We’ve just returned home from a great stay at your Hotel. The hotel is in an amazing location for tubes and local amenities. My only criticism would be that the hotel would benefit from updating. Our bathroom was small but for the price we really couldn’t complain. Wezi was very welcoming and always had a smile and time to ask how our day was going. He’s a real asset to the hotel. The hotel
Offers bag storage on the day of departure at no extra cost which is a big bonus when in a big city. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you.

In between Malaysian Hall and Tube Underground train stations. Many buses here and friendly neighbourhood. A favourite area to Malaysians. They have local restaurant here called Dapur. Recommended.

Wonderful helpful staff and clean. Close to tube station and lots of convenient stores nearby.

Superb nasi goreng at dapur restaurant next to it. Well small rm but neat toilet. Love it.

Great location, clean and friendly hotel. Room size was acceptable for the area and price. I had no bfast there and only stayed for a night.

Scammed us out of our money. Booked a twin room, they had it on their system and then decided they didn’t have it anymore. Instead of compensating, they tried to get us to book two single rooms instead. After seeing the absolute state of the those rooms, we declined. A good 2 hours later, the manager, after reminding him about consumer rights, said we could have a twin room (that magically reappeared) free of charge. Only to find out that they charged the card a few weeks later claiming they had never agreed to it. Honestly you’re better off staying in a hostel. The WORST experience of my entire life and ruined an amazing day.

A very friendly hotel with excellent service and good food. The weather was very hot and the interior of the unmodernised hotel was VERY warm and muggy. Very noisy neighbours. But the price of the hotel was reasonable and reflected the facilities. Unsophisticated but very pleasant nonetheless. Lacks a communal lounge. The tired decoration in the stair areas did not put me off.

Hotel staff were generally good and quick to respond, the problem I had was with the consistency of the hotel itself. The rooms were very inconsistent with sizing and even bed sizes (different rooms had different sizes of single beds, some were normal and some were exceptionally small and uncomfortable), aside from that the Wifi varies on which room you get (middle rooms have relatively strong signals and the further rooms have almost no signal). We had to wait for around 3-4 minutes between each toilet flush. The shower temperature knob would turn to the right but would not turn back to the left for colder water unless you try very hard (it might even hurt your hand). TV had terrible signal no matter which room you’re in. But the location of the hotel is excellent. Can’t comment on the food as I’ve never had the food here.

Honestly I was not happy at all! The room was downstairs and I had almost no daylight at all. The shower was dirty and at first boiling hot. After I complained I got no apologies and it got repaired. Well, apparently. After that there was only cold water so I had to wash my hair in the sink. The noise outside was quite bad and the windows not good at all since the noise came through all the way. Wifi was super slow and sometimes not working at all. Price was way too high for that experience. The only good thing was the location.

Fabulous location and the staff were great and the full breakfast was delicious and the hotel was clean. My only criticism is the sign in the bathroom that says the water is not suitable for drinking and they don't supply bottles of water either, however you can get water at Sainsbury's only 30m away.

A nightmare of a place. Stuff are rude. Room and beds are for midgets. The room is badly made. The toilet, you could hardly stretch your feet. The lift fits only two midget at anyone time. You have to walk sideway like crabs once you exit the life to your room. I hate to think what will happen in case of emergency. This review is written 15 minutes upon check in. Will have to find another place. Help!

The area was awful were it was located not very friendly places in the shops, etc. On arrival of the hotel it wasn’t very friendly service as they looked like they couldn’t be bothered to talk to us. Then getting to our room was very complicated and confusing, had to get the lift each time. The room was very small and the walls and windows very fin so could hear everything at night time so didn’t get enough sleep. The only decent thing was the bed and then a place round the corner called Côte for breakfast apart from that the place was bad and wouldn’t stay ever again.

