Had a lovely stay here, the staff were all very friendly and very helpful, couldn’t do enough for us. The breakfast was lovely and had plenty of choice.

A recent visit to this hotel where we were met with kind friendly staff who couldn’t have been more polite and helpful.
A special mention to the waiters who served us over two meals. Both were great with the kids and incredibly professional.

It was indeed a great stay for my birthday weekend — A beautiful hotel with beautiful features and some lovely staff like 'Delia' who was phenomenal and great with my son but on the flip side some of the staff had a little less spark in them which showed and this massively let the vibe of the hotel down because it was not to the Crowne plaza standard. Also the hotel emailed my mum saying 'some' chefs specials for my birthday would be arranged and when they arrived it was 4 small chocolates with a card addressed to a man and not even addressed to my mum (who was the lady who booked the room) it was just to a total stranger and all we got was a sorry when this was mentioned to the reception. I've never been so disappointed that I put the card in the bin and gave my son the chocolates (I couldn't even keep the card as a memory). This was not personal and it came across a bit sloppy and lacking that professional touch. I wish I could have given you 5 stars as it was not far away from being perfect but improvements need to be made.

We were upgraded which was really nice. Good size rooms comfortable king size bed. Huge tv. Nice place to stay.

The staff were amazing after a difficult journey with no DLR from tower bridge Alexandra deserves a special mention for her kindness but I do have to say the food in the evening lacked any taste or imagination especially for the price.

Great location, easy DLR into London and hop to the City airport. Right on the Excel doorstep too. Plenty of local restaurants. Staff are great, very welcoming and professional.

Stay here many times now when going to concerts at the o2. Great location and easy to get to o2 with the airline. Shame airline closes early and cannot use it to get back to hotel. Would be perfect then. Getting back from o2 via tube is easy enough though. Good bar also when coming back from event and want a little tipple before bed.

Great place for a short break. Nice location. Friendly staff and good customer service. Emirates cable ride is only 2 mins away which takes you across the river to the O2 Arena which has a lot of bars and restaurants.

Good place to stay. Nice and comfortable beds! Only problem I had was having the receptionists full attention whilst checking in. She kept getting distracted by other customers who were shouting out questions which I found extremely rude! After telling her to deal with me first she argued with me saying that she'd served them before me and therefore she still needs to deal with their second enquiry before me!

Nice hotel, round the corner from the DLR. I also got VIP of the day and a free Starbucks drink. Which is nice. Most important points, room and bathroom were clean and breakfast was fine. However when I went out to my car, there was a van in the carpark which had been broken into. Would expect better considering how close the car park is to reception and the high price payed for the car park. I stayed here a good few months back so things may have changed, but security needs to be improved.

The room was lovely spotless. Loved the shampoo and conditioner would love to get some to use at home. And breakfast was lovely the bar staff are the best thanks again.

Some reception, banqueting and concierge staff need an attitude adjustment but besides the few unfriendly faces, it's a positive experience overall staying at Crowne Plaza Docklands. Samantha Frederick is my favourite person at CPD and her energy and presence is contagious! Nice.

Whilst my King Bed Exec Suite was good (with the exception of the temperamental TV in the bedroom) the rest of my hotel experience was poor. When I tried to check in I had to wait on ages for a supervisor to say it was ok to go to the room. Then my electronic key did not work so I had to go back to reception to be told it was my fault yet when I got the replacement key it worked first time yet I was doing exactly the same thing! On entering the room I was met with a huge din from a disco below me and this didnt stop until midnight! On deciding I would get much sleep I decided to order room service. From the very limited menu I chose a cheese and ham bloomer. When it arrived it was a slice of pan bread with 1 slice of ham then another slice of pan then a thin slice cheese or was it rubber followed by another slice of pan bread. Worse sandwich ever! In reality what I want from a hotel room was a goid nights sleep and something good to eat. This hotel failed on both counts.

Spacious rooms for the London average, a short walk from the Excel and the DLR Royal Victoria stop. Convenient if you are in the area for an event. Breakfast for the price that is offered.

Check-in was excellent and we were made to feel very welcome. Lady on the front desk quickly built rapport and gave some restaurant recommendations, which turned out to be as good as she promised. Room was a good size and finished to a high standard. Breakfast was above average and the hotel offers 'made to order' omlettes and waffles. Pool was disappointing as we were expecting a luxury spa and pool, however part of it was fenced off as they offer swimming lessons to young and noisy local kids (with parents poolside keeping an eye out). In normal circumstances this would have been fine but doesn't seem to fit with the service they are trying to sell. Disabled access was OK, pool steps were hard to use and beware you will to go through the main lobby to access the pool if you can't manage the stairs. Staff were always very happy to help. Think I'll try a dedicated spa next time.

