Expected a small room but had hoped to be able to walk round the bed
No seating other than the bed
open the bathroom door outwards to be met by the loo inches from the end of the bed
Lovely view of the bin bags out the window which were later moved up above by the railings
When we spoke to reception he just smiled and said it's fine and almost giggled when we moved our without staying
apparently we won't be refunded our money either — £80.00 in their bank and I dare say they resold the room.

I probably could recommend the hotel if it hadn't been for the comment I received from the staff below my review on the website I booked my room on. It perfectly demonstrates the way they regard their guests. You claim that noise is out of your control. Of course, what happens outside of the hotel doesn't depend on you, I made the comment about 3 nights of loud parties in the building opposite our windows just so other people bear in mind that it may happen during their stay …as well. But the fact that all doors inside your hotel make a terrible noise when they're being shut and that you can hear every step that a person in the room above yours takes is only in your control, as (again) it happens INSIDE of your hotel. After I had complained about poor breakfast and microscopic and uncomfortable luggage storage you replied that they are both FREE OF CHARGE. I actually had a good laugh at it. No, they're not. They are both INCLUDED in the price, which obviously means I paid to use them. It baffles me, that someone working in hospitality business would think of stating something like that. But if you insist that you offer free breakfasts I'll make sure to pop in for one next time I'm in London. Your response only proves that I was right to think that you should work on customer service. I did feel somewhat mistreated by the lady at the reception desk, and now I know for sure that she probably shouldn't work with people, as she clearly doesn't like it. ;)

Lovely staff nice and easy to get to town as bus 24 stops right outside.

Room was in front facing Belgrave. Beds and bathroom were adequate. Breakfast was good. No air conditioning and tiny fan made room stuffy. Window has no screen, so careful. TV had a few channels. Came with tea and coffee. Receptionist was very nice, giving us good advice and directions about the transportation.

Based on the price, great Hotel, if not unique.
We stayed at this 3 night hotel.
Great location for transportation.
Breakfast included with croissants and little else.
Very friendly reception staff.
Small room, quiet, well cleaned, equipped with TV, window, bathroom with WC and shower, towels every day clean.
For that price range in London we have not yet found any better.

We would have liked to have more space, and a closet but London is so if you don't spend a crazy digits, you have to settle. And we were very happy with what he was proposing.
I would definitely recommend it again.

The Lidos Hotel is a choice to take into account if you want to visit London and have a hotel in the centre but without paying too much attention to the services. The hotel is very convenient being close to the Victoria station. Perfect from the airports and to get around the city. But the structure is small and needs renovation. The room, triple, was tiny, hard to move or just open the suitcase. Overall it is clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast is not very varied and the small room can accommodate only a few guests at a time. The neighborhood is safe and quiet cared for.

Lovely small hotel with friendly staff and clean rooms. I stayed with my boyfriend for a few days to visit London and it was perfectly located near Victoria. The room was cleaned daily and we always got fresh towels. You get a pretty decent continental breakfast with a wide selection of tea, coffee or hot chocolate. And a big plus for me, the coffee was not instant. I know there are plenty of hotels in that area but this one is definitely one to consider.

Clean hotel, okay location not too far from Victoria Station. Simple breakfast in a small space. Room I stayed in was the tiniest I've ever experienced. No a/c, so I had to keep the windows open but the location directly on the street made it loud and hard to sleep. Temperature of the water in the shower constantly fluctuated making showering frustrating and in no way pleasant.

A little bit outdated but for the price its do it. Job.

20 minute walk from Parliament Square this is a clean and comfortable hotel. Reasonably priced with a good breakfast. I would stay here again.

The room is very small, but has everything you need. Breakfast wasn't that good. Total for one night Ok.

Hotel 10 minutes from Victoria cheap and clean station, small rooms and bathrooms.

Very well located, 10 minutes from the Metro. Victoria station bus stop directly opposite. Very cosi.

I recommend it only for the location, poor breakfast (from the hard croissants and the horrendous jams not to mention the only big ham and full of fat for the toast) you have to do it often in turn! My room 108 always with sewer smell and much noise on the floor above. Great reception.

It is a fantastic hotel located in a very good area of the city, a very quiet street with several more hotels. A typical English neighborhood is located.
The look of the hotel is very good, it is refurbished a very short time ago and it shows. If you compared the appearance of lidos and the hotels nearby… It's clearly the winner.
The room was also very good, we stayed in one with double bed, very comfortable. I had the possibility of going out to a small terrace from which you could see the whole streets. The bathroom was reformed from a short time ago, of good size.
The cleanliness was good too, all very clean and correct.
They also have some snacks in the room and teapot with some varieties. The truth is that if you had to pay or not, did not say anything.
The breakfast they offer is pretty good, they have a dining room on the floor minus one, not very big with the basics but enough. They had coffee, tea, infuesiones, juices, pastries and toast, cold cuts, cheese, mazedonia and some types of yogurt.
The staff that atendia the breakfast was very friendly, they also spoke Spanish and they were very attentive to everything was fine. Actually all the hotel staff were friendly and polite.
The hotel has good connections if you don't want to walk, right at the door there is a bus stop and a 5 minute walk is the Pimplico metro station.

