Great experience. Would stay here again!

We stayed here for 2 nights 12/1-12/3. Sonia at check in was very helpful and above and beyond. It’s a good start to a stay when the check is so pleasant and welcoming. The room amenities are very nice, I liked the coffee and setups in the room. Fridge and safe. Rooms a bit small but it was fine. The housekeeping is also outstanding (if you have traveled in the states lately, you know how hit or miss this aspect of traveling is — mostly miss). The M club offers breakfast in the restaurant and it was very efficient and well done with a lot of choices. Employees are helpful and all do their job well. The bar area is relaxing in the evening with good service and some interesting drinks on the menu. I believe the concierge was Victor and he was friendly and helpful. He helped us with our Uber in the rain and didn’t have to. We definitely recommend this hotel. It’s in a good location as well. Easy to get out and walk.

The service was amazing loved the chef who did my cheese omelette for 3 mornings. Room was excellent and all staff were welcoming. Will definitely go again.

The staff at theis hotel are fantastic. We had a snafu at another establishment and called the Marriott on a chance. They made what could have been a nightmare into a wonderful stay at their hotel. A woman named Margaret helped us book and a wonderful lady named Sophie at the front desk took care of everything else. The hotel was clean, comfortable and every single person we came in contact with was helpful and truly professional. The location is great too. I would recommend this hotel highly and if I am ever lucky enought to visit London again I would stay definitely stay there.

Stayed here with a group of 20 for 4 days last week. Estefania from the reception was amazing and did a great job! She was very kind and had great suggestions for places to go to nearby!

Even though they are in the middle of a facelift they are still just as awesome and on point with their service. One quibble tho, their breakfast buffet seems a little sad this year.

Very nice hotel and very professional staff. Enjoyed my morning breakfast every morning before shopping and seeing the sights. Great pickup from taxis and tour events.

Everything expected in a Marriott property. Spacious room especially for central London. Nespresso in room very appreciated. Location is great — 2 blocks from tube and lots of nearby restaurants. The hotel itself is not a local life tourist experience, but the area is a good mix of tourists and locals. It was a welcome respite from my previous hop in an authentic renovated but typically cramped central Paris hotel.

Rooms a bit run down and in need of some maintenance. Customer service acceptable but no more than that. Doesn't really merit the price but it's London so I guess that's what you get. Location is good for tube access. Not sure if I would stay here again. There a premier inn round the corner which would be as good and is cheaper.

EXCELLENT & FRIENDLY STAFF: Front Desk, Concierges, Restaurant, Security & Executive Lounge. Clean rooms, great beds & quiet to sleep, close to subway & grocery store. You must stay here! Nice friendly greetings by ALL personnel. Huge breakfast buffet. Management really impressive and helpful (Ms. Toth and Mr. Saunders). Got us two football tickets to our First Barclay's Premiere League game. Impressive! This vacation is our " bucket list" trip for us two senior citizens. We must come back here.

The rooms were small but not out of the ordinary for a large city. The staff was exceptionally helpful and courteous. The typical sights (London Eye, Westminster Abbey) are a bit of a walk but not unbearable.

Do not stay at this hotel if using points and have elite status. I walked up to the front counter and was greeted by a very friendly front desk attendant named Ted. He was smiling, friendly, and kind. Asked if it was our first time in London and asked what we planned on doing and seeing during our stay, being a business owner myself I know he’s the kind of employee you want representing your hotel and your brand. I then asked about my access to the free continental breakfast and executive lounge to which he went back in the office and had asked Luisa. I was then completely and utterly demeaned and humiliated by the manager on duty Luisa who was completely unprofessional in the way she spoke to me. Especially after seeing it was points redemption stay and explaining to her that my partner had called and confirmed everything the week before, and when making the reservation, she insisted that I called the Marriott number and handed the phone over the MIDDLE OF THE FRONT DESK. I sat on hold for 20 minutes and then finally got an operator. After giving him my name (not my partner’s) And our member ID he said yes I qualified to get the free breakfast and access to the executive lounge. Then Luisa insisted on talking to him and she basically told him no I don’t qualify since it is not in my name and it was a points redemption. So why did she have me call him if she had already made her mind up that she wasn’t going to budge?

Nice cup of coffee in the morning :) I was there due to my Paediatrick first aid course. Staff is really nice and helpful. Everything looks clean and nice.

Room is pleasant. Great location with a quick walk to earls court station. Several museums in walking distance. Nice big TV. Bed is comfy.

Stayed here two times and have to say that it is a great location to enjoy the city and well managed. I am a Marriott Platinum member and do travel quite a bit staying at Marriott.

