Reviews of The Corner London City 3*
The smiling and welcoming staff, it's always a plus.
Rooms with modern design, clean and comfortable.
The bar, kitchen and common area, lounge are unique with a sumptuous decoration.
The best hotel in London & super great value.
The room is very cozy (quality bedding and very comfortable) as well as the common areas. I appreciate USB sockets that make it easier to charge our phones and tablets.
It is very nice to have a drink in the comfortable lounges after a day of walking.
The location of the hotel is top, metro nearby as well as bus station.
We ordered one evening the vegetarian board as well as the cheese board which were excellent as well as the very good falafel burger.
Breakfast is no longer served as a buffet because of the covid measures however it is still very good with quality products (very good pastries, fresh fruit, yoghurt, fruit juices, cold cuts, cheese, dried fruit etc). What I also like is the free 24-hour coffee machine as well as the water jugs.
The staff are nice and meet your expectations.
One evening the room had not been cleaned while the cleanliness is a real plus of this hotel and we were offered cocktails by the manager, we appreciated this generous attention. The next day the room was made and very cool.
The hotel is very attentive to the permanent disinfection in common places however the wearing of the mask is not mandatory the servers do not wear it (as in all London for that matter).
We had a great time, this was our 2nd stay at the qbic hotel and we will be back. I would recommend this hotel.
Lovely hotel. Quirky. With great atmosphere.
Very comfortable.
Funky, groovy hotel. Encouraging clients to be eco friendly. Great location. Highly recommended!
My home away from home with everything I need within my reach! Clean, quiet, cozy, charming. This is the place to stay if you want to be within walking distance of shops, cheap eats, etc! What a great experience.
Comfortable, friendly staff, just like this hotel.
My daughter booked this hotel as a treat for us. I would say it is aimed at the younger persons.
Staff are very friendly rooms are spotlessly clean. Very quirky hotel not your normal sort. One thing I didn’t like was you did not have tea making facilities in your room. So you have to get dressed and go and find the communal coffee machine in the corridor. And try to get back to your room with very hot paper cups. Not ideal. My daughter would love to stay here again, but not for me I am afraid.
A really excellent experience. Everything clean, design of room and bar areas delightful, staff really friendly and pro-actively helpful — and NICE. Good food, pleasant dining area, attentive waiting service, useful to have car parking, location very good (easy bus travel to City and West End), liked the jokes in the lifts. Double glazing not perfect, but the area facing our room (back of the hotel) was quiet anyway. Can't recommend Qbic enough. Thank you very much. ps I was unaware of the food sharing option peter dewey.
Very modern hotel. Got upgraded to room with window. Very good size for London. Enormous wide queen size or more bed and big bathroom. Now, the shower is bit problem if you don't want to wet your hair so be aware. Nice bar with knowledgeable bartender. Did not try breakfast or dinner but place very nice. Very clean and very attentive personnel.
Overpriced — I stayed here a few months ago as I come regularly for business and the customer experience was great — attention to detail — they had free breakfast and snacks from 6-9 — for this reason even though I was woken up at 4am in the morning twice by the fire alarm I looked this over and chose this as my regular spot. This time around you have to pay £15 for breakfast which is extortionate and that does not include a so called ‘fancy’ coffee. Following that I had dinner on the first night and found a nail in my food and they ever so kindly simply offered me a drink instead of taking it off my bill. I will not be staying here again — which is a shame since our company is here on a bi-weekly basis.
Nice new hotel in an amazing position, very close to the city center, in a walking distance from the brick lane and the metro station. The room is very clean, but, to save some money, I booked the one without windows, and this was an mistake, because there was a lot of humidity. So I liked the hotel, but I raccommand you to choose the rooms with windows.
I stayed here for a weekend. Very nice and special Hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff, they are all young guys, they help you for anything, and they always do it with a smile on their faces. You can dine and have lunch at competitive prices, they have a very varied menu (super top the shrimp burger). Breakfast is international all you can eat buffet or paper. All plentiful and very good. The hotel bar offers many alternatives and the guys who work there are all very nice and kind.
It is wheelchair accessible. There's a back entrance with the ramp. The room we had us was nice spacious, sanitary hanging and shower at floor level.
There are buses and metro nearby. The most convenient metro station is Aldgate (wheelchair accessible) or tower Hill (accessible) but a little further away.
A 15-minute walk leads to London Bridge and London Tower.
The neighborhood is very nice. On a main street but it remains silent and little trafficated.
It is a hotel that I highly recommend. You are not far from the main attractions but you are not even in the city where the prices become exorbitant.
Tip: If you have little time I recommend you use the taxi for longer trips.
They're not as expensive as they say!
Altogether I would give a nice 9!
See you soon.
The Qbic surprised me a lot. I originally booked it because it was a good price and near to where my friends and I were going to a party on Saturday night, but when I got there it was one of the coolest places I have stayed in. The decor is just really well done, and the free tea/coffee in the corridor was a lovely addition. The staff were all really friendly, and overall I can't fault the hotel or my stay at all.
Young super green hotel, in a very comfortable location to visit London. The rooms are not very large, but there is absolutely nothing missing! Moreover, the staff is always very helpful.
We stayed in Qbic hotel London For a birthday weekend treat. If you are looking for a reasonably priced centrally based hotel, look no further. This is a quirky place to stay, you won't find anything else like it in London for the price. The room we stayed in was an internal room so no window, but it wasn't a problem, if anything it was an advantage. I had the best nights sleep for ages, lovely big bed and so quiet. The ethos is energy saving and they encourage this throughout your stay, for example, if you don't have your room cleaned on your second day, you are entitled to a free drink at the bar. The hotel is modern and clean and so quirky, we loved it. The staff were polite and attentive and made our stay completely relaxed and enjoyable, thank you. I give 5 out of 5 I can't think of anything negative to say.
