Spoken to in a very rude insolent manner by the receptionist when I asked him to call me a cab.
He told me there was one outside and I explained that was taken, he told me the black car behind was also a cab and I said no I wanted a black cab he shrugged his shoulders and said “well that’s your choice but I’ve told you to take that one” I remarked great customer service to which he then snarled at me and muttered under his breath.
I complained to the duty manager the following day who assured me I would receive a follow up once he had spoken to the GM.
I heard nothing so I messaged via the page and despite the message bring read still no response.
Is this really how you treat your customers? Sheer arrogance.
Having read other reviews it appears manners and lack of customer care is the norm for this place.

Will change my rating after the problem is solved Stayed last week in the hotel. In the first room there was broken glass all over the floor. No idea, got a new room. Everything fine. But: unfortunately I forgot my shoes. (room502), called the hotel last Thursday. They wrote down everything, no feedback. The shoes can't be anywhere else. They were not in my suitcase. … But breakfast was excellent and all employees kind and helpful… So please help me… Want to change the rating to "everything was perfect"

The staff was wonderful! We stayed in a one bedroom suite and it was quite lavish. The bed was a bit too firm, but the other furniture was great. I will definitely stay at this chain again in the future.

I was pleasantly surprised. I would stay here again. You won’t get very many smiling faces at from the hotel staff, but the service was good. The English breakfast I could do without. It was over priced and not to many options to suit my taste buds. There is a spa inside and a bar near the entrance that serves light bites. The hotel is in a great location. We were able to get to Buckingham Palace by cab in 10-15 minutes or less. The London Eye is close as well. If you don’t want to cab it, there is always Uber it the buses near by. At check out I did have to spend a few minutes correcting some billing errors, but the quickly corrected them and I was on my way.

Too bad nobody speaks French.

Great location. Conveniently located off Queenstown Road with many buses serving the area and right in front of the beautiful Battersea Park. Very comfortable and clean room, but the staff make this such a perfect place to stay. Room rate is in line or competitive compared to what is on offer in the area. I hope I will have the chance to try the restaurant next time, and I will make sure to report on that. For now, well-done everyone! And of course, I recommend it.

Beautiful hotel, we loved our stay. It's location was great just a few steps to bus stop that took us all over, and the market shop was very handy. The staff were friendly and helpful. The pool and spa area really made our holiday relaxing. Our room was clean and well cared for by housekeeping.

Really disappointed to come to tourism with a child and hear that the pool is forbidden to children after 5pm, closing at 21H for adults.
Let's say that after a day of sightseeing, she will never go swimming, and as there is only one French channel!
One thing's for sure, we're not coming back.

Upmarket hotel, with fairly upmarket prices to match — though one of my colleagues did get a decent 'weekend deal'. Well stocked bar, but expect 'upper London prices' for a round. Quite a way from the nearest tube station, but still a good place for a few days away.

Average hotel. Bar staff could use some manners. Here's a tip: listen to your customers when they are ordering food so you don't make a fool of yourself and have to ask them to repeat everything again. When taking payment, don't slam your customer's credit card on the bar. Hand it back nicely and say 'thank you'.

I have stayed here many time since this hotel opened. The staff are very helpful and friendly, many of them remember me from previous visits. Good rooms and bathrooms. Wonderful breakfast and a relaxed evening service of quality food. We will be back again soon. Thank you all.

Went there to celebrate an anniversary. Everything was booked in advance and confirmed with the hotel, when I get to the front desk they couldn't find the booking anywhere, took more than 15 minutes, not a good start. Room for 2 adults only has 1 bath rope. Requested in advance if they are able to have any detail with my girlfriend as motive of the celebration, this was completely unmentioned as they couldn't even find the booking.

Perfect hotel and very good attention, the Metro stop is about ten minutes walk otherwise everything else perfect.

Beautiful hotel with stunning rooms. I'd most certainly stay here again. Very friendly staff and very close to nice restaurants, shops & opposite the tube station. Friendly professional staff who were very attentive.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant Tien very little offer, expensive and of mediocre quality. It is advisable to buy food in the surroundings, there is much offer and good. It is very well located, almost at the door you can rent bicycles with a credit card to move around the city, very close there is a metro mouth.

Great staff, very helpful and friendly. Restaurant was also very good, quiet but excellent food and service. Room was very comfortable and clean. Car park next door was very convenient. Sauna, steam room and swimming pool were very welcome. Only missed 5 stars because of relatively poor public transport links. Highly recommended.

A bit out of the centre of London, modern room and very clean, but mattresses to review… With a nice indoor pool and sauna to relax. Staff smiling and pleasant but not speaking a word of French… Pity for a 4

Great hotel. Comfortable rooms. The only niggle is it is not near a tube station.

