Really enjoyed my stay here, facilities are great, breakfast is very good, they offer tours, rooftop bar, make up room, perfect area, very nice staff. Great experience!

My first experience of staying at a hostel, and I must say I am not dissapointed, friendly staff and place is really fresh.

This place is great. They have a bar, food, coffee, live bands, walking tours. They are within walking distance of tons of cool stuff. And a short bus or tube ride away from even more stuff. And it’s cheap.

It’s a really cool hostel in the heart of everything. There is lots to do within walking distance. The room was clean and the kitchen and bar was nice.

The rooms were clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious and worth the up charge. The location is great, very close to everything in London!

Highly recommend staying here. I came over with a Paintball team for a world paintball event and we stayed here. The staff are friendly, welcoming, awesome and always willing to help out and accommodate anyone's requirements. Rooms are tidy and clean. Common area is warm clean and tidy. Highly recommended.

I’ve just travelled 8 weeks through Europe and I’ve had really good experiences at places although the service hasn’t always been exceptional like at home in Adelaide Australia. However the service here from Jake and Val at the bar serving food and drinks is exceptional. Always smiling, they have top class personal relation skills. I seriously can’t fault their work. I’m extremely over hostels and was not looking forward to this stay but it has by far been some of the best accomodation and a pleasant surprise to have such accomodating people and above average facilities.
Couldn’t recommend this place anymore and the staff are so professional I’d come back here in a heart beat. I never write reviews but I seriously recommend this place and advise getting to know Jake a Val because your experience will be all the better for it. Cheers.

The bar vibe was really soft, not much going on there. The staff was really friendly and the rooms were clean. I was looking forward the gaming room, but I was told it was temporary out of service… Anyway would recommend as this should be fixed in a month.

I recently stayed here during my short time in London and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The staff is friendly and made me feel welcome. I even had some thought provoking conversations and laugh with some of the staff. I slept in a 6-person mixed room with an en-suite bathroom. The accommodations were nice and always clean. The food was good (Big ups to Dex, the evening chef). For the price and location, this place is hands down my favorite place! I will most definitely be going back when I return to London. They also have a ton of events that guest can sign up for from Pub Crawls, Walking Tours, and various other tourist things. I'm truly going to miss Stewart, Hazel, Val, Marta, Lou, and the rest of the staff that made my stay so enjoyable.

Great location, very friendly and helpful staff. Great facilities including a computer room, pamper room, cute rooftop bar, and large common area. Breakfast not free but affordable, plus coffee is free in the morning and cake is also for the taking during the day. A large fan in the dorm was an added plus.

Clean hostel with good Wi-Fi, a nice rooftop patio with cheap drinks during happy hour (5-7), large common room, very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms could be bigger and a table would have been helpful. Washrooms are private and majority of showers are private as well. Excellent location!

The best thing of this hostel is the location. I found it a bit expensive for what it offer, it is not very comfortable as it has lot of stairs for the luggage. I also didn't find the hostel atmosphere for those traveling solo. Resuming, if you are looking good location, it's the best. For other qualities go to generator hostel, I also went there and found it much better.

Very central location, good price, with good ambience and the facilities quite well. Make karaoke night, happy hour with drinks 2x1… The only downside, very few showers so you had to wait a long time to be able to get a…

I had a horrible experience staying at SoHostel.
To begin with, due to flight rescheduling, I arrived early around 10AM, and I was stricken by traveler's sickness, to the point where I puked twice on the street. They did not even allow me to sit in the inner lounge to get anything to eat/drink before the 2PM check-in time. The beds were slightly longer than twin-size but were very thin (I am petite at 5’2” and 115lbs and did not have much room). They were rickety bunk-beds that creaked when you moved at all. They had hard mattress-pads that were only a step above sleeping on the floor, with a flat pillow, and only one comforter that left you either too hot or too cold without it. I don't fault the hostel for this, but a very loud group moved into the room on my 2nd night and prevented me for getting any sleep (even with earplugs and a sleep mask)!
After I decided to check-out early, they did not refund me ANYTHING for the shorter stay, not even 50% back. They fully charged me for two nights that I did not even spend there. I would not recommend SoHostel to anyone who actually wants sleep during their trip. Do not make my mistake! A relaxing vacation should include a relaxing night's sleep, but SoHostel cannot accommodate this!

