Reviews of Central Park Hotel 3*
Avoid this hotel unless you want cash stolen from your personal belongings in your room. Staff don’t care and won’t look at CCTV or check what cleaners key card was used.
Cleaning services, bad attitude from one man in the lobby, paperthin walls so you can hear everything the neighb does and says.
It’s in a good location. Very close to the underground net work. We found using the Queensway stop was the best option. The staff in the hotel are very friendly & always helpful. We have used this hotel quite a few times and would definitely book again. The staff in the breakfast room are very efficient and also helpful. They have left luggage facility but we have never used it. The bar area was closed during our visit. Never seen that before.
Staff are very helpful and pleasant. Hotel us very clean with good size rooms.
The location for us was perfect and although we walked everywhere It was very close to 2 underground stations.
prices are amazing… will definitely be back.
The staff are so friendly and helpful … the hotel is pristine clean throughout… the rooms are well spacious and lovely decorated and spotless. All the social distance measures in place and well adheared too. The hotel is definetly top on my list to go again.
What a lovely place to be bedroom is fantastic no noise x.
Lovely hotel, clean rooms, great staff.
We missed our first night because we could't land in the storm, so we had to ad en extra night. The guy at the check-in help us and told us we would save money by buying the room via our booking site instead, and then helped us keep the same rooms.
Only negative was that they forgot to give us two big towels the last day.
The ugliest experience of my life. The night staff incredibly rude and I would add naughty. We paid for 3 nights but we slept there only 2 because the last one locked the door with our suitcases inside and our passports and blackmailed us saying that if they didn't pay extra they wouldn't open the room (room clearly paid for in advances po) they wanted to cheat us 250 euros under the excuse that they had evidence that we had smoked in the room (the proof was a tiny piece of ash) which clearly was already there behind the window, considering that the room was dirty. That sucks! Never again!
Have to say this is a great hotel location is great the shower is absolutely amazing even though the bathroom is a little small but it's not a major issue. Really the only problem we had with this hotel was the towels they were more of a hand towel rather than a bath towel but the staff were amazing and the hotel was spotless would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend this hotel.
Lovely hotel to stay … comfortable beds we had a good nights sleep … The breakfast was good too … The service was value for money… the staff were friendly… Would definitely stay at Central Park again.
Great location helpful staff just given what looked like hand towels rather than bath towels other than that our one night stay was amazing.
Where do we start? We arrived and were told that we could not have our booked (already paid for) room, because the carpets were being cleaned. So we were offered a "superior room" in the hotel opposite instead. We thought this would be great. However, superior in name only. It was a tiny room. I have been in bigger and better Premier Inns. The bathroom was not clean, there was a stain on the throw on the bed. The dressing table was small, and you couldn't open the bathroom door without hitting the shower. It was boiling hot, and we went into the lift to find a load of cleaning products randomly chucked on the floor. We then discovered our friend, who had paid the same price as us and had managed to get a standard room in the main hotel had a much bigger and better resources room than us! We were told we could have breakfast in the main hotel. Staff were rude and unhelpful. The cooked breakfast (at £15 a head) was measly, overcooked and dried out, and staff would only serve you if you had a certain colour ticket. The final, most worrying element was that none of their food at breakfast listed any ingredients or allergies. So when I went to get a bowl of fruit salad for breakfast, I sat down with it, only to discover strawberries in it (this initially looked like red apple at first glance) I am allergic to strawberries. Luckily I didn't eat it.
Great environment to those un-smokers.
We stayed here one night on the way to Germany. It wasn’t as nice, but had already booked for two nights when we were returning home to USA. The room is much larger and the bathroom, although small was very nice. If you can make a choice, the 1st floor is the way to go. It’s also walking distance from Paddington Station which is helpful.
Very calm and friendly atmosphere.
Great location and staff very friendly.
The location of the hotel is probably the best part of it… It's very close to Queensway Station but still not close to a loud street. The Rooms had a normal size for a London hotel, but actually not bigger than the rooms in some cheap hostel. The bed was large, but the mattress was quite uncomfortable. The furniture already had it's best days, but it's still ok. There wasn't much space in the bathroom. It had just a small sink, but the shower had regular size. The bathroom and the rest of the room were quite clean as well. The breakfast was pretty good, with a huge variety of different food. All in all I'd say, you're doing nothing wrong booking this hotel. You just not gonna have this "wow, this is a such a great hotel, I will remember it when I'm grey and old"-feeling.