I was attending a day training course. The course was great, as were the facilities. Ambient heating, good light, great snacks and food. Really impressed with the operations here.

The hotel is dated, but extremely clean with a very professional staff.
The food in the cocierge lounge is good, but limited for breakfast, if you have status I highly recommend enjoying the complementary full breakfast at the cafe. Cooked to order omelets or eggs and a fine selection of accessories…
The area is nice with a lot of friendly pubs nearby.
I’d go back.

Good location for those who want to use road transport to get to places outside of London. Also good to travel into central London with Gloucester Road station a short walk. The museums are a short walk. The hotel is clean with good facilities a gym attached to the outside of the hotel. A starbucks onsite. Overall a good hotel, however parking is also onsite but the car park is fairly expensive, small and very tight.

Standard Marriott hotel. I got the great service expected at a Marriott. I was there for a meeting. Great meeting room and helpful staff.

Venue for a professional training session in Gallery 1. Noisy outside the room as the snacks and refreshments were directly outside the room, so when other groups breaker, they were directly outside. Snacks were great! Lunches for the two days were mediocre and lacklustre. Great staff! Toilets are tiny!

Very good hotel, with iron in the room, indispensable requirement in my opinion. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Room service also very good, available until 23 a good choice of food and drink.

Really nice! Friendly staff, nice bar and breakfast, nice room. Only complaints are the ridiculously underpowered hair dryer and a heating system that I couldn’t quite figure out how to keep from cooking me to broiling by the middle of the night. Nice place for the business traveler, because both the restaurant and bar are cozy and have nooks and crannies so you don’t feel quite so on display as a solo diner.

We traveled to London for the Christmas holiday and chose the Marriott Kensington based on proximity to Underground stations and the city centre. We also found that the closer to city centre we searched the more expensive it was for not necessary any better accommodations. The Marriott Kensington is a great value when location and commuter convenience is a factor. So the bottom line up front is that every interaction we had with the staff of the hotel was excellent. They never failed to on any question we had or any request we had. I'm a fairly detailed oriented person, just ask my wife, so I pay attention to what people say and what people do. We had booked a Superior room for our 8 night stay some months in advance using points and cash. I called prior to departing to reconfirm our reservations and to request a Christmas be put in our room for the duration of our stay. We have a ten year old son and we still planned on celebrating Christmas with him on the day. They said no problem in putting a tree in the room, they had never done it before but said it shouldn't be problem. I inquired about a possible upgrade to a Junior Suite if one was available and the manager I spoke with recommended the Kensington Suite since a Junior Suite was available. The price he gave was within our budget since we were using points as well as cash. We were very glad we upgraded! The Kensington Suite was perfect for us!

Excellent location. Reasonable sized rooms. Amenities befitting a business hotel. Room was a bit dated, but no complaints. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Of the places I have stayed in Kensington, this is my favorite.

Extremely cold in the Grille area, we had to wear our outdoor coats to keep the chill at bay. A few extra small heaters were provided but we were told that there was no fault with the heating system, it is just a large area to heat. The corridors were also very chilly. Rooms had to be warmed with temporary heaters. This is not a hotel for an English winter. The salads and chilled rice pudding served at lunch did not help to warm us. Food poor. I would not choose this hotel nor recommend it again.

I really wanted to love this hotel, but didn't. We booked on rewards points (category 8) and SO regret not booking the JW Marriott Grosvenor House (category 9) for just a few points more. Very hard lesson learned, and we should have researched more. The location isn't that great. It's close enough to an Underground station, but will take 30-60 minutes at least if you choose to walk to the closest notable landmarks. The room and bathroom were very small. We had to rearrange and shove furniture to fit the baby crib the hotel lent us. The hotel felt dated. The concierge lounge was also very small and didn't have a great selection. The staff was kind and helpful, and the restaurant was good, but nothing stood out as exceptional. For the price/category, we certainly wouldn't stay here again.

Excellent customer service. It was my girlfriends birthday and they gave us a beautiful cake. Beautiful hotel.

While the hotel is a little older it is still very nice. The location is great and the staff and amenities are fantastic.

