We have stayed here a few times, visited for a weekend to celebrate two anniversaries with our parents a couple of weeks ago. Lovely rooms, lovely food and above all lovely staff. Thank you all for making us so welcome. A special thank you to Mandy for looking After us so well. We will definitely be back!

Friendly and helpful staff, plus the food was lovely and delicious. The restaurant is cosy and clean with areas of soft lighting and other areas brighter for families. Thank you Coach & Horses for making a birthday celebration a brilliant occasion.

Just returned from a two night stay. I couldn’t recommend this enough. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was delightful. Clean, spacious, beautiful bathroom and everything that you would need. Good variety on the menu. Excellent service. I will definitely be going back. Thank you for looking after us so well.

Lovely pub and tastefully fitted out rooms and the view from my particular room looked directly at the window of the house next door, where my daughter is living and currently self-isolating! Perfect… and the food is great too. I lived in London most of my life until I moved to North Yorkshire four years’ ago. The Coach and Horses feels like home from home. Very happy.

Excellent food, great hospitality and spotlessly clean. Location perfect for time at Kew Gardens. Fairy lit outdoor heated patio fabulous.

Very friendly, staff are great, helpful. Food is delicious and good portions. A varied menu catering for vegan, vegetarian and meat eaters. A large choice for breakfast also.

The food here was amazing and the staff was so friendly. The waiter and waitress both went out of their way to make sure we got everything and were happy with everything. I would definitely recommend.

The service throughout our stay was fantastic We were given excellent guidance in regard to Kew Gardens, which really made our day, very Special. The service and food in the bar exceeded our expectations and value for money The room was amazing, we had a lovely weekend, would recommend.!

Stayed there 6 years ago. This time was just as great. Nice breakfast and room. Secure parking. Nice folks. Reasonable rates. On bus line and Kew Green walk to river. Looking forward to next trip.

Had a really nice late lunch here. It was very quiet and the service was brilliant. I had the pie, mash and spring greens. It was really tasty and will definitely be back for another. The fish and chips were good too.

Wonderful hotel in a lovely location room was fantastic and impeccably clean, breakfast was very good too the receptionist was lovely and said we could leave our car in the hotel car park whilst we visited Kew Gardens even though we where checking out that day very good location if visiting Kew Gardens as only a five minute walk away would definitely stay again.

Every Christmas I visit Kew Gardens and every Christmas I visit the Coach and Horses. The two events seamlessly link together, memories that shouldn’t be broken. I love the ambience of this place, the attentive and courteous staff who deal with things such as food allergies with incredible care and expertise. Last Christmas this was the only time I was able to eat a Christmas dinner out, they took the effort to replace the things I couldn’t eat with the things I could, sounds so simplistic, but few get it quite like this team.

Stayed 3 nights. The staff are helpful and friendly although some of the girls were dressed more like they were going to the gym or off out on a night out. The food is really nice and the restaurant area was lovely. The rooms are nice and well designed but don't be fooled by the pictures on the website they're not as big as they appear in the pictures and we booked the room with the outside space which not exactly private it's overlooked from the road and although its slightly set aside from the beer garden with a bit of a hedge but it is still overlooked and we did have more than one lot of people trying to walk through our room thinking it was the way into the pub and when we were trying to have a nice relaxing evening outside one night there were 6 kids swinging off the railings, staring at us and running up to play hide and seek under our table.

A very overly hyped pub hotel that sadly does not live up to expectations for a £175 per night stay. Hotel room was clean & pleasantly decorated but a few issues: wardrobe door hanging off its hinge at the bottom; toilet-roll holder constantly fell off its mount; very soft mattress that made the bed uncomfortable overall; only possible to watch one channel on the room’s TV (BBC 1) ; noisy air-con unit all night plus no option to open the bedroom windows (yes, we were on the first floor but it should be possible to open them at least slightly for fresh air ventilation). We informed reception the next day of the issues & they just said “ok, we’ll look into it” — no apology. General attitude of the staff was nonchalant, lazy, insincere & borderline rude. Breakfast was mediocre & nothing to write home about either! Shame as this place could be so much better, in a wonderful location (very convenient too for us attending a nearby wedding). Would never stay here again.

Very much a village feel. A friendly place with a unique mix of locals and hotel guests that works really well. Great staff and the new chef has improved the food significantly. Definitely worth a visit, you'll feel welcome.

Had gone there for a quick lunch only to find my chicken kieve raw! I cut a small piece which felt a bit chewy and on cutting the next piece, the middle bit was completely raw! I felt sick knowing I had eaten raw meat. Luckily I was fine. The waitress offered to get me another one but I asked for something vegetarian!

Enjoyed our stay, food was nice, beer good and staff friendly and helpful would definately stay again as rooms we nice and clean and well kept.

Nice and cosy dining room with a interesting collection of books adorning the shelves which was complimented by the warm fireplace. We didn't have the food that was on offer, but the ambience and friendliness of the staff was already 5 stars!

Not bad but quite posh and old fashioned. I liked The Greyhound pub better, which is on the other side of Kew Green from the Coach and Horses. Also the parking was much easier outside The Greyhound.

Great food, lots of tables, good atmosphere, amazing location! However calling ahead to book a table caused a bit of confusion, do tables need to be booked or not, I shall never know…

Large coaching inn sensitively converted into a hotel and modernised internally but retaining the original features and layout. Main bar serves well kept beers and has a warm, convivial atmosphere enhanced by a wonderful open fire which is kept well stoked in winter. Good food and friendly service.