DISAPPOINTED — The Central Park Hotel is definitely under par for a 3* hotel. The staff were rude, unhelpful and looked as though they couldn't wait to finish their shift. The room was small, scruffy and hot, with a television no bigger than an ipad. The bathroom was tiny knocking your limbs at every turn and the towels gave your face and body a good sanding they were so rough. Breakfast was served after you collected your dinner ticket in a gloomy dining room under the ground floor. The breakfast staff seemed to stand around doing nothing except to serve you a selection of hot breakfast rations which were of the cheapest variety and tasteless. I have previously stayed in 3* hotels for 1 or 2 night breaks which although basic have been adequate this hotel was not. The location was good for what we wanted to do but unfortunately we won't be returning.
Stayed here last year for my Christmas present from a friend. The hotel was really nice and clean and spacious. Our room, although on the smaller side, was clean and comfortable and had all the facilities we needed. The breakfast accommodated our dietary needs as we are vegetarians. Had a lovely time staying there.
The degree of service when I stayed there was quite good. When it comes to the room it's extremely hot which made me loose vital sleep and it went so far as to mess up my sleep rytm. The duvet is too warm and the pillows are like concrete! And no AC! Sleep is extremely important to me and the result is that in the last couple of days I've started to feel the effects of sleep deprivation because of this. Overall this hotel is quite the money machine for the owners and not a lot of service for the guest staying.
DO NOT STAY IN THIS PLACE! I wouldn’t call this a hotel. If I could give them zero stars I would! The rooms have no AC and during summer it’s hotter inside than outside. But of course people at the front desk dont get it since they have AC in the lobby and AC in all the halls! Customer service was terrible. When I asked them about the AC, they rudely reply saying this was a 3 star hotel and we couldn’t expect them to have AC. After we checked in, we wanted to take a shower because of the heat inside the room and there were no towels in the bathroom. We called the front desk and they say we had to leave a sign at the door the next day and wait for the towels! INCREDIBLE! Worst Place to stay in London.
Would like to put a zero!
So it’s July 2018, this hotel has no air con… Just paid £300 for 2 nights and apparently we don’t have air con as we’re in a ‘Standard room’…
When it comes to ordering room service that’s a whole other can of worms. Just hope that you don’t get through to Lavinia when calling down, no people skills, rude & unhelpful!
How this place is still here I do not know.
Great service and amazing rooms! Really conveniently places to tube services and 24hr hotel staff are around! Very helpful and great overall stay!
I would never recommend the Central Park Hotel to anyone. It's so small. The fridge doesn't work and we have bed cover completely covered my pants in white fluff. We asked for the fridge to be fixed, spoke to 3 people all with blank stares. We asked for a new room, they advised there was nothing they could do. It was stupid of me to pay in advance. This is a terrible way to end what was a fantastic time in the UK.
Hotel Ideally located 100 meters from the metro line Central and 300 meters from the metro line Circle. Kensington Gardens/Hyde Park are 30 metres away!
The structure is not bad, it is modern and in good general condition.
The rooms are narrow and long: so there is a lot of space between the bed and the window but little between the bed and the wall in front of the bed; For the same reason the bathroom is very narrow, so that the sink is very small with little space to support soap, razor, toothbrushes, etc. The toilet is "wedged" between the wall and the shower box in a really minimal space.
The shower instead is very spacious, probably because it was put in place of the previous bathtub.
The main problem is the unbearable heat that is felt in the room on sunny days due to the exposure south of half of the rooms and the fact that the windows can only open for a few inches. The absence of air conditioning in the rooms makes the climate almost Ferragostano, which is suffered even at night.
Good reception, clean rooms but to renovate, the aisles of the rooms and the restaurant would be to restore in modern. Even the rooms besides.
We just checked in. It looks nothing like the photos online. Our carpet is bright blue and the hallways are dark — carpet is worn, wallpaper peeling, unmanned housekeeping carts and tables of towels lined the walls and didn't look like they'd be moving. My husband just pulled a piece of toilet paper out of the wall — it had been used to fill a hole in the wall instead of the hotel doing an actual repair. The website shows that rooms have air conditioning. It's a lie. Our room on the 7th floor is hot, and we walked in to the window cracked and a small fan blowing. When the thermostat did nothing I called the front desk. The concierge said there is no air conditioning at the hotel. The door to the cabinet with the refrigerator looks like it's about to fall off. Folks, it's a dive and nothing like it's presented online. At least the bathroom isn't gross, I guess. That's actually nice-looking.
Slow and unprofessional reception. We got there and AFTER being charged were informed that they would send us to another hotel since they had "problems". After objecting we got another room which was horrible — uncomfortable and with single beds only. Stay away.
The hotel is really good for people that came to hit get to know the town. Is near some underground stations, restaurants and convenience stores. And you also can walk to some sightseeings due it's locations. The room is good enough for cool down after a day walk around. The staff is really good, very helpful, my group don't speak english fluently and they explained everything patiently. The restaurant it's a life saver for those with jet lag and meals times all messed.