Stayed overnight for an event at Battersea Evolution, so from that point location excellent. Not so good for offer places though as quite a walk from train/tube stations. Hotel rooms clean and spacious, few minor repairs needed though. Only provide basic instant coffee and tea, not even decaf or fruit tea, with 4 UHT milk jiggers (yuk! ) perhaps to persuade to buy coffee from bar? Good selection at breakfast though, with plenty of fresh coffee supplied.

I was taken here for a surprise birthday treat from the Mr for 2 nights… and I can say Pestana Chelsea Bridge hotel and spa contributed to my best birthday EVER.
From the moment we walked in we felt at home, the atmosphere n vibe was amazing, the hotel was clean, friendly staff who were on point at all times, spa treatments where amazing — everything was perfect.

What can I say… 100000% on point!

This is a really modern, comfortable hotel located just south of the river and Chelsea Bridge. I can’t really fault the hotel itself. Great service, large comfortable modern rooms. The only thing stopping me giving it 5 stars is the location. There’s no tube station within 20 minutes walk. A black cab from Victoria station will cost you around £15. Uber (for my return journey was somewhat less at £5.

After being in some very restricted and tight accommodation over the first 2 weeks of our holiday in Italy which continued on with our arranged accommodation through Viva Holidays my wife Deb made arrangements with this hotel over trip advisor and BOOM a real motel room that was not reminiscent of a nuns cell or presented like the back room of a 18th century coach station. What it had: 1. A King size bed 2. A walk in shower 3. A full size wardrobe 4. Competent staff 5. Professional Staff. 6. Staff with exceptional good manners. What a relief. Remember people you are only as good as you last review and we will certainly consider this Hotel group in our travels You Rock!

Room was nice and large, good size bath room… Not much coffee available in room. Had breakfast in the morning, it was okay buffet style… Food didn't have much heat to it.

This year alone, I have stayed in almost or over 10 hotels from here to Australia and I must say that the Pestana is one of my absolute favourite hotels I have had the pleasure of staying in. I highly recommend it in terms of value for money, location, cleanliness and ambience. Not only do I highly recommend it to all but I myself will be back.

Very nice hotel.

Stayed here last night with my husband for our wedding anniversary and to celebrate we booked a suite. All of the staff were attentive and we received excellent service from everyone we met. We had dinner and the food was delicious! we visited the spa and loved relaxing for a while. The guys in the club lounge were really nice and they made us feel extremely welcome.
The only downside with our stay was the condition of the room. The room simply hadn't been cleaned properly. The carpet in the bedroom hadn't been hoovered. There was what looked like egg on the dining table and there was dust in all corners, on lamps and on all of the side tables. The TV in the bathroom didn't work, you couldn't change the channel and the iPod docking station has an old style connection which I think most people would agree is a bit outdated now.
All in all we enjoyed our stay but I think next time we wouldn't pay the extra money for a suite.

Slow service that don't seep equipped or trained to deal with the amount of rooms they have. Breakfast left a lot to be desired. Rooms were clean and as expected.

The Hotel is disappointed, the thing which I don't like is the bathroom, it's not clean well. I inform the reception about the WC, no body wants to see brown thing from previous guests. I hate the bathroom. Also the sink is full easily. And the shower gel was almost empty! They didn't replace new one for us on the arriving day! Finally, when I made my booking I asked for high levels rooms but they put us in the second floor! I hope they take care of these things! We have 12 days left in this hotel.

I loved it as it was a treat and a special one too. Very clean place and excellent friendly service from all they staff so top marks to them. Compliments to the chef on the evening of 30th of July 2017. I must say if your stay comes with a free bottle of prosecco you won't be disappointed it was a very good bottle absolutely refreshing! The food was delicious. As for the Spa area it is a very relaxing area even though it is small They have a small pool, steam room and sauna which are really well kept and quite clean. There is a water machine available and refreshing teas upon request. Overall it was an excellent overnight stay.

Lovely room, it is very spacious and clean. Furnished with a large bed and sofa. Bath and shower. However the room lacked basic necessities like an ironing board and needs to be requested. I had an issue where I was informed that they 'do not have any spare. The issue was resolved within an hour but only after some chasing, leaving a sour taste on the stay and me late for work. The hotel has a gym & spa, the gym itself it small and lacking in equipment and weights (10kg max). The location of the hotel is rather poor as it is a distance away from any major underground route and requires a walk to get to anything in a station but the stop is not too far. There is also a garden park directly next to the hotel which is great on a sunny day.

From the moment of arrival to the moment of departure, Pestana Chelsea Hotel provides excellent comfort and service. The room was clean and bright with a lovely shower and fluffy pillows. The complementary facilities were beautiful. The staff were as helpful and friendly as could be — even allowing me to take an extra croissant from breakfast to eat on the coach home. Would recommend highly!

We stayed over the easter weekend and had a fantastic time. Staff were all so helpful and facilities were fantastic. Our room was great. Clean n very spacious. And I loved the decor especially all the beautiful large lamps. The hotel was busy but the clientele were respectful of others that may be sleeping and there was little to no night time noise. Parking was great too. Would certainly go back next time we visit London and would definitely recommend to friends and family. Thank you for a great stay.

