The night guy was very nice to us aa noted by another guest. My elderly parents and I had nowhere to go after our other hotel reservation was cancelled. He had one room and was gracious to allow us to store our luggage. Though very low budget, we had a comfortable bed to sleep in. The hotel is in a good location. I am very appreciative of him working with us.

Alternative hotel with correct services. However very small double room, a nice bed for less than 1.90m, above your feet are outside.

Home worthy of a cemetery followed by a small room and filled with microchip. Beds not once done during the week and let's not talk about the overall menage.
Breakfast — that limit. Do really recommend ps.

If I could give it a two and a half I would, because a two is too low, and a three would mean it was mediocre but adequate. It was probably the worst hotel I’ve stayed in, but not as bad as the other reviews would indicate. The receptionist was gruff but fair. 1) The rooms: Ours had no carpet, and the kind of cot one would find at a summer camp or a dorm. I was actually relieved to avoid the carpet issue, from what I read in the other reviews from people who had carpets. The wood floor had noticeable gaps. Not a big deal, but it made one wonder what else they might have half-assed, like the wiring? No air conditioning, like most places on London, but also no fan. We had to buy one, which we left in the room on departure. You’re welcome. The bed seemed clean, with no insect life, but the bedspread seemed old, with a not very pleasing design. We took it off and stashed it away, hardly needing it during the hottest weather in decades. The bathroom seemed clean, and maybe even recently rennovated, but the water pressure was only a bit above non existent, and the sink faucet leaked. Amenities included a small fridge and a hot pot. The television worked, as did the remote (10 pound deposit). The Wi-Fi is not free, but seemed adequate for ordinary internet activities. The breakfast: get there early, because they run out of things, and they will rush you even before official closing time.

Cheap Hotel in a very great place in central London! Not very big rooms (tiny to be fair) but not that small. Perfect for young tourists who need a place to sleep and leave their stuff while enjoing London! Nothing fancy and special just what you get for the price! Still a good experience! It was perfect for me! Just a couple of hours to sleep and take a shower! Than back to the city!

Good location. Other than that I would avoid this hotel. The rooms are tiny, and not very clean. In our room, the TV didn’t work, not all the lights did either, there was a half smoked old cigarette on the top on the cupboard in the bathroom (took us two days to figure out why it stank! ). The breakfast is very basic-toast, pre sliced cheese, hard boiled eggs and cornflakes. The kettle in our room boiled over everywhere when I only put enough in for one cup. A lot of stairs and no lift (so it wouldn’t be suitable for anyone who would struggle with several flights of stairs). The staff weren’t very friendly, and tended to look away from you. Oh-one other good point, you can leave your bags there on check out day for a fiver a room. Won’t be staying here again…

Room was small, bed wasnt too bad from what I remember, the bathroom was small and so was the shower. Good location about 8 minute walk from the tube station with a small co-op on the high street near by.

Worst hotel EVER. Filthy, highest room in the place and the stairs are shabby. The showerknob and faucet were leaking, the water temp is a challenge to control, the blanket was absolutely disgusting (stained and ripped), the staff is rude … it said we had free Wi-Fi, but then we had to pay 10£ to get a crappy signal in our room. They offered to keep our bags for the day. In the lobby… unsupervised… for 5£. It was HELL. Breakfast was a joke, we were told to eat our (hardboiled) egg up in our room because only 10 minutes of breakfast were left. Only jam and toast, no fruits. Good location, but do pay a bit more to be in a better hotel in the area. It was so dirty I was afraid to walk barefoot. do not book.

The dirt has escaped for too much mold.

We were on the 3rd floor without a lift. Concerning the room: bathroom clean, however the carpet was poorly maintained and the bed squeaked at the slightest flutter of eyelash.

Room is compact. No lift. Nobody to help with the luggage espcially going down to the basment or going up. Not bad for the price of the room.