Very nice comfortable beds and clean room. Check in experience was excellent, Claudia gave us some great tips on where to eat and a very nice welcome. We used the pool on a Saturday at midday-ish and there were children's swimming lessons — so best to avoid this time if you want a quiet swim. Breakfast was good and plentiful with attentive staff, and worth booking in advance (£11 versus £19 on the day).

The hotel is decent and comes equipped with all the basic necessities that you need. The room we checked into was nice and clean but we realised we didn't have a robe or slippers included in the room so had to request that; didn't really impact us that much. We wanted the breakfast option just for one day during our stay, but the woman who served my girlfriend at reception ended up putting me and my girlfriend down for breakfast for the two days when it was specifically said to her just for one of the days during our stay. Furthermore, she didn't give us a voucher when we booked it (which we needed to present when having breakfast in the morning) so the lady at the breakfast front desk had to access the system to check if we were booked in as it was not on her written list. The lady who booked us for breakfast also did not offer good customer service skills and didn't seem welcoming so not a good impression. However, when I queried this whole situation at reception and said we didn't want breakfast on our check out day, this was quickly resolved by the supervisor who was standing there at the time. The two receptionists I spoke to, before the supervisor got involved, told me that the breakfast was non-refundable but the supervisor was able to resolve my issue within seconds so it seems that training is needed in some areas.

Smart, clean hotel. Very attentive staff at the conference. Food was good and plentiful. The meeting room itself from was well sizes with clear PA equipment. There were no technical difficulties. The hotel is slightly hidden from the DLR station, so do check a map in advance.

The staff was very friendly, the rooms clean the pool and the sauna great and good to use, all together a very good stay!

Very modern, very clean, lots of options. The breakfast is top and also the objects provided, such as iron and ironing board, USB charging plug. Simply a top stay. I would go back here.

Clean, convenient for Canary Wharf, good staff, bar and restaurant nice selection of food, although the restaurant staff aren't always on the ball! Food choices aren't vast but what's on offer is tasty and enjoyable. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Free shuttle service to Canary Wharf is v good.

Very nice hotel and attentive staff. Rooms were good and very clean. Just one small niggle was that I could here doors from other rooms being closed to the point I thought someone was knocking on my door. Didn't bother me with the telly on but worth noting. I was on the 4th floor.

Lot of money for items not to be in room. Breakfast only warm not hot. Plastic found in my wife's breakfast. Overall poor. As point these things out to staff who. Reaall didn't care.

Stayed here after the BRITs at the O2, was really well located and is right opposite the Emirates cable car which drops you in front of the arena. Very comfortable room and was particularly impressed with the quality of the cooked breakfast — a lot of hotels have started using cheap ingredients but Crowne Plaza are maintaining standards! Good on you :) room was booked via work traveldesk so can't comment on value for money but certainly had no complaints and everyone was friendly.

We have visited many 4* hotels around the country and this hotel did not meet the standards we have come to expect. We stayed Feb 10-12 for business and pleasure. Firstly, can I say the staff were amazing, polite and attentive. However, the list of possibly tedious complaints I have amounted to an unexpectedly stressful stay. Our room was on the second floor and you got a pungent smell of drugs near the elevator. Our pillows were flat when you laid down and the right side of the bed dipped and made you roll all night to your left. We could only get boiling water in our room so complained. We were told complimentary water would be sent to the room as we couldn't get cold water for night time. Had to ask for it when we returned from our day trip. We decided a nice dip in the pool and a relaxing time was needed after our business meeting. This was virtually impossible as the chemicals in the hot tub were very strong. Our eyes stung and it was difficult to breath. When I mentioned it to the desk clerk he 're checked and it was at 6.8/6.9. Within the legal limits I was told but it was unbearable. So the extra we had paid for a hotel in London with a spa was wasted; we were offered a further complimentary drink by the duty manager which was appreciated. Parking was more expensive with the hotel than if we had parked at the car park 2ft behind it (didn't realise until we had purchased two day). On a positive note the food was delicious.

A lovely overnight stay! The staff from housekeeping to reception were so polite and friendly. Thanks to receptionist Shayden for making our stay pleasant, you were a great help and made our stay even more pleasurable with your advice in routes to take and generally showing an interest in our well being. Nice Spa staff too… will definitely choose again.

Good hotel just small heating problem.

Absolutely love this hotel. Have stayed a few times and have had no complaints regarding the hotel. Great service! Rooms are big! Love the jacuzzi and the bar down stairs is nice and generally peaceful!

Four stars Meritatissime. Receptionist available, attentive and competent (some of them also Italian). The rooms are very comfortable Very comfortable bed. Modern and elegant ambience.

The hotel itself is lovely. Our room was generously sized, clean and tidy. The staff were efficient and friendly. The breakfast was delicious, with a wide range of pastries, breads, cereals, teas and coffees. With various types of eggs, pancakes and waffles made to order. We were there on our anniversary celebrations, on knowing this the management sent us brownies and non alcoholic cocktails, with a card of congratulations. We tried out the pool, saunas hot tub and were pleasantly surprised by the size of the pool. Our only issue was that the heated pool wasn't warm, the saunas were also not warm. Also there was no hot water. On checking out we complained about the lack of hot water, only then we're we told that they hotel had boiler issues hence the lack of hot water.