Room small, toilet even smaller. Room rate expensive, not worth it. Only advantage is very close to Bayswater Tube Station. One's better off staying at 1* hotel at Earl Court area, far better value and lower room rate. There bed bugs on the matress in room # 309 as was scratching like crazy the 3 nights I stayed at this hotel. Only Kristina the receptionist and Brian from Columbia are warm and friendly. Rest helpful to a certain extent, rigid and not friendly nor warm from the heart. Will not recommend this hotel to anyone. First and last time will stay at this hotel.

Excellent location and friendly staff. Rooms are basic but clean. Shower… well, no pressure at all. Water literlaly dripping. Breakfast is totally different story. Hit and miss really. Staff very slow, not refilling, food ok one day and not great on another. Have to wait for hit drinks sometimes for 10 min.

Friendly staff. Great location. Reasonably priced. Room on the top floor has a rain shower but it only drizzles! Mattress needs replacing soon. Can feel the springs. Other than that it's awesome.

Overall, I enjoyed the stay very much. The central location and closeness to the underground station was very convenient. Staff in the hotel were extremely nice and helpful. My room was upgraded for free to double which was fantastic as I needed the rest and a good bed very much :). The only negative experience was a funny smell in the room. Not sure what it was but I managed to air the room through open window so not a big deal.

Just the necessary to rest after touring the city. Very friendly and helpful staff. Small room but very comfortable and clean with the necessary elements to preoararte a tea or a coffee in the room. When I was there (January 2017) did not funcionaaba the elevator but when requesting help to lower the bags from the 3rd floor helped us with kindness.

Overall the hotel was really good and just what we needed. The location is really good as well as the breakfast. The lift got stuck for a little more than 1 day, but it wasn't quite an issue, just to walk up the stairs till the 3rd floor (maybe it was more uncomfortable to the guests on upper floors). The stayed in 2 different rooms and both were quite small, but still ok. The temperature within the room was a little bit of an issue. Even with the heat turned off and cold temperatures outside (end of March), the room seem to be quite warm. We wanted to sleep with the window opened, but then we would be listening to cars and people talking out loud outside. I really can't imagine how guests would handle temperatures during the summer, as the rooms don't have AC. The bathroom was ok, although the temperature knob on both rooms was so difficult to turn, almost stuck. The staff was really friendly and overall it was a good experience.

Near Tune station, just 200 meters away. Got a lot good taste Chinese Restaurant. For Muslim Friends, halal restaurant also easy found. Tesco just behind the hotel.

Great deception: From the outside a chic hotel while the inteieur, there is a hall with a very low sofa full of springs, to access to the two rooms reserved it is necessary to climb an upper floor and to go down an etage (to meet the garden floor). One of the rooms with an old wallpaper and a bathroom not able to regulate the temperature of the water with mold and window giving to a wall, the second room giving to the street the window does not close and suddenly does not heat. No insulation between the rooms (you can hear everything).

Hotel is 3 stars. Clean rooms and friendly staff. Heating at the highest level and super warm in the room. Unfortunately, the heater could not be adjusted. But it was done for us immediately.

Very comfortable, good location, good attention, just did not work the elevator temporarily, so I do not give 5 stars.

Poor hospitality and not customer orientated. Staff have to be trained to deal with hotel guest requirements. Quality of service has gone down from my previous stay. Will not stay again and will not recommend either.

Disastrous. Unpleasant smell. Nothing nice. Rooms very old and deteriorated.

Overall I enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay again as I usual stay in the Bayswater area of London. I found the room quite spacious for a London hotel as well as clean and in good condition. If there was one area I would give a negative mark that would be that the lifts were not working for the week I was staying. Personally it didn't bother me as I was happy to walk the four flights of stairs, but for someone who was old or had trouble with their mobility then this would have caused problems.

To sleep this very well, has heating and is very clean, advised him a lot to visit London, but do not look for more hotel services as this is older than my grandfather.

Great location, lovely hotel. My room was great, but the Wi-Fi wasn't so good as I was downstairs. That was ok for just one night though (good excuse not to work. ) Next time I stay there I will ask for a room upstairs.

