Very nice place but needs a a bit of work. Nice staff and near the heart of the city with lots to walk to and enjoy.

Just a beautiful place to stay, management on deck made you feel right at home our room was very good, food was very good 'cooked breakfast, lovely service we received thought our stay. We will be back, highly recommend.

My better half and I recently stayed here for three days. This place is small but the breakfast was good. They are conveniently located by the Underground. In addition, they let us check in to our room at 9 AM after an overnight flight. It was great having the opportunity to freshen up after a 10 hour flight. We were refreshed and able to enjoy better our first day in the UK. Also they printed out tickets for us for our next flight out of town. Overall good place.

Just got home from a 2 night stay at your lovely little hotel. Room was plenty big enough for the 3 of us, beds were clean and very comfy. Slept well. Breakfast was lovely as were all the staff. Would definitely recommend to friends and would stay here again.

Very friendly desk clerks. Excellent breakfast. Got a room on the 4th floor & had to carry our large suitcases up. Very tiny bathroom. Nice little courtyard.

Friendly and helpful staff, amazing location, very clean, charming patio with a coffee/tea cart, super accommodating with my family (me, wife, 4 month baby). Highly recommend!

Cosy, clean and close to everything. A little garden not to miss at the back. Only drawback is the rooms are rather tiny and has no lift (which is actually part of its charm being such an old building)

The staff were very friendly and helpful. What gave the mess with our stay was that the beds had bedbugs. It was very unpleasant to be in the early morning cleaning the beds. We were moved from room the next day and no longer had that inconvenience.

Stayed at Regency house hotel in March 17th. We were pleased with the price and location and clean rooms, but were disappointed with staff and their attitudes. Very abrupt welcome and very basic. In returning in the evening and sitting on our bed eating supper and watching TV a knock at the door by a gentleman who did not introduce himself and just said you need to keep noise down as your neighbours are complaining. In the morning going down for breakfast the staff member serving was very sullen and not at all helpful. We were very disappointed as one member of our group had alergies and that was not catered for so all she was able to have was orange juice. On check out they just took key and not even a polite" how was your stay. " So very disappointing as this hotel is in such a good location if only the staff could be more personable and as they are the hospitality business and need to be more aware of their clients and there needs.

The staff at this hotel are so rude! When we checked in the guy at the desk was so blunt and boring, when we got in at midnight last night we had a man knock on our door telling us we were being too loud when actually all we were doing was sitting in bed, watching TV and eating McDonald’s! He didnt even tell us who he was so god knows if he even worked there!
This morning when we went down for breakfast the girl serving had a face on her like a smacked arse and they didnt have any soya milk or anything for people with allergies so some of us couldn’t actually have breakfast despite paying for it and finally when we check out the guy at the desk just took our room key without saying a word to us, not even a goodbye or hope your stay was nice!
It was clear no one here enjoys their job! Rooms were okay, beds moved a lot which was annoying. Definitely wont be staying again.

Such a lovely bed and breakfast. We loved the rooms and the breakfast. The staff was always very helpful. Everything was always very clean. The place is close to bus stops and tube stations which was very useful. If we visit London again we would definitely come back here.

Discreet but available staff, placed close to busy transportation lines and excellent value for money. This small hotel is really a good address for a stay in London.

Beds were uncomfortable and hard, the breakfast menu was very limited and not very good (hot chocolate was made of water and the eggs were over-cooked) dining staff were not particularly nice and didn't seem to care at all. The room itself wasn't too bad aperture from the bed, a fridge/freezer, microwave, and kettle with tea were provided and the bathroom was clean and of an okay size.

It's situated in a pretty good area, close by to some shops and tube stations. The staff were very nice and helpful. However, the breakfast was. Subpar and the rooms were nice but nothing too special. Overall it was a fine experience.

Good locattion round corner from loads of shops/restaurants and not far from euston station. Rooms comfortable and friendly staff. Breakfast is ok could be a bit bigger and reasonable price for rooms.

Very noisy street, room was tiny & crammed for the prize, window can't be opened, bed so small I kept kicking myself at furniture, breakfast truly IS a joke.

Good price given the excellent location in central london. Rooms are clean but very small. Breakfast is a joke. I would recommend if you are looking for a cheap place just to sleep and keep ur luggage.

7th, 8th, 9th, June, 2013. My wife and I have just spent a most enjoyable weekend in London, staying at The Regency House Hotel, 71, Gower Street. The Staff working there at the moment, (I doubt they are getting payed enough), are the most pleasant, helpful, and interesting people I have had the pleasure of talking to for a very long time. The Hotel is spotlessly clean, the rooms are adequate, our room had the usual accessories, tea/coffee making, /hair dryer/freeview TV, and to our surprise a fridge/freezer and microwave oven. Our room was warm, and the secondary double glazing kept out the road noise. The breakfast was very good and cooked to order, it fueled us up ready for our days wonder. Lots of sightseeing venues are within walking distance of the hotel, very close by is Russell Square where there is a bus to the O2 Arena, it takes around 1 hr to get there, but you see much of the South of the river, (bus stop C, route 188, takes you almost in to the Arena its self). Look for bus stop D for the return journey. Our reason for this short break was to see Paloma Faith at the O2 arena and the show Singing in the Rain at the Palace Theatre, and we found this little treasure called The Regency House Hotel.

I have been hosted at this family hotel on three occasions. Good situation. Quiet neighborhood. Familiar treatment. Good breakfast. Super value! I read in a comment that it is a little expensive. I do not understand. It should take into account that pay in pounds. I'll be back.
