Brilliant Beauty and the Beast Afternoon Tea, would definitely recommend! Great service and a lovely atmosphere!

This is an overall excellent London hotel property featuring a wonderful breakfast.

We spent 5 nights at the Waldorf. So close to many theatres in the area, close to Covent Gardens, and just a short walk to Trafalgar Square. Very helpful staff and lovely breakfast.

Super hotel, spacious and comfortable room, fantastic location. Best in-room tea tray set up ever including a teapot!

Excellent location for this lovely hotel, perfect for nightlife, theatres, bars and restaurants. The staff are super polite and you feel well looked after.

Had the most amazing weekend staying at The Waldorf. The hotel is beautiful and very well looked after. All the staff were most helpful and friendly and welcoming. We had the privilege of using the executive lounge and the surrounds were just fabulous too. Lovely evening drinks and canapés. Only suggestion would be that the canapés were brought around more often or we were given more than 1 small canapé every 15 minutes. Suite was a fabulous size overlooking the Main Street. No noise from other guests or outside despite being close to theatres. Would defo stay again and recommend to anyone staying in London.

This is NOT nice hotel, more like a budget hotel with a four star price. The furniture is ripped and tired but WORSE is our view of a dirty glass structure. So disappointing. Front desk won’t help as they’re fully booked. Even though we are supposedly “diamond” Hilton members and booked this room a month ago. I think “diamond” member has come to equate with the worst views in the house. Meanwhile our companion travelers have a lovely room with a street view. They are on the same reservation as us. Ugh. Dark and dingy rooms with old, ripped and mismatched furniture are not what we consider a nice hotel. Do NOT let them give you room 103.

Lovely gifts for the children when we checked in. Concierge was always friendly and helpful. Gym and pool access was fantastic. Executive lounge staff were friendly and helpful.

Quite possibly the most disappointing hotel stay I have ever had. Aside from the location and the incredibly lovely doormen, there are very few redeeming qualities to this hotel. The rooms are small and the beds are uncomfortable. The pillows are paper thin. When we arrived to our room, the A/C wasn’t working. We called and maintenance informed us the unit was hard set to heat. The room took 4 hours to cool down so we requested a fan THREE different times and no fan ever arrived. We ordered room service on our last night and ordered the vegan burger on the menu. They brought a chicken sandwich instead because “they don’t have the vegan burger” but didn’t call to ask what kind of replacement we would like. You will be specifically paying for a great location here but that alone doesn’t make it worth it the price. We came here by recommendation and to say we have been completely disappointed is an understatement. Do yourself a favor and find a better place to stay.

Elegant Old world hotel, it would be great for a couple or for a family. Has everything. It’s very nice. Some minor things could use updating (Probably not the best place for a single person looking for fun) locations quite good. This was my first London Hotel.

Groupon deal given as a present. Meal really nice and staff friendly and professional. Only complaint adding a high service charge this was removed and we tipped anyway. Too presumptuous of hotel to do this.

Service very poor. Afternoon tea a real disappointment. Presentation and quality of food sadly unacceptable. A festive treat at this hotel was spoiled. Buffet breakfast also lacking in presentation. Communicated with hotel through the CEO and Concierge but alas not even the courtesy of a reply. The hotel did not come up to expectation.

I've only had Afternoon Tea here however my experience was lovely. Fresh sandwiches and cakes, nicely displayed and very delicious. The portions of jam and cream (and prosecco! ) are generous and they have a range of specialist teas to choose from. The Hotel staff are very friendly and professional and the overall place looks very luxury indeed.

Old school luxury. The breakfast salon is amazing, and very nice choices. The bed very confortable and the shower the best! A/C unit a bit dated, not very powerful. Very attentive staff.