What a bunch of unfriendly amateurs. Luckily I'm a very upbeat person with a lot of patience or I would have demanded a refund. We arrived before check-in and asked if we could leave our bagage there, she looked at us as if we were arrogant and didn't even try to help us. When we arrived in the evening around 8u30 pm we were barely greeted. The man at the reception (buddha) told us we booked two singleperson rooms. This wasn't true (we booked a doubleroom with 2 beds) and even when we confronted him with our verification e-mail, he still said we were wrong. After a lot of discussion, a woman from the reception helped us (sort of friendly) and said that we were indeed right and that there were maintenance problems in the rooms. No further explanation. Tomorrow morning WE have to make sure to remember the staff that we want a double room. This isn't our job! Next they gave us both a card with the same roomnumber on it. Again… a mistake. We don't even know now where breakfast is in the morning. Again. A jov they didn't do. I don't even want to know what kind of breakfast we will be served here tomorrow, based on our experience now, we don't expect much.
The hotel is great to reach Queensway and Bayswater are within walking distance of 3min. The service is very professional and at the same time friendly. To the room I had you could already feel the 3Sterne standard but if you are in London you should not be in the room to be sour… Beds are comfortable, I slept well.
A nice hotel, I would recommend it if you go around the corner. Good service and good reception.
Staff are friendly and helpful, the beds are perfect and the rooms are just the right size for the purpose of my stay. What I like is the fact that there is a fridge in the rooms. Breakfast is nice and not overly priced for hotels in London. All in all a very pleasant stay.
Decent value for the money. The location is EXCELLENT! in a good neighbourhood and in a close proximity to two metro stations. There is a usable bar in the lobby with some beers on tap. The rooms are the usual London hotel rooms: small and awkward. But the baths are recently renovated and very very good. There was a safe and a hairdrier and free Wi-Fi. My only beef with the rooms is that the beds were too short. I'm not a tall guy: about 1.80m but my feet were hanging outside. And it was also very warm. In an uncontrollable way. And last but not least the walls were not soundproof. But it's a good value so not a bad hotel for the price range.
Nice place to go and stay in London. Staff was very efficient, rooms were nice and clean and beds were comfortable. The reason I am giving them 3 star is because when you stay in rooms in basement, you constantly hear luggage being dragged by people checking out. If you can ignore this, it's good place to go, queensway station is in close proximity and you can go to bus station as well which is just outside the hotel.
The rooms are nice and clean, very comfortable beds, and the housekeeping is flawless. They cleaned my room every single day, and made it look new again. The reception staff is great as well, very friendly and knowledgeable. The only downside are the bar staff. They seem kinda new, and they don't have the best attitude. Location wise, it's close to many great restaurants, and this area is more like a tourist hub. It has 2 subway stations about 2 and 5 minutes walk respectively. Queensway and Bayswater. My overall experience, apart from the bar staff, awesome! Would definitely stay here again in future.
The disaster started by giving us a room (on the first floor) with a double bed and in the reservation clearly two separate beds were ordered from each other. Everything was no problem and had to fix with a walk to the front desk, even if the lady was somewhat schnippischer in her tone. The second room where we were allotted was then in the basement. Also no problem, we thought to ourselves as we walked down the basement aisle.
The basement room turned out to be more like a windowless hole, where a staircase directly behind the front door led into the completely dark room (beware of danger of falling). A positive feature is the (really) newly renovated bathroom with a large shower, unfortunately it lacked a door which was lockable. Also a point to be emphasized was the fact that we had our very own emergency exit, which ended in a closet where the dust bunnies bustled from which another door went off (God knows where to get out then). Everything is tolerable, for the fact that one is only to stay in the hotel and otherwise the city looks, even if one has not actually booked in a youth hostel. But when we did the fatal error and because of the concern that at night the oxygen shortage window would go out, the ventilation turned on, we stood in a dust cloud, traversed by wool mice that hovered from the closet, which probably has been for years and days Dust. The fact that the barrel has been overflowing is self-evident.
Price performance is okay! Room very small but clean! The location is very good.
Excellent location, very friendly staff. Habtaciones small but comfortable.
Good location But a number of rooms are underground and no windows. The reception staff lacks experience.
Comfortable room for three, brand new bathroom, super king bed and pillow choice. A little chilly the room but they fixed it with an electric heater (which was already in the room and we didn't have to ask) Great central location price on booking very convenient.