This hotel was perfect! The bed was comfy & the room was layed out very well. The hotel is right by the tube so access around town was very easy. The staff was top notch. Overall a great hotel. I would definitely stay here again.
Small rooms, good shower, comfy bed. I'm not a fan of the style of room, but it does set itself apart from the other hotels. Buffet breakfast with waffle machine. Reasonable selection, plus the options of a cooked breakfast made to order. Nonoron or ironing board in room, but a quick call to reception and one can be delivered. Reception is manned 24/7 which is great.
In many respects a really good hotel. Loved the lobby and bar and restaurant area. Restaurant very busy which is unusual in a hotel, a bit pricey. Go for the small plates which are really nice and better value. The hotel failed miserably on the car parking. I'm disabled and need car park facilities. Could not get back into paid car park as gated and no one answers the buzzer. Had to drive round to front to reception and get someone to let me in. Which isn't great when you have mobility issues. Got to be an easier way. Otherwise would recommend.
Great location, clean, good quality furniture but the smallest of living spaces.
Stayed for 1x night as came to London to celebrate birthday. Location was excellent, with a 2x min walk to the nearest tube station. The hotel was very clean and had a quirky vibe that was young and fresh. Bed was super comfy and great shower too! Def recommend to anyone wanting to stay in the City of London as great value for money also!
In general we were very pleased with the hotel, our experience during the stay has been extraordinary, both for the treatment of personal (to highlight Mery and Jorge) that have been shown to be great professionals in your sector, making our stay there was unforgettable, helping us in all times, resolving questions and improving our stay to the point of making us feel like at home and want to return again. The food is exceptional, the breakfast very complete, the rooms were very functional, quiet, and original, the bed very large and super comfortable, ideal for rest after you get tired after kicking the city. The situation of the hotel close to metro station and bus stop, very central, across the street, restaurants and supermarkets. The contact with the hotel prior to the stay has been fantastic. Without a doubt, we recommend it 100% to our friends and family, and if we return to London we will again stay at the hotel Qbic! We give them a 10 because there is no higher score.
The hotel bar and restaurant were closed during our stay, so we were offered a nice complimentary breakfast. The room was clean and comfortable, just what we needed to sleep. It has easy access to the underground. The only thing I would have liked is a few drawers to save my clothes and undergarments during my stay.
A fantastic and unique hotel. Great location and super staff. Very fast Wi-Fi which is free. Rooms are brilliant — a good size and a modern contemporary layout, they're also spotlessly clean. Lots of convenient design features. Very cool indeed.
At this time you enter through a secondary door. Clean and helpful staff. Discreet continental breakfast offered on the floors. Very good location two minutes from the subway.
I have loved the original hotel. Loved the food a lot. Loved the stuff and their helpfulness. Didn’t like the garden next to the hotel as a single woman. It’s better in couples, but still went out every night and stayed late. And it’s just across brick lane and the markets.
The hotel is being renovated but the staff were friendly and They put on free drinks and snacks between 6pm and 8pm. I had to get rooms ermine as there was no restaurant or bar. However, this can quickly and was tasty. I gave stayed at this hotel before and the atmosphere is really nice. Rooms are a bit quirky and not to everyone's taste. Location is good for city of London.
Nice, modern hotel with bad soundproofing in all ways imaginable. You can clearly hear people outdoors, cars are very loud. Bathroom door does not close. You have to love your mate very much. Otherwise a nice hotel in a good location. Unfortunately no one mentioned the renovating while we were booking, we would have probably chosen otherwise. There is not much except rooms now, no lobby to sit, very very small and overfilled reception.
One of my favorite hotels EVER! I've stayed at Qbic twice now and they never disappoint. Cute, functional rooms, very friendly staff and the food is beyond delicious. It's a very quiet hotel, close to the center and to the London city airport which makes it very convenient as well. This is definitely my go-to hotel in London and I can't wait to come back soon.
It is a different hotel, with a decoration based on street photography, large rooms. What made it worse was that they were doing works in large part of the hotel.
Very helpful and friendly staff. Loved the bean to cup coffee facility. Quirky overall. Made use of the option of forgoing having you room cleaned/bed made for some credit at the bar. Having said that, room floor was really dusty on arrival and not cleaned on the day that we had the room cleaned either. But overall a good experience and good location/tube access for where we needed to go. Hotel was very unique and hip for the lack of a better word. Rooms were large and comfortable and the bathroom was also well sized and clean. No complaints there.
Very good location for both work in the city to do some sightseeing in the center, since it is very close to metro stops and the city itself financial.
Great price quality relationship.
Good hotel, clean, modern design spectacular… great service, and breakfast buffet completisimo and quality.
Nice and modern. Helpful and friendly staff. Room was very clean The only flaw is the very small room and no windows but still nice for those who want to stay for a few days. Great location and close to Metro.
We enjoyed every aspect of our stay here. The hotel was well priced about $89/n. One of my favorite things was the free drink at the bar for skipping the room cleaning and the free tea. The glass bottle of water in the room was nice too. The staff was nice and very helpful. They offer parking for a charge. The places to eat near by are really good don't be to discouraged because they are small and not a big budget company. Back to the hotel, the beds are very comfortable, the windows open :) the air conditioning works, and the room has a nice TV. They are near a the bus stops and underground subway (Aldgate East).