The site is very good near the Victoria Station and Pimplico, also the bus 24 that takes you to Oxford Street, the super friendly staff helped us with everything we asked, the breakfast acceptable, the room small but enough, the bathroom completely renovated, the only downside is that it has no safe but very good experience.

Well located hotel between Pimlico and Victoria station. Tiny single room with Minimini bath. Nothing for big people. Breakfast was great.

Ideal location near to both Victoria and Pimlico underground stations. Bus stop opp hotel to Trafalgar Square/Covent Garden. Staff exceptionally friendly and helpful. Hotel very clean and nice rooms. Would definitely recommend.

The rooms are a little small but in general it is only for sleeping as one spends the day knowing the city. The staff is very friendly. He doesn't have a safe. The bathroom was very clean and the hotel was very nice.

For the location and price this is a super Hotel. Staff were very friendly. Breakfast as far as continental breakfasts go was good. Room was a triple and was perfectly sized for a budget hotel and was warm and clean. Bathroom was clean but small but the location of the hotel more than made up for the small bathroom. I would not hesitate in recommending this Hotel.

I recommend it if you go to London.

My only criticism is the breakfast room, 2 days we queued for breakfast, only open from 7 to 9 am (2HS is really short time! ) I think it is small for the amount of people who stay in the hotel.

The bathroom smelled like a damp drain and I had to open the window as the smell permitted the room during the night, this was fine as the room was so hot anyway. The bathroom was so small my knees hit the opposite wall when I used the toilet. The shower varied between too hot or a pulsing dribble. Breakfast was basic and dull at best.

2 Nights Maximum! Quality-price the cheap room and in the basement small but sufficient x 2 nights. Carpeting in hallway and rooms and the floor is just not exactly even. Cleaning: OK breakfast at the lowest terms. They speak English only: that can be also positive unless you find yourself in objective difficulties.

Great location, expensive but probably average for the area. Room was small and walls very thin, expect to hear what's going on in the next room! Clean and tidy and friendly staff.

Very small and uncomfortable room having a toddler with the buggy is poorly positioned, normal breakfast, staff cold and aloof. Pretty clean and CMQ close to Victoria station.

Hotel has great location but they have nothing else… Free wi fi but it is not stable. I can hear what was next room talking about, walls are like paper thin. Room was cold. Night shift receptionist was very rude but day time receptionist was ok. Breakfast room was very small if you wake up late you couldn't find a table to have breakfast.

The Lidos hotel is located in the Victoria district and is within a 30-minute walk from the London Eye, Big Ben, and Westminster Abbey. The rooms are small and only have one power outlet. The shower is slightly awkward to use due to the location of the faucet and how the shower door opens. The water pressure is good. The bed is nice and cosy. The receptionists are very nice and helpful. Check-in is at 2pm, which was inconvenient for me, but I was able to store my luggage there for free before 2pm. Breakfast is simple, but delicious.

Lovely staff on reception really helpful and had good local knowledge. Amazing price for location we went to the theatre and it was 5 minutes away. Super convenient! Clean room and great shower, outside Street was noisy but that can't be helped due to roadworks. Bed was really comfy! I will definitely stay here again next time!

This is my second time to stay in the hotel. The room is tidy, clean, pretty small but enough to accomodate two people conveniently, as well our 2 big luggage. The most important one that it's centrally located and nearby London landmarks. Also, there is a bus stop just exactly accross the road and the bus will take and connect us easily to any tourist places. Breakfast is simple and basic but served in a good presentation. The breakfast if quite OK to energize the day. Hotel staff are nice and helpful enough. We will consider to stay again in the hotel for our future London trip.

Very good service, reasonable prices, and good location. Downsides are lack of amenities and a tiny room. But I recommend the hotel once you're aware of the limitations.

We loved it here, we stayed on an overnight stay as we were going to see wicked there was me and my 12yr old daughter the staff were very polite and courteous, gave us a free map of London and shown us on the map where the theatre was, lots of shops and bars near by also a little market on the (Monday) room was on the small side but very clean quiet and comfortable cant fault this hotel will definitely stay again.

Microscopic room but quite clean and very welcoming, amazing location walking distance to Victoria and the old town. From here, a walk to Big Ben is the most pleasant thing in the world!