Room was spatious and clean as expected. No major issues, really. Impersonal, but a good choice if you wanna be near Chelsea.

I usually stay in hotels in higher price ranges, but I wanted to try the Pestana Hotel because of it's location (Chelsea) and the Wellness and Spa. Over all the Pestana is okay, but some of the staff were really disinterested and unfriendly. Three examples: The first point freaked me out was that there is no possibility for the hotel to book from your credit card without a pin number (even though I had my passport with me and it was the same card I used to book the hotel) — I was already in a looot of different hotels but this problem never crossed my way. Because of this incident we wanted to change our foreign cash into British Pounds, but the reception staff said it's not possible. After I got angry and I explaned the situation of the credit card, he unwillingly changed the money (but max 100pounds each) and controlled the money intensly (as if we would be criminals?! ). Point two is the Spa and Wellness. After our weird arrival we wanted to relax and asked for the different treatments as massages. The guy from the reception gave us a cheap looking flyer with the treatments — the prices are unbelievable high. I live in Zurich Switzerland and I love the spend money to pamper myself so I would be okay with paying a bit more than others, but I get some good stuff in return. But the prices of Pestana massages and treatments are not in any way justified — and by the way it makes no sense to me to offer 25min massages (no one can relax in this short amount of time).

Very nice and stylish hotel! The rooms are modern and clean. A little bit far from public transport but still well located in London. The quality of the food and drinks is ok but still better than many other places in the UK. The personnel is very kind and helpful.

Nice hotel, good sized rooms. Bar didn't k ow how to make basic cocktails like a Tom Collins. Breakfast was average, room service was over priced, claimed the "card machine was broken and I had to pay with cash" then I said I didn't have cash and suddenly the card machine appeared!

Other than the view (train station) spa gym and the room was great.

Excellent rooms which are very spacious (stayed for 3 days in a 3 person room). Literally next to the Battersea Park. Not in the centre of the tourist attraction but still close to everything you need. Cons: The sofa bed was not comfortable and the bathroom had a window with the curtains on the outside, which was very odd. Otherwise it was a very pleasant stay.

The location of the hotel is great, it is on the south side of Chelsea Bridge next to Battersea Power Station and Battersea Park. The hotel was central and walkable to Sloane Square, a favorite for great food and shopping. I was exhausted from my flight, when I arrived the room wasn't ready. My suggestion, don't book a flight that arrives before 2 pm. The morning reception workers were not as friendly as the afternoon/evening reception workers. The morning reception workers were a bit snobby, seemed to be put out with questions. The room was clean and comfortable. I did eat the breakfast buffet in the mornings. The food was excellent, along with the service. The evening menu was expensive and limited choices for dinner. The service wasn't as good as the morning staff. The dinner selections were average at best, as well as very expensive for what you got. I stayed at the hotel for seven nights, definitely will stay there on my next trip.

This is a great hotel on the south side of Chelsea Bridge next to Battersea Power Station and Battersea Park. The hotel is very clean and plush as you would expect from a four star London hotel. We had a great view of Battersea Park and South West London in the distance. The room was really quiet and the bed was very comfortable. There was tea and coffee making facilities and a TV with an on demand Film service. The bathroom had a large shower and bath included, however the window between the bedroom and bathroom was a little weird for me and my partner! There was a blind to pull down so was fine. We didn't eat at the hotel, as we had arrange to go into central London for dinner/breakfast. The nearest tube stations where a little walk, closest being Sloan Square (District/Circle Line) a 20 min walk or Vauxhall (Victoria Line) which is about 30 min walk. Taxis where available from reception if you needed them. Underground Parking was also available if you decided to drive in. Overall my partner and I had a great time and would definitely visit again.

We went there with my whole family – parents, grandparents and children. The kids loved the pool area a lot, which is not a surprise. My parents liked the steam rooms the most, and me and my husband became fans of the saunas. We all were pleased with this particular family vacation of ours. Many thanks to the friendly staff.

My boyfriend gave me a gift certificate to this spa centre for my birthday and only now I found the time to visit it. I’ve never been to a spa before and was more than impressed. Well, I have nothing to compare it with as far as facilities but the staff was really friendly. I had a relaxing massage and the lady that did it was very careful while doing it. I told her to be gentle since this was the first massage I ever had.

Paid just over 100 GBP on lastminute as a secret hotel ("chelsea bridge pearl"), and for that money it is a fanstastically good hotel. Modern, really nicely finished, decently sized rooms, comfy beds, awesome rain shower. I also loved the view from my room, but I'm a sucker for Battersea Power Station, so it's very much a matter of personal taste. And while it's *right* beside the very busy train tracks running into Victoria Station, the glazing and soundproofing meant you would never know.