Rooms are stunning and very clean. Hotel is in a great location, restaurants and bars and shops can easily be at reach. Bar in hotel is really nice and bar staff are helpful and friendly. We did have dinner there which was very nice. Breakfast is very over priced so we didn't bother with having that as you can find cheaper outside hotel. Reception staff and concierge team and not very friendly Bearly talk to you. Wasn't. Dry welcoming when we arrived.
The hotel itself is very well located close to the subway. Close to many restaurants and cafes where you can eat well and relatively cheap. Also a convenient supermarket nearby. The rooms were small but clean, bathroom also small but ok. The shower was great, we would have preferred to take home with us. The breakfast however is far too expensive and also not good. If, then without having to book breakfast, there are many options nearby very good and cheap to have breakfast. All in all, the hotel has good value for money and we would book it again. The staff were moderately friendly and the maid did not speak English, therefore only four stars. Nevertheless, the bottom line is recommended.
It was a great place to be. Average Hotel, clean and very spacious rooms.
Very ugly hotel. No maintenance. But the worst was the attention at the front desk. There is no way they try to communicate if you do not speak English, except when I started a complaint about Booking, at that time they sent a person to the room that spoke Spanish to tell them my discontent, a shame because it was the last day of my stay was the worst ho Tel where we were staying. Not a cheap hotel it is an expensive hotel with a service and a little category facilities.
It was a very nice Hotel, very dirty and different from what was planned. Small anecdote: Room Service: Caesar Salad 8.50 Euros and with chicken it's 12 euros! But is Caesar not already chicken in it? Laughing out loud.
The hotel was not what you see in the pictures but the room was comfortable and well equipped. Good location.
Acceptable hotel with dated lobby, elevators, rooms and bar. Reasonably clean and appears to be okay. Beds are comfy enough, not to soft. Bathroom are factually small, maybe to small. Definitely if your dimensions are a above average. Breakfast is pretty standard, no surprises and not really innovative so sort of dull. Looking for a sort of okay hotel? You found it. It could improve with a facelift and modernisation.
Nice quiet room with comfortable bed, TV, fridge, safe, kettle etc. Spotless bathroom with wonderful shower. Excellent breakfast in the spacious dining room. Stayed here before and will do so again when I next visit London. Recommended.
Value for money in order, good room facilities (modern bathroom, TV, safe, fridge, hair dryer, kettle with cups and coffee and tea), easy to reach by tube and bus, located directly at Hyde Park, shopping and restaurants in Close proximity.
So we checked in this hotel for 2 nights requested one room with a bath tub and one with shower we got both showers! on 7th floor room was small, horrible, hot, stuffy, noisy I could hear other people from their rooms … when we asked reception what is going on I had rang especially few days before to confirm and receptionist said yes one bath room one shower room booked and will be ready for you… receptionist I spoke to was very rude and unhelpful. Disgusting behavior full of attitude! I then got well rooms are fully booked we will let you know if there is one available and you can then change tomorrow. So we had to sleep in that horrible room for 1 night and then in the morning we got told to empty the room for 11am because they have a room on ground with bath available. Which was way better then the first room definitely recommend ground floor rooms! *just to add — when I did try speaking to the manager about the issue he decided to flirt with me although I have told him my fiance is with me! when he asked who have you come with — awful! but great location and comfy beds and ground floor rooms are A1 :) )
Excellent location, clean and comfortable and very personal. Courteous, it's a great choice for a short stay. The rooms are not great but it has really good prices!
3 star Basic But super well placed central and close to Hyde Park.
However very small bathrooms barely place to change everything else OK.
Dear Central Park Hotel, you're the worst. The people working at the reception seem dull and you have to do all of the thinking if you want even the tiniest thing from them. We asked for another blanket because in a room for three people we had two, and after asking four times they finally provided us with a thin and unclean one. Also: everything was done (if it was done) terribly slow. And when we were in a situation where we were in desperate need for their help, the hotel didn't do anything and wouldn't even try to be helpful. What kind of service is that? Next time I will be sure to book a different one. Terrible!
We were given a room here after booking at a sister hotel, which had faults with their rooms. This room was great, amazing staff and great location. The only thing I would have preferred is not to have stayed in the basement as it was a little claustrophobic, but this was out of their control :) would definitely stay again!
For a 3 star hotel C is not top in 2 days the fire alarm rang 4 times of which 2 times at 3 H of the mat and 4h in the double room bed the socket near the bed does not work so no laptop lengthened then in the room of water No Toothbrush provided no brush to clean in WC C is sure I would never put the feet back.
Location was great. Rooms were always clean, small toilet but perfectly OK. Service was also good.
No bad surprise, breakfast too expensive staff nice even if you regret that there is not someone who speaks French, room correct and very clean even if there are small task of mold to the ceiling of the bathroom.
