A beautiful classic yacht with very attentive staff.

Very friendly staff, delicious afternoon tea and great atmosphere. I’d like to return for dinner and maybe even stay for a night.

The staff are unbelievably rude and unhelpful. We paid for an expensive meal which was absolutely shocking. I made a complaint 10 days ago through email and again I’ve been ignored. Terrible service.

Absolutely brilliant, couldn’t fault anything.

My granddaughter had her 15th birthday and we had massive rooms, the dinner plates were generous and delicious. One Filipino waiter was exceptional and went the extra mile to lend us his personal phone charger! Star staff! We had a fabulous time took lovely photos. Highly recommend.

Had staff walk into my room while I was getting changed. Made a complaint to reception staff and nothing was said nor done. They tried double charging me for my room. All in all would not recommend nor will I be going back to the sunborn 2-10

Lovely yacht very clean and very spacious cabins in good location
however we we not informed prior to our arrival that there were areas closed off to public like tha bar and terrace due to a private event! which left us with no outside areas to go to, they made a make shift bar in the lounge with limited drinks menu, also to top deck was closed to public too.
In the dining room the service was very slow they explained due to the private event! but the food was lovely.
so the whole thing was not as we had hoped-for.

The room was lovely and really spacious. We unfortunately didn’t experience the bar as nobody came to serve us for 15 mins so we left and went elsewhere.
This is a 5 star ship but not 5 star service in our experience.
Overall a lovely night away tho.

We have just got home from a wonderful two night stay. Check in was fast, the yacht is perfectly clean, we had room service which was wonderful and a breakfast to die for! I am sure we will be back, thank you.

My other half toke me here for a surprise birthday night away and was very happy very clean and beautiful place to stay staff was happy and helpful evening veiw was. Stunning. Small walk to shops. Would defo love to stay here again.

Didn’t see much of the hotel, as I was only there for afternoon tea, in the Lands End restaurant. Food was good, staff were pleasant. No complaints.

I booked a one night stay at this hotel as a surprise for my Son's. The hotel was stunning, the rooms were very clean and spacious and the staff were polite and friendly. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for somewhere different to stay!.

We loved it staff where very nice boat was very warm and bed was so so big shower was wicked very powerful and food was to excellent quality and cocktails where very nices well be coming to stay again.

Having just spent time on the sunborn for my friends 60th birthday it was amazing the staff the rooms the food everything was great I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

We celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary here and couldn't of had a better time. Rooms spacious, staff amazing, pricing good for what could be charged, food amazing, definitely recommend.

Visited the Yacht hotel for dinner to celebrate my grandads birthday. Had a wonderful time. Convenient disabled parking right outside. Very attentive staff and delicious food. We were waited on by Marvin and Limen who were both wonderful, they were friendly, polite and very professional. I’d definitely recommend a visit.

Only came for lunch. Very helpful polite staff. Lovely place to enjoy food and drink on the river.

Beautiful hotel but with a really poor costumer service. The gentleman on reception didn't gives us any information about the services at the hotel (we had breakfast included) we needed to ask him about times, Wi-Fi, what could we do at night etc. In the bar of the hotel, no one cares about you, you will wait more than 30 Mon for someone come to take your order. We had the luck to be served by this person (Andrew) which was really kind and tried his best to please us at the end. What I found more hilarious was the fact they ran out of stock of straws?!? How can you serve cocktail full off ice without a straw? Not to mention ash trays that they also didn't have. The room was amazing, beautiful and clean, but the noise of the mini bar was unbearable! Every 5 Min you would hear the fridge howling, you think you can turn it off — No! You can't. It's stuck on wall. Resting was something we couldn't do as well. Overall the only positive thing I can highlight in this stay was the breakfast. So if you expect having an relaxing time and a good over the top experience please think twice, you may be dissatisfied.

The room I will give a 5 star rating, it was very nice, big and everything that we needed. The problem is the service, I ordered bacon on a bun and it took almost 30 minutes to come. There was only 6 other people in the whole restaurant. There was two gentlemen beside us and all they ordered was coffee and one of them didn’t even get their coffee. Horrible service and over priced. Would not recommend this place at all.

The rooms are pretty spacious and well preserved. The yard is super close to ExCel, which is convenient. The check-in was flawless. Because it is a ship, there are some drawbacks: 1) you can only ever by elevator, which takes unnecessary time away off your clock. 2) The bathroom doors close pretty noisy, as the closing mechanism seems to be made for rough tides. 3) in the first two floors windows can not be opened But overall it's a pleasant hotel.

