It was decent, we had a room in the basement that smelled like, well, basement and windows to the busy street outside, so a bit noisy but very nice and helpful staff and a good location close to Kings Cross. New towels every day and clean rooms.

Perfect located near King's Cross and St Pancras, a lot of shops near by. Staff was very friendly, gave us a bigger room when we asked. Rooms are clean and fine for a few days, beds are comfortable, only the bathroom a bit too small and without any shelves, not that good for two girls ;-) Breakfast is continental with toast, croissants, jam, variety of juices, coffee, tea. Good start for the day! Reception is open 24hrs. And we could leave our luggage there free of charge after check-out. Would definitely come back! Thanks for the nice stay!

Nightmare hotel. Hotel staff have an unbelievably bad attitude. Prices way too expensive. 3 nights cost me £377 when the Travelodge across the road was £50 cheaper. Room smelled of stagnant water, cigarettes and lemon urinal cubes. The floors covered in dust and long hairs — upon closer inspection there was barely a square inch not covered in women's hair. Walls were stained and the framed piece of art hanging in the room had signs of damp. Hotel is one of those in London that doesn't have to rely on repeat business as it's a prime example of a tourist trap that can always attract business by getting bookings from people travelling to London without the need to improve.

Awful service and impolite personnel. I was charged twice by the hotel. Not recommemded. In fact, stay away from it.

I think for what it's worth this is a good place. £60 for a single bed with en-suit next to Kings Cross. You really cannot go wrong. Breakfast is basic, but sufficient. Toilets and bathrooms have been recently refurbished and are to a very high standard. Basic rooms, communal areas etc could do with want ancinpafrase.

Room was dirty, basement room. There was a lot of rubbish outside the window area, asked for it to be cleaned up. The bathroom was dirty with mould areas, had to ask for that to be cleaned up too. Ok, so it was the cheapest room/option in the hotel, but still, it was so unkept & dirty before I arrived. And the vibrations coming through the thin windows, from the passing buses, made it very difficult to sleep. Asked to upgrade the room, reception gave me a cold "No, all booked up". He took my payment before I even saw the room, so was hard to leave the place and find somewhere else. I stayed at this place a few years ago, I hope that older room is refurbished. But judging from the attitude of the staff, it probably isn't.

Apparently it is a place according to the price and the city, but it is quite disappointing. It's not very comfortable, or anything fancy, it's more a guest house than a hotel. Plus it's OK if you like to find bed bugs (a nasty experience, especially if you've never seen one). A penalty of place and nothing advisable.

I stayed 3 nights. The best breakfast and location.
The very small bathroom and the walls are very thin, plus the sliding curtain was always up.
In relation price-quality is not satisfactory but London is an expensive city. Not a bad choice but neither the best.

I've stayed here a couple of times, but it's one of those places that's difficult to kinda fairly review. It's not a great hotel; but it's location and it's price are extremely good for the area. Even on a Saturday night you can pick up a good rate if other places (like the Travelodge next door) creep up in prices. the rooms are small, and bed is low — it's cramped, you can't walk to the toilet without being hit with the TV. Tea and coffee stuff — but no spoons?! No wardrobe but a pole for clothing held together by hair bands. But, it is held together on a slightly comedic bad rather than anywhere truly terrible or dangerous. Breakfast is included but bland.

A little pricey for what it is but usual within the average London hotel. Very good beds and water pressure in the shower. Near St. PANCRAS King Cross. Breakfast very scarce, you give them the slices of bread and tea. The woman who administers the breakfast has very bad manners. We wouldn't choose it again.

The rooms are well appointed, the staff friendly and the breakfast adequate. Better always goes but price performance fit.

The room was very nice and the bathroom was very small… The building is old so you can not catch much. Very good location, that's what you can salvage.

Horrible experience! The staff at the check-in was extremely unfriendly, not even saying "Hi, welcome, thank you", just fill in the form and find your room. Our room was 2 stairs down, again 2 stairs up (no lift available), with luggage this is very unpleasant. Downstairs it was a maze! The room itself was super small, the double room has a bed which is 120x180, not very suitable for a couple. The walls were sticky, the bed end was sticky, even the curtains were sticky, it was disgusting! You cannot lock the door, not from the outside nor the inside. I just opens and closes with the key. In the morning while we were dressing up around 9:30 AM (check-out was 11 AM). Someone just opened the door without knocking, and saw us, closed the door and ran away (without saying a thing?! ) Now what is that for privacy? When we complained about it, we only got "Oh sorry, probably house cleaning". It includes breakfast, but after seeing the hotel on the inside, the entrance, the rooms and the service; we skipped the breakfast. This place shouldn't even deserve 1 star.

Close to Kings' Cross and St Pancras, perfect for a one or two nights stay. Rooms were clean, beds comfortable. But quite expensive for the quality.

If you're considering this hotel it is because it is the cheapest hotel in the area. It is also clean. Anything else is frankly a bonus. The room was small, there was no bar, and the halls are very dated, but if you need somewhere clean and safe to stay for a night in London very close to Kings Cross this is perfect. The breakfast was free and decent, not cooked but croassants and breakfast meats available. Our TV didn't work and if it did I would be amazed if it had more than 5 channels, our window wouldn't stay open unless wedged, however there were complimentary toiletries, biscuits, tea, coffee and hair dryer all in the room. You get what you pay for, and for the price paid I certainly wasn't disappointed.

Budget Hotel 10 minutes walking distance from Kong's Cross station good value for money and very comfortable. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Terrible old hotel, the friendly staff at the reception makes a little good. Carpet on the floor that smells very small room, small corridor, small dining room for breakfast ect. Stay away!

Very poor and almost disgusting. Lift didn't work so I carried my bag up two flights. No air conditioning. Window was open and my room filled with flies when I arrived. Very small rooms. And, after purchasing the room well in advance and notifying them I had a very late check in (1:30am) I was rudely awaked at 8am to construction out side my window. Why was I placed on that side of the building? Lousy and can't recommend.

Handy for King's Cross railway station and tube station so travelling to the sites of London is easy. The rooms are furnished with tea and coffee making facilities. Biscuits were a bonus and replenished every day. Breakfast was continental but more than plenty of variety. Staff very helpful and friendly and service was quick. Check in was quick and easy.

I had to give this place one star! stayed in a week on business. Tiny tiny room, filthy, never going back at all, was changed to another room on the last night, however had to buy earplugs and sleeping tablets as the window was propped open with a spoon! do not stay here! pay an extra £5 per night and get somewhere clean and not stinking of smoke.

Very deceiving photos on the website, the only thing which looked the same was the picture on the outside, rooms are tiny and no where near as big as they look on their website, coridoors are really narrow, plus as a note of caution if you do plan on staying, don't get them to order you a taxi, we did this, the receptionist called his mate who arrived in a non-registered london taxi, drove us to kings cross station, dropped us on the opposite side of the road to the designated taxi parking area and then demanded £10 for driving 0.5 miles, a total scam and rip-off, you have been warned.

The location is quite good, unfortunately the rooms are really small. The staff a few exceptions totally unfriendly. Card payment you want 3, 5% surcharge is added, the courses have a smell. Who's the lucky Gets a room facing the street, so that you can maybe sleep by 12-6 and in some rooms, you can not even air. I was allowed to pay the Wi-Fi to the run get I never. In the area and also in the price range there are a lot better!