Good. The hotel is in a great quiet location but very close to 2 metro stations! The only drawback is that the rooms have drywall walls and you hear everything going on in the room next door and housekeeping are not accurate and happen around 3pm which is a bit late.
Good location with two nearby metro stations, shops and restaurants in the surrounding streets. The room was clean and the bathroom was good. Breakfast was good for two or three days. The reception very bad, they say they do not speak Spanish or make any effort for it when in the information of Booking they assure that they speak five languages, Spanish among them. Speak more Spanish the responsible who keeps the bags while you assign room to the reception. Why is that?
Two stars is generous. Cigarette smoke, walls that transmit every word of the drunk lady in the next room at 0200 hrs, short mattress and crowded room. Location, location, location! If you absolutely can't afford a $30 plus-up, stay here. Otherwise… The desk staff were friendly and efficient and rate 4 stars. Also plenty of places to eat very nearby.
A hotel with very good communication close to Hyde Park, breakfast buffet quite acceptable, small rooms but quite modern. Very nice in the deal.
It was my fault really. I should have done more research. Did not realise that we were booking the type of hotel that rents rooms out by the hour! We had 3 rooms and my poor husband who was sharing the room with my young son has orgies take place in the room next door all 3 nights all night. When he complained to reception it stopped for a little while then started again. The room was dirty, the TV remote had tape holding the batteries in place, the safe did not work, the kettle did not boil, the cupboard that the fridge was in had no ventilation holes and therefore got very hot. A fire hazard. The shower was clogged, the staffed were not happy to be there, they took too much money out of my account, the breakfast was horrible and they charged us 12pounds for the privilege. The staff were not interested in sorting anything out. Don't go there.
Good value for money.
Excellent location, tube station is very handy. Well connected by public transport too. Very near to the Hyde park. The room was small and congested. The entrance to the room had such a small place, we could hardly take the pushchair in. Rest the room was neat n clean, comfy bed, had a safe in the room. Desk staff was OK. Overall stay OK.
Very deficient and careless. Quality with Price is not the same; It was a scam. Value for money worse than impossible!
Have stayed here really cheap and well. Breakfast is not recommended.
Because credit card payments are made in euros, their excessive conversion fees are implicitly offset against the invoice amount! — Be sure to insist on credit card statement in pounds!
The location is very good. The room was not OK. We had dirty duvets (stains on it and hair). The water is a disaster in the morning you can not adjust it warm or cold there was only lukewarm water and the shower did not run off. The shower was broken (door closing didn't go) breakfast is a bit poor for continental you have the choice between salami or cheese cornflakes or jam.
I received and I paid 2 night. After which he reported me not having a room. They made me go out to sleep in an unsanitary hotel, with broken windows and poorly located. They are practicing thieves overbooking and sending poor unhappy having chosen a night here in partner hotels. And no chance of repayment or litigation in England.
In addition. Very rude They see take up crook and thieves.
When paying in euros you pay rather high expenses — do not book breakfast but try out the extensive offers in the area — tastes better and is cheaper — rooms are OK if you just want to sleep indoors.
Definitely a good compromise for those who want a comfortable hotel near the center of London in a location where all the transportation is very close. Average value for money. It's not great. We only slept, at first they had put us in the basement (a floor underneath the hotel, in some kind of basement) but had no windows and the room was too small. Then the quality leap, directly to the top floor with a triple room as greatness. Services in the media, nothing to criticize.
It was very nice, but the room was very good and we had no windows or adequate ventilation and we had Q use the aircon all the time.
Not bad. Within the expected of the English hotels… Clean room and bathroom also, except that they did not change the sheets daily as they do here. Otherwise good.
They might be bothered to cater to clients in other languages. They don't even try. The bathroom is overwhelming. Breakfast is always the same. Good the quiet and of course the location.
Rooms are a bit narrower than expected but are very clean as well as the bathroom. Great with kettle, hair dryer, fan and TV.
My wife and I went to London and really didn't know what to expect with this hotel. We were pleasantly surprised. Although they offer no AC, which was a bit of a bummer, the staff brought us extra fans so we were still quite comfortable in our room. It's located close to the subway so getting downtown or to Buckingham Palace doesn't take long and Hyde park is a beautiful place to walk in the evenings. This hotel is also close to the bus stops and within walking distance of Notting Hill and other charming places. We would definitely stay here again.
A good modern hotel with bar and luggage storage facilities. Helpful and courteous staff. Good location with tube stations nearby. Even the Paddington station is quiet near so it's easy to travel to and from airport using the Heathrow Express train.
Cheap price but not worth the 3 stars.
