We bought a bottle of wine for £22 at the bar (staff said it should have been £22 but all the price lists said £21, so I think they just liked the idea of charging an extra £1) The following day the price lists still said £21, though we didn't buy another bottle as the first bottle tasted like alcohol hand wash. It certainly didn't taste like wine. The plastic glasses were particularly horrible. Otherwise, the hotel is fairly generic. It's fairly capable, has bars and conference rooms, and has escalators between floors so you are not stuck queueing for elevators.

Amazing stay and lovely staff. Rooms always perfectly cleaned. Excellent breakfasts included. Perfect location to visit London. We stayed 3 nights in an executive room and absolutely no problem, except the lifts : 2 of them were out of order… A bit long to go up to the 9th floor. Thanks to Novotel for the service, we'll come back!

Good hotel with an excellent breakfast included. Hammersmith Station is nearest (about a 10 minute walk). Excellent bar and menu for snacks in the lobby. Staff is very friendly. A little far out of you want to be in the middle of the tourist spots of London. But the value makes the tube ride worth it. Aprox a 20 minute ride to Victoria Station.

Excellent hotel where I stayed for a week for a professional Conference. Just missing a pool but the surrounding area and the edges of the thamise are perfect for runners.

Very nice hotel in the center of London… little reassuring to get in late at night by transport, especially from Hammersmith station as many zonards…
Huge hotel in comparison to the size of the breakfast room, which explains the 45 min waiting for lunch from our last day in London… very bad.
Good bedding but some elements of the bathroom seem old-fashioned, especially in the bathtub.
The Organization at our arrival was deplorable… 100 passengers and the only person in the reception responsible for handing us the access cards called room services for each bedroom in order to know if it was ready! You should not be in a hurry to go visit the city!
Given the remoteness of the Center and the standard that I find average, the rates charged and displayed in the room are very high. Being part of an organized trip we were not concerned but they are dissuasive for a new trip to London.

The Novotel is a nice hotel with good size and comfortable rooms. Its location is a little far from the tourist area of London but the train for like three blocks from the hotel. It is a good option if one does not want to pay the high rates of the most central hotels. Around the hotel there are some restaurants where you can have breakfast as an alternative to the one they serve in the hotel. At night there are not many options.

The hotel is a short walk from the Metro in a very quiet area (about 15 minutes to reach the center of London) ideal for family stays.
Very attentive staff, the rooms are clean and quite spacious. The breakfast buffet is very hearty short I highly recommend it.

Decent location, very dated, staff hit or miss. We stayed on the 8th floor, having just gotten engaged. Our initial receptionist, Serena, was quite pleasant. Our room ended up being very small, smelled very stale, and was dated/old with dirty rug and corridors. Lights also made loud humming noise. Talked to another receptionist and she was very disinterested. Not very pleasant and didn't really seem like she made much of an effort. We were able to swap rooms after waiting in our room for help for a good while, but the second room was the same as the first… I'd recommend just paying a bit more for a nicer stay at another hotel.

Wildly overpriced. Walls are thin as paper so if you want a good night sleep, bring earplugs. Many of the rooms are a long walk from the lifts. If you are disabled, make sure to request a room closer to the lifts. Overall the service was pleasant and rooms clean. The best feature was probably the bed — surprisingly comfortable for a hotel bed. Worst part: cleaners walking in on my morning shower. Latch the door when you're in the room.

Very good hotel, very comfortable rooms have very good size compared to the average are a couple of square meters larger, the rooms have a double bed and a part a sofa bed, a table and chairs, also has a freego bar and a coffee, the staff is very friendly and they speak Spanish, the location is very good and q is two blocks from a subway station and one from the train station.

One night stay in London and the Novotel was grand. We had a family room which had more than sufficient space for us. Although we didn't use all the facilities those that we did were excellent. The bar in the evening had a fantastic barman, sorry I forget his name, … We paid for breakfast to be included and that was well worth it. A self service arrangement that allows you to choose from a vast array of items, cooked breakfast to continental and many other options in between. I would definitely stay with them again.