When I review, I'm usually very pleased with what I review, but when staying in The Waldorf Hilton London, I never really enjoyed myself at all. We were a family of 5 and they just wouldn't let us stay in the same room. They offered us rooms on the same level but they were at different ends of the corridor! In the room, there were two beds. One that looked like it could fit 3 people easily and the other fitting 2 but 'we had to be in different rooms'. Food was ok and so was the pool but overall. 1.5 of 5

The Waldorf Hilton is an elegant property. Built in the early 1900's the building has beautiful crown molding and marble throughout. There is an indoor pool and large workout area. The food is quite good. Breakfast is abundant with a great number of items on the buffet as well as a la carte options. The executive lounge is comfy and the staff there very helpful. In all of my interactions with the staff and management I was pleasantly surprised at how warm, courteous, and professional they were. They really make you feel welcome and go out of their way to accommodate your needs. I look forward to coming here again.

Hotel staff very polite and helpful. Gym staff not so… we were lied to. Spa facilities poor… the pool area way too slippy. The steam room didn’t work. The sauna was nice and hot though. Very small spa facilities for such a renowned hotel.

On our 2nd visit here this year and once again a very good hotel. Excellent rooms cannot fault them. Staff very efficient and friendly. Executive lounge and breakfast don't really cater for vegans however upon request we were made some delicious additions to our breakfast without any fuss.

Excellent stay, they provided cake and card in our room knowing it was our anniversary. Reception staff friendly and efficient, room lovely, spacious, clean and bed was so comfortable. Location of hotel excellent, wish we had stayed longer, will recommend and certainly be back when next in London.

Very nice location. Amazing building and an incredible place to stay. Was not able to use the facilities to their max, but had a lovely stay in a small suite. Which was rather over the top with two TVs. Lovely place to spread out, lots of space, even being in the loft. Only down side is could not see much or the window. Staff did not stand out as being overly helpful or friendly. Thus loss of star.

Beautiful Ewardian hotel in the heart of London. Very good food and service from well-trained staff. Wonderful meeting rooms and function spaces — Palm Court is spectacular. Bedrooms are generally first-rate.

Had a lovely early dinner before going to the theatre next door. The hake was superb and the Lemon tart scrumptious! Our waitress Alice was delightful and knowledgeable recommending dishes from the menu and was very attentive. Both my friend and I enjoyed our dining experience and look forward to returning.

This venue is like coming home to us. We visit two or three times a year and enjoy a glass of chardonnay and watch the world go by. The Afternoon Tea is excellent.

I stayed a week there and found the level of service to be generally good. My towel heater wasn't working and nobody fixed the situation until I called the front desk. But other than that this is quite a pleasant hotel with a wonderful location close to the theaters. Having said this, one incident really upset me. On Saturday I checked out of and paid for room 321 using my overseas credit card. When the receptionist processed my card payment, she had simply pressed Enter without consulting me on which currency I wanted to use. I asked her twice if I was being charged in sterling pounds and twice she assured me this was so. After looking over the receipt and still unclear about this, I checked with my friends at the airport. That's when I could confirm she had picked my national currency on my behalf. This is upsetting. This means I potentially paid more money than I should and also have lost my credit card points for overseas purchases. I have stayed a week in your hotel so we are talking about quite a sum. I do think you need to coach your receptionist to always ask your guests which currency they want to use. They are not in a position to decide on the guest's behalf. Remember that when I had double checked with her — literally — twice I had been assured I had paid in British pounds. Clearly this was misrepresentation. I left this same feedback a day ago on your Facebook page but there has been no response.

Well located hotel very close to Covent Garden and Somerset House. Exec rooms lovely and spacious and Exec lounge a friendly and relaxing haven. Breakfast on ground floor is superb.

For the price of the room this was bang average. Clean and tidy but rooms are very dated and old fashioned. Bed not particularly comfortable. Bar area was very good and staff were attentive and friendly but overall not worth the money. Stayed in better hotels in London.

Modestly but gracefully. The hotel looks quite old, but it's all very good. Rooms, breakfasts, etc.

The hotel looks smart in it's art deco style. However for a marketed 'luxury' hotel it certainly does not warrant 4 or 5 stars! Sink was blocked, had to search high and low for hairdryer (not in usual locations), there was no bin in bedroom. Bit disappointing that the small things were not given enough attention. Sorry but just having robes in wardrobe is not enough to call it luxury.