Well located, gym and pool at the height. Very comfortable bed and good facilities. Repeat.

Although it may well be a good place to stay, with easy access to central London and also to the ExCeL. I found as a venue for the National Landlord Investment Show, it left a lot to be desired. The space was far to narrow for the number of exhibitors and I, for one, found it extremely claustrophobic, hot and reminiscent to a busy ride on the bumper cars. Also providing coffee at the end I've the venue meant having to traverse like a slalom skier between people, so as not to end up wearing the coffee. Although they may have considered this and this was why the coffee was tepid at best. Not a great day I'm afraid.

Good facilities, including gym, spa and pool but I didn't think the gym and breakfast staff were up to expectations. Check-in staff were spot on but felt unwelcome at the gym and breakfast was like being in a staff social club. Breakfast served nice and early from 06:00 but by half-past some of the cooked food looked a bit dried-out so improvement needed there. Excellent room and complimentaries though. Worth it if you get a good deal.

I was at this hotel beacuse of a swimming lesson for small kids in the Hotel's swimming pools. I also had a drink at the bar in the lobby. The hotel seems very modern and the staff is efficient and attentive. The bar is very large and well designed. Swimming pool is not humble but big enough. I had a good general impression of the place.

Good standard of hotel, location not great, was woken by planes taking off from nearby airport at around 7am, then noise from surrounding buildings/carpark. Whilst the rooms at the front overlook the dock, those at the rear face a multi storey car park and power lines. Room was good standard, and bed comfortable. Shower and bathroom good. Breakfast was reasonable, holiday Inn standard. Nicely decorated with good quality furnishings. Unless you need to be in the area there isn't really any reason to stay at this hotel. It's good for the o2, accesses via the cable car, and there is a barge-bar in the dock a couple of minutes from the hotel. There isn't much else nearby.

Rooms are great, relatively noce view for london, Bar is reasonable exept for food, Beyond the point of pretentious and expensive, I just wanted a normal meal e, g chicken wings (they come very fatty and with no bones in), No table service even though people run around you and had tp wait an excessive time just for a burger even though they were empty. Bar the food its nice!

Everything the hotel was great and I really wanted to give it 5 stars but the only thing that let it down was between half 9am until 15 minutes before we were about to check out we had constant room service knocking on our door and just coming into our room which we went was very rude and annoying as a one point we were about to get changed. Everyone else was really nice tho and the food, Bar and room service was really great.

Visit was for a work related reason, so experienced conference facilities which were very good. Refreshments and lunch also provided, which again were very good. Location is very close to DLR station so transport links caused no problems.

Great breakfast, spacious rooms, check out at noon, a pool, sauna, and fitness area. Definitely a nice hotel for a short visit. My only issues were the wireless Internet speed was sub par during peak hours (evenings especially) and they couldn't provide any option to have faster Internet (not even a paid option, afaik). We couldn't stream video even at 720p (forget 1080p). Also, the pillows were pretty large and fluffy, with no thinner pillows available in the room.

Nice rooms, lovely staff. Breakfast is very hit and miss as I'd the food. Dinner is more miss than hit. The gym is small and if you time it wrong very crowded. Same with the pool. However if all you need is a decent room and a friendly face to check you in this hotel is good.

Stayed in the Crowne Plaza hotel for one night and vast very pleased. It was nice and quiet, and the staff was friendly. There is a pool and a gym in the hotel, as well as a spa. The only issue is that the smell from the pool water has spread throughout the hallways on several floors. But never got to our room.

Absolutely wonderful! We was upgraded to a superior King from a standard double with complimentaries in our fridge also. Can not fault this hotel, the best Iv stayed in soo far! Clean, tidy, friendly and very welcoming. Location is spot on! Cable carts over the river to get to the 02. The facilities are wonderful. Iv had a pleasant time. Thank you.

Very poor hotel for such an expensive rack rate and staff not very helpful. Thought this was going to be a treat from my normal Holiday Inn hotels, but was actually a lot worse.

Bar staff is terrible. Especially girl by the bar dark hair, Lithuanian. Rude, irresponsible and naci (we are Russians). I will never stay here again. Worst place and treatment ever.

Excellent service and attention by the reception staff. Jorge and his colleagues were especially friendly and helpful, and I very much appreciate their help! Nice bar, fair whisky collection.

Only went to the bar. Terrible service said they would put sound on for sports event but refused after we ordered drinks and the game started. Too late to go anywhere else. They got us.

The breakfast was lovely, clearly freshly prepared by a good chef — which is pretty novel for a large hotel dealing with a cooked buffet. I can recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in the Docklands area.