Me and my fiancee stayed at Novotel West London for 2nights. The staff were fantastic. Marjorie who works at the hotel arrange to make our stay extra special by decorating our room in a 'Harry Potter' theme as we got engaged that week and were in London to see the Stage show (HP and the Cursed Child). The beds are comfy, the rooms are a good size, and the en suite was modern. Also the breakfast buffet was at a good standard and set us right for the day! The hotel is a 3min walk to Hammersmith tube station, so it has easy access to all parts of the city. All in all I would recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone coming to London.

Clean and nice clean bathroom but no hot water in the morning full breakfast, staff not speaking French but available. There are two restaurant a bar and a gym.

Not the best Novotel, you're better off either saving money and staying at an Ibis or looking for better hotels in the price range. Very basic room, although the location is very good for London Olympia and the close the underground station. Breakfast buffet was excellent. Wish rooms would improve.

Room small but clean, otherwise all the rest top staff, Metro to 2 minutes, breakfast, bar staff especially the boss Even too nice, he made us taste all his future cocktails that he will put on the map. 3/4 people speak French correctly.

I went for an evening event, run alongside a expo. The venue was nice & professional, definitely a good selection of venue, especially considering the sheer number of people. The food was fine & the staff were incredibly friendly for the event. They were a bit useless away from the event itself though.

A very complete hotel, with all the services very correct, the accomodation can improve when assigning rooms and avoid to deliver some without having cleaned it. Likewise it was a very good experience.

Courteous staff and check-in process was quick. Rooms were clean and ample amenities (in-room safe, water, ironing option) for a business visit. A good movable desk to work, comfy beds, room service was efficient. Minor issue was after check-in there seemed to be an assumption that customer would know, although I had to figure out where the lifts were. Breakfast was British style and options were great. I liked the vegetarian sausages but the hash browns were a bit oily. Access to Gym on the 1st floor with a tread-mill was perfect for some indoor running on a rainy day.

Great location, close to the Metro. Very friendly staff and many Italians… Good food… Carpets to renew between floors.

Lobby chic rooms and hallway especially carpets could tolerate renovation work… Beds are ok though…

Surprised at how nice this hotel was given its rather unassuming location. Very well sound insulated so that the busy A4 doesn't disturb you and yet it is a very convenient location with Hammersmith bus and tube right next door. Nicely equipped rooms as well. G ready value choice for central London.

Hotel conveniently located on the bus and Metro lines to join the centre and Heathrow Airport. Nice breakfast Buffet Courteous and helpful staff. Nice rooms. Only black dot warped bedding asking for a change.

The place is nice and comfortable. Unfortunately there is never a maintenance staff available. The reception staff never greets you or shows kindness.

Good price/performance ratio. Staff are very nice. The breakfast buffet was adequate. And the room was also very nice.

The Novotel London West is in a great location, a five minute walk to the Hammersmith tube station. My superior room was a decent size, but with a small but practical bathroom. The reception staff were very pleasant. The only disappointment was the breakfast, it appears they have to deal with a huge number of clientele so they provide an efficient service but with medium quality. The coffee was terrible, there was no muesli or granola, and the bacon was poor. Overall a good weekend stay, but for the price I would have liked a better breakfast.

I loved it, I think it is very difficult to find something better at that price and in London. You have the Metro "nearby" and allows you to go downtown in a few minutes.

I am currently in this establishment and as my compatriots I did not find speakers speaking French and it surprised me.
Have you thought about contacting French hotel schools to take interns? My daughter goes to internships abroad during her course.
For everything else, cleanliness, room, staff sympathy, equipment it's perfect.

Good hotel for sightseeing in London. Well located close to Metro and bus stops. Good breakfast buffet. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Very friendly and attentive to all the doubts we had in our week in London.

