I give two stars just for the location and kindness of the staff. When we arrived we thought we had the wrong place instead… The building is old and battered and the rooms are like saying. 'minimal' (even if clean). The place is really cramped and there is a persistent smell of closed. The breakfast room is small (which is already seen in other b&bs) and the food unfortunately is not very varied.
It's a shame because to visit London the location is really good. It is located in zone three on the Northetn line.
I've come to London so many times and although prices have gone up in recent years, I think it's better for the same expense. I'm not coming back here.

Spooky place: looks haunted from the outside.

Good hotel for just sleeping/shower. Some blackspots on the sealants in the bathroom. But that's it.

The room was clean and well made up, and the bed comfortable. The outside of the building could have used a bit of maintenance. It's proximity to Golders Green station makes it easy and convenient to find, it seems geared towards Jewish guests so the breakfast was not a full English, more cheeses, salad vegetables, fruit and yoghurt. I stayed on a Friday night so my breakfast was on the Sabbath, and since it was Passover as well, no bread or cereal. Definitely healthy!

The staff the beds are just the best.

Nice buffet breakfast selection, all kosher food. Very central for London, walk is 10 minutes to Golders Green Underground Station, National Express coaches, and several bus routes. Free on-site car parking.

It is Zone 3 although the bus and the subway are close but compared to the price is OK. I would go again as there is good attention and the hotel was good, better than I expected by the ratings.

Structure dated outside, but comfortable inside, though essential. Breakfast Not a real hotel but to be in London great value for money.

Shower leaked and sprayed all around bathroom. Drafts through windows… reception was helpful… but I would not stay again.

"There are no toxic assets: just toxic prices. " Whoever coined that line never visited Central Hotel, otherwise they might've been less certain of themselves. Central Hotel poses this question: 'Is there a point at which the awfulness of something can be forgiven because it's so cheap? '

The outside looking is rather outdated, but the inside is very well maintained and neat. Breakfast was surprisingly good, with meals targeting to the Jewish community. Not far from Golders Green Interchange with connections to Victoria and Waterloo by bus. I really recommend the hotel.

Don’t be “fooled” by the outside looking, rather outdated. However, inside is well maintained, very neat and welcoming staff. I loved it.

Is there a point at which the overwhelming awfulness of something can be forgiven because its price is sufficiently cheap? 'It depends' is probably the answer. Central Hotel certainly poses the question.

Zone 3, a few minutes walk from the Northern stop, a twenty minute metro ride to central London. The staff were very kind and the room was clean. Breakfast adequate although with a few tables available at times it touched to wait for its turn. Acceptable considering the cost enough content.

Good value for money but could do with a little bit of tlc staff very pleasant short walk to tube & bus station.

Worth the money. Not the best looking place but, it serves well if you're just sleeping there. It is clean, the staff is nice and breakfast was pleasant.

The outer view could do with a bit more beautifying. But prices are okay for a slightly outside of London hotel. Good for budget.

Great value for the money. There're couple things they can improve, specially the sound isolation because I could hear a lot people from other rooms. Other than that, I really can't complain and the location is great! BTW you need to ask for the eggs/toasts if you want them.

I've known someone who is currently living here as he's still awaiting a new home from Barnet council. Despite living in Hampstead in my flat I also once stayed here … the rooms in the hotel are fantastic and their are good amenties friendly staff who do an excellent breakfast and staff work hard here… I will always give good comments because the hotel is proficient.

We went this weekend with my boyfriend… We were very shocked by the condition of our room and we only stayed the night:
The sheets had holes by cigarettes, carpets worn, mushrooms in all the bathroom, carpeted rooms full of traces, tapestry peeled, small TV from the 1990s etc… and so on PS: we had a few photos to support.
Fortunately we were able to found another hotel quickly the same evening! It wasn't in our budget, we still had to spend, but it was worth because that stay in a dirty room, isn't really respect the tourists.
The next day we talked with the caretaker of the hotel who wouldn't hear. We explained that it is false advertising because the photos seen on the net with the rooms are not what they attribute actually!
I hope no one will fall once again into the trap!

I visited a friend moved from Golders Green hotel Last week . This place incredibly caring large rooms some like studio flats and a breakfast cooked apparently by kind decent hard working staff. Good prices too compared with rip off health hazard Golders Green hotel according to my friend who's in a divorce awaiting a new home next month.

Very friendly staff, great breakfast. Rooms not modern but nice and clean. In a nut shell — loved it!