The room was just what I needed, with bed to sleep and bathroom to groom me, I needed no more. It has television and heating obviously. The room is small but sleeping is perfect. The walls might be a little thin, but they don't pose a problem.

The room was clean and spacious. The bed was comfortable and the temperature was pleasant. The staff were friendly and helpful. The temperature and water pressure in the sink and shower was however not very good. It took several minutes before the water became lukewarm, and it was hard to rinse out the shampoo when showering. I stayed for 3 nights and had therefore breakfast 3 times. Every time it took too long to refill items that needed refilling. One time I was told that the chef were in the loo, so it could be a while before more eggs were ready. The location of the hotel were very good.

Typical Old English hotel surrounded by other hotels of the same quality. The subway is very close as well as shops. Breakfast is expensive.

Friendly and helpful staff. Clean and cozy room. Better than we expected. Good location with supermart, Restaurant, train station n spa. Malaysian Hall is one street away.

Everything was awful. The dirtiest hotel I have ever been. The deluxe room is not as the pictures. I had stayed in the deluxe room 3 years ago and was very good but since then a lot have changed! The sink was cracked, the carpet was full of hair and dirty as if it was not cleaned for years! In the bathroom the faucet was broken and only extremely hot water was running! I even got burned! Also the bathroom door was broken and did not close! They did not even provide the guests with toiletry! No shower gel, no hair shampoo. Nothing! It was only a 3-in-1 (shower gel-shampoo-conditioner) in the shower cabin.

We had a delightful stay there for a week. This was my second stay there, the first being 10 years ago. My room was a refurbished one and was good. The other room was not and a bit saddening. Its a wonderful location and with 2 tube stations nearby, plenty of shops, its a plus point. Heated towel racks in the bath were also a welcomed fixture. Friendly staff with sufficient knowledge, always trying to accomodate our requests. Overall very happy and keep up the good work.

Nice Hotel clean the room where I stayed in two beds by a very comfortable square and half, the bathroom to rule D art. Nice staff especially the Italian receptionist and other friendly young employees, not a very middle aged gentleman who like many Brits if they pull it for no reason.

Location wise. Fantastic. Just an eye distant from bayswater station. The staff at counter IRINA n fren. Fantastic super quick service. The cafe staff. All efficient n frenly. The food. Yummy3

I booked two rooms for this trip. The rooms we got were smaller than expected, especially with small children and lots of luggage. It would have been better if we could get bigger rooms. However, when I asked the reception to change at least one of the rooms, the lady was kind enough to give a twin room which was slightly bigger than we had before. The porter was very helpful too. The extra pair of hands made our lives easier with carrying the bags to our rooms faster (considering that there is only one small lift). Overall, it was a very good stay, as always!

We (my wife, my adult son) were sent from the Central Park Hotel for a night for "repair work" to this hotel. The hotel was an imposition ("imposition" for the English speaking readers) or even "no-go", the room made a dingy, rundown impression. It was old furniture that had come into the years. The mattress was totally overlain. The bathroom would not be able to withstand bacterial examination in Germany. The mini sink was too small for hand washing and awfully dirty. The shower was so small that a full grown man didn't get wet everywhere. All dirty and inhabited. The window frames were moldy. I slept in bed for the first time without covering… I did not want to come into contact with the bed linen…

Nice hotel, nice staff. The only problem is that our room has not central heating due to some problems in maintenance. Anyway our stance was good, the weather is not very cold now. Thanks for everything!

While the location was perfect and affordable for the location. It becomes quickly apparent why it is so affordable. First of all, my room was underground, which is fine unless you don't enjoy being below street level. This being said, most people could see into your room just by looking down. I should also note, that I spent extra money on an upgraded room… and I was still underground. Secondly, there was a lot of noise between the doors, and floors. Every step the person in the room above me made, I could hear. So there was not a lot of quality sleep. Third, the fire alarm went off one morning at 6:45 AM. This was clearly not an emergency, but more of an accident as it was turned off within seconds. None the less it was enough to wake me up, and keep me up. Fourth, being underground, and where my room was located, there was a really intense smell… and it came from the hallways. Lastly the shower… It was only scalding hot, and no other temperature. I could barley get my skin under the water without burning. So the location was great and perfect for what I needed… but the rest needed a bit more attention.