The staff was very friendly and extremely competent. We felt very comfortable and really welcomed with all the questions was helped a very good, possibility to pick up the suitcases later after the checkout very uncomplicated, good or great breakfast close to the underground station Hammersmith of course very advantageous.

The location of the hotel near Hammersmith is OK. It is very noisy to the hallway and to the neighbor. Mattress is very hard. Staff not particularly friendly, some with language problems. Breakfast is OK.

Great service. Diego checked us in and was very helpful in helping us get to know the neighborhood and transportation around. Our stay was great, had good drinks at the bar and breakfast was very good too. Room was clean and comfortable. Location, so close to Hammersmith underground station is excellent. Safe neighborhood too.

Very nice 1 night stay. Very good breakfast, Always topped up. Rooms clean and tidy. Although only a plug on 1 side of the bed, and this plug did not work properly. Plenty of other plugs around the room. 2 hairdryers to choose from. And good shower gel and shampoo provided. Nice late check out time. Overall a very relaxing experience.

The bed was made badly, with a blood stain on the pillow was not changed the cover but only the pillow flipped when we returned to the hotel after 0h we were denied drinks in the bar area, although everyone else still had drinks in front of them. It was rather offered to buy us through the Roomservice and then consume these drinks below (which we agreed to do), unfortunately we were then left standing, no one came!
For breakfast I was lovingly popped a cup without saucer and teaspoon for tea, when I wanted to get the missing utensils myself then this was not possible!

It is located in a quiet area and excellently served by public services, breakfast is varied and plentiful, the only drawback found (annoying noise in the room due to a vibration of the air conditioning system) was solved in the arc of 10 minutes from the alert.
What about… not even striving we can find a negative aspect of our stay!

Unfortunately the stay was characterized by small negative events (having made an upgrade I was entitled to water and Nespresso coffee, but every day I never received what I was entitled to: The Water bottles were never 4 as the occupants of the room But 2 or 3 and the capsules very often were not left and even one day were placed in the capsule holder of the capsules already used). Finally, and this was the worst event, was subtracted from our room a pole of my husband. The hotel staff, even if we are promising compensation, has not yet done anything to date.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Hotel near the metro and equipped with all the comforts. Only flaw for us Italians is always the same, the lack of the bidet in the bathroom and then the fact that, having the basic room, in this, there are not all the bathroom accessories we are accustomed to in the Italian 4-star hotels. Let's say that all in all it went well but that with some little more foresight you could do even better.

As the title says the West London Novotel is a pleasant business hotel. I used to stay here often when I wanted to use my car when on business in London, in more recent years I have tended to use the train so stay in Central London. The rooms at Hammersmith are better now than they were a few years ago but still needing a bit of care and updating. Nothing major, and everything was very clean. My room was well equipped in terms of desk space and the TV and aircon were satisfactory. Having a large car park is useful for when you need the car for flexibility, but the charges are quiet high to park, and the room rates are almost the same as Central London, so if travelling alone the train is possibly cheaper when you factor in fuel and the parking charge.

Rooms very comfortable, staff excellent. Stayed for a convention and the staff really threw themselves into it and were generally quite brilliant. I ate in the Lounge Bar which had a fairly limited menu but the food was good. Had Thai curry — not overly spicy, but very tasty (though my companion felt there were too many mushrooms). We could order drinks at our table which was very nice — shame there were no real ales, unless you count John Smith's… Didn't try the main restaurant so can't comment on that.