I loved the hotel. The design is great and the staff very friendly. The metro is one minute away and there is only one stop from Liverpool Street. The rooms are very spacious and fun. Without doubt is highly recommended.
Large room for 3 (about 25 sqm) ; very nice décor. Lovely staff very good breakfast (sweet/savoury buffet) ; close to the Metro and buses (including the 25 to Oxford Circus).
One of the nicest and best hotel we have ever been. The staff is very kind, the interior design is absolutely incredible. The breakfast is amazing. Location is great, small supermarket and a Starbucks one minute walk. Very comfortable and cozy rooms. Just all the vibes and atmosphere is perfect. If you had any doubts about that place, so don’t.
Really enjoyed the quirkiness of the hotel. Great staff — great location and nice rooms. Can’t thank you guys enough for the help at check in. We arrived early and asked to be checked in early — non of the rooms were ready yet (as we had a 3 person room). The lady on reception went out of her way to track down house keeping and ask that our room be cleaned next (which is was). Made such a difference to our day — thank you so much. Beds are super comfy too! Thanks Qbic for a pleasant couple of nights.
We had a really good, spotless room and friendly staff. Great breakfast! I hope to return!
The Hotel is in a very interesting area of London, not very central but easily reachable. The close walking distance of London Bridge, Tower of London and Docks makes the place even more attractive. The Hotel is essential but comfortable, furnished with great artistic taste, the "cubic" rooms are comfortable and complete and the only thing missing, that is the natural light, for a short time does not make you regret. The free coffee on each floor is a cutery in addition, like the micro-filtered water in the room. Beautiful aesthetic finds, from plush to indicate "Do Not Disturb" to funny messages in the elevator. Staff.
I decided to plan a solo adventure to London and picked Qbic because the price was reasonable for one person and I loved the the decor and location. You can't beat around $100 a night near Shoreditch for a super nice hotel. The staff at check in was super nice. They offer to hold my bags until my room was ready, but eventually let me check in a couple of hours early, which was great since I had just gotten off an 8 hour flight from Texas and needed a shower. When I realized I lost the key to my suitcase lock, the front desk sent maintenance to my room to cut off the lock. The maintenance man was really nice and gave me a few recommendations for London. Most of my time was spent exploring the city but one night I did hang out at the hotel bar. Patrick and Michael provided excellent service and chatted with me until the bar closed. I will most definitely stay at Qbic the next time I'm in London and I highly recommend them.
1 night stay in room 6 for business. The hotel decor is a little quirky but very modern. For instance my light was a garden hose wrapped in itself. The room was extremely clean, the bed was very comfortable, the toilet was very spacious and a large rainfall style shower with good pressure and temperature. I had the breakfast in the morning which was £11 because I had a room. This includes full continental buffet + 1 main breakfast. Well worth it. The hotel isn't great to look at from the outside as its just old bricks but couldn't speak highly enough of the staff, food and room. I would definitely stay again. Thanks.
Solid rooms in a unique location. Some loudness and questionable people in the neighborhood. Pretty sure we saw a drug deal outside our first floor room. Appreciate the green initiative, but some minor tweaks are needed for safety in the rooms (having the step into the bathroom cube is awkward). Food was good in the morning, not great at night. Better, more local menu would be great too.
I liked the decoration, its' funny. I did not like that the hotel was quite impersonal. I like the intention of being sustainable, but to be honest it looked like that's only in favor of the staff so they have less work to do which cost less money. I don't see it back in the whole concept unfortunately. The location was great and the rooms ware decent, but I really missed having some fresh air. The restaurant felt more like a junkfood kind of bar instead of a nice and sustainable and fresh restaurant. The front desk was kind of chaotic and I did not feel super welcome. That has nothing to do with their friendliness, but it's more an over all feeling. I will contact you trough e-mail, maybe I can be of a help in this case, there it's my job.
The hotel is in a good location for the tube and staff were friendly and helpful. The room was comfy, a reasonable size with a great bed and bathroom. It was windowless, which was OK but could have been improved with a more ambient light setting/dimmer switch. Good free coffee machine in the corridor. I liked the ecological initiatives too. Slightly noisy air-con.
We checked out this morning. A fantastic location, only 1 stop from Liverpool St. The hotel is fabulous with some very cool design features. We loved the room, really comfortable bed, great shower and we got to watch The Bill in bed! We ate the first night, delicious burgers & had drinks at the bar both nights. I would happily stay again. The icing on the cake was the friendly, warm, hospitable staff, they raised the bar. Thanks for your kindness & fun.
We stayed with two adults and two young children. The location is perfect; located close to the subway, even in walking distance of the Tower Bridge. Staff was very hospitable, friendly and correct. Rooms are clean, spacious and stylish and the bed is large and so comfortable. Overall very complete. The complimentary bottles of water are a nice touch. Also free coffee and tea down the hall! Parking is priced fairly (which was a notable pro for us) and breakfast is very tasty with diverse items. Also the atmosphere downstairs is very homely. Would recommend this hotel to everyone! Qbic is a great starting point for exploring London.
It was not easy to find a wheelchair-accessible room and hotel. But at the end of my search was the Qbic. I am so glad I found this hotel. As I liked the design very much and the food was even better. But a socket in the bathroom would have been nice for the hair dryer. And the rain shower I loved!
Nice hotel. The picture aabove the head was a little irritating. Nice and friendly staff. Very easy check in. Located a bit far from the touristy stuff but close to the underground.