We are still staying at the hotel at the time of writing. We stayed in a double room, whilst the room is pretty basic, going by London's standard it is quite big enough to put 2/3 large suitcases. Similarly the toilet is basic but very functional, I would certainly stay here again if it's just the 2 of us. The main reason I would recommend is the accessibility, 2 tube stations and bus stops nearby plus a major British Railway station not too far away at Paddington.
I needed a simple spartan room for a few days. Registration is completely incompetent. The clerk billed someone else's credit card and I fortunately caught it for her. Then she didn't know I had reserved the room. Then she didn't know `what' room, `what' rate or how long. Then she gave me two key cards. Neither worked and I had to return to the registration desk. Then, after finally getting unpacked another couple, with a working key card, unlocked my door, entered the room and were surprised to see me there. They had also been assigned this room. And had had a key. What if I had left the room with my luggage, computer, etc and they weren't so nice. Finally, after returning from an early dinner … my key card didn't work again. The air conditioning did not work. The room was stuffy and hot. But the room itself was adequate and clean.
Very good value for money. Very close to the metro station and the bus. Very quiet.
Great location with Queensway tube just 1 minute away. Proper beds were fine but 3rd bed (fold up) was what you'd expect. It was warm without the window open but it is August. No problems with noise from adjoining rooms.
Location
Very basic rooms. No bedside tables and few lights!
The hotel has dated since the photos were taken. For the money, this place is pretty basic. If you are looking to be central and just need a bed, then sure, it works… otherwise nothing to ring home about. Staff who checked us in looked like she would rather not be there.
The room was so hot and uncomfortable. The windows don't open all the way, so you can't get a breeze. The bed in the room was awful and the pillows were rock hard. Customer service was by far the worst I have ever dealt with. They were not very nice or helpful. The complimentary breakfast did not taste fresh. Do not stay here. There are plenty of other great 3 star hotels in Westminister.
This hotel is so poor in quality. The staff were extremely unhelpful and rude! The room was very small and there was no air con. We had a fan in the room that didn't pass the electrical test so therefore was a fire hazard. The lady on reception was extremely rude. Checked out this morning and we were not even acknowledged for leaving! Handed the key cards, said our room number and all we got was "OK". Wouldn't recommend this hotel at all! We are a young couple that had a fantastic time on London city but accommodation was so poor!
Excellent location close to Queensway Metro station (Central line)
Clean room and bathroom
But I was in a new or renovated area.
The room is windowless but you don't suffer there is a fantastic bright panel.
I thought it was going to be worth our money and stay me and my friend stayed here for 4 nights and it was awful staff are terrible as well rooms aren't the best. We stayed on the 4th floor and it was terrible had no air conditioning on had to get a fan in our room we also didn't get breakfast in the hotel we had to pay £10 each day we went for breakfast, key cards didn't work 4 times we had to get it fixed was rubbish also when me and my friend went back to the hotel for bit of privacy n peace and quite housekeeping rudely walked in without knocking on our door first which wasn't very nice I'm never staying good here again I wouldn't recommend it to an6 not even my family!
Stayed for two nights and after reading some of the reviews I wasn't expecting much, but I was pleasantly surprised, the room was clean and tidy with a decent comfortable bed and the staff seemed helpful enough, I will say that we ordered food at the lobby bar but I am not sure you would class it as food it was by far the worst burger and chips I have had and an average pizza. But overall with the decent room and excellent location and cheap price I will be using it again.
The inside is beautiful, but the rooms are incredibly small. Our shower drain wasnt eorkingand when we called, they said maintence would be up, they didnt come till the next morning. The beds are old and uncomfy. The walls are thin. Breakfast is a joke.
Some rooms are renovated but others are poor but the main problem is the concierge desk where it looks like customers are molested or a disorder! Very unprofessional
P. S. Sometimes they give the same key to more people and you are strangers in the room at night!
Well located, a bit small room. Balanced Breakfast-Buffet.
No real recommendation. Too expensive, ancient 70s years establishment, mini rooms with obviously different renovation condition. One plus: it was fairly clean. Breakfast (10 pounds) was typical acceptable (2/5 P. ). Sure not to come back, there are also cheaper 'Youth hostel style'. (private, 41-50, J. )
There are not many amenities, everything is a little shabby, the floor we stayed on had very low ceilings like a hobbit hole or that bit from John Malkovitch, and there is a funny smell. The noise is also a problem, with a lot of noise from the street below, and a loud air conditioning unit. Don't get me wrong, it's quite clean, very close to Hyde Park, which is nice, and the staff are friendly, but this is a hotel and nothing more.