Everything was more than great during our stay in this hostel. The room was clean and comfortable and the toilets and showers were also very clean. There was a 24h reception and the receptionists were super kind. Every host had an individual key card to get into the building so this made us feel safe. The hostel is centrally located, just a few steps from Oxford street and China Town, very convenient as you have a huge variety of restaurants, shops and pubs just next to you. Last but not least, the hostel has a free storage room where you can leave your luggage. Me and my friends would definitely recommend this place and we will come back again on our next trip to London. Thank you very much Sohostel!

Summa summarum (do you write it that way? xD:) I can recommend the hostel unmistakingly, because you can't find anything like it for the price!

Price performance is good as the location is really very well located. The hostel itself is ok, you just can't expect too much. The pictures often look more beautiful than they actually are. If you can deal with a very simple, often somewhat noisy place, it is worth staying here. Our room, for example, had. Just a bed, small Lavabo and a window nothing else (really NOTHING), no storage area or anything else, would have had nothing left.

Awesome hostel, very nice and kind staff. The security is superb and so is the infrastructure. The bathrooms (even if they call it shared) are private (only one person per time) and the location is terrific. The bar downstairs is cool with good and affordable pints (they even have happy hours and weekends promotions) with a kitchen. The breakfast is good and with nice options for a small price. Accepts credit cards.

Stayed for nights and loved it! 20meters from a grocery store, 50meters from Oxford street and minutes from the closest tube station. I found this hostel better than most hotels. It was a positive and outgoing environment without being to wild. The breakfast wad so delicious and the dinner food such at soup and chicken pie — which I had both for around £3-5 was amazing! The staff was always extremely helful offering advice, opening doors and I even got a free drink one night as they were busy and tea took a short while longer. My only downfall was the shower was a bit hard to workout and then was mostly extra hot. But thats being really picky! I stay here anytime, thanks for a great London experience! :)

Very nice hostel! Bathrooms well maintained, breakfast delicious, many choices of food for you. Very spacious lounge where you can socialise or simply relax on the puffs. Staff pretty friendly and great cleanliness throughout the place too. Excellent location, I did everything I wanted by walking. Really recommend.

SoHostel is probably one of the best hostels I've stayed in. My room wasn't ever really full but 1 night, and even that night everyone was pretty quiet and respectful. Check in was easy, although they did photocopy my passport. One of the receptionists walked my to my room and showed me my bunk and where the room was, along with a quick tour no the property. Beds are about normal hostel… A little loud. The sheets are awesome, and the comforters are pretty warm. The rooms are pretty big, even with 3 bunk beds in here. Enough room they could have put a small table or something. Location is perfect. Tons of Asian food (little China is really close), and some street food. Really close to a few museums, tons of theaters, and shopping. Only complaint is the bathrooms Cann get a little messy, not sure how or why. And the rooms aren't as clean. Looks like the walls are pretty scuffed or might have some mold along the baseboard.

Pros: The location is top, friendly staff, Continental Breakfast is okey
Cons: Many toilets and showers on the aisle were "out of order" or dingly furnished, in the room there were no storage areas except for the lap pool drum, the mattress was maximum 10cm thick, the room door was very thin and on top and not dense at the bottom. So we could only sleep drunk well.
The photos on the booking pages look very promising. The reality, unfortunately, is different (compliment to the photographer).

The room of 4 people and room of 18 people are both comfortable actually. But that kinda depends on who your flatmates are… The service is quite good except some of the staff are not very kind to us. And there's "book exchange" by the reception desk which is interesting and useful for me. There's one part I find inconvenient that you have to pass through all the people having a good time at the bar to get to the hair dryer after shower. The best part is that you can print your boarding pass there!

The ideal thing of this hostel is that it is in a fantastic location. Account with a good breakfast, which you can complete only a pound more. The rooms are comfortable and bathrooms clean. Repeat.

I just moved to London last month and stayed in 3 hostels. The first 2 were for a day each and I stayed in SoHostel for about two weeks before moving into my flat. They have the best location in London, the absolute heart of all the action. The staff are kind and courteous, The computer room was large enough that I never had to wait to use the equipment and the morning breakfast wasn't bad. The rooms were nice although at 6'4 the single beds were just slightly too short. If the bars weren't there I'd have loved to hang my feet over the edge. Lots of tours were nearby and the staff have lots of information on what to do and where to go. I also met a lot of really fun people here from all over! Would stay here again.

The hostel is located in a quite area accessible to the points of interest in London, the service was always excellent, the hostel account with a room for washing clothes as well as with many showers and toilets, in fact everything is very good and the service in café/bar, excellent as well as economic (go to be london).