The location of the hotel is great, but everything aside from that is not. Room is very small and in need of renovations, there are holes in the wall, carpet is destroyed, sink constantly clogged and toilet is leaking. The rest of the hotel also looks like it’s falling apart. The Wi-Fi is to be paid for its 10 pounds PER EACH DEVICE you want to use it on and the remote for the TV is 20 pounds. Staff is rude and does not care at all, we paid for the Wi-Fi and on our second day there is went down and was not fixed for the remaining 4 days and no refund or alternative was offered or given, simply a “we have people working on it” excuse. Also be sure to not stay on the last floor, there are no elevators and the stairs are small and failing apart so moving luggage up and down is practically impossible.

Smaller rooms than expected, good housekeeping and a leaky toilet. Overall just an okay stay with the feeling that me being there was trouble for anyone working at the desk. Paid for Wi-Fi, when it didn't work heard three separate times it'll work tomorrow and it never did. Never recieved a 10 pound refund either. Okay stay, certainly works and nice location but mej.

Bed bugs and insects. Do not book this hotel. There are stains on bedding and carpets my husband had bites all over. Centrally located.

Me and my girlfriend were over Easter at the St. Joseph Hotel in London and I must say the room was a disaster. Dirty Carpet, the windows have probably seen the last time a rag 2 years ago. No real duvets but only 2 bedspreads where I can't imagine this being washed every time after they were used. The so-called double bed was just a large recliner with 2 mattresses on it and uncomfortable as hell. The whole furniture totally obsolete. The toilet was halfway ok up to the shower head, this was so calcification that I only saw it at 2 times that it is a shower head at all. The only positive is the very central location, about 5 min to the subway Earls Court. From there you only need 20 minutes to the city. You also have good shopping opportunities Tesco or Saintbury ´ S. Breakfast can be enjoyed in the area also quite good. Since we were traveling all day and really just slept at the hotel, it just went on. However, the price of 230 pounds for 3 nights was in no case justified. Once and never returned to this hotel.

Very old, poorly maintained, disappointing breakfast, well located hotel close to the Metro.

Very budget Hotel. With breakfast and very central. Every day you get the complimentary coffee in the room and the Jaboncitos. But… No elevator, very steep and narrow staircases, at breakfast there are only hot drinks, juices and toasts. The bathrooms are small and everything is old. If you're not very exquisite, it's fine.

Very basic hotel. Beds were folding metal beds; there was a large stain on the carpet, and a what seemed to be a bloodstain on the curtain; the bathroom was clean but the shower was very temperamental; and the breakfast offering consisted of cornflakes, bread, pre-sliced cheese, boiled eggs and nothing else. That said the staff were pleasant and it was reasonably cheap by London standards given its proximity to Kensington Olympia. If you need a one or two night stay, it'll do, but don't expect miracles.

A good hotel to spend a few days.

A great hotel located in Kensington chelsea area, very good prices for its location 10 minutes from everywhere with the tube, great and friendly staff.

Horrible the place, nothing to do with the photos, the hyper Chiquita room and very bad looking. Those who are to cater to the guests do not feel like doing it, every day you are treated badly, very dirty, the towels ready to use have hairs of other people, do not change the sheets, just stretch them, charge you to use the Wi-Fi when it says in the description of the Page says it's included, they ask you for 20 pounds of sign to use the remote control of a TV. Really a horror this hotel does not go!

Horrible. Never go! Everything is dirty, poorly maintained, not welcoming staff! Attractive price but that's it. Not even worth a star.

Good location Reasonable price but dirty room (carpet… No name to evoke reluctance. No water at the shower (limestone) stinky blankets… ECT) I would not return to it.

Cheap hotel in the centre of London. Really well located, about 5 minutes walk from Earl's Court tube. Facilities are a little bare bones but for such a low price it's hard to complain. Rooms are rather dirty and not particularly well fitted, and breakfast in the morning was thin, to put it mildly (but also free). However staff were friendly and accommodating. In short, if you want a good location for a decent price, without many frills, this should fit the bill nicely.