The staff at check-in were very helpful as we had 2 reservations which they sorted so we could stay in 1 room rather than moving. The room itself was a decent size and the bed was very comfy, however our room was on the side of the hotel overlooking the very busy dual carriage way which could trouble light sleepers (especially the sirens) but we were mostly too tired to notice. We had an issue with the plumbing that was sorted by the time we returned to the room the first day, however cleaning staff etc around the hotel seemed to mumble/ignore guests in the corridors. Breakfast is plentiful and varied, again staff here are hit and miss — the greeters are very friendly but it depends who you get for the rest of the time, some are efficient and friendly, others aren't. We found the lifts to be an issue — reception being on the first floor sometimes meant it was quicker to get in a lift and go down and back up rather than wait to just go up, a bit quirky really. Overall this hotel has its pros and cons but if you want a comfy bed and a decent breakfast to set you up for a day at a convention at the Olympia (a 10 minute walk down the road) — like we did, then this should be just fine.

A little confused at first trying to get in as the old side steps were boarded off for building works on an adjacent site. The hotel itself was good as usual. I was impressed with the check in team, despite a large conference party checking in when I arrived they were quick, pleasant and efficient. Room was clean and comfortable and the air con worked well. Breakfast was lovely and again, despite the large volumes of diners caused by the conference the waiting time was kept to a minimum, tables were cleared quickly and fresh food on a constant supply. Overall a very pleasant stay.

Good bed and good breakfast. Soundproofing needs work. Lousy fridge. Terrible in-room Wi-Fi.

Good secure car parking. But staff issues let us down due to issue with pay machine. Staff cannot deal with it in hotel you apparently have to send off to the accounts department for reimbursement. They did do it eventually but it did take awhile.

It's a tour group hotel, really. Long corridors and bare rooms. Everything works, but decor and fit a bit dated, a good refurbishment to get rid of textured walls, few pictures, fresh bathrooms, etc could really give it a lift. Breakfast pleasant, although bit of a queue sometimes. Staff are all exceptional — they are by far the best bit of the hotel, a real credit to the group. Area is not amazing, overlook a flyover, but a short walk from Hammersmith shops and the Queens Club tennis courts.

Having visited the hotel for a technology open forum and showcase, the facilities were more than ample in size. The meeting/conference rooms were not overly well adapted to projected presentations, however. The lighting above the projector screen is not independently controllable, washing the image out slightly. The lunchtime selection of sandwiches was good, with some interesting flavours. The only thing I couldn't immediately find, or at all, was the toilet — no signage to indicate it's presence on the 2nd floor.

My family, A London city trip during staying here. Hotel very nice, good bed, nice pillows, nice bathroom and very friendly staff. This hotel location very good, access to the city centre and is easily accessible. Of course I recommend this hotel.

We are just checking out of this fabulous hotel. Stayed with 2 kids and have to compliment the staff. They are truly fantastic from check-in to departure. Marija in the restaurant. Was exceptional. I would recommend this hotel for its proximity to the tube stop. The food and choice for breakfast was excellent and we ate two of the nights in the bar. Very reasonable. Keep doing what he do novotel.

Good conference facilities. Large bright room, good food (labelled, which is uncommon). The room and lobby area we used was off the beaten track, so we were undisturbed all day. I'd be happy to use this conference room again.

First time staying with the Novotel Group and I stayed here whilst attending FitPro Convention. The hotel is minutes from Hammersmith Tube and the location was great! Its a huge hotel, but very clean and tidy! Spacious Rooms… and clean and everything you need The gym is small but everything you need is there. Breakfast selection was great — so much…

Great location, easy to reach by tube or bus, lots of shops around, not too far from Heathrow and friendly staff. Anything else?

Lived in a nice hotel, this is our global tour live the final in a hotel. Room fine, clean, bed was very comfortable. The only drawback is that checkout time from the room to get our Luggage, when used too long, like a century. But apart from this, other are very good, Breakfast is best to eat food, cereals and fruits refined. The real evaluation, and recommend this shop.

The staff was very rude. Over the place was nice but the service was very bad. The staff don't speak english very difficult to communicate with them. It took them 20 minutes just to check in.

Not a bad place to stay for a business visit. Good breakfast buffet, nice lounge area, although the lounge service for me has varied from visit to visit. Rooms (and Wi-Fi) have improved vastly over the years.