It was a pleasant stay but I must add that we had to keep resetting our key cards and the air con wasn't really blowing hard so it was extremely hot, the restaurant turned us away despite having numerous empty tables and directed us to the bar, as being guests of the hotel I was offended. But overall it was beautiful and I had an amazing birthday and view from my balcony and a good night's sleep, the beds were so comfy.

Great little hotel, great views great location. It would have had 5 stars had I been able to get my tandem stroller through the bedroom door easily without fighting with it even though I’d paid for a family room. Would still stay again, minus the tandem stroller.

Firstly, the positives. Nice location, great views and good accommodation, but as we were on a 50th birthday party we were looking for the full experience which included food and drink That’s where the problems started, firstly it’s not cheap, drinks took a while to come which was bearable and you know you are going to have to pay a bit more for the experience The dinner was however a whole new experience for us, to give you some idea we sat down to eat at 8 and didn’t finish till 12! It took two hours for a bread roll to be served… it was the nicest bread roll I’ve ever eaten, so much so I had another two thou we had to get more butter, I must admit at that point I was ready to eat my own fingers I was so hungry We decided to order a Dominos two hours in with still no starter (only located a mile and a half away) just to see if there was some sort of food shortage, I felt this wasn’t the first time dominos had been called to this ship, it beat my starter by 10 minutes and we stashed it in one of the cabins till later, and boy did we need it later! My starter was Ham Hoc…. It should have really been called Ad Hoc!
It looked like a quarter of a tin of spam without the taste. It fact it tasted of nothing! There were two raw small florets of cauliflower (2cm Square) dribbled with piccalilli. I was starving and I still couldn’t eat it. And I’m known as “The Bin” in our house The main course was ok.

Fabulous food in restaurant on first visit, my waitress was great and so was the second waiter who helped with my gluten and dairy dietary needs. I wanted to ensure the ingredients were safe and he he went back to the kitchen to ask for me very graciously. Relaxed environment, aesthetic setting and feeling… very tranquil. Therapy rooms, had a facial and back rub. Best treatment and service I've had all year. Just finished and I feel so chilled, I am speechless for once. My therapist had a wonderful touch, so relaxing, therapeutic and healing. Wonderful. Receptionist was also sooooo helpful and caring. Great great great service on my first visit.

The room was lovely but the service was very poor. You have to book dinner and lunch in advance and cannot just walk in for lunch so we were unable to eat on the boat. The service in the bar was slow although the drinks weren't too expensive. The breakfast was cold, the bacon was rubbery and the sausages were small and didn't taste good. Although the room was lovely, if you had a river view you were unable to open the window. It was, however the most comfortable bed I have ever been in, but it's a lot of money just for the bed.

Fell in love last year when I walked past. Did not disappoint. Beautiful lobby. Lovely staff. Our room was super king. Balcony perfect. Late night drinks yummy. Buffet breakfast tasty — only note: table placings too close to food counter area. Late check out worth it. Definately coming back.

An absolute treat. Interior had a beautiful decor. Ample room both inside and out. Staff were extremely helpful, friendly and polite. We had an amazing stay.

The actual yacht hotel is fab, their restaurant food quality is excellent, the rooms are excellent, the service I got was not really as I expected, while I was checking in another guest just butted in and the receptionist just left me standing there while she attended the other guest. When I sat down for breakfast the coffee was served without milk, and I had to go and get my own, as did a fellow guest. There were actually lots of waiters working but getting anyone's attention was a bit difficult, and finally I don't mind tattoos but in a service business they need to be discreet, one waiter had a huge one on his neck which looked awful for a role such a breakfast waiter. Finally, I think their staff need to speak better English. Checkout experience very good.

Widely avoided from fear of pricing the Sunborn serves as one of those hidden secrets. This stylish hotel includes a dinning area with amazing vistas of the river and grounds of the Excel center. Pricing is no higher than most London establishments (much better value for money than business inside the center) but welcomes one and all. This place is luxury at an everyman's price. So please don't tell anyone, it can be our little secret right?

Awesome hotel — ask the bar keeper for a Russian spring punch, which is not on the menu. It's outstanding!

Nice location and we had a great cabin. The main issue was there was a pyramid selling event going on at the hotel which spoilt it for all the other guests. It involved a party blaring out loud music all night so the dinner ambience was ruined. No-one was told beforehand which exacerbated the problem. The venue needs to learn how to communicate effectively with all of its guests. Drinks on the outside deck before the party started were lovely though.

