Brought a large group for a Christmas meal. Food was delicious — especially for a gluten intolerant used to meagre portions and going home hungry. Staff were professional and courteous and the room was beautifully decorated. We hope to be back again next year.

Just has our Sunday lunch at this beautiful quaint place in the middle of Ruislip. Haven't been here for years. A 3 course Sunday lunch which was beautiful, tasty and loads of it. If you want modern. Not you cup of tea… if you want friendly and old school with good old values… its a DEFINATE MUST. See you soon guys.

I booked this venue for my Mums 80th BirthdayAfternoon Tea. We had a lovely time. We had a private room and were allowed to decorate with balloons and flowers. The food was excellent and plentiful. Our waitress Shamila was brilliant and nothing was too much trouble. The bartenders are two young ladies who were both called Sophie they were excellent. We all had a lovely time. I throughly recommend.

We had a fabulous Mother's Day 3 course roast delivered yesterday, and will certainly be having more in the future. It will be lovely to actually sit inside and eat, hopefully we won't have to wait too long for that. Can highly recommend 👌

I took part in a styled photo shoot at The Barn Hotel. The Tudor style buildings are so well kept and create a very romantic atmosphere, perfect for celebrations.
The staff has always been at hand for anything we might have needed and indeed very kind in helping us setting up for the day.

Delicious lunch in the beautiful beer garden, very relaxing and enjoyable. Great choice of food on the menu and staff attentive. Will definitely be back!

The Barn Hotel was the perfect venue for my daughter’s wedding. Such a beautiful building and great location for our guests travelling from outside London. I thank Neetoo and her colleagues who made sure the day ran smoothly; the ceremony, the afternoon tea, the evening buffet and even breakfast for those who stayed overnight. The food was wonderful. Thank you everyone.

Stayed here on the 18th June and was really impressed with the size and cleanliness of the rooms. Amazing bathroom. Breakfast was great too and all staff very helpful.
Perfect location to travel into Wembley. Would definitely stay again.

Nice little place to chill in the bar, staff are friendly and the place is a good area to just go to have a very quiet drink.

I cannot recommend The Barn Hotel or it’s staff highly enough. I was married here 2 weeks ago and Katherine the Manager and Neetoo the Banqueting Manager were superb. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The food, plentiful and exquisite. The staff, polite and professional. And the venue, well, charming, warm and welcoming. Frankly, my stay was wonderful. I had the best day of my life. Thank you all!

My room was great but others in my large party has smelly toilets ("like a urinal") and water leaking from a room above. Food order was wrong and the chips seemed to be cheapo frozen ones.

Simply the nicest venue. We went for the tasting menu and they ably accommodated my wife's dislike of fish. On arrival we had a drink in the bar to await our table. Host could not have been more attentive. Canapes served before we went in. Meal was perfect and beautifully paced. Cannot fault and will definitely return.

Basic room but adequate. Good Continental breakfast. Unfortunately there was a function on and the noise level was very bad, weather got so had to keep windows open. Drunken people playing football outside at 3am!

Thank you to the catering staff for providing a gluten-dairy free meal at short notice today. Despite the hotel being extremely busy, the staff quickly made a lovely meal for my niece.

Cozy and romantic. Big parking, very close to undeground station, good kitchen. Perfect for romantic dates.

Great food, good service. I didn't stay overnight so can't comment on rooms. A bit dated but if that's your thing then this place is good. Car parking available and short walk to Ruislip station on the Metropolitan and Piccadilly line.

Clean and tidy rooms with a great base for exploring the area. Train station is next door. Only negtive was the floorboars in the room. Old building creaking with every step.

Attended a funeral wake here. What a beautiful setting and wonderful old buildings. The buffet was hot and varied together with a selection of sandwiches and cream tea scones.

We just had a meal yesterday 15th April, we have been here many times before and enjoyed thoroughly. But this visit, staff were not 'on the ball', e. G. Steak knife and condiments had to be asked for. When we requested to take away out left overs, the waitress grudgingly said 'OK' (was it too much trouble? I expect the reply to be 'Certainly Sir'). As for the food, I must say the steak was the best I ever tasted, but the chips were like Mac Donald's skinny ones. I expect proper chips, these seemed like they came out of a packet. We have done these monthly outings (to various restaurants) on 15th of every month since Jan 2010 when we got married. I make that nigh on 100. This is the first time ever we had to sign a form to take away our left over chips and chicken — RIDICULOUS. If you are going to give this kind of service I suggest you halve the prices.