My Boyfriend and I stayed at the Central Park Hotel for two weeks. Arriving back in the UK last week was rather depressing after having such a great time! Kudret, the owner and head chef, makes you feel so welcome and will do anything for you during your stay there. The hotel's facilities are excellent, boasting a great sized pool, lovely rooms with all the mod cons and an excellent restaurant which presents great, reasonably priced food everyday. Kudret's menu is very extensive, providing a range of foods from local Turkish cuisine (which is fab) to a good old fillet steak and chips.
Very easy to reach by Metro, beds were clean and comfortable, friendly staff earlier put things in order, so we can go to the store. Every few minutes the bus departing from the bottom of the road, the next time you stay here, breakfast very good, food you want it there.
The lobby is pretty much what you see in the pictures, but certainly not the rooms. Beds are really old, and one of them has a hole with the spring sticking out. I was trying to save a few dollars and thought how bad can the hotel be based on the pictures, but regretted. Not dirty, but not clean either. Occasionally has hairs on the fresh towels, which we found out when we dry ourselves after shower. Breakfast not many chooses and they don't allow you bring food back to the room. I did it anyway and brought the plates back down. TV is about 15 inches, mounted on wall pretty far from bed. The lobby and the bar are nice. The main person, a guy, is pretty knowledgeable with the tour suggestions, but not the lady who also work at the check in. If I could choose again, I probably would try alternative given if I pay a bit more.
I moved to this hotel with a buddy after he was robbed at the Queens Park Hotel (an inside job! ) across the street. Apart from the robbery, the rooms were tiny with various facilities is disrepair and no resolution when brought to the manager's attention. The Central Park Hotel was magnificent in contrast. Larger rooms, all facilities functioned, great rain head shower, superb bed. Polite and helpful staff. Nice bar area and a great buffet breakfast included. Better pricing than the Queens Park. Stay here at the Central Park Hotel — you won't regret it!
I recently spent 3 nights at this hotel, and I was very pleased. The area is quite. The hotel is close to 2 underground stations, restaurants and other facilities. The hotel has a bar, fast elevators, free Wi-Fi and excellent breakfast. I liked my refurbished room very much, large with airco. Especially I could appreciate the approach and service of the management and staff. Particularly the approach of the GM, Mrs. Meltzer, and a gentleman from the Reception, Francis, made my stay even better. They both do know that Services starts when the standard work has been done… I will definitely be back in this hotel.
Good location, awful hotel. Rooms are hot and outlets are broken. Staff is complacent and do the bare minimum to keep their jobs. Rooms are small and bland. Bellhop 'Abdul' has little to no manners and is incredibly rude. Due to an issue with our first room (no power) we switch rooms and they held our luggage while we left for the day. When we returned they had us fetch our own luggage from the store room after waiting for the bellhop to arrive and did not help as I carries up 4 suitcases up a flight of stairs (trying to get the room ready for the family). Avoid at all costs.
The bathroom is extremely small. Something fat people can't really move (not recommended). If the toilet paper is re-inserted, you could not on the bowl! No Wi-Fi in the rooms (would have to separate to be paid). Breakfast is mass processing — better something in the city to have Breakfast. + Our hotel room was really clean. We had no Ruhestörungen from adjacent rooms or from the street. The Subway was only a few metres away. Even closer is the bus stop, which is also very good for the journey into the centre can be used.
We thought the walls were paper thin but there must have been a vent between the two rooms because when the room next door started smoking the smoke came through into our room right next to where my mine my wife's and our 18 month old daughters heads were. When I complained the staff refused to move us into another room, reception hung up on me and then stopped picking up the phone. When I went down to the desk they had no interest in doing anything about it, apart from asking the room next door to stop smoking, they just told me to see the manager the next day. I saw the manager the next day who refused to offer me any sort of resolution. He told me that I would receive a phone call the following day, two days later still no one has called me. Woke up, un-rested, stressed and our hair and clothes stinking of cigarette smoke. No smoke alarms in the rooms, and the rooms were sweltering hot all night. Thin small scratchy towels.
The ONLY good thing about this hotel is the location. No welcoming ambience to this place. No air conditioning except for basement. The carpet is old and smelly; some of the rudest staff;non nutritious breakfast; water leak in front of room door that was not fixed for 4 days; Wifi that was sporadic:Room decor is non existent. Don't be fooled by Internet pictures. This was the worst leg of our European vacation.
Spent three nights at the hotel this weekend. Ok, but small room. The English breakfast was good, but not excellent. Personnel were friendly. Price ok. Temperature in the rooms were very high throughout the days, and an AC system would be their best investment for more stars.
Terrible place, with poorly structured rooms and furniture draughty/course: light bulbs, bathroom fan broken, TV not working and so on; to underline the very poor lighting that makes it impossible to even read a book.
Breakfast is awful with drinks often watered down and poor quality food.
