People were arguing in the hall way til 2 am Shouting I nearly checked out and slept in my van Never again Not the type of place I would take my wife and children
Not safe.

BAD POINTS… I paid £11 for a dry burger then they tried to charge me an EXTRA £2 for one yes ONE slice of cheese.
the room was freezing and smelled like a corpes had farted repeatedly before we arrived. GOOD POINTS… Checking out!
ohh and the milf drinking at the bar.

Truck broken into last night along with 4 others in the car park. Desk jockeys only help was to offer me a piece of paper to write the incident number down.
NOT a safe place for contractors to stay.

Very friendly staff and the rooms all be it a little dark are clean and comfotable.

This is possible one of the worst hotels we have ever stayed in. Staff rude and unhelpful. Rooms very dated and dirty. Walls are so thin you can hear everything! We was kept awake all night with people snoring/using the toilet and then a large group of people came in from a night out at about 3am and never made it too bed but decided to have a party in there room! We were so fed up we decided to check out at 6am to go home and get some sleep in our own beds. One praise I did have is the barman was very friendly and couldn’t have done anything more to help us.

Expensive drinks. Poor quality food and bickering breakfast staff.

Amazing, entertaining, great environment for partying…

I’ve stayed at this hotel twice now. What I liked was: The fact that each time I was there, the staff members were extremely friendly to me. The beds was always comfortable, which is what you want when you book a stay at any hotel. The breakfast spread was amazing. I found that there was always something there for everyone. The only things that I didn’t like was: How grotty the shower looked, and you’ll see this in the photos that I have included. The dirt that was on the walls. The stain that was on the beautiful carpet in the bedroom. The stains that were found on the duvet, I think those may have been blood stains. All the things mentioned in the negative part of my review, can be viewed in the photos that I have uploaded.

Extremely poor service when waiting for our afternoon food. We called and booked days before for lunch after a wedding, and was told that was fine. Apparently not. We waited over 1hr 45min for the food to come out. Constantly forgot orders, drinks, cutlery even. At one point we even heard the waitress say 'for god sake' after we asked the 4th time for steak knife. Half the food was cold where it was obviously sitting on the side. Very poor resolution for the terrible service, no drinks offered for free or discount on the food. Only a discount offered for the hall hire which has to be called back in 2 days later. Would have expected much better service from a best western and a more professional resolution to the substandard food and service.

Very comfortable for one night stay. And not far from many restaurants in Epping Forest and in south woodford. Ample parking also. But thin walls, and old bathroom with some wear and tear.

The hotel looked typical. Of a late 60's hotel and the overall appearance was tired. For the price it was ok, but the decor could use a little updating. The hotel is very pet friendly, however there are no bins to deposit dog waste. What makes this hotel worthy if the 4 stars I gave it is the staff. They were all friendly and always helpful, so thank you to those who made our stay a good one.

Disappointing overall, as in a very pleasant wooded area, ideal for dog owners. No car parking spaces available on arrival — not a good start as an unknown area. Ended up some distance away and only able to re=park late evening. Request for ground floor room (we brought dogs) was ignored despite being on reservation AND a 'phone call in advance to hotel. Receptionist changed our room. First room had unusable sink, so had to move. Rooms were 'tired' and dark and bed uncomfortable. Breakfast only fair — it was all there, but hot dishes poorly cooked and coffee undrinkable. Most staff delightfully friendly and helpful.

A little dated, average hotel that could do with smartening up. It's not a bad place. Is stay there again if necessary.

Overpriced for what you get, food is very poor would not recommend it at all. Drinks are extremely expensive. Rooms can get very cold during winter and far too hot in the summer. The key cards always stop working as soon as you leave the hotel. The staff if around are friendly and this is a positive.

The worst best western hotel I've ever stayed in. Avoid. Food was cold. Tiny portions Guests smoke in your room before you check in Windows left open. I checked in 10pm room freezing no heat. The enamel in bathroom chipped Mildew in the bathroom Hardly any lights in bedroom Terrible check in experience. Demanded to see my passport! I'm top of the best western loyalty scheme… I don't know why… a room in a prison would have been more comfortable.

Very nice stay, would have been a 5 if the first room had a heater that worked properly, but staff soon put that right by putting us in a nice room with heater, lovely breakfast, would stay again.

Attended for a meeting upstairs. Disgusting toilets, filthy carpets, stained ceilings. Dont know what bedrooms were like… thank goodness for that! Avoid at all costs.

Nice hotel with friendly staff. Decor in room a bit tired but still clean so not fussed. Would recommend.

Rooms a spacious and comfortable. The pillows are particularly nice but the same can't be said for the mattress which was quite hard. Rooms have been very clean in my experience and heated well with a/c. The shower wasn't very powerful, you'll get clean but it isn't relaxing. Food is a little hit and miss. Some of it I really liked and some was a little cold (soup) and a bit tasteless.