Based on a five night stay, this hotel appears to cater to the business traveler more than the tourist though we did see a few tour groups pass through. A full English buffet breakfast is offered in the restaurant. There is a large bar area. There is an executive lounge for gold and platinum Marriott rewards members. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The room we had was beautiful and the bed comfortable. In Marriott's photo of this hotel it looks like it is off by itself separated by a busy highway. Quite the contrary. The hotel is set in the middle of a neighborhood though there are many more small hotels than houses in the immediate area. Except for their signs most of the local hotels are indistinguishable from the residences. Two underground stations, Gloucester Road and Earl's Court, are within walking distance. We found Earl's Court to be closer and more useful to get to the sights we wanted to see. It is on the green District Line. The Underground operates essentially like the Washington Metro system and if you buy an Oyster Card, it works pay as you go. You can buy them at most stations. The system also ties in the Docklands Light Railroad, city buses and certain boats on the Thames. You might also buy day passes. I am guessing it is not a concern with day passes, but with Oyster cards you should be concerned that you have enough money on your card to cover your fare. There is a steep fine if you don't.

Fairly close to the Earl's Court station. Very nice area with lots of good places to eat. Our room was clean and the staff was friendly.

Amazing stay, as a big fan of the chain and having stayed in various Marriott hotels, my expectations were high. London Marriott Kensington did an excellent job during our stay, they have friendly staff who really look after their customers.

Typical Marriott affair. Welcoming staff, comfortable hotel. Great location for Knightsbridge and Kensington shopping. Convenient for a good range of bars and restaurants.

Unfortunately, this Marriott location did not meet the expectations that I have grown accustomed to. Mainly the staff lacks customer services skills and eagerness to follow through! Nevertheless, they offer excellent breakfast and it is centrally located to many tourist attractions.

A little disappointed for a four star hotel. Room was looking a little tired, reading light above bed and desk light were not working, bath tap was rusty. No dressing robes. Breakfast was good and the bed was comfortable.

Currently staying at the Marriott in Kensington and very disappointed. Paying a premium price for a 2 x double bedded room for a family with no breakfast included. On the 7th floor and there is a continuous humming noise which means virtually no sleep. Breakfast you can pay in advance for a full breakfast which not all of the family wanted and we were told that individual items on the breakfast menu were only available in the club lounge which only higher level marriott members have. If we didn't pay in advance then it was £30 each even for the kids in the morning as a £10 surcharge for walk ins would be incurred. To top it off not hot water in the room but when we complained there was apparently a part being changed in the hotel so the hot water was off — no notification to guests. Really disappointed and we have booked Marriott hotels for our trip to New York in August thisyear — may be changing our booking. Wouldn't use this hotel in Kensington again.

Service is awesome here. Hotel is beautiful as well as the rooms. The rooms are on the smaller side but they still make good use of the space. The shower is awesome and the pressure is perfect. Location wise you can't beat it as it's only a short walk to the tube.

Nice American style hotel. Great location, only a short walk from a couple tube stations, so getting around London from this hotel is relatively easy. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Went for a conference. Food was great, rooms were well equipped. The place was easy to find, close to tube station and staff were attentive.

My go to hotel in London. It is conveniently located near Earls Court, which has three metro lines … making it very easy to get around in London. Rooms are decent. Lounge is so-so. Bar is okay. I prefer getting a room overlooking the back garden.

Room 328. Had to complain about noise of the adjourning rooms twice over the night before anything was done. No apology was given in the morning, they didn't even ask how the stay was. The smoke alarm, telly, and main light all blinked so it was like sleeping on a runway. Also, two plugs in the room miles away from the bed, I don't understand how hotels function without providing plugs for customers. The cafe staff didn't know where the toilets were, or whether the food was gluten free. Wouldn't ever stay again.

Excellent location. Metro 4 blocks. Near supermarkets and restaurants. However the rooms are small as everything in London.

Convenient location. High quality rooms and dining/bar areas. Very slow/clumsy check in. Staff friendly but a bit cloyingly attentive. Not relaxing.

Good rooms. Clean and spacious. Breakfast is great; Starbucks coffee, vegetarian and gluten free options. Veggie juices available at extra cost. Staff are very friendly.

The Marriott Hotel Kensington, London is very nice. We had a lovely stay there last Friday 12 February 2016 and stayed in Room 601, both my wife and I enjoyed it. The staff were very professional and very helpful/friendly which added to our enjoyment. Well done all.

Excellent value (particularly off-season), good service, good access to Glouster Road and Earls Court tube stops and grocery.

Great location which you will pay a bit more to enjoy. There are 2 tube stops within 5 min walk and a fantastic gym. Rooms are nice and clean and hotel staff is very friendly. Food is good nothing overly showy but a plethora of restaurants in a short walk.