Good beds, nicely sized rooms and bathrooms. AC cannot be switched off; because windows cannot be opened (in all rooms without balcony), which leads to uncomfortable climates and never fresh air. Also, there is a constant electrical humming in the walls, and although nearly no sounds from the outside get in, it is never silent inside. Breakfast is all right, though overprized.

Have stayed here on a few occasions and usually we have a great stay. The boat and rooms and beds are perfect as always. However, the first night we stayed this time there were lots of noisy children running around the corridors after 11.30pm. The second night we wanted to get a drink in the bar and were told that they were all shut… that was at 11.20pm and as all the event advertising materials were being tidied away. Just a little few niggles but enough not to return. Sorry Sunborn x.

Just returned from a surprise 2 night stay for my 40th birthday. Real WOW factor as you approach the boat from the outside, with a stunning reception. Rooms were very spacious with the most amazing beds. The views from the terrace are amazing. We chose not to book breakfast as the costs were excessive (with not great reviews) and ate out both locally and in central London instead. There are lots of great options close to the hotel. The tapas bar was delicious and great value for money. This place has been on my bucket list for some time and it really did not disappoint. For a special occasion or an indulgent treat, this place is just perfect x.

Lovely four star yacht with luxurious rooms. We booked a executive room which was spacious and a great view. Breakfast was first class and customer service was excellent. Highly recommended!

Beautiful decor, quite blingy. Rooms are great, very quiet, lovely private balcony. Specious, clean and very nice. Didn't eat here in 3 days as there was so much local choice and it seemed a little expensive. Such a lovely and quiet area of London.

The hotel is lovely. Rooms are a good size and the bed is very comfortable. We had a dock side room and the only negative we found was rubbish collecting in the water between the dockside and the boat. They really should clean this up as it ruins the feel of the view. The restaurant food was amazing too and breakfast was a great buffet.

Really good hotel. Spacious Room. Nice View. For the cost of the room you would expect a bit more personalisation. I stayed over for one night in December 2016. The food menu was a bit limited due to Christmas time. Food in my memory was good but again, you expect top level for the price you pay and it was missing the little extra that justify the 5*.

Now THIS is what a hotel should be like. The rooms are fabulous and comfortable with plenty of room. The bar has a friendly atmosphere and a fantastic view over the water towards the O2 arena.

My husband booked this a surprise for our anniversary. I was really happy. Makes a change from a normal hotel, slightly different and unique. However, the breakfast was 20 mins late in being delivered to our room and really wasn't worth the £19.50 charged. It was pretty horrid actually; so much so that we complained and got a full refund. The lady who dealt with us was very apologetic and handled our complaint efficiently and professionally. I would certainly visit again though as I really liked the fact that it was a massive yacht/ship.

Great hotel and the rooms are value for money. I would however suggest eating elsewhere if it's not part of your package as the restaurant is expensive and fish heavy.

Well, I was looking for something special for New Year's Eve however, I was a bit disappointed that I couldn't find any nice places in London because most of the beautiful places were fully booked. The suborn came up in Google search so I decided to look for the rooms. I loved the way hotel was looking and it was something unique. It was exactly what I was looking for because I wanted to do a proposal for my girlfriend. Luckily they had some rooms so I just booked it straight away. When we arrived on 31/12/2017. The place looked fantastic and high class so I was extremely impressed. The staff were amazing and extremely helpful. Room was amazing and clean! My girlfriend enjoyed it so much and it was the right place for a proposal! Well done Sunborn!

The yacht itself is beautiful both inside and out. We had afternoon tea in the restaurant and then watched a movie. The staff were really friendly and helpful, as if nothing was too much trouble. The food and drinks were also gorgeous and I have to say the chicken and tarragon sandwich was the best I've ever eaten. The only downside was the location was a but difficult to get to but it can't be helped as it needs to be on water! Total 5 star experience!

A great place to come for a ‘different’ hotel experience. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast the next morning was great. Certainly worth a visit.

The hotel is stunning. Beautiful setting. The breakfast was excellent and restaurant has clear views of O2/Canary Wharf. The rooms are big and have wide TV, coffee machine, hair dryer, Molton Brown products, extra blanket, fridge and safe. The shower was the best I have ever used. Stayed the perfect temp and pressure the whole time. The City airport is very close by, but did not hear the noise from planes at all. Will be back!