Simple hotel, poorly heated in winter, I would not book it anymore…

Great location for Walthamstow Village. Rooms very comfortable and reasonably equipped. I especially liked the 'handy' mobile information device. The only blemish on this review would be with the noisy air conditioning unit. Really annoying at night. Apart from this, a very pleasant stay.

Having stayed at Epping Forest, I found it to be a fantastic place to stay. The food was fantastic and the rooms were more than adequate. A fantastic place.

Beds are very comfortable. Room good. Needs. Drawers. Needs hooks in bathroom and shelf for dhampoo In bathroom.

A conveniently located hotel, attractive reception area, clean spacious room, a very good breakfast. Excellent value for money.

Only stayed one night but would stay in this hotel again as we thought it was excellent value and the included breakfast was well cooked and plentiful.

The rooms are modern and clean, with the usual hotel smell. The staff friendly. But they could do with better water pressure in the shower.

Very happy with out stay here. All staff were friendly helpful and efficient. Room was clean and warm. Breakfast staff went out their way to help my partner when I was not there to help her (she uses a walking stick) the lady who cleaned and tidied our room was great and the reception staff friendly and helpful. Its a nice touch that the hotel provide both bed and bowls for dog owners like ourselves at no extra charge. There was no problems with Internet speed or connectivity. Thank you for our enjoyable stay.

Although on 1st sight looked lovely until we had a closer look at our room! Dirty bathroom with what looked like blood in the corner. Carpet was covered in dog hairs (we have photos to prove this). The breakfast was dreadful. Cooked breakfast which was empty & took almost 20 mins to replenish. Plates had dried food stuck to them & tables were all full of dirty dishes. Only good thing was the comfortable bed! Will definitely not stay here again.

Stayed here a couple of times now. It wasn't a great hotel last time I stayed and since then the franchise has been take over by a new owner who has put the prices of the food and drink up a lot and kept the offering the same and it's just not good value. The rooms are small and because they have these useless mobile phones in the rooms there are no free plug sockets. No help with bags, an area that is synonymous with car crime (many workers have tools stolen from their vans in the hotel car park). Check in and check out is easy and the lady in the bar/restaurant was very good. For a budget hotel it should be better value.

Decent location and fairly big car park made a fairly good first impression. I had to wait almost ten minutes at the reception to get my room key. And they didn't have any toothpaste for customers (I keep forgetting it every time). Average overall impression. Good enough for a short stay if you get a good deal on a price.

Nice little hotel, exactly that I would expect from a 3-star accomodation. The room was very basic but clean and had everything we needed for a short stay. The bathroom was clean too, which is important for me. The staff is super friendly and very helpful, I really appreciate that. The only thing is that the bed in a double room was too small and soft and I kept rolling off it, that's probably the least comfortable hotel bed I've ever dealt with.

Attended a party and was a little annoyed at lack of baby changing facilities. Duty manager was fantastic and gave us a room to change little ones. Left very happy. Great example of how to treat guests.

I stayed at the BW Epping last night with my son-in-law and a friend, on our way to the O2 and found the hotel excellent. Ample parking, very friendly and helpful staff with a clean and modern interior and exterior. Our rooms were very clean and well equipped with tea/coffee facility, clean en-suite, TV, phone and comfortable beds. As a poor sleeper anyway, I actually had the best night's sleep for ages! Prices are very competitive considering as well, all that is on offer in terms of facilities. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend enthusiastically.

The staff at breakfast were very unhelpful. A couple on the table and the table next to us were brought a full English breakfast and were asked in a whisper if they wamt tea or coffee. We were not asked. The room was clean.

A decent clean hotel but the corridors were very noisy when people came back late as the heavy room doors tend to slam and the walls are fairly thin. The breakfast was mediocre, with cutlery that wasn't very clean and some of the food (particularly the bacon unless you dug to the bottom of the tray) was only just warm enough to avoid being stone cold.

Really great room! Lots of amenities.

It is lovely for a wedding reception.

Horrible hotel and staff. Front house roxanne, Megan and short bar lady with glasses usually works in the morning. Very disorganised. There's always something wrong with each room. Room cleaners are very untidy instead of replacing cups every morning, use bathroom water to rinse them. Hardly clean rooms or clear surfaces. Great food & best service received was from harry at the bar.

As it is a three star hotel, we couldn't expect much… Rooms are good, tidy, and have all basic facility. Staff has pleasant behavior. Location is good as well. So overall I m happy.

Freezing room no hot water wafer thin duvet broken thermostat rubbish hairdryer… I could go on but you get the picture… avoid avoid avoid is all I'm saying!

Had my wedding on the 25th September 2015 and the hotel was lovely and the staff are amazing :) the rooms are very nice and clean. Very very happy :)