I really like staying at the QBIC and choose this for my London trips now. The surrounding neighborhood is great, particularly if you go up Brick Lane, and there is ample room for activities like running and sightseeing. The rooms are clean and quiet, the beds are comfortable, and the rooms are big. I'd like more storage for clothes so that I don't have to pile everything up on the floor — some shelves would be great! I also really like the staff and the art/decor. The breakfast is particularly good, with high quality food and a many options. I also like the coffee machines on each floor.
Fell in love with this place immediately! The staff are amazingly kind and helpful and the decor is fantastic. Its the sort of place that you'd end up staying for longer than you thought. The comfort of a top hotel with a superb breakfast with the coolness and laid back feel of a hostel. Can not wait to return!
The staff very attentive and friendly. The facilities and rooms very comfortable and modern. The Bar-restaurant of excellent quality. Recommended 100% for care, comfort and situation. See you soon!
Great care, very caring and a bed unbeatable.
My stay was enjoyable. The location and service were good. The bed was wonderful the room was bright and clean. I had some issued with the bathroom amenities, like there were no washcloths provided and the lighting was not good for applying make-up. And I couldn't unpack my suitcase since there were no drawers or shelving, just a small place to hang jackets. But all in all, it was a pleasant place to spend a week in London, and the price was right.
Recommended. Great service and very clean.
Qbic is the only hotel I frequent that gives me what I need, instead of what I want. And I love it for being so efficient and no-frills. I got a very bright room, a very comfy bed and that's it. But hey, in London we are, you are not supposed to spend time in the hotel to begin with. If you really need to unwind a few minutes, the bar will of course provide you some good help. Overall, I still have to find a better offer for my money in Central — East London, so I continue to happily come back here!
Nice idea. Well located. Clean. But in our room extremely noisy. Windows are very permeable. Every word of the people heard on the street. At night extremely noisy by frenzied cars out there, police and ambulances, drunks. No restful nights. Bought extra earplugs, otherwise there would be no sleep at all. Bad OK, but you can hear everything that happens in the bathroom even in the room as the Badetür does not close properly. To go to the toilet at night without waking the other by creaking the Badbodens, light or the noisy toilet flushing impossible.
Stylishly furnished. Well located. Friendly staff.
I'm a big fan of Qbig hotel. Staff at check-in and check-out was very friendly and extremely fast. The room was clean and the bed super comfy. The daily free bottle of water came in very handy. Complimentary coffee and tea was appreciated. What I didn't like too much was the rain shower. Since there was no door, the water went everywhere. There should have been a handheld shower head as well. Second flaw: the bathroom door which can't be closed completely. For more privacy this would be helpful.
My son and I loved the quirky modern feel to the hotel. The free access to tea and coffee worked much better than the in room model and the room was great. Mostly, the breakfast choice was great (mainly had buffet) one of the best in London that I've had so far, BUT the pancakes were a disappointment. Loved the visit and will very likely come back.
We have visited Qbic several times now and it's always a pleasure. We especially like the quirkiness and the wonderful rooms. It's also great that you can borrow bikes for free! Keep up the good work!
Touch youth like a hostel but better quality. Would.
So I've been to a lot hotels all over, but this was one of the more friendly, comfy and well location:ed ones. Like for instance the guy in the reception on the morning of our check out, he had seen to it so the kitchen had prepared some breakfast sandwiches for us to bring as we checks out forbidden early in the morning, or Maby to late in the night ;) Loved every staff we came in contact with. The amazing comfy bed. And the location. Thank you loads… and. I'll be back!
A small, quirky, friendly hotel. The staff are lovely, buffet breakfast is superb; the bar menu is limited but everything is cooked to order and tastes amazing. The Roast Chicken dish is wonderful. There is now the added addition of a new Bar Manager who is extremely hospitable. For those visiting forget taking the tube, it is 10 minutes walk to the Guerkin, Walky Talky and other attractions, also only 25 mins to St Paul's Cathedral which takes in a little designer shopping on the way!
Great hotel with everything I needed, but nothing I didn't. The room was comfy, quiet, and had all the little extras like plugs by the bed missing in so many hotels. Food was good and overall very impressed. Some people might not like that the room doesn't have a window, but to me that's a positive as it made it quiet and dark for sleeping. Lots of quirky signage makes for a smile or two as well.
Visited in 2015. Very spacious rooms and the best so comfortable and large that is the bed. The design of the hotel is very original. Highly recommended.
Really very bad in every respect; SACO is infinitely better — use at your Peril as once they have your money you are alone…
The aesthetic of the hotel is very curious, and covers everything from the reception and the rooms to the halls. Room small note in the passing zones that are very narrow, massive bed and bed, not two as together. The bathroom is very spacious also. The rooms usually do not have windows. Has punch of hair, jack of England and of Spain. Highly recommended.
Arbor City Hotel has lovley rooms and absolutely helpful and courteous staff and a really good service. There was really nothing to complain about.
Super gelegen, nahe Liverpool Street Station. Viele Sehenswürdigkeiten sind fußläufig erreichbar. Die Zimmer sind modern und sauber, die Betten groß und gemütlich, das Personal freundlich und aufmerksam und das Frühstücksbuffet lecker und umfangreich.
The location is super. Could be reached within a 20-minute walk the tower of London. Or a Station with rail travel. Rooms are functionally furnished. There is no closet, but for a couple of days, the suitcase is sufficient. Rooms without window are a little established of getting used to but chic. Service is super.
The stay was great apart from a disappointing experience at breakfast on the final morning. To be honest, it was really disappointing to have our trip close with such a poor experience. I've worked in hotels, bars and restaurants so I know first hand that it is not the type of experience that should be considered acceptable. Regardless of that, I would not hold that as a representation of the hotel itself and would like to think of it as a one off. It's the second time we have stayed at the hotel and I would definitely consider staying again the next time I am in London as I think the facilities, design, location and staff (mostly) are all fantastic. Keep doing the good things you do! There are so many little details that set you apart from other hotels. Hope to come back again one day, but hope not to have a poor experience at breakfast again. Thanks for a mostly enjoyable experience.