The location is awkward and fronting on a pretty shabby. Despite the underground and bus stops near it takes very long to get to the main sights and museums of London.
In my case I was in a small room placed almost on the street, on the first floor, and to get there I had to cross a basement and an emergency exit, like I'm abandoning the respectable wing of the Palace.
There are definitely better places at the same (not low) price.
Good location, but very small room. Very hot and no air con although they provide a fan, but I can't feel the "wind" at all. Never come back.
This is a 3 star hotel just a few meters from "Hyde Park" and not far from the famous area of "Notting Hill". The hotel is very charming and the rooms aren't bad, the good thing is that you reach every attraction/monument in minutes.
Hôtel a bit noisy, but everything is fine. Good english breakfast. The room was small but cleaned. Bathrom was refurbished. Not too expensive as breakfast was included. There is also a luggage room to keep luggage after checking out and free of charge.
Stayed at this hotel last April and complained that the toilets were not working. Got no satisfaction from the rude front desk and had to leave for another hotel. We were told there was only one room available in the basement and we would not want to be down there. Stayed at the Hilton down the street with courteous service and rooms that were impeccable. Learned a lesson in that you get what you pay for. I see the service and cleanliness has not changed. How in the world are these hotels allowed to stay open.
Not bad for this price. Excellent location near underground. Very silent and beautiful place. Normal continental breakfast. But they had problem with luggage room control.
Hotel worthless. Run away from this hotel! The advertised pictures do not tell the truth. The bed linen is dirty and the bed is old, noisy and uncomfortable. The facilities are good only in the lobby. Inside the room is old, and unused. There is no air conditioning. The bathroom is old and dirty. Employees make so much noise at the time of cleaning it impossible to sleep. Rude and discourteous service. There is no internet in the rooms. Neither paid internet works and they do not reimburse.
BED BUGS — enough said. Do not go here! Manager very rude. Staff is rude. The only person who was at all nice and accommodating was the night bar tender. BED BUGS — we physically saw the bugs in the room. Caught one, told the reception ladies, who didn't care. We asked if this was normal and she said no, that other people would complain. From reading the other reviews. It looks like people do complain, they just don't care.
This is, by far, the worst hotel that I've ever been. As soon as we arrived we met the first problem on the hotel: they gave us the keys to the room 321 but ours were 312. After a long flight, that was not the reception that we were waiting. After that we met a very poor breakfast. The internet is very expensive and very slow. The rooms are very small. They are very hot when the windows are closed, and very cold when the windows are open. The minifridge is awful, it doesn't work at all. The last day in the hotel they didn't clean the room because of a mistake that they made (they didn't see that we changed the sign of "Do Not Disturb" to "Make my room now") and the manager gave an excuse even worse than the mistake: " It is only one night, you can sleep there as it is for one night" (the room was messy, dirty and without towels). He was very rude. He said that his employee doesn't make mistakes, said that the mistake were ours and called us liars. The good things of the hotel are: location (very good indeed), the japanese concierge and the girl that works at the bar at night, both of then very friendly and helpful. Some of the ladies that do the cleaning are very helpful too, but not all of then. All the noise in the place can be a problem too since there are no soundproof at all. The comment made by the portuguese guy is just perfect, if you understand portuguese, pay attention to his advice and comment and stay away from this hotel.
August 2014.
-The quality and cleanliness of the rooms not adequate to the stars.
-Economic breakfast on payment of £ 10 for Bacon and eggs of espresso coffee.
-Wifi and air conditioning is not available in the rooms.
-The only positive note the strategic location close to the Metro station.
My family visited this hotel last November (2013), we took photos of some bed bugs which bit my mum and caused weeks of aggravation and taking of medicine to remedy the nasty reaction of the bites. Safe to say this spoiled an otherwise lovely holiday in London. The corridors and rooms were very shabby and clearly in need of renovation. Do not visit this hotel.
Hotel is quite justito. I chose it because it was very good location, just steps from the mouth of metro and cheap. The room was small, but clean. Breakfast is buffet style but very poor. If you choose the continental, you have mold and butter bread and little else. The British have beans and bacon, and I did not try it, but was not very good looking. It is not the best in the world, but with the cheap hotel that is, worth here to sleep and have breakfast outside.
Wife says hernâ, good only place.
Not a bad and very good location.

RespondWe were there from 29 6 — 1 7, 2010 and are now dotted with FOH bites. The HOtel is also very bad sound insulated, resulting in that you can often hardly sleep at night, because a lot of people went home drunk at night are unspeakably loud.
I can however highly recommend the location.
-FLEA!
Bath acoustic-insulation! (youll wake up several times if you don't sleep like a dead man)
-but good location.