The hotel from the Apollo Theater, very recently, to watch the show when I can easily walk to and from the subway close, subway direct to Heathrow Airport. Staff was very helpful, and self-help dinner good value, Breakfast was also great. I'll live.

The hotel is located in the subway station and commercial area next to it. Access to the hotel a little fun! You must be going to a floor register. I stayed here for one night, everything was great. Eat Breakfast, a lot of people to line up. The room was very comfortable. Need to be vigilant about the cab, because you may need to go to the main road, just stop. I had to drag the crate to the road.

Initially the room we were given wasn't to a standard we would expect. Phoned to reception and they were extremely helpful, they moved us and even moved our luggage for us while we were out. No dramas or complaints they were helpful and wanted to resolve. Couldn't recommend highly enough, it's when things aren't quite right that you can really judge how good people are and they were excellent. Thank you.

The reception ladies are very knowledgeable of the area. Rooms are very clean and we'll stocked. Extremely close to Hammersmith station — around a 2-3min walk. The complimentary breakfast buffet is amazing, fresh and tasty with a wide variety of food.

Location is verry good close to heathrow and city center rooms are averadge and service thay good and proffesional.

The hotel was good overall however when we arrived into the room the heating did not work. The iron did not work as well but this was sorted promptly as soon as we phoned reception. Rooms were clean and overall good. The hotel grounds were spacious and very nice overall.

Hotel is relatively central location. The area in which it is located is quite calm. Excellent communication by Bus and metro. The hotel also has an incredible look. Clean, cozy. Includes a large loft with a bar and piano in the first floor. As almost all the hotels of London, includes a welcome tea Several accesses and the line 19 for nearly ten metres.

Although somewhat away from the center, this hotel is perfectly communicated by metro and bus from Hammersmith. In fact, the lines 9 and 10 of the bus, pass through the centre of london. Regarding the hotel, cleanliness and impeccable attention. The room is spacious, welcoming, and grateful that you have a water heater and a bandejita with teas, infusions and coffee, to cook something fast there. Wi-Fi free! Yes, without cheating or cardboard, without paying anything additional, you have a connection to high speed. Hotel highly recommended. Without a doubt, I will repeat in future visits.

I would again at any time visit. Very nice staff. The Bar was sometimes in the evening, very full — here it is then at an early stage a place, falols required. Food and Drink was good and for London standards quite affordable. I can only recommend it. Next U_Bahn no 5 minutes away and 20 minutes by train you are in the centre.

Pretty nice hotel overall. My wife and I easily walked to Hyde Park and to the London Eye/Big Ben area. The breakfast buffet was extremely. English. I would stay here again.

Stay one night from 23/06 to 24/06/2013 — 2 adults and 1 child aged 14 in room 4028 on 4th floor Nearest underground station is Hammersmith which is rather convenient to go to central London or Heathrow — Many buses thereof 9 and 10 with nice routes despite permanent traffic congestion during the day, I'm wondering why buses don't have dedicated lanes like in other "civilized" countries? — Despite what we were told at reception, free Wi-Fi was available in our room — Rather small room — Bed was rather noisy — Curtains are OK, no light in the morning — Good noise insulation from the outside but rather noisy from the inside — No separate toilets which is not good when travelling with family — Toilets flush is awkward — Average bathroom which gets quickly flooded from the shower — Bathroom door is translucent so that you will wake up your family if you switch the light on — Room AC is rather quiet — Rather small and low quality LCD TV screen — Paper and pen in the room — Small safe — Minibar — Truly excellent breakfast with extended choice This hotel was a good surprise: fair price (esp. Compared with IBIS Earls Court, see separate review), interesting location with very good connections, very nice breakfast — Recommended.

Nice. But the lack of reasonable Wi-Fi felt like a trip five to ten years backwards in time. And when we first arrived the front desk assumed there had been a misunderstanding since we were two men sharing the same room.