We have just stayed here as a birthday present booked for my husband. I love the concept of this hotel and from the outside it definitely has the wow factor. Positives: The communal areas and dining areas are in keeping with what you would expect from this hotel. The rooms are spacious. The staff were very friendly on check in which was quick and easy. Negatives: Although spacious the rooms are out dated and the river view room could do with a window clean. I ordered room service for lunch which came very quickly but it was tasteless and was also Luke warm I had the pasta from the very short menu available for in room dining menu. Overall a good hotel for a novelty one night stay.

Been to lands end resturant three times now, I've loved it every time! The afternoon tea is fantastic and so fancy, it always makes my friends and family feel like royalty! Beautiful location and fantastic prices especially for the area. Highly recommend if you're trying to impress friends!

We booked in just for a night but it's been so relaxing, and excellent service the room and the bathroom is clean the bed is so comfortable, Paul and I had a wonderful stay. The amazing bit is that sunborn yacht hotel did upgrade our room from classic to executive room. So ended up sleeping in the bed fit for a king and a queen. We are already talking when to go back. Food was lovely, couldn't fault it. Staff were very nice as well… no complaints there. Views from the yacht are amazing if your not a local & not seen them before. Great location.

My wife and I went for afternoon Tea at the Sunborn Yacht Hotel. It was a pleasant experience as we were seated at the top floor and for most of the time had the place to ourselves, with the full attention of the waiting staff, who were lovely. The afternoon tea came with free refills of drinks and sandwiches. The food was of a good standard. It would have been better to have free refills of the scones and sweets, but to be honest my wife and I were both very full from what we had. It started to rain and storm quite heavily while we were both there, but we felt very safe and comfortable on the yacht. All together an enjoyable experience which I would do again and would recommend.

Went there for a massage and afternoon (champagne) tea. I must say, it was excellent Service was good, food was good and the massage was good. Highly recommended. And not only that but it is in a lovely location with the Excel right next door. Went home on the the Emirates cable car. That was good as well.

Turned out better then my expectation. Felt quite luxurious. Clean, comfortable and Cushy. I would come back again if need to stay in the area.

Lovely room with view of river. Had a lot of difficulty understanding the receptionist, foreign and spoke to fast, sounded like she was reading a script rather than making us feel welcome. Would have liked a welcome book in the room telling us of what amenities were on board and in surrounding area. Housekeeping were fabulous, super friendly and did a thorough clean each day. Not sure why we have to be charged a £40 deposit per day as I'm sure we weren't planning on breaking anything. Lovely novelty hotel. Would stay again.

Really beautiful surroundings and hotel interior with excellent eye for detail. The staff could have been a little more welcoming but did their job to satisfaction. Smiles go miles. I had issues with the restaurant due to faulty/dodgy card payment facilities which was very well managed by the duty manager to my satisfaction. However, we were celebration my wife's 60th and it unfortunately ruined the evening. The duty manager did everything in his power to make this episode as comfortable as humanly possible but the situation left us in distress. Thus, reflecting the 3 star rating. I would give them a second chance, as the stay was divine in lavish comfort. Thank you Hugo for bending backwards to try to rectify the horrible situation. Hope you get to the bottom of the problem.

Partner surprised me with 1 night aboard this lovely hotel! Check in smooth, staff seems friendly. We ordered drinks from the tablet in or room but no show 30 min later; chased and we not charged with an apology. Room itself was great, nice riverside view. Afternoon tea served promptly, tasty treats. Extra sandwiches on offer. Breakfast was well catered; hot and cold food and healthy options included.

Lovely mini cruise, but only one port of call! Room very luxurious, far larger than you would ever expect on a real boat. Big very comfortable bed. Lovely bathroom. Lagoon view from the porthole. Also enjoyed the Lands End restaurant, great food and service, and lovely views.

Friends of mine stayed at this yacht with a groupon they loved it. I joined them for drinks and I have say a wonderful place with a great view. Top quality. Staff were very friendly.

My stay at the hotel was great the staff couldn't do enough to help. The prices are a little steep but to be expected. My only issue was that I was nearly charged for drinks and breakfast on checking out which we hadn't had! but this was soon sorted after I explained we had paid for our drinks on the night and we hadn't had breakfast. I would go back again without doubt.

Wedding was amazing! Great London a skyline as a backdrop. Very disappointed that the bar were putting service charge on every order without asking. Check your bill! The service was all in London strange anyway, one man taking the money, then take your receipt to the bar to get your drinks. Poor selection of drinks and some of them were different to what was in the menu. Quite unbelievable they find it acceptable to put service change on every bill with no notice to customers, even at a private function!