Disgusting room. Had a room on the top floor and had 3 heavy bags and the stairs were tiny. Each door was propped open by a Henry hoover. The TV has no remote control so we were unable to use it. They wanted £10 for the Wi-Fi for the night. The bathroom was filthy, the toilet didn’t flush and the shower head was so covered in limescale I would be surprised if you could even get water out of it. Under the ‘desk’ in the room their was a long brown stain with no attempt to clean it. The mattress were stained, the carpet I wouldn’t even let my dog piss on it was that dirty. For some reason we had a large brown chair thing in our room and it was stained and smelt and had multiple holes in it. The whole room smelt musty and unclean. Right by the front door was a massive rip in the wallpaper and the service was really poor. The male behind the desk made us wait so he could discuss his wife who we were all made aware that was at home with the lady down the phone for 10 minutes. All this added up I decided to leave 9 at night and just get the 3 hour train home. I would have rather that than stay there another second. I wouldn’t recommend staying here to anyone!

Enough especially for the location, but it has so many flaws…

Safe. Awful room. Stairs and no lift. Had been stranded in Heathrow and this was what was awarded to us! But oh dear just a sighable experience. Dude behind the desk in the morning was an AH. Night duty guy was helpful when we rolled in at 2am, stuck and shattered tired. Thank God for the room though. We had somewhere to kip. Literally.

Habitació Small but enough. A little noisy. Near the mouth of the train with direct line to Picadilly. Overall OK to be a 3 star in London but the biggest problem has been the shower that came out almost water.

No value for the money, no idea how they recieved 3 stars, or is has to be done by spanish…

Unfortunate. Room without wardrobe. The clothes on the floor. Dirty for a long time without cleansing. Walls and carpets chipped and dirty.

Despite some negative comments very "Chichi Pompom" hotel very decent, inexpensive for a very lively neighborhood, very close metro station.

I stayed there for three nights.

Probably the worst place I have ever paid to stay in my life. Wasn’t expecting too much as it was a relatively cheap stay because we got a discounted rate. The room was not cleaned, the walls were spattered with some red substance, there was mould all over the walls, the bed was two fold out camping beds pushed together and the room smelled musty and smoky. I think this place is due an inspection. We paid for two nights but could only make it through one because we both woke up feeling congested and sick. I went to speak with reception to let them know we were thinking about leaving and were wondering if we could have the money back for the unused night only. The guy started yelling at me telling me I waited too long to speak to him. On top of all of this they charge for Wi-Fi at a price of £5 per half hour! Overall the place is mouldy, dirty, the staff are very unfriendly and I’d have to think twice about staying there for free let alone paying to stay. You can tell that no effort is put in to make their guests stays enjoyable. Shame because the hotel is actually in a great location in London!

Please do not book this hotel! It's disgusting! My son and I checked in on 23.10.17 and we were given the keys to room 107. This was supposed to be a double room which was not! The room was disgusting, old smelly carpet, stains on the wall, furniture so old, the shower room was damp as the celling was covered in mould and damp. This was also over the shower curtains. The bed mattress was covered in stain and the quilt covered smelled, it was not washed. I went to reception to give some feed back and the receptionist man responds was for me to take my money and leave. I told him that we wanted the room to be changed. Which he refused. We stayed there has it was too late for me to go and look for another hotel. When checking out of the hotel I informed the other male receptionist the come and look at the state of the room. He was not interested and said he was busy. Please do not book this hotel for your health and safety… stay away from this hotel. I also informed the hotel will never stay here again. Ruined our holiday as we could not sleep.

Very bad, did not clean the room did not make the bed.

The rooms and the building were very hairdryer, the room was very clean and the staff were very helpful and the rooms were very comfortable.

Cleanliness is a rarity.