A great experience from first arrival. Hassle free parking, quick and simple check in, cool bar and excellent room. There's nothing not to love here really!
Stayed there two years ago and I am so looking forward to staying there again tonight! It's a great hotel! Very clean rooms and friendly staff! Plus the location is great!
If you are looking for a fresh, young hotel with excellent service, this is the place to be. The hotel is located nearby an underground tube station and bus station, you are in the center of London in less than 15 minutes. Our room was perfect, clean and big enough to dance around. The bed was one of the best we've ever slept on! We will certainly come back!
Nette Hotel Super Service! Gratis W-Lan! Top.
The stuff, hotel, food. Was excellent! Everything was perfect! I spend some really good days in london and i'll definitely come back! Thank you so much for making my stay so pleasant :-)
I was happy with my stay at Qbic with my husband. I liked all the efforts to be environmentally friendly, and the location was very close to a tube station (Aldgate East). The decorations were lovely and trendy. The food was great, and we were glad to have free Wi-Fi. A few things I disliked were the pillows (they were a bit lumpy, not fluffy), the bathroom door not shutting in a very private way, and the price of the hotel not including a complementary breakfast.
By far the quirkiest hotel I've stayed in but I ansolutely loved it! Staff really friendly, in a great location and a giant confy bed. Would recomend to anyone.
Beautiful hotel, incredibly eccentric, modern design. Very economical without compromising on quality. Excellent food and charming dining room. Nicest hotel I've stayed at.
The hotel is incredibly quirky, and you spend half the time looking at all the different designs of furniture! The food is amazing, not huge portions, but more than enough to fill you up and send you on your way. The staff were so so friendly, we actually had a chat with one of the members of staff, (Can't remember his name but he said there's a gold letterbox out side his house! ) he was so genuine but helpful! The bedrooms were squeaky clean, and the beds ridiculously comfy. The daily quotes in the lift were a lovely touch too. The location of the hotel meant we did quite a bit of travelling on the tube, as everything we wanted to see was a 15 minute journey away. However the tube station was so close we didn't mind, and as we aren't Londoners, we got to experience the tube which was fun! Overall the hotel was amazing, much more exciting and quirky than hotels usually available. I have already recommended you to friends!
We felt confortable and cared by all staff
Thanks!
Qbic provides an excellent base for a London break. Convenient location, 2 mins from tube station, close to great eating choices and 'tourist' spots. Charming service, clean quiet comfy rooms, great restaurant offering good food. It offers excellent value for money and a very pleasurable experience. Love Qbic hotels.
The Hotel is extremely clean and nice — staff are all welcome! Also the decor is made with love! The food is delicious — but had to try it no time unfortunately… I sights in no other Hotel when I'm in London! 've had so many bad experiences with Hotels in London…
Inexpensive, modern, clean, Central, & free coffee!
To recommend a very nice Hotel.
Absolutely recommend this hotel. Value for money is outstanding. Clean, modern and truly captivating design. Close to metro, also offers a great breakfast (full English). Just top!
Came across Qbic by chance. The exterior design made us curious to explore further. So glad we came in as we were completely wowed by the interior design, including the unusual concept of using crates for lighting. On entering we were greeted by a smiling young man and lady behind a cart of some sort with wheels, which was the reception desk, (very unusual, but seemed to work) We talked about the designs and décor of the hotel, we were also shown pictures of the rooms on their monitor, as they explained the hotels pod concept and the disappearance of the "Do not disturb" teddy bears used in the rooms. Although we didn't stay at the hotel on this occasion, we decided to have drinks in the lounge area, where we were welcomed and dealt with in a friendly and relaxed manner, not the stuffy corporate manner like some hotels I have stayed in previously. My business partner and I must say how impressed we were with the hotel and your staff and one member of staff in particular who we felt went the extra mile with her very attentive and delightful service, and that was a young lady by the name of Kat. She completely bowled us over with her friendly banter and enthusiasm while explaining the green/sustainable ideology of the hotel, and told us how much she enjoyed working at Qbic. We liked her style of service which echoed the venue style as in it wasn't pushy but friendly, relaxed and professional.
A little unsure what to expect of the hotel but our expectations were definitely exceeded. A great start to our holiday as we saw the hotel as we exited the tube stop and then had a hassle free check in (an early check too). We stayed in a fun room and the size of the room for the price was fantastic for London with huge windows making the room really light (but the heavy duty curtains meant it stayed dark when we wanted it to! ). The beds were really comfortable and I loved the quirky dressing table. We LOVED it!
Excellent location, very close to Algate East on the less busy end of Brick Lane. Room was excellent, great attention to detail. Breakfast wasn't as great as others have mentioned (I may have gone at the busy period) however items were not replenished quickly. Experienced far superior breakfast outside of UK. Other than breakfast the hotel, location and room were all excellent and I would return again.
Whenever we go to London we go direct to the QBIC. The treatment is excellent and fulfill 100% the phrase "the customer comes first". We exchanged a day of breakfast, we managed a taxi to the airport at 4 in the morning. The facilities are great, the rooms are super modern and the location unbeatable. You have the metro and the bus in the same door. The area is quiet and connects to Brick LN and the side-to-market Old Spitafields. I recommend it to all who go to London for their prices and for the above mentioned.