This was fun for a friends special birthday. I brought our meal on Groupon. I was informed they will not be doing that anymore. A shame.

I went here for afternoon tea to celebrate a friend's 70th birthday. This was lovely. £29.50 for a glass of champagne and the tea. We were a group of ten and included one who could not eat dairy and another who was gluten intolerant. The hotel catered for us all and the food was Fab! This is a gem and I would go back.

I spent a delightful weekend at this hotel and enjoyed every minute. The sheer luxury did not disappoint but what I liked most was that it combined the 30s/40s atmosphere with the present very well; it made me wish I could go back in time to those wonderful days and sipping a cocktail in their fabulous bar I could almost imagine it was Noel Coward at the piano. Excellent!

Fantastic hotel with friendly staff. The location was fantastic for the theatre, only 5 minutes from the Savoy theatre. They even treated us to a cake to celebrate my Birthday. The room we had was a queen suite on the 7th floor. It was clean quiet and comfortable.

Great location near Covent Garden. Rooms are spacious and classically furnished.

The Waldorf is one of London's most famous and iconic hotels and lives up to everything you would expect from a too London hotel. I visited this time for lunch and everything about the experience was perfect. The food, the service and all the staff were excellent. Not cheap but I felt it was money well spent and I would recommend the Waldorf to anyone.

Old Hotel with small rooms, needs a modernization.
However the staff is very attentive and makes you feel welcome.

Okay food, service is excellent. The building is excellent, the only thing I would stay that I would give 5 stars for was the food wasn’t amazing. But it was good. Maybe next time… definitely go back.

We passed by chance and decided to go in. All very cozy and nice.

Hotel is old and the room decor dated. Clean and comfy though. We waited over an hour in our room for the kids sofa bed to be made and then get a kettle to make them a hot drink. Not acceptable. And appalling at £500 a night. My wife ended up taking the cups down to reception to beg for hot water. Put a real dampener on our otherwise pleasant weekend away. Not returning. Awful.

Great hotel that is very clean. Staff are very well presented, friendly and welcoming. The hotel is a great location, easy access to theatres and Soho. Definitely would stay here again.

Great Lounge and very friendly staff!

The Walford Hinton is a prestigious luxury hotel in the Hilton, just a short walk from Trafalgar Square and all of London's wonderful tourist attractions. It is the venue of important events, especially those related to fashion shows. Sophisticated but not pretentious.

This hotel is a real gem in the theatre district of London. Try and get a room with breakfast included. It is a great deal to have the breakfast included, it is good value and the meal is delicious. Breakfast in London is hard to get, and this is a great way to start out your day. The other option is to get an executive room with lounge access, that works too. The gym and pool are great for a hotel in London. One of my favourite spots in London!

Nice Hotel
The Waldorf is a very nice hotel, well located in the Coven Garden in the middle of theatres, restaurants and close to public transport. We were pleasantly surprised to be able to do the checkin as soon as we arrived around 10:30. The staff are very professional and very nice. Our room was quite small but very comfortable just like the bathroom. The only downside was that it overlooked the air conditioning outlets so it was quite noisy. The breakfast is well complete with English preparations.

Our family stayed a week in Hilton Waldorf. I reserved a two double bed or a superior room with a Main Street view almost a year in advance. After a late check-in because our room wasn't ready, we got into a small room with beds attached with no room between them with no view. After multiple calls and getting ignored, the front desk promised changing the room in few days because the hotel is full and no vacancy for the room that we were promised a year in advance. Also promised to get a discount. Our room never got available and hotel denied the promised discount. During the checkout, I got an option to charge in dollars or pounds. I noticed the dollar exchange rate was about 4% over that day's market exchange rate. I asked being charged in pound and I signed the credit card charge in pounds. I thought I'm going getting charged in ponds but I was charged in dollar on the fraudulent exchange rate. I would have never expected to get scammed by Hilton. Thinking such a reputable chain hotel would never treat a customer like that. Keep your guards up and don't trust the name.