Very basic room, good location, clean and decent breakfast. For the money it was good. For the budget traveller.

The place is in a nice area, but the hotel, in a nutshell it sucks (no elevator, no air conditioning, no TV remote, no luggage storage, carpet in the thick and old room, the bathroom doors cannot be locked, no bidet, the sink is Microscopic, beds are uncomfortable with broken springs) Ps: If you ever come to this hotel, don't arrive before 2pm. 00 because so much they don't check you in.

Hotel, if so you can call, it shows up to the limits of sufficiency, paid very little, and is the only consolation. At least our room was clean and didn't smell. Taking a shower or washing with a splash is the same. It's not even in such a convenient place for downtown. I don't recommend it!

We booked a room for 5 days … A receiver on two very unpleasant and aggressive towards customers. The breakfast is really very poorly presented, the crumb bread in a plastic bag instead in a basket of bread, no big thing, only butter, honey and jam, cheese, no deli. Our room was in the basement … Very difficult to access with a large suitcase, no elevator. Dirty wall, carpet to change, very damaged, very dirty mugs etc, curtain not fix. Everything to pay, Wifi £2 per hour, luggage for €5. On the other hand,
Nice and quiet area, very decent hotel front view, very well place by Metro access, many shops around.

I have unfortunately come to accept that lower-cost London hotels come with substantial faults, but this one takes the cake. The sink remained clogged for my entire week-long stay, despite repeated requests to get this fixed. Thus it was impossible to properly brush my teeth, face or hands. The shower was hopelessly low on pressure and the room left just over a foot of space around the double bed. I prefer not to dwell on what the stains on the carpet might be. Worst of all, the bed covers were too small, which meant that my girlfriend and I slept an inch or two away from the grimy, sagging mattress.

Hotel is in GREAT LOCATION, however, the triple room was incredibly small, we had to put our suitcases in front of the door or on the beds. The bathroom door didnt shut, but this was fixed quickly. Breakfast was normal for an included breaky in London. There is also no elevator and most steps are squeeky.

Hotel was good for our stay. Rooms were clean and bathroom was modern. Bed covers slightly outdated. But can't complain for the price we paid.

Location is perfect. Room was as expected really. Clean enough but the bedspread looked as if it had had a clean it a while. Thankfully it was warm enough for just a sheet. TV worked without a remote. Found chewing gum stuck on the wall and a few hairs in places in the bathroom. But for 35 quid I wasn't expecting much more. Didn't really try the breakfast a we were in abit of a rush but looked an alright spread.

Stayed here for one night. When we arrived we were given a key and on arrival found 3 pigeons in our room. The receptionist gave us another room however it was considerably smaller and smelt awful. We were offered a free continental breakfast which only consisted of boiled eggs, toast and jam. Awful customer service — receptionist didn't apologise for pigeon incident. Shower door was broken and hairs on the towels. only good thing is the location — 5 min walk from earls court station.

Bed ceiling, floor and walls very dirty. Very small room. For me max 2 * hotel.

The positives: nice hotel on the front, good location with metro 5 minutes walk from Earl's Court station.
The negatives: not at all friendly.
no remote control for TV. Bad bedding. The pictures on the website are not really representative of reality.
Breakfast is served from 7:30 to 9:30. Don't you dare to arrive at 0925 the door is closed and all is free. To the menu bread (presented in its plastic packaging) cornflakes, eggs, cheese slices (a little dry) coffee and orange juice. The staff room is unpleasant to the highest point.
Considering the price of the room we're entitled to expect something else.

Breakfast service, availability of sufficient staffing, minimal room but smelled musty and closed, which is not resolved by keeping your Windows open for 4 nights of residence.