I love the Qbic concept and green/sustainable aspect of the all-in-one cube room, which is better than it sounds. Design of bed and bath and electrics all contained in a mod-styled "cube" that can be installed in any space. There are surrounding accessories, of course — couch, amoire, clothes pegs, art — but the super natural comfy bed and thoughtfully designed bedside electronics chargers — in London, multiple USB, French and GB outlets, switches for bath, central, and mood lighting — all appreciated. Enjoyed hanging in East End and quick access to underground direct line to other parts of London. Overall hotel deco at times tries a bit too hard but never interferes with overall design effect. I was afraid it'd be too young for me — it wasn't, but I'd recommend not alienating hip older demographic in effort to attract the younger. This was a good place to stay for any age and restaurant staff were great. Kudos. I'll be back. I'd book the one in Amsterdam but it's too far away from my conference locale : (Another time!
Had a great stay. The room was hip and clean with a big bathroom. Good location and very friendly staff. Highly recommended.
We were a group of 6 people staying 3 nights for a reunion event nearby, and so we tried Qbic, being conveniently located. The thing that really made us remember the hotel was the staff. Not only were they very friendly, but they were also very relaxed and calm. The way they greet you when you come in, or go out, also made an impression on us. And the bar area was a great place for us to chill out and start our day with a few beers.
Staff, rooms, service, bar, design — everything great. Quality of food is very good but breakfast buffet a bit disappointing for the price. Location is not the nicest area in London but great for traveling around the city. Close to London city airport and close to city center.
The hotel was quirky in design which we loved. It was clean and the staff were very attentive. The rooms were really comfy and spacious. The hotel is located just a few minutes from aldgate east tube which makes travelling anywhere easy. I'd definitely return.
An oasis of calm amongst a bustling city. Great Service and attention to detail. We will definitely return. A huge thank you to Roberto the Restaurant Manager and his staff who made us feel very welcome.
My room was interesting and comfortable. I loved the bathroom — spacious, light and clean. The location was perfect for the purpose of my stay. The car park was essential. The information from the hotel before I arrived was helpful.
Our stay at the Qbic Hotel London was the best experience we have ever had during all of our international travels. We've previously stated at 3 and 4 star resorts and properties with Marriott, Hilton, and Hyatt properties in Rome, Paris, and all throughout the United States and Mexico, and the Qbic Hotel London beats them all hands down. From the wonderful and courteous staff to the very responsive and tidy housekeeping team, our stay was memorable and we will no doubt be booking another stay at the London property. Cheers to a great team and effort at the Qbic Hotel London, and we are not than happy and ecstatic with out time in London.
We enjoyed very much our stay at Qbic Hotel in London. The location was really handy, walking distance from Liverpool Street Station (which goes to the airport) and other undergrounds, so very well connected to every part of the city. The Hotel was very modern and new, we love the design and how funny and eco friendly was. I love the bathroom, the bed and the towels super fluffy! The staff was also very nice and helpful. The only thing is that the room was a bit small but it didn't matter to us, it was totally worth it for the price. I will highly recommend it.
Very nice rooms, practical and cosy. Loved the free coffee and tea machine on our floor … and the coffee was good too! Staff was pleasant enough. Nice breakfast buffet, though would have appreciated freshly squeezed orange juice. The location of the hotel is great : convenient for tube and buses to central London and close to City for business meetings. Good Turkish and Pakistany restaurants in the area. Walking distance to the Tower of London and London bridge. We loved our stay at the Qbic, and look forward to coming back!
We stayed at the Qbic hotel for one night for a concert at the Alexandra Palace. The location was great for this as the hotel is close to the tube. Straight away we loved the design, the lobby has a real wow factor and this continued when we saw our room. We stayed in the fun room and loved the space and design. The bed is very cleverly designed with power points located for charging phone, laptop etc. The bed itself was so comfy and as our room looked out on to a side street there was no street noise, a bonus for London! The bathroom was again a fab design and super clean! The only criticism was the shower, which design was great but lacked power. Overall, we loved our stay at Qbic and will definitely be returning on our next trip to London!
The Hotel has a nice Design, the rooms are clean and we immediately felt good. Friendly staff with good service, water, coffee and tea are on the floor available for free. Unfortunately, Wade is the noise from other rooms a bit disturbing. We would love to come back.
Fantastic Hotel — love the vibe, the staff are friendly, the rooms are quirky & cool, the food is great — LOVE EVERYTHING! Great place to stay for work or pleasure, have been a number of times and keep coming back — Tube less than a minute walk away and the city & Brick Lane on your door step. Really comfortable beds and love the 'Stop the Water While Using Me' product range in the bathrooms. Great quality free tea & coffee available on each floor. I can highly recommend this great hotel. See you again soon Qbic.
Good location, close to Aldgate east underground. Very pleasant, friendly and helpful staff. We felt very welcome. Extremely unusual decor! Very quirky, but fun, great way of recycling objects. Lovely comfy bed. Nice easy to use shower in wetroom. Large, lovely fluffy towels. Very clean, reasonably priced hotel. Liked the free tea/coffee machines and the fresh bottled water available. Ideal for a short stay. Thought the breakfast a bit overpriced as it was only a continental buffet, did not include cooked items, but you could order individual breakfasts at separate prices. Would definitely stay again.
A great hotel, nice rooms and a fantastic location. All at a very reasonable price. Aldgate east station was just a few minutes walk making it very easy to get around London. Will definitely be returning next time we are in London.
Good quality for the price (£60/night) very well located if you like the East of London.