Really good central location and very friendly and helpful staff. Stayed just one night but comfortable and good sized room, and breakfast was a good variety of toast, cereals, fruit salad and yoghurts. Overall a well priced hotel which I will be returning to the next time I am in London.

A decent budget hotel for going around in London. Rooms are clean and neat. The guys are always at your service when required. The things are really safe and no one touches even if you leave it in room and go out. The rooms are smaller and complimentary breakfast was not upto the mark. But good for the amount we pay.

The room was very small, good for a short stay. They did advertise this so this is not a complaint just an observation. The were staff very friendly and helpful. Good location, not far from Victoria station. Recommended (in my opinion) for a short (up to three days) stay :)

Relatively small room but very good price and location. Bagnstationen and many attractions within easy reach. I can only recommend. Just a closet in the rooms would still be on the top :)

Very clean, cosy and reasonably priced hotel. Located close to Victoria (8 min walk) and Pimlico (5 min walk). Room was so warm — just what you want when outside is zero degrees. Staff — friendly and welcoming. Breakfast — basic, but fresh and really value for money. Also hotel is located close to a number of small shops and a shopping centre. Very glad we stayed there (2 adults and 1 child). Highly reccomend.

Hotel very well located, between Pimlico and Victoria stations. 15 minutes walk from Westminster. Otherwise, the 24 bus serving Westminster stop just outside the hotel. The rooms are relatively small, but clean. The staff is very nice. Breakfast is simple, but has the merit to be included in the price. The area is very quiet and away from the bustle of London who can rule in the Center.

Really wonderful and soo clean and I'm very funny when it comes to cleaniess in hotels so this was a treat clean rooms lovely bathrooms well decorated it's like a 5* hotel well it's 5* in my eyes anyone who wants a classy room that won't break your budget choose this hotel u won't be disspointed thank you lidos for a pleasant clean lovely stay x.

Very good service, changed the towels and sheets every day, all very clean. The full breakfast as buffet. Has a bus stop just in front of the door, in both senses. The metro is two streets and is surrounded by English pubs as well as other food establishments. It also has a large supermarket close by, between Victoria station and the hotel.

If you want to stay big and comfortable room, you have to avoid lidos hotel. Rooms are to small and dark. It isn't worth a stay.

The best hotel for the money that it costs. Excellent location. To Big Ben and the London Eye, you can walk 1, 5 km). Excellent transport accessibility. Next few decent pubs and shop. Tea, coffee and tea maker in the room. And, frankly, not very. Ham, cheese, cereals, various pastries, toast, butter, jam. T. E. Edali and better. ).

Fantastic Hotel at a low cost and has been recently refurbished. The Hotel was very clean and the staff were friendly. We were in a room on the top floor, the room was small but has everything you need. The only downfall was a damp smell from the bathroom but in all honesty it didn't put us off at all, it was perfectly clean and was only a minor fault. The continental breakfast was great, plenty to choose from and the serving area and tables were kept very clean. The location was great, it is within walking distance to loads of sights in Westminster and close to the tube and coach station. I would highly recommend the Lidos Hotel and I would definately book again.

If you are looking for a hotel solely to sleep in, this hotel is perfect. Bus stop directly in front of the hotel, small but decent (bath) room, breakfast is disappointing.

Avoid this hotel at all costs. It's not acceptable for people to do building repairs at 7:30am on a weekend. Woken by drilling, sawing and constant banging.

NEGATIVE: a poor, dirty, and runtergekommenenes rooms, staff unfriendly and inefficient, in the hotel room things were stolen (money, camera), breakfast unpalatable.
We have moved on after a night in another hotel, which was much better and even cheaper.
Never again! Can only recommend.

Hotel: centrally placed in Pimlico, only a 10 minute walk from Victoria train station, looks old-fashioned and it really happened to fit this look! Staff: really cute receptionist, 24-h reception. Staff at breakfast was the first catastrophe — didn´t speak english properly and was unfriendly and unhelpful Rooms: the bathroom was really old and dirty. There was a lot of mold on the floor next to the shower and chalk everywhere in the shower. The water was either burning hot or freezingly cold. The toilet´s room was seperated from the bathroom and smelly, tiny and dirty. There wasn´t a hairdryer even the hotel promises one in each room on its homepage and there was only one towel for two persons (we had to ask for both things. ). The carpet was an old, dirty mess. The window was not fully closeable and there was dust everywhere on the furniture as well as hairs on the bed. Breakfast: Served in a really tiny room equipped with dirty tables and broken chairs. Consisted of some slices of toast (2 per person, if you wanted more you had to ask for it. ), really cheap marmelade and even cheaper cornflakes (strange interpretation of full continental breakfast! ), tea or coffee. The room was too small to get all guests in at once. We would never stay there again.