Great staff, nice sized room, good toiletries offered. Pillows are a bit too soft, no real support from them. The room we were in was under a room where we hear people moving furniture around at all hours of the night so don't stay in room 126.

I just went in for a quick drink before a show. It's near quite a few theatres. It's clean, tidy, posh and lovely! Obviously quite expensive but it's what you expect from central London. Would like to stay there one day if I get the chance in future.

I had afternoon tea at the Waldorf Hilton. The staff was pleasant. The ambiance was perfect. I'd definitely recommend!

Check in was easy, they let us check in early around 11. The room is quiet and clean. What more can you ask for?

The setting for afternoon tea was fabulous — the staff were friendly and there was an excellent harpist playing which created a lovely atmosphere. Unfortunately we had several flies landing on our cakes and buzzing around the whole time which did put us off and we decided not to eat some of the cakes due to this. The food was tasty but not the best afternoon tea I have had.

This used to be a nice hotel. It's under renovation so if you are lucky you'll get a room that has been renovated and is nice now. The rooms are smaller than expected for London but generally quite nice. The service is generally good. The gym and pool is much better than you would expect for a hotel pool and gym.

It's one of the flagships so unsurprisingly the service was impeccable. The room I stayed in was lovely and spacious, light and airy (nice change to other Hilton branches with dim and dull rooms). Look forward to being able to stay again in the future.

Fabulous champagne tea served in a lovely environment. A relaxed environment with a harpist playing while you enjoyed your afternoon tea. The room was large and airy with gold laural leaves on the ceiling and large palms adorned the floor.

About the only plus to this hotel is the location. Front desk and executive club staff are also very nice, but I find most of the "service" mostly lip service. The building old, oddly partitioned and in need of more than the purely cosmetic refurb they have done in the last years. Rooms are very hit or miss with little control over whether you get something perfectly fine (but never outstanding) or outright tiny and miserable. This trip work up to repeated banging on the roof (the bonus of staying on the top floor) which took 3 calls to the front desk to even acknowledge what was going on. Once assured it would be short lived, I finally gave up on a leisurely morning and left. Was still going on when I returned 4 hours later.

Very nice and affordable Bar for a drink. Servers a little overwhelmed. Tapas good without more.

Great clean room, only issue was there wasn't much space to move because the room was a little small. The bathroom was clean and amazing and the restaurant was perfect. They rushed our meal for us because we were going to the theatre. Classic with a modern twist.

We've been to the hotel before, and everytime is great. The staff are friendly and the food is tasty. The room size for a central London hotel are fantastic for the price.

I love staying at the waldorf. The hotel is conveniently located to almost everything in central london. Very friendly staff.

Should be better for a hotel of this tier. Lots of little small things don't work as you'd expect. The Wi-Fi has a bad checkin system. Cleaners take your soap bars each day, one day not leaving replacements. Food is quite average. The lifts can leave you waiting for so long I started just walking the 5 stories during peak times. And the pillows are really soft/flat. Definitly need to start looking at the small things a bit better here.

Beautiful rooms with a ton of amenities including a heated drying rack for your damp possessions — essential for any stay in London. The shower faucet is like a steam punk fusion of an old-timey telephone and a bunch of levers. Took about a minute of staring to sort out. Concierge and staff helpful, friendly. Would absolutely stay again.

I was on a conference here and liked the place. The conference rooms were nice, comfy, good sound and visual. Also the staff were pleasant and helpful. Do not know about the rooms but organising an event there for sure is 5 stars.

Close to most theaters. Updated classic English style hotel. Most services are well done. Don't expect your rrom to be made up by noon even if you turn on make room light. TV service is low def rubbish. Why put in HD TVs and limit signal to low def? Lounge is so so. Seem to cut on some food and drink options as compared to other Hilton properties. Check in and check out can be unnecessarily long.

