Standard bed and breakfast. You get what you pay for. Staff are very welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was basic (no eggs/meats/cheeses) but enough to fill you up. Beds are comfortable and hotel is clean although slightly outdated decor. Location is great, close to bus/rail/underground and on a main street so we felt safe returning at night. We arrived a few hours early but were pleased to know that they had a room ready for us. Keys are old fashioned physical keys (not key cards).

Perfectly acceptable for the price. Could do with nicer bathrooms an new beds :)

Cheap and cheerful? This rabbit warren hotel is certainly budget. Tired, old beds, rickety bathrooms (no shower), mediocre, dry, breakfast with Morrison's budget yoghurt. It's a place to (uncomfortably) sleep but not a place to relax in.

Staff on the desk friendly enough and the place is clean. However I was supposedly staying according to my booking in one of their better rooms with a canopy bed, decorated in a modern indian style. However what I got was a room that was not much bigger than the bed. The door lock was not installed properly and you could just push the door open without a key as the gap between the latch and the hole was too far apart. The only way to secure the room was to use the deadlock on the door. There was a 1/4 inch gap at the base of the door which means you could hear every conversation and noise in the corridor. The room itself was on the wonk, the floor wasnt level and was on a slope and the bed was about 5 inches higher at the foot of the bed due to the slope, so that you were sleeping with your feet, legs and body higher than your head which isnt good when trying to sleep. The sash windows were being held open by a piece of tubular metal as the mechanisms had bust. The modern indian decor and canopy bed was non existant and probably had been decorated in 5 — 10 years. And the remote for the TV was broken so you couldnt watch TV. The bathroom was fairly modern but very small and the shower is extremely difficult to get into unless you are as skinny as a stick insect. It says they have a restaurant and that they do tapas style indian food… yeah they dont! I had to get a deliveroo delivery for evening dinner. Breakfast was probably one of the worst I have had in a hotel.

Rooms are small but there is everything you need.

A old hotel with a very nice staff and the minimum facilities. I can’t say it’s awesome but it provides what you pay for.

Nice people, given a better room than when we first arrived. Easy to get back into hotel however late at night.

The hotel is pretty far for the tube, with the only close connection being the bus one. The rooms are pretty old, as the whole building.

Single budget room — small but comfortable room. Clean and good value. Breakfast is very minimal, but location is good and the surrounding area is nice.

Basic rooms but clean linen, tidy room and welcoming smile and help on arrival. Basic breakfast a little underwhelming just toast (white and brown bread). Cheap croissant and mini brioche. Value yogurt and basic fruit offering. One tub of cheese spread but no sliced meat nor cheese nor boiled eggs. Value bran and cornflakes. Hot tea and coffee. Concentrated orange juice. Great eateries near by. And helpful staff on 24 hours who are happy to upgrade. They just need a smile too. Worth noting soft drinks from fridge in reception. Decent price for the room considering close to central London.

It would be a good place if it would cost you 20£. But it's not the case: — disgusting breakfast — so unfriendly people — very noisy rooms, I could hear my neighbors sleeping, moving in their bed — from my bed I could see people walking in the hallway through the bottom of the door. — broken shower — the curtains were not blocking any light from the window — very old building — the soaps and shampoos were… let's say strange. — breakfast start too late (8am-10am) — no hair blower.

Rooms are very basic and quite small. I won't really recommend it, as it's very expensive for what it actually offers. It smells, though it's kind of clean. Wi-Fi is very slow. Also not very near underground stations.

Although the hotel does not have a good reputation, in my case the room is good, a bit noisy being on the road and with furniture and upholstery conspicuously old. Even the stairs and hallways should be renewed. The breakfast is of poor quality. Free Wi-Fi but open (use a VPN to surf) to stable speed on 200 KBps.

£70 so wasn't expecting much but the description did say 'london st pancras/kings cross which is incorrect. It's not really near there. And it did say breakfast included so ok, I accept they don't cook anything but you would expect some fruit or breads, choice of cereal, maybe pastry's? All there was was some cornflakes and toast. Oh and some old raisins. Tea and coffee. It's ok if your not Hungary, Or if your going to go straight from there and have another breakfast somewhere else. The room was clean though and bed comfy. And staff friendly enough.

For the price, and for a short stay it's OKAY. Avoid basement rooms and book a double room if your budget allows.

It smells like mildew in the hallway outside my door. Besides that it's alright.

Had a 100 GBP/night room, quite a small room and very simply. Breakfast was not very impressive either and we skipped it day with little regret. Definiately the key lowlight was that in between the days room had not been cleaned (at least provide some fresh towells and vaccuum clean) — for the money one would excpect. Have not recieved any compensation as paid upfront. Room looked nothing like pictures on the website. Despite a good weekend, the hotel was a very disapointing experience.

The £50 rooms are very basic, a bed with space to dress and undress, and a good en suite. They rang and warned me that the room was small, but it was fine for me, as I was only there to sleep. If you want to sit in the room and read during the day go for one of the bigger ones. Friendly staff, nice breakfast, maddeningly slow lift.

Pictures paint an unrealistic view of the hotel. There were no flowers in my room for example. Whilst the reception area was pleasant, I found my room to be tired. There were stains on the carpet and the windows rattled. There is free Wi-Fi, which is handy, however the Wi-Fi is restricted to the reception area. In my basement room, there wasn't even a mobile phone signal (vodafone). It's a bit of a walk from the nearest tube (Angel), however buses are frequent and take just a couple of minutes from the hotel. Islington is an excellent location so from this point of view it is recommended. The hotel has an Indian theme — as might be guessed from the name. This includes the food — the meal I had was excellent and worth trying. The breakfast service also good. Staff were very friendly, helpful and pleasant. Only reason I gave 3 stars and not 4 is that I felt a little deceived by the photographs posted on the hotel website (which you will also find have been propagated to various hotel brokers websites).