Dutch people should run everything. This place is a delight. Simple and spare but with the right investments in comfort (beds, baths, towels). We loved the lobby bar for a coffee or a late night drink, and found the hotel staff to be incredibly helpful and accommodating, even lending us an electrical adapter for the wall plugs. Because it's Dutch run they of course have free bikes, but you'll need a strong constitution to bike in central London as a tourist. The location is unbeatable, I'll probably never need to stay anywhere else in London.
Lovely rooms with fun, quirky decor. Bed was ginormous and extremely comfortable… so much so that it was a bit dangerous, because I didn't want to leave it. Ever. ;-) Perhaps the best feature of this hotel was the incredibly friendly staff. More than just being helpful, there were also quite engaging and funny. They made me feel right at home and sent me out the door smiling. All in all, I would give Qbic my best recommendation.
This is a really good place to stay in. The mattress and pillows and very comfortable to sleep in. The staff is very friendly, the place is super clean and well decorated. They make good efforts on being sustainable, from the decorations to the shower and bed. There's free fast Wi-Fi everywhere in the building and free tea/coffee on every floor. I highly recommend.
Wouldn't recommend as a business traveler. Although there was a contraption to hang shirts and suits on, there was nowhere to unpack the rest of my items to. Room was very clean but just felt a bit 'sterile'. Tea and coffee making facilities were a long (well, about 120m) walk away. On site restaurant is not part of the hotel so you can't add meals/drinks etc to your room meaning claiming back expenses is just that bit more troublesome. Lift very slow, stairs quicker, once I found them.
Modern clean hotel with spacious rooms (a rarity in London). Every room has a "cube" that includes bed and bath. In the corridor of each floor is a free distributor of coffee and tea. The stay in this hotel was perfect. A short walk from the metro and a short walk (15 min) to reach the Tower Bridge.
We stayed at Qbic Hotel for our joint birthday weekend treat. On arrival at reception the staff were very friendly and gave us both free breakfasts as a treat. We'd arrived early and assumed we wouldn't be able to check in yet but hoped to leave our luggage while we had a wander around London, no problem… they were ready for us and happily let us check in early! Everything about Qbic hotel was fun and casual. The emphasis was on all the right things you'd want from a good hotel… Friendly staff, very good food (breakfast being a wonderful selection of freshly baked and made on the premises produce) The kitchen was open plan within the restaurant, which in itself was quirky and relaxing. Although being a new, modern and very funky hotel, it still had a calm atmosphere away from the hubbub of the streets. The bed had a wonderful comfortable mattress, the bathroom was spacious and well lit with a very nice rainfall effect shower. Outside our room in the corridor were tea and coffee making facilities, good "Tea Pigs" tea at that! We couldn't fault our stay at all. On checking out we were also delighted to be told we were not going to be charged for parking either as part of our birthday treat courtesy of Qbic. Lastly, for anyone looking to visit East London Qbic hotel is in the ideal location to visit all the local attractions.
A hotel modern, youthful and fun. The rooms are very colorful and spacious. The location of the hotel is great, and it's about 5 minutes from the Metro Aldgate East where the District Line that will take you to the most interesting areas of London. In addition, if you are a Sunday there, you can go to Brick Lane and Old Spitalfields Market, is a 10-minute walk from the hotel.
It was a fun hotel to stay in mainly because of the eye candy and furniture design. It's definitely different from your standard cookie-cutter chain hotels or ruffled-out B&Bs. Very clean, comfortable beds and the staff were wonderful However, with an edgy and fun theme, there were some usability issues. In the larger rooms, there were no plugs in the bathroom so that when you want to blow dry your hair (or shave) you'd have to do it elsewhere in the room. There were these red strings that were meant to be tugged for emergencies, but they weren't properly labeled for those who aren't immediately familiar with those nuances. But overall, it was a fun and comfortable experience along with its price. Would stay there again and recommend to friends.
Excellent hotel. Easy check in/check out. Room spotlessly clean with a really comfortable bed and pillows. Nice shower room. Only slight downside is the en-suite floor slightly creaks making getting up in the night not as quiet as it might be! Nice park right outside the hotel and easy walk to Aldgate East tube station. Would definitely stay here again.
Really funky and quirky hotel. Loved the room, it was spotlessly clean, decor was fab, however room was bit small but suited us. Again the bathroom was bright, clean and the rainfall shower was just what I needed. It's a really central location but we slept soundly, heard no outside noise. Bed was very comfy and spacious. We didn't have breakfast here or use bar facilities so can't comment. The notes attached to the clip boards in the lifts are a really nice idea, gave us a giggle. I had booked a room with no window as it was cheaper but was nicely surprised when there was one there. I hope to visit again!
Excellent location, excellent price, quirky room design — loved it… Quiet room too. Really comfortable bed. Friendly and helpful staff and lovely breakfast too. I would highly recommend this hotel and I intend on staying here again whenever I visit London.
Excellent stay. Perfect location, friendly staff, nice, modern and comfortable romos, great food. Overall brilliant atmosphere. Highly recommend.
We are very pleased to have found the Qbic Hotel! It is a funky little place, just a stone's throw from Aldgate East Tube Station, so it's very well-connected to all the sights and sounds of the 'Big Smoke'. Our room was very generous in size for a central London hotel. We had a king-size bed, which was extremely comfortable and a sofa for serious lounging. The bathroom was huge! We were on the 4th floor, and despite the fact the hotel is in the middle of a very noisy and busy part of the city, we did not hear a sound! A peaceful night's sleep in the centre of London is possible! The whole place is really quirky and modern in design, as you can see from the photographs on the website. The staff were very friendly and helpful at check-in and check-out. The price is unbelievably good value for money, especially in our capital city. We will be back!