So I booked to stay at this hotel on the 5th December 2015, I received an email from the hotel on the 1st December stating my card details had been declined and my reservation hadn't been secured and to call the hotel on the next 24 hours, I called them at 8 am that morning to which a rather rude man said he couldn't fond my details or reservation number. With this and the email received to say my booking was not secure I booked an alternate hotel, only to find out when my card got declined when paying for a drink in London that St joseph hotel had still taken the money from my bank! I called and spoke to walid 3 times before getting to speak the thier disgustingly rude manager for him to tell me he isn't giving me my money back even though they did not have my reservation on Tuesday. This place is a joke and in my eyes they are thief's who stole money out of my bank and it's now going to be a long winded situation to try get it back so close to Christmas and literally no money as they have taken it! Avoid avoid avoid!

I will give you a very comprehensive list: 1. The guy at the reception was RUDE and the most DISRESPECTFUL person you will ever meet when it comes to customer service. Our friend made a booking on our behalf and we were given a lecture about how we should have done it ourselves with our own details, telling us that we can cause him trouble if we decide to be dishonest. Why is he treating his customers like criminals? 2. The room we were given was on the ground floor. The windows were locked and there was NO AIR CIRCULATION. We gave it a chance, but within 10 minutes we were feeling faint and had headaches. The room was POORLY EQUIPPED with not even a simple water boiler. They have also FALSELY ADVERTISED their free Wi-Fi. 3. We decided to ask for a refund, because there is NO WAY we can survive 1 night without air. Upon asking, he complained about how our last minute decision would make the room difficult to sell. That room is in no way suitable to stay in for anyone. How anyone hasn't died in it yet is a miracle. Or maybe someone already had. The place needs to be reevaluated by a health and safety officer. To top everything off, he OVERCHARGED US BY DOUBLE the cancellation fee.

Extremely poor customer service and noisy.

A sovereign m. You can only emphasize that it is terrible, there is so much smell and it is disgusting. It is like sleeping in a tent habiendote forgotten the tent at home. There is no reason that you could recommend a trash as well.

The breakfast is very poor, although it's advertised as continental. Really small rooms, tiny corridors, very small stairs, hard to carry the luggage. No elevator, Wi-Fi is paid, hairdryer didn't work, fridge didn't work and bathroom didn't had a box for showering, so the whole thing gets wet when you shower. It was clean at least.

Very accommodating little hotel, great for the price! Room was clean, enough space for everything and had an en suite. But part about hotel was the staff. Allowed us to store luggage before check in and when we came in from a night out at 8am, allowed us another night in the same room at a reduced rate and said not to worry about payment until we'd woken up later on. Would definitely come here again.

The receptionist is a thief, and a miserable one at that.

At the end of the day, as long as you plan on spending most of your day someplace other than this hotel, you will be fine.

We stayed at this hotel, and we got a really poor hospitality, with a quality very bad and a nonexistent service. Rooms not cured with poor housekeeping and breakfast non existent. Sconsiglisbile in all respects.

My partner and I booked this through Kayak for three nights in July2012. We arrived early as I had a medical appointment and needed to leave our luggage. The man at the reception desk was THE MOST RUDE person we have ever encountered. No ''good morning'' or polite conversation as one would expect when checking in /he looked up and shouted ''WHAT? ''. Unfortunately, we did not have time to book somewhere else as I had to rush to my appointment and London was extremely busy coming up to Olympics. The ''bedroom'' was a BOX with filthy disgusting walls. The small double bed barely fitted. Luckily we could open a window or would have suffocated! the floor coverings up the 57steps of stairs were stained and dirty even though the chambermaids did their best to vacuum daily. Several of the balustrades were missing and I dread to think what would happen if a child missed a footing and went head first down several steep steps. The ''Dining room'' downstairs was far too small for the number of guests and again I would fear for anyone trying to make a quick getaway in an emergency situation. The staff (Young foreign National Ladies) seemed anxious and frustrated trying to cope with large numbers in cramped quarters. We were charged MORE than the price quoted online. Management RUDE. This place needs to be checked by a health and safety officer.