Excellent hotel, good service and pleasant staff. The rooms though big were clean and lovely touch of the wine and grapes and nuts as a welcome. The reception staff was excellent allowing the family to access rooms earlier as they had been traveling for 15 hrs.

Lovely food and great hospitality Though it's fine dining I personally found the portions a bit small. But again I'm 6ft and love food. The head waiter Brian was very attentive.

Whenever we are in Ruislip we go to the Barn for Lunch or Afternoon tea. We've been going there for many years and it never disappointed until our last visit 3 days ago. We went to the Barn for Lunch. I ordered the Chicken Cesar, which I had many times before and it was always delicious but not on that day. Despite the fact that the salat looked like the chef had a bad day, I also found a mysterious unidentified object on my plate which could be anything but had nothing to do with my salat. I showed it to the very young waiter, who took it to the Kitchen to show the Chef. He then came back to tell me the object I found was the dry herb Rosemary, which I can assure you it wasn't. Then the young man proceeded to argue with me, as I also mentioned the state of the Salat. I suggest to the Manager of the Barn to give their staff better customer service skills, its not becoming to fight with your customers who have a warranted reason to complain. I doubt I will come back, it left me very uncomfortable.

Had my works Christmas dinner at the Barn Hotel. It’s a great place with a great atmosphere. Would highly recommend!

Good food and flexible staff! We were a bit late for an evening snack, and the waiter actually jumped in the kitchen to get the cook (he was preparing him self to go home) and he made this fresh and tasty fish and chips for us. Great experience!

The food was nice. The hotel has a nice cosy feel to it. It's in a great location, right next to Ruislip station.

Alot of maintenance needs to be done as the rooms are OK but I think things are old, none of the telephones work as I have several colleagues in different rooms on different parts. This place has great potential but it'd falling down on the little things. There are little black k flies which are probably from the garden which isn't a problem until breakfast when things are left out and a bunch of flies settle on things. It's completely unhygienic. The customer service is hit and miss. Some people are very friendly and helpful and others barely speak to you.

The English standard after very pleasant. Perfect for sleeping and showering. Subway is within 5 minutes of easy reach and in about 60 minutes you will be in the city.
The area is quite pleasant.
is recommended for people without a great demand.

My experience at the barn well the room was roomy yet the carpet could do with a proper clean stains everywhere. Noisy could not sleep the one night with the noise from the room next door, made the staff aware of it all I got was really sorry. The continental breakfast is not worth the price of the stay at the hotel brought my own coffee. Shower did not work. My honest opinion is that the place needs major renovations always smells musky in the dining and after the lobby. The only posh place is the lobbby…

Lovely staff, lovely bar, great food and pretty clean… but I have never quite experienced floorboard creaking so much. I was really comfortable until my upstairs neighbours arrived, at which point they might as well have been sat next to me doing their best impressions of formula 1 cars in my ear. If you stay at this hotel, make sure you don't get a ground floor room.

Just had our wedding and The staff couldn't do enough for us, we had a fantastic day and evening and the food was amazing. The DJ recommended by the Barn was fantastic, music spot on dancing all night the dance floor wasn't empty once. The photographer also recommended by the Barn was fantastic his photo's captured everything perfectly. Neetoo and john were amazing the whole day. We are going back for our anniversary next year and we can't wait.

Nice setting, lovely main meal although desert could have been better. Staff were polite and overall the hotel was very nice and clean.

The staff were very helpful and friendly at all times. The venue was well maintained and clean, food was a roast buffet which was hot and tasted superb. I didn't see much, just our meeting room, the pretty garden and the toilets, so I haven't rated it 5, as I haven't seen the whole place, but it's in an excellent location and would definitely recommend it.

Had afternoon tea with friends to celebrate a birthday, the food was fantastic, fresh sandwiches, scones were very light and everything tasted delicious. I had a glass of Champagne with mine, this was very nice too. The ambience was very calming and the staff were very friendly. Looking forward to another visit, with weather permitting next time, hope to be able to walk round the groundswell. Well done and thank you for looking after us.