It is very well located to enjoy the walks a few metres away from Oxford Street. The climate is very relaxed and youthful. The staff very attentive.

Very clean, very spacious, perfect location, and care. Only the mattresses and pillows are bad (very thin, mattress more than mattress) and there is no kitchen or at least fridge. If there is a huge bar and very economical. Excellent food and beer.

Very good experience for a hostel! Staff is friendly, common space is lively, everything is clean and most of all, cheerful. It even has a "makeup" room with hair dryers and stage room style mirrors! Stayed in a 6 bed room, was simple but clean. Bed has power sockets reading light and an USB charger! The location is obviously also fantastic. Would recommend to a friend!

Very friendly staff and perfectly located place to stay as a visitor. Finding it at first can be a bit tricky with the construction going on at the moment but after the first time, finding your way back is cake. The chill area is great and it's nice to go to just for the pure fact that everyone else is there and meeting new people happens way easier. Over all this is a great experience that I think everyone should go through at least once in their life time.

The location of this hostel is very central. Right off Oxford Street in Soho. The staff also was nice and helpful. The double room we booked was tiny and except of a bed there is nothing, really nothing. You have to put really everything on the floor: phone, food, clothes. The bed had a super thin mattress and was not comfortable at all. At least it was quite clean. But the worst was the door slamming on the hallways. The doors are built in a way that they fall in the lock very loudly (I think it is because of fire safety) and when you have huge dorms around you, we were basically woken up every half an hour. Awful sleep!

What is superior about the Hostel is the price and location in Soho being major draw cards. Central London can be mega expensive for accommodation… especially at last minute. Walking to great eateries and theaters is a pleasure; tube stations are close for further afield travel. Stayed in a 4 person mixed dorm; guests I had where quiet and respectful. My larger luggage was left securely downstairs. What disappointed were the bathrooms weren't regularly attended too (despite the check list suggesting otherwise). Fairly clean… soap was never replaced for the duration of my stay. Whilst sleeping, many doors opening by other guests slammed, and there was no expectation of guests being quiet throughout the hostel. Not the greatest night sleep. A few tweaks making the place seem a little more like home would make this place great.

Very nice location and friendly staff. The room (4 bed dorm) was on the small side, but clean, and the bed was very comfortable and the duvet of good quality. Loved the common pamper room with makeup mirrors and hairdryers! Every hostel should have one. Price was good for such a central location.

This is my second time staying at this hostel. First time was great, had no issues. However this time around things have been very different. I got a double room with an ensuite. First night the shower didn't drain. I told the front desk and was asked not to use the shower. The next evening it still had yet to drain. I talked to the front desk again, they obviously didn't believe me because "they had a tech look at it that day" so a staff member had to verify that there was still a puddle of water in the shower. It eventually drained the next evening. What a joke, all I was offered for the inconvenience was a free drink even though I paid for a room with an ensuite and couldn't use it. Next the plug in, in my room stopped working. Told the front desk again. Said they would fix it later that day. That night got back to the hostel and big surprise they didn't do shit. Talked to the front desk and it won't be fixed for a few days which is after I check out. Only offer was they could charge my phone for me or I needed to sit in the common area. Sohostel has definitely lost my business and recommendation for any future trips. I would not recommend this hostel to any friends or family visiting London.

Really friendly and helpful staff. Lounge is fun with really good cheap food and drinks. Everything is clean and AMAZING location. Tons of events. This hostel blew me away.

Everyone is really nice, the rooms are simple but very clean. Same goes for the bathrooms and toilets. You have enough of them for everyone to be comfortable. Nice breakfast buffet for £5. Would definitely come again!

Arrived staff extremely rude and slow to serve. Got taken to my room and it stunk of sewerage. The staff acknowledged that they were aware. I said how unsafe it is to sleep breathing in toxic chemicals. He agreed and said that it is impossible to sleep in these conditions. Clearly upset they have been unhelpful and defensive. Even though they were aware of the problem before I arrived to this location. Had they given me prior warning I would not have stayed here at all. Overall disgusting rooms that were small, overcrowded toxic. Luca helpful.

