St Christopher's Hammersmith Hostel

Easy my favourite hostel I've ever stayed in. Staff and residents were all very friendly. Such an awesome atmosphere, very clean, and felt safe. Angelica and Hannah were absolute legends and made our trip that much better. Stayed for a week, but will definitely be back! Thank you Hammersmith!

Besides sweating throughout each night due to short leashes on the window, there were bedbugs in at least two dormatories. The staff moved me upon notifying them of bedbugs, but some staff denied that I saw them. There is no kitchen or sufficient refrigerator to store food. They have a free breakfast, but it is very minimal because they try to sell their other breakfasts. The place is overall fairly clean. The Belushi's Bar is fine, but St. Christopher's Inn is not that great. It is a great location. There is free Wi-Fi, but a charge for towel. On the upside, the large dormatories allow for meeting many people. But, on the other hand, it doesn't necessarily mean you will sleep well. It's a party hostel, and definitely not a long stay place. They have a two week max stay policy.

Neat place with even neater staff! Great location right by the tube plus all the staff were super nice and Ben was an absolute gem! Will definitely be staying here on my next trip back to London!

The place is nice and close to Hammersmith Apollo. The beds itself are a bit hard. Also top floor (women) is very hot. And you need to climb all the stairs. Breakfast is not really much, it fills your belly, and that's it.

The hostel is actually 2 minutes from the Metro. Nice welcome 24/24. On the other hand, for the dormitory with 18 beds, there is no fan for all the bed corners and therefore it can be hot for some people. Moreover, the music of the bar/nightclub can hinder because the door remains open because of the heat or even being closed, we hear everything that happens downstairs. But otherwise it was a pretty good experience with comfortable beds, clean toilets and showers and a very nice staff.

It was alright, but not the best. The (shared) bathrooms were tiny and hot and had no fan, my outlet at my bed only charged my phone if I used my EU adapter and turned off the bed light. It wouldn't charge while the light was on. Room was pretty hot too, with 9 people in a small room and just a fan and window cracked open. My locker was broken so I had to use another empty one. Some of the staff were really good, some weren't super friendly. The bar downstairs was nice if you were in the mood for that, but loud if you weren't. Also, the breakfast is only free if you book directly from their website; it's £3 if you book through a 3rd party.

Unimpressive hostel on most fronts. No kitchen, essentially no common area (besides bar), no bike parking, and lack of hostel reception in the evenings. Location is great next to the tube lines anyway, bit overall just a place to lay your head.

Had a hard time looking for the place, the name was not clearly indicated in the entrace. I was not expecting that the reception is inside the restaurant/bar. The only good thing was their beddings was clean and the top floor room was peaceful and quite.

Very nice clean rooms, good price, good beds, not squeaky, perfect bar with drinks and food in GF, very nice Annie at reception, surely tied for 1st place hostel in london.

The best thing about this place is it's perfect location/price combination, especially when you book directly. Fairly noisy as it's facing a busy square. But don't you worry, they provide earplugs at no extra charge. Staff is friendly, you can ask anything they will try their best to help. They are busy though, so you might have to wait a few minutes before they serve you. I had the room with en suite bathroom, so it was convenient and clean. The worst thing about the hostel is it's floorplan, which is confusing and often punishing. Too many doors, unnecessary corridors and unexpected corners.

I booked a stay here due to having a meeting in the morning at an establishment down the road from St Christopher's and wanted somewhere to stay to be within walking distance within a cheap budget. So St Christopher's was my go to for a couple of nights. Upon arrival, I waited a short while to be checked in; paid extra for a padlock so I could store my things safely under my bed and was given all the information needed for my stay. Upon entering the room, I was helped with my bags by a member of staff who helped me unlock the cages and store my things safely. The others who were staying in the room were all friendly, sociable people who also made me feel very welcome. I was staying in the room with the pod beds, so there was a lot more privacy. This is something which you don't usually tend to get from hostels. I saw that the other rooms were a lot less 'luxury' though, so I must have been lucky to have gotten a pod bed in a mixed shared dorm. These had their own curtains so you could sleep without anybody gawping at your slathering, snoring face. Also pretty convenient for late night movie watching without the glow of your laptop screen disturbing other guests. The room was pretty hot and air con was broken, sleeping on a night time was a pretty sweaty experience, but it is somewhat expected from a room you're sharing with a bunch of other people, especially due to it being a very hot week in Britain when I stayed.

It is a mjy good place to be, they cater very well, the place is very clean, I really recommend it, I liked it, greetings from Mexico.

Unbelievably amazing experience! Great location, helpful staff, fun guests, breakfasts included with drinks, discounts on food and drinks.

The hostel is nice, it's got nice showers and rooms, but I personally didn't have good experience because my camera got stolen from my locker, even though I used a padlock, and my bed had the heater right next to it, so it was really hard for me to sleep at night. I would have given a one stsr rating, but the hostel itself and its staff were pretty good.

I've been made to very comfortable since my arrival at the hotel. I was also made to feel welcome from the very start of the week and for the staff thet have all been utterly wonderful. — in fact I would say a real home from home. Many thanks y have allbrrn in so helpful s been charming. I can highly recommend and more continue do so to anyone until my day.

Close to Underground station, and above a bar. So if you like partying, awesome. If you prefer some privacy and quiet, not ideal. Also, the beer smell might get a bit much.