Lovely hotel. Great for functions. Nice gardens. The bedroom was small but clean and tidy. We got a fan from reception as it was so hot. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had bar food. The menu was limited but good.

This was our second stay at The Barn Hotel and again they delivered in every aspect. The rooms are just stunning and so comfortable after a long day sight seeing in London. To come back to a place like this after a long happy but tiring day is an absolute delight and is almost a necessity. This hotel is a perfect location as it's right next door to Ruislip tube station, so you can crawl off the train and straight to bed after a long day being a tourist. The staff are just amazing, everyone are so friendly and they make one feel very special. These simple gestures cost nothing, but they mean a lot. Breakfast is served in a brilliantly ornate restaurant and is properly served by waitresses with a delicious selection of cereals, fresh fruit and croissants as well as that excellent full English. I cannot recommend the Barn Hotel highly enough for it's excellent location, brilliant staff, overall ambience and not to mention the stunning gardens where, in the summer, there's nowhere better to enjoy a drink al-fresco. Thank you to everyone, particularly Catherine the manager who is the epitome of efficiency and professionalism, yet treats every customer like a best friend. Now that's customer service and good management too!

We had a lovely family meal here to celebrate a birthday. The food was tempting, tasty and beautifully cooked. The restaurant is cosy yet still roomy enough to eat comfortably. Waiting staff were friendly and all in all we had a delightful evening. Would thoroughly recommend.

Very interesting hotel made up with a number of traditional houses. Excellent garden, excellent food and services, very warm feeling. The meeting room is adequate. More parking space would be better.

The hotel is quaint, the grounds are beautiful and the breakfast is good but this isn't a hotel for anyone seeking modern accommodations. My room lacked AC, fortunately it wasn't hot and opening up windows was more than sufficient, windows don't have screens so you may get a few bugs. The location is near a grocery store and the Ruislip station, there are several food choices within walking distance.

Afternoon tea (vegetarian) at the barn hotel is phenominal! Service was amazing — would definitely return!

Was only there for quick visit to attend part of a conference. Car Park is not the best, but the venue is visually pleasing and staff are very friendly and welcoming.

Excellent room and service. Bathroom may be a little small — but is extremely clean with a wonderful heated towel rack and great personal products… even a polisher for my shoes! Bed is sooooo comfortable! Food is excellent! Grounds are so pretty. The only negative is the volume of the music — a little too loud for my taste, especially during breakfast. I would absolutely return!

Had afternoon tea, service was good, room was well decorated. Tea was topped up regularly, only gripe was there didn't seem to be enough food between us for the price we paid.

My daughter booked myself and my husband into the hotel to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. The hotel kindly upgraded us FOC. I have to say the whole expereince at the hotel was wonderful and made my weekend very special. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Slightly sprawling lowrise place, almost American style layout as you approach it, which makes it more of a surprise when you walk into the historic barn which houses the restaurant and find that it is nicely fitted out with open fire, paintings, and a tapestry. We had an impromptu family stay at the hotel booked at short notice and had a really good time. The size of room that we got was really terrific for the money, with a very large bathroom as well. The inclusive cooked breakfast was delicious and very generous with friendly service. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend a stay here if you are in the area.

Small thin walled rooms where I had to endure a sleepless night in an uncomfortable bed listening to other guests footsteps, flatulence and fornication.

Stayed in the deans lodge Bangkok suite. Room was very nice. 2 floors and spacious. Very clean and the bathrooms were nice too. However, on a sunny day the second floor of the room gets very hot and there is no air conditioning. This resulted in a useless second floor and a family of 5 sharing a king bed and a floor/couch. Only had the burger for lunch and it was awful. Could not get ppv in the room as advertised. Front desk was generally not very helpful. Overall, nice room but can't recommend.

If you get a room in the Deans Lodge part of the hotel, you will get exactly what's seen on the website, however if you are in the standard accomodation expect dated bedding (my blanket was matted and patchy), mould in the corners of the room and water scaldingly hot with a very tricky to balance manual shower. The breakfast buffet was varied and mostly good, but the edges of the table cloths were noticably grubby.