Accommodation this unique advantage is that the beds, very comfortable. Room is big but not for relaxation. Dirty furniture blankets and broken into small pieces. No bedside tables. Only one is kind of hard, hard kitchen Chair. Simply don't want to use the shower or toilet, very old and very dirty. The place worse than the hotel. Food is very poor, so don't eat breakfast. Can't wait to get out of here. Never staying in tourist hotels. Very bad experience.

Rooms are clean. Close to public transport. They first put me on the ground floor. There was road noise and they put me on the second floor. Concierge was not helpful. Bar is nice and quiet.

Good location and great room. Had a fire evacuation during the stay and sad to say the staff didn't really check on guests safety. Left with an impression of YOYO = you on your own.

Stayed in the Kensington as it was a Marriott and it was close to the Olympia for an event that we were attending. Check in was hard work, the lad who served us barely spoke English and things were being lost in translation. I suppose this isn't his fault but the other person on check in, instead of looking could have helped out a little bit. Our room was okay, not up to usual standards and felt very tired. Shower was hard work and toilets seemed a little grubby, with yellow urine marks still by the fasteners that hold the seat on to. We had booked a meal at the Atrium, but decided against it and went to Sainsburys across the road for some snacks, this is a handy store. Location wise on your doorstep you have the main museums; Natural History, Science Museum. You also have the Westfield near Shepard's Bush which I feel is much better than the one at Stratford. Overall disappointed with this hotel!

A complete rip off… Do not stay here… they overcharged me for this dump… never again.

I'm a silver member and use mariott as a preference. However car was in carpark for 72 hours and was dented. I called and complained. They apparently reviewed the footage in under 2 hours and found nothing. Wont be staying here again £35 a day to park and won't take care of your car. Room was also small poor air con and no option to open a window. Shower head won't spray on you just the wall. For the money it is disappointing.

I'm a Platinum member and usually experience platinum service when I stay at Marriotts, even for non-business travel (just had a wonderful experience at the Renaissance in Amsterdam a few weeks ago), but at this hotel my experience was mediocre at best. There was nothing platinum about it. No special greeting, no 'platinum welcome gift', no high-speed internet, unfriendly staff at the front desk, and the 'executive lounge' is also sub-par. On our last day, after having checked out, they wouldn't let us use the lounge anymore, and when we sat in the restaurant with our suitcases (waiting to leave for the airport), they gave us funny looks and talked about us behind our backs. One of the staff kept pacing around us, making us feel like he's making sure we're not stealing the silverware or something. If you don't have status and all you're looking for is a shower and a bed you can stay here (after all it is in a good location). But if you have status and are looking for that special treatment even when you're on vacation and not traveling on your company's dime, stay somewhere else.

Nice Location, Easy Underground Access and Friendly Staff The look from outside of this Marriott is very modern. Good location at the border of Zone 1 and between two underground Tube-stops (Gloucester Road and Earl’s Court). We took Piccadilly Line directly from London Heathrow Airport to Earl’s Court and walked to the hotel in 5 minutes by using Oyster card (strongly recommended since it will save you a lot of time and money, well worth it and you can get the deposit back so it’s technically free). Underground Tube is the most economic and no transfer needed to this hotel. Grazina checked us in early before noon time without any problems and gave us a room on the 6th floor with a large King bed and many updated amenities. She was professional and very friendly and spontaneously applied Marriott reward card for us-even though we already have it but just used another booking system from online so it did not show. The room was clean and comfy with a view of back street and was very quiet during our stay-what can we say-it a Marriott. Across the street, there is a Sainsbury’s –convenient shopping for most essential items and groceries and there’s another big supermarket (Waitrose) near Gloucester Road Tube Station. Overall a nice hotel touring London especially for a very reasonable price we got online. Stayed August 2013, traveled as a couple.

As a lifetime platinum member of Marriott, I am shocked at the lack of customer service exhibited by the front desk staff (particularly the managers). Stay elsewhere.

I visited this place with a friend for dinner. We loved our food. Also it is a lovely place to stay.

Have stayed here previously and had a good experience and it is very convenient to a number of tourist sites. I have been a long time Marriott user and have enjoyed the long term relationship and experience until this stay! Marriott should look at removing its' good name from this hotel! No one answers for room service; rooms are not completely cleaned until you call at 4:30 to have them complete. The restaurant is adequate but menu is very limited. They highlight American (USA) food but just miss. Don Adams.

Good service. Only complaint was that the breakfast was a bit bare. Could have been better. Otherwise good rooms and a good location.

Great hotel to stay in London with children. We stayed in the executive/family room, lovely view over Kensington, excellent breakfast. Convenient location in central London, walking distance to tube and restaurants, museums. Will definitely go back for our next trip.