WARNING: This is NOT a youth hostel. Overall negative experience at this hostel. I made a reservation and was later told I would have to change rooms during the middle of the stay (okay but I made it work). However when I was made to change rooms, I was put in with all men, two of whom were very cool, funny, exciting, but the other two were over 40… and as a 22-year-old female, I didn't feel comfortable sleeping in the same room where creepy, older men with big bellies not wearing shirts and smelling heavily of smoke slept right across from me. And when I expressed my discomfort to the staff, I was laughed at and not helped at all, which I still find highly upsetting. My first room was an older one and while clean, the bathroom did have mold on it above the door. The second room (a 6-bed) was much more spacious and new. The hostel atmosphere was pretty dead and everyone mostly kept to themselves… definitely not a "social" hostel like others I've stayed in. The hostel advertises a rooftop, but it wasn't open once during normal bar hours during my 4-night stay and even the "hostel bar" was closed on a Friday night. ***It's not a youth hostel, there are many older adults staying (which I found to be quite odd) *** location is nice, breakfast is literally toast and butter and some yogurt so I wouldn't splurge for it, because you can get some better food around the corner.

Location is in a fun area with restaurants and convenient stores nearby. Plenty of places to drink and within walking distance to awesome choices for shopping. I was in a 3 person room, it was fun, not too cramped and with a private sink. They're plenty of restrooms and showers on the floor. 2 laundry rooms are available per floor. However, one of the dryers broke down while I was there and did not dry my clothes properly. Also, the machine themselves do not take very big loads, and it costs £4.25 to get tokens for the washer and dryer. You get 1 soap pod, nothing to put in the dryer, and pray your clothes get properly dried. But the staff was helpful and understanding and helped me to the best of their ability. People were always coming and going so seeing lots of different people was fun. Drinks and dinner are relatively cheap. I would say the breakfast is not worth the additional price, you can get something else better, nearby at a somewhat similar price. One bad instance was one of the girls in my floor had her chefs jackets stolen 4 of her 5 jackets taken from the dryer. Do be careful and check your dryer every now and then. Otherwise fun space and great location, would definitely recommend and come back again in the future. FYI I would day it is not disability friendly. There is one elevator that goes to each floor, but many stairs come after the elevator between each sections on the same floor.

Unimpressive hostel. There's no AC in the rooms so good luck sleeping in the sauna of a room. But don't worry you won't be sleeping anyway because all the noise of your neighbours in hallways and even in their rooms will be heard in your room. The lockers are tiny and the plugs to charge your mobile devices are not convenient especially on top bunk, no plugs for you. The hostel atmosphere is stale and plain and the music is very loud in the common area. If you're considering staying here I'd keep looking. 3/10, would not stay again.

SoHostel was a lovely place to stay — the staff were all very friendly and welcoming to me and the whole atmosphere felt very relaxed. Their book exchange — where you can swap one of your own books for one of theirs — was very cool. The rooms are your typical hostel fare — smallish with bunk beds — but comfy. One of the toilets had a strange quirk — you had to squash yourself right in the corner to shut the door. The location was prime and right on the doorstep of various clubs, pubs and strip joints in Soho. I felt the check-out time of 10am was a little early, considering most of their clientelle will be likely to be wasted from the night before!

Excellent location in the Centre of London, in the middle of Soho.
The staff of the hostel is very nice and friendly. They have a kitchen that serves food, there are happy hours in drink also.
The beds are very comfortable and everything is very clean. In the bathrooms cleaning services are consistent.
Not to mention, breakfast is perfect and plentiful. I highly recommend it.

The bedding is nickel and reads are done all day.
It is a very clean hostel, the hired him is often done.
I take off a star because Wi — Fi is poor with a Linnean identification does not.
The second negative for me, there are not enough electrical outlet, they are far from bed.

Very good and central location, just 3 minutes from the metro and 5 walk to Piccadilly. Young and friendly staff, quiet places 18 comrade. Great access to showers directly from your room! Recommended.

I absolutely loved it. It was right behind Leicester Square. All floors had different access keys which was very nice. Was not sound proofed so I could hear people walking in the halls and the people in the room next to me.

Budget wise its a good option in Soho. Not really great to meet other people, and staff not too friendly/helpful. Although that might just be London.

I checked in at 1am and found two very happy staff members which greeted me by name and happily showed me to my room. For budget accommodation I was treat extra well and would love to return.

Nice hostel, clean, easy to find, good place, in front there is a Tesco score. I booked with included breakfast and it was a continental one but good quality.

Very nice hostel, staff down to earth, very nice service, clean, modern, everything here for your comfortable stay and this hostel is in the heart of London, so easy to get around, plus shopping district are here just on the corner Oxford Street. I am really like this hostel very much, you can feel very welcome in that place, not like other hostel in London, where you are just number and pleasent stay doesn't matter.