It was started with a warm welcome, the staff were happy and very helpful, the room we had was fantastic, such a great modern feel to it. The bed was huge and so comfortable we didn't want to get up the next morning! We had an evening meal there and I can highly recommend the food. 10 out of 10 all round, fantastic!
From the moment I stepped inside the door I was made to feel welcome by the staff. No hassle check-in is very refreshing, especially after a long journey. The open atmosphere of the bar and dining area is very modern and relaxed, again the staff are very responsive and welcoming. I especially liked the room, which was very clean and tidy, well above the star rating that the hotel has currently. Thanks for a great experience at Qbic. best Ged.
It was a great experience in a very nice hotel located close to Shroedritch and Brick Lane. The bed is incredibly comfortable and the rooms are really nice decorated. The only inconvenient is that, in our room the pipe noise was quite loud during the night probably due to a poor isolation and installation. We were in Room 002, I dont know if this would be the same for the other rooms.
Could be because I am Dutch and the Hotel has been setup by Dutch people, but staying at Qbic was like receiving a present. Everything felt like real eyecandy. Beautiful stuff everywhere starting a creative process in our minds. The only thing we would do differently is the Continantal breakfast. The menu had so many nice breakfast ideas that we would go for those instead of the Continantal Breakfast we took together with the room. But that's not because the Continantal Breakfast was not o. K.
Our return to Qbic London City (this time with a window) was really just so great. Value for money is right up there with a super cool room, great location, and friendly staff. I'm hoping to stay here again very soon.
A superb hotel, centrally located and with ample parking! Great value for money, stylish rooms and a restaurant offering great meals. What makes this hotel stand out from all the others is the attitude of the staff, they went out of their way to ensure we had a relaxed stay, extending our parking and arranging early breakfasts. This is what a hotel should be like!
Great location. Modern, clean and spacious. Friendly staff.
Lovely hotel, with fun and clever décor. Lovely friendly staff.
Qbic is not your average hotel nor your home. They live up to that promise and my stay there was as pleasant as the staff was friendly and the rooms were different from regular hotels. One gripe: the espresso was awful. Probably brewed too hot and this too bitter.
Outstanding — great service, friendly and helpful staff, great food (order the ribs), superb value for the location and overall brilliant atmosphere made for a fantastic stay. Will definitely stay here again.
A beautiful and charming hotel. Well located and communicated with an attentive and friendly staff. Very original rooms, with exquisitely decorated and a few extraordinary mattresses. We will repeat.
Stayed for almost 2 week for both business and travel purposes. For now the best hotel I had in London. Very friendly and helpful staff. Will give guidance on city and general hotel assistance. Will soon have canteen or cafeteria (some construction on the ground floor) If you sick and tired of old-fashioned dusty hotels, go for Qbic.
Friendly, good location, well connected both by bus and metro. Coffee machines throughout the hotel, rich chocolate and free water at any time. Details such as invitation to sushi and wine glass 3 afternoons per week. Flexibility and friendliness in dealing and schedules and constant good care. New and clean facilities, a common area type University Hall very funny where people take coffee and plans to end your day or simply spend some pleasant time listening to background music, make this site a great choice.
Really amazing concept, the rooms are essentially a cube and they've stressed a highly efficient use of space. Everything is ultra-modern and ultra-cool, and I loved the TV at the foot of the bed! I also loved the idea that breakfast comes in the form of a doggy bag filled with goodies (smoothies, fruit and breakfast bars), left by your door in the morning, so you can grab and go! Really impressed overall — it honestly didn't feel like a budget hotel.
You really get a good value for the price you pay at the Qbic Hotel. It's different to all I saw until now in terms of Hotels. The rooms have a lot of little lovely details in terms of design. The bed is really good quality, also the shower an the rest of the bathroom is very nice. The lobby is really nice to hang out, do some work. The best thing of all is free Wi-Fi. Also the breakfast is rich for 7.50. On every floor is a coffee machine offering complementary coffee or tea.
Promised grab and go breakfast — Didnt receive it, nothing else given, was asked to pay for £7.50 for it Alright staff — checked in and the machines were not working, but staff helped me. However during breakfast, staff were just ignoring me and talking to themselves. Promised a courtyard view room — it is a broken down dirty car park. Coffee machine on 1st floor said it had to be cleaned so I had to go all the way downstairs for coffee which isn't good. Had a room on 1st floor, could hear the toilet/showers from above. They claim it is sound proof, it isn't. The designs of the lobby is nice with the fireplace, music and designs BUT there was food on the floor left from breakfast, stains on table and I couldnt get the grd floor loo to flush. Overall disappointed with my stay, had better expectations from the photos. Will not recommend, you literally get less then what you pay for. Will stay at local Ibis down the road. You atleast know what you will recieve.
Hmmm. Just don't think I am hip and trendy enough for this type of hotel. There was a sliding door on the bathroom which, when closed opened up a glass side panel which meant that your companion could see you sat on the loo! Call me old fashioned but I like a little bit of privacy. What's more, the design of the room means that the bathroom is in a cube right behind your head in bed which means that not only can you very clearly hear the loo flush (sounds like a rainforest shower over your head) and the taps run, but also those of everyone else in the rooms above you. There were also smaller issues, like not much space to hang clothes, no desk to work from and a cold floor. It does look good though, and I like that they have tried to do something new and different. And I liked the coffee and tea stations on each floor. I just don't think I am their target market.

Just had such a wonderful little escape here with the kids and they loved it! Staff super friendly. Loved the cinema room. We cannot wait to come back!