A few of us (3) stayed at the Waldorf Hilton in October 2015 for the. NFL series at Wembley. We had a Hilton executive room which gave us access to the Executive Lounge where complimentary canapes and drinks were served throughout the day. After 6pm, beer wines and spirits were also offered at no extra charge. We visited the executive lounge on several occasions and feel paying extra for an executive room is well worth the. Additional spend. Our room was for the three so was spacious and due to demand that weekend d we were given and accessible room, no real difference to other rooms if anything did have a little more space. Hotel is in an excellent location, close by to many theatres, shops and cafes. London is accessible by foot, bus or tube from this hotel. Lovely hotel, staff were helpful, would recommend.

I lived so many hotels, this can front three. This hotel is clean, the rooms spacious and bright, the bar warm and comfortable, is a leisure good place, and there was a variety of cocktails and wine, all delicious, and we'll be sure to come back!

The staff were lovely and helpful, and the cocktail bar is fabulous. The room was on the 7th floor, overlooking the back. It was a smoking room, and definitely smelt like it. The sheet had a big rip in it, and the facilities in the room looked very dated and tired. When I used the toilets bear the gym the decor there looked old, with parts falling off the wall, and the stairs back up needed a good hoover and a clean. Convenient location, but for the price you expect better, *much* better. We had dinner booked at Kaspers at the savoy, walking in there was a much more pleasant experience, stunning, and what I would have expected at the Warldorf!

Staff were very polite and the room was top quality. Great online check in experience too. Lovely piano lounge and delicious lunch. Pool closed at 5pm and could have been slightly warmer but nice to have! Great location for Covent Garden, would definitely recommend.

The Hilton chain have the same issue most successful businesses have which is keeping their extremely high standard. Taking into account the fact that this was the most expensive Hilton we've stayed in it was far from the best experience we've had. Being able to check in using the app was handy, entering a freezing cold room on a winters day was not handy. The air conditioning was set to the coldest setting. The bed was rock hard. So uncomfortable. The pillows were pathetic. They gave as much support as an actual cloud. We did not sleep well at all. We've had better sleeps at some budget hotels. Their had a few other issues with the room which you would expect from a budget hotel such as switches not working, missing grout etc. The breakfast was spot on as expected, really nice, plenty of choice and attentive waiting on staff. The coffee was really strong though. There was a mix up with my bill which nearly left me £99 out of pocket but that issue was resolved. With the amount of hotels in London the Waldorf would be the last hotel we stay in the next time we visit London.

My Girlfriend and I visited for dinner, which was 3 courses and a glass of champagne. The service was excellent, the waiters and waitresses were quite good at giving you space but being nearby if needed. The food was beautiful, excellently cooked and very attractively presented. After dinner we headed to the Bar and had a couple of cocktails which again were very good. We had a fabulous time and would definitely go again.

Excellent service throughout my stay. Superb room and facilities in a quiet part of the hotel as requested at time of booking. Oh — and the cocktails are rather good too! Thoroughly recommended.

Great hotel perfect location for everything in London. Would have been 5 stars but the breakfast was very disappointing waited 45 minutes for a poached egg which I gave up waiting for!

Very nice looking hotel but you are paying over the odds due to it's location. If this was not in central London I would expect better.

From the moment I walked in the door the service at the hotel was incomparable. The location was perfect — in a central location it allowed me to walk where I needed to go or catch the bus right down the road from the hotel. The lounge was very nice, as was the fitness room. The interior design and architecture was gorgeous. Overall a very enjoyable stay. One of the best hotel stays.

Very nice atmosphere, food was very good, prosecco not a fan and the pubbing was I bit hard to cut but starters and main was very yum. I would go agen so I did in joy in very much, the staff were excellent 5* for them.

Great service. One of the best Hilton's on London. Only downside is executive lounge always seems to be packed so can struggle for a seat. Should either be larger or more executive!

Good afternoon tea. Rooms can be hit and miss which is disappointing considering the price.