Very cozy pub delicious food.

Really disappointed that they won't help accommodate my late checkout request for my wedding day! I had such high expectations! :C Really poor — I wouldn't recommend using for a special occasion — I really thought they would do all they could to make my stay extra special after I noted the booking was for my wedding! :/

The food menu is quite limited but what there is is well prepared.

We had dinner and breakfast here during our stay and both were exceptional. The rooms were spacious and cosy, the decor was tasteful, and the shower was great. Parking is provided underneath the hotel and Wi-Fi is free throughout. I will be back again to eat at the restaurant soon. Highly recommend.

I didn't like the food there. Look ok on the plate, but it didn't taste fresh. Gravy taste like water with some flavour. The vegetables have not been cooked properly. Low standards. I don't reccomend this place for the food, but is fine for a drink. The Pub is quit specious for large groups. Booking required. Friendly staff.

Charming pub on Kew Green. Warm and has a lovely room off to the left full of books and comfy sofa seating. Decent selection of beers and ales on tap.

Early Sunday evening party of four. Great fish and chips, fine steak and burger with sharing platter of roast vegetables. Desserts great especially the Apple and cranberry crumble with custard.

I enjoyed our visit to this English pub which was very busy and had a good atmosphere. The food was what I could call acceptable.

Lovely boutique hotel. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Lovely hotel, stones throw away from Kew Gardens. Lots of seating in the pub area. Breakfast was slow, waiting a while for food to come.

A super nice old house. Right by the Botanical Garden. It is located in the entrance lane of Heathrow, but the noise is kept within limits of a road is louder. Highly recommended.

I had dinner here on a Monday night, parking was easy (which it usually is not) and had a great meal with good service. Recommend.

Hotel was excellently presented, clean and offered good extras. However while some staff were welcoming and had a sense of humour others didnt seem to care. Food particularly the meal we had in the evening was very poor and we ended up leaving half of it. Breakfast was much better. Overall for its price point it was just ok. I kinda wanted more service for the price. Not sure if we would go again, it is however well situated for travel.

Beautiful pub with garden at the front and back. Im stay 3 nights for my wedding at the end of the month. It was a hot and busy bankholiday weekend when we visited however, and the service to get food was terrible. Food itsself was devine though!

Lovely hotel, pub, restaurant. Every member of staff was friendly and helpful, our room was decorated beautifully and was very comfortable. Great breakfast everything you could ask for and served hot. Highly recommend.

Distinctly average chain pub. Serves all the usual suspects. Cash machine never works. Nice garden at the back of the pub.

This is my second stay at this hotel and it was great. The rooms are a good size, well appointed, comfy and well priced. The location is perfect for a visit to Kew Gardens or the National Archives and it's a 10 minute walk to district line trains into central London. The breakfast is excellent and the staff efficient.

We had room 25 which appears to be affected by kitchen extract ducting. This constant loud humming makes for a not so restful stay. Better to be located on ground floor or lower numbered rooms. Fan switched off at 12 midnight. Room itself very comfortable and well appointed. Next time we'll try for room 1.

Pub: Range of beers is reasonable, and a few change regularly. Ciders are limited to one on draft and the usual bottled. Food is good, I especially recommend the smoked haddock, as well as the usual suspects of fish and chips and burgers. I haven't tried the steaks here. The bar, library and restaurant area are all different and there should be something to suit everyone. Pet and child friendly. Staff are friendly. I recommend the library myself on a rainy day — pick a book off the shelves and pass the time. Outside the front is pleasant on a summer's evening, sitting in the last of sun.

I walked in 9:30 after seeing a sign that said breakfast was served up till 10am. I asked the bartender if we could please order food, she did not greet me with a welcoming attitude at all, and her response was "order quick because the chef is technically off". My full English I paid £10 for came and it was was more like a half English breakfast. There was only half a TINY mushroom, one egg, one saussage, half a TINY tomato, half a slice of deep fried toast that was a mouthful of oil, a slither of black pudding, not to mention a thimble sized portion of baked beans. Definetly not coming back!

I'm loving my single room! Mum and I are visiting Kew gardens today. We drove up and will be able to leave car in underground car park here at the hotel even when we've booked out and are at Kew. Room is perfect … lovely feel, sparklingly clean and fresh and has everything I need and want. We had dinner at Anthony Warrell Thompson grill over the road … Fantastic. Really delighted with our choice of Coach and Horses. Mum plans to come here when she visits London again.

Second stay at this place and nothing but good times. Will be back… Again!

Dreadful! The food was seriously bad. We ended up with no bill because it was all so inedible. It's such a shame they have put so much effort into the new restaurant but no effort whatsoever into the cooking. Steer clear!

A great pub, have been for drinks and breakfast before (two separate occasions! ) Lovely staff and nice atmosphere.

Very comfortable, well decorated and clean room and shower. Staff attentive and efficient. Would not and will not hesitate to recommend to family and friends. Breakfast excellent both days.

This is a review for the pub, not the hotel — as a local I can't say I've ever needed to stay there :) Nice local pub, with a decent range of beer and wine, bar with subdued lighting and an open fire — ideal for a quiet pint or two in good company, not so good if you're looking for a lively night out.