Clean, good value for money, the staff is friendly, funny and welcoming. You can eat good breakfasts in English in the morning. Very positively, the hostel is just a few steps from Hammersmith train station, where several subway lines pass by. Nickel!

THE WORST HOSTEL EXPERIENCE EVER! It’s impossible to sleep from the 1st floor dormitory because the nightclub at the ground floor is open from 9pm to 3am! (Poor music by the way) Finally, I just canceled 1 night and 3 weeks later I’m still waiting my refund.

Excellemt hostel and staff the only problem is the room's cleaning system. They get into the room at least 6 times during the morning as they do separates cleaning duties rather than make them all in once… If you want to rest is a bit difficult. Appart from these everything else it's awesome.

Noisy place, weird people, frugal breakfast, but helpful staff and clean rooms. Transforms into a club in the evening till late in the night. Above average food with 25% discount.

Youth Hostel at low prices. Offers benefits if booked online. Owns a bar. Next to a bus station and subway.
Small bed with curtains, 2 electrical plugs, 2 USB ports and one lamp. Can easily use French plugs.
Mixed dorms.

Clean and simple bed for the night, mixed and same sex accommodation available. Cheap and near local attractions such as the Hammersmith Apollo. Is located above a nightclub and can make sleeping difficult for light sleepers. Located next to the tube station for easy travel to central London.

The location is decent right next to a metro stop but having to go through the noisy bar to get in on the weekends is annoying. The bathrooms are stuffy and don't have a great place to set your things when getting ready. Otherwise the rooms are good enough, just lack any AC.

My location experience;… All right, station front and bus! (Only positive thing)
Price;… €28 too expensive for hostel rooms and bed;… Ok but at night we can not sleep they melt the party JUSCO 2h of morning! In the BAR! The window they not soundproofing features so that you would not sleep bcp too blurred shower toilet: ok but not props, nor small coat door to put his towel or no matter… has rabies!

Free breakfast (of course for free) but nothing has breakfast Description; Disgusting half-baked bread! Carafes with (normally orange juice or no matter) water that remains of small melted ice cube. Cafe in a drink, white sugar, cutlery soup spoons and table knife dirty dishes. A yes a mini machine for the pan Toste… Nothing here, … Disgusting jam and small squares of butter, there are no bcp cups so the personal low this is incompetent gents! A lady asks please, kindly if can fill O month water for this make a coffee! The girl yellow says it in English, yes A TT the time I'm busy! Out that the faucet it is just side of it what! She wasn't busy!

Very fun, great place bar downstairs offers great fun and girls, belushi restaurant offers discount food. Great for travel and easy bookings too.

I've stayed on the 18 bedroom room. It was good. Bathroom was clean at 18PM and terrible at 23pm. Each bad has a curtain, internal light and power socket. They charged me 1 pound for a liquid soap (lasted several uses) and 2 pounds if I am not mistaken for a towel. The bed was comfortable. Below the bed there is a cage where you can put your bags a lock it if you have a lock. A little noisy because of the bar on the first floor, but nothing a would complain.

Great location at a great price! Especially since breakfast was included! Very happy every time I stay there!

Reception / Workers: they are nice people. When you get into the hostel, you will see a jar offering you free ear plugs. This is because you will probably hear the music from inside your room, until 2PM more or less. Join the party or prepare to write a review like this. This is definitely not a place to have a rest properly. You can hear everything from the room, even people crossing the small hall. Room: the pictures are really different to what you will find there. A friend of mine and I had a 2 bulk room. We had been told that London is not famous for offering affordable accommodation, but that place is a real crap — and I have been two times to London —. There was a window that cannot be opened, causing a terrible and unforgettable smell when you get into the "room". Please wash the cushions at least once a year. Bar: nice music, really loud, even when partying. Toilet: a shared toilet, quite clean, except a couple of days when it was full of wet toilet paper all over the place. Just go there if you want to get to the hostel at 3pm and you don't care about people carrying their luggage at 10am, 10cm from you, across the wall.

Great acomodation for travelers and students!

St Christopher's is generally a safe bet when looking for budget accommodation abroad. Hammersmith is no exception. The rooms and bathroom facilities are kept clean by the friendly staff. Unfortunately for us every single breakfast item (cereal, milk, bread, mugs etc) just kept running out — I had to constantly go to the bar and ask the woman to top up whatever I was after next which was disappointing but otherwise the experience was fine. I like the fast checkout.

I stayed at St Christophers Inn in Hammersmith for 3 nights with my friends. We had a Private 8-Bedroom. The bedclothes were clean and fresh, but there weren`t any towels, two shared bathroom, two toilets. The hostel is in very good place for communications, Breakfast was like in previous comments ;) But big plus for a party — on the ground floor at restaurant was disco ;).

I've stayed in a few hostels, and this cerainly is down with the worst of them. The walls are paper thin, and there is rules saying no alcohol up in the bedrooms, but no one is controlling it, the was people doing shotties and jaegarbmbs a few rooms down, and everyone can hear. And it seems that every annoying backpakcer ever known stays there, noone will leave the window open despite it being so hot! some of the bathrooms are a tight squeeze. There's no kitchen, or even a room for sitting, unless you count the overpriced bar downstairs, which at lunchtime fills with old men.