I've stayed twice this summer on business for around 2 weeks at a time each time. This should not have the Waldorf brand name nor the Hilton brand associated. There's maybe 2 people in the entire hotel Sunny and one Front Desk gentleman that are genuine. They should really fire everyone else. Restaurant, housekeeping, front desk office and bellman especially, EVERYONE. Customer service is nonexistent. It's as if they hired the worst British people they could find.

Good location for tourists. My room was small but beautifully appointed and very recently renovated. Great gym and swimming pool (albeit could be busy as it's also a regular members gym). I found it very odd that there was no bellman on the door when I arrived — not only that but I (and several others) had to buzz for entry — it was only 11pm. Not a great first impression: that's the sort of thing I'd expect of one of the 2 star places around Victoria, not a 5 star carrying the Waldorf brand. But overall, a good choice if the price is right.

This was our third stay at the Waldorf so you can see we love the Hotel but on our check out this time we reported problem with one of the staff at the desk on leaving the executive lounge the day before we reported this to a member of check out she said I will have a word with management and he would contact us as this was 13/2/15 to 15/2/15 we are now wondering If this was ever reported.

On 24 August we arrived at this hotel for the experience of the 'Waldorf Tea' our group was booked for 3pm. We eagerly waited to enter the restaurant only to find the hotel had double booked our time slot. After a lot of discussion with management another time was offered for the following day at 1pm. As we had already booked another tour for the next day we waited until 4.45 to be squeezed into a corner. The 'tea' arrived minus the finger sandwiches, which I had to ask for, just 5 tired looking scones and some fancy cakes. We were not offered any champagne which everyone else seemed to be drinking, so our personal celebration was a bit lacking, the harpist had even left the room! Breakfast the following morning was equally chaotic, the manager, whom I spoke to a few times, was surprised that so many guests wanted breakfast. There was a lack of toasting bread, porridge, butter and fried eggs. Did they not know how many guests were staying? The staff were reacting somewhat to requests but no one was actually looking and being pro-active. A disappointing experience for us.

This hotel was very nice. My room was small but comfortable. The bathroom was very nice/modern. Hotel staff members were pleasant, professional and made my stay delightful. I really enjoyed "high tea" in the Executive Lounge (daily). The lounge was always well stocked and the food was delicious.

Room was lovely, very clean and just as expected. Breakfast was horrendous! Very little food at the buffet; tables not cleared so we were directed to the buffet whilst one was hastily cleared but there were no glasses or crockery available. We had to ask several times for additional crockery to be provided at which point staff merely counted the number of people asking for a plate and handed them out — bit like being back at school.

Booked this hotel for my 80th, was upgraded to include breakfast and a refurbished room as the room we had booked for £400 for 2 nights was windowless. A bottle of wine was offered for my birthday which I chose a Rose'. A bottle of white was sent up which I cannot drink and we were told theyhad no Rose' available. I find this hard to believe in a Hotel of this standard. Breakfast was not up to scratch on cold plates and fried eggs also cold, toaster had seen better days and was either burnt to a cinder or not at all. Although we had paid well in advance January to be exact we were sent a further bill with a letter asking for payment as soon as possible. This turned out to be from some other persons credit card details for which they apologised. On the plus side the bed was extremely comfortable and we both slept well. |Staff very helpful. Would not stay again was not value for money against Premier Inn's breakfast, bed and 3 course meal for £134 for 2.

The hotel makes a great impression, your room could not keep from the outside. It was not 5 star standard, but only 3 stars. It was simple, and the geranzt, and worn. In addition, the shower was an imposition. On TV, there was lots of Russians, but no single German channel (as opposed to the 2 weeks earlier visited intercontinental London Westminster). The Wi-Fi cost, unlike the Intercont. £ 15 per 24 hours The room was the biggest disappointment, and not more to book take me to this hotel. Actually very sad, because the ambience of the hotel was very comfortable and the staff very friendly. Also I felt breakfast as appealing, alone because of the spaciousness of an experience. When I criticized the reception room, I got support from another guest, who was apparently still angry about the booked room.