The restaurant setting was nice with an amazing view of the o2, canary wharf and the dock (especially when the sun is setting). The food was OK with nothing that screamed to me as amazing or even great. The service was good with the staff being very friendly and helpful.

If I could give it 6 stars I would. What a lovely place to stay. The meals were fantastic, the rooms were great, my daughter wants to live on the yacht now! The location is bang next to the tube (custom house tube stop) which has several restaurants and a popular coffee shop. The O2 (if its still called that) is near by and the excel centre is next to the yacht. The cable cars are a short walk away too. Get an oyster card if you intend to use public transport. Highly recommended by me and my family.

Not as nice as the sunborn in Gibraltar but rooms are excellent all the same. Easy transport to the O2 but the bar is pricey!

It was a surprise treat. Really great. Our room was on the 5 floor, very comfortable room and very spacious. Bed was very comfortable. Yacht decorations and it makes you think it is on vacation. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Very nice, quiet environment. Ideally, if you want to take the subway to 02, this is an ideal place. Will definitely come again.

I was given a Groupon vovcher for a spa package and afternoon tea x2 so my daughter and I went, the staff were very friendly and helpful, the spa was very clean and the girls were excellent at their job, the afternoon tea with a smashing view was great. A lovely day out, thank you all at Sunborn yacht.

The room was ok, my only complaint is that only water was complimentary, you had to pay for the coffee, I've never seen that in a hotel before. We had a room with a water view which was nice. The room was clean and spacious. The breakfast was excellent, one of the best hotel breakfasts I've had.

Well I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights to relax and do something different. The hotel itself is very nice, the rooms are clean and decent and the general appearance of everything looks spot on. Food is also great, very nicely presented and tastes lovely. There were a few things that hurt the experience. We asked to sit by the window when we reserved the restaurant for the evening an were told its first come first serve, surely enough we arrived on time and the seats were empty but we were told they were 'reserved' funny enough. This happened on both dinner occasions. After the first dinner we relaxed in the bar area and I noticed a sticky toffee pudding in the menu which looked good so I ordered it only to be told they didn't have any which was fair enough so we asked if it was possible to reserve one for the following dinner an was told the would contact us in our room. They didn't contact us. When we turned up for dinner we were told they didn't do it anymore and they tried to contact us. Lastly when noticed a 'Sunday brunch menu' on the list of food the was offered on Sunday's, this looked quite good so we booked it, when we turned up we was given the normal evening menu and was told the brunch menu didn't exist anymore even though it's clearly advertised in our room. Overall the experience was not good enough in my opinion due to those small things that all seemed to add up. However those aside, the location atmosphere and rooms are all really good.

I stayed at the Sunborn for 2 nights whilst attending an event at the Excel. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful and if you happen upon the cleaning staff around the place you'll always get a smile and a friendly hello. The room itself was very nice indeed, everything worked and there were no issues. On the first morning the lights in the bathroom appeared to blow a fuse, I let reception know on the way out and by the time I returned at lunchtime they were fixed! I didn't eat aboard the Sunborn, I ordered in (only because I fancied pizza in my room), but I did go to the bar for a drink. As expected it was over priced but the bar staff let the hotel down somewhat with their attitude. I did object slightly to paying a service charge as my drinks were literally dumped on the table in front of me. Aside from this small point, the hotel was excellent — I would definitely stay again and recommend the Sunborn to anyone who asked. Many thanks for having me!

Living locally I went for a drink in the boats bar to see what the ship was like inside, but wasnt hugely impressed. The decor and music in the bar seemed a bit dated, and the service was poor, it took about 20 mins after we ordered to get our drinks as they seemed to forget about them. Also, its table service so expect service charge. I'm sure the rooms are amazing and on a nice day a drink on the decks would be amazing, but I must admit I hoped for more from what is a stunning looking boat from the outside.

Fantastic. Lovely room. Friendly and helpful staff. Went on 30 Dec. Decor for Christmas was exquisite. Would recommend and would definitely stay again. Christmas card from the owner. A nice touch.

The Hotel The hotel was really nice and clean. The design was really nice and you get free fast Wi-Fi for your entire stay. The Food The breakfast was disgusting and cold, the food is overpriced and it cost nearly £10 for just 2 drinks. Overall The hotel is really nice and I would recommend going but if your having food, go somewhere else.

I went to Sunborn yatch hotel at excel last week, it was lovely. Staffs were friendly and the room was lovely. Room were really well furnished, wonderful and different from your normal London Hotel. I would definitely recommend it to anyone. Was booked as a surprise.