Two good points. The Staff was very courteous. The lobby was very tasteful. However, Room 509 was no larger than a postage stamp. Construction was occurring in adjacent room. Shower stall was too small and cramped. When room change was made to a larger room 414 it was discovered there was no air conditioning. Wi-fi service was extremely poor. The hallways had a musty smell. The elevator was slow and only large enough to accommodate 2 persons.

Beautiful outside and lobby. Located in a great part of the city with tons of restaurants and shops. The first night we stayed in a "triple room" with a full and twin bed. It was very small with a window looking out to a brick wall and no A. C. But for 75 pounds/, I can't complain. The next 2 nights we stayed in a bigger, much nicer room. It had more updated decor, air conditioning and a street view. I was very happy. Both rooms were clean and the other guests were quiet. Staff was pleasant. As a whole, it was a nice experience. I would definitely stay again strictly based on the low price and the location. Located right near 2 tube stations. It was very easy to travel all around London.

Rooms average small size, bathroom in the room at a later time at the limit of use due to the size very, almost claustrophobic. Breakfast with little variety of food.

Dear Kathleen, Originally I was put in a room well below the standard (room 301) I would expect for the money paid. To give you a flavor of how bad it was, the wall paper was coming away from the wall, areas of the walls had been filled with polyfiller, there were holes in the net curtains and the room was generally dirty and very tired. I complained to the receptionist, but he was reluctant to change the room as he only had deluxe rooms available and unless I paid the difference was unable to offer me a change in room. He eventually gave in to my persistence and gave me a Deluxe room (room 28) for one night, which I'm pleased to say got extended for the full 4 nights of my stay. I have stayed at the Berjaya hotel many times before with no issues so was rather disappointed with the receptionists response to my complaint. Putting the above experience to one side, I find the hotel good value with a reasonable standard of rooms, the staff are generally helpful and friendly. I work in London during the week so having a comfortable room to return to in a good location at the right price is very important to me. Kind Regards, Del Jeffrey.

This was the 3rd time we had stayed at the hotel in 6 years. We were disappointed that your superb continental breakfast was no longer offered. We also booked a Standard rather than a superior room this time. The room 110 was a bit shabby in decor but adequate. However the extremely small hand basin was totally inadequate (I had to wash my face using the bath tap) and it was difficult to control the bath/shower temperature. The location of your hotel is excellent, the reception area is welcoming and your staff are efficient and friendly. Although we were not looking for an evening meal this time, I noted that you are no longer running the restaurant and bar.

Good location and staff Very basic rooms and a bit scruffy.

Unfortunately the rooms are not as in the pictures on the site, they put me and my girlfriend in an underground room, with separate beds, probably broken through and the bathroom without heating, no hot water for problems in that room. You save the staff, who, despite the dilapidated structure, did everything possible to solve all the problems.

Essential but still clean and also the location is great. Less than a hundred metres from Bayswater underground.

The rooms is nice but the pathwat too small. And the lift is way way too smal to fit 2 person.

We booked a double deluxe room. A bit smaller than shown in the pictures but definitely ok considering cost of hotel/location. The beds are very comfortable and the bathroom is very nice. Tv is good for the evenings when you are settling down after exploring London. Haven't tried out the bar yet but it seems ok if you'd like to take a drink in the evening. The floors are a bit creaky and you can hear people walking across the narrow hallways. A lot of sound coming in from the outside. Luckily me and my girlfriend are heavy sleepers. Consider all of these things before booking. We're satisfied :)

The good: Friendly staff. Very low rate for London. Excellent location. Tea/coffee maker in room. Decent tv. Nice bar. The bad: The slick website is a misrepresentation of the actual room. For this price I don't expect luxury, but the tatty room did not look at all like the pics online. I guess it was fairly clean and I didn't see any bed bugs, like some people claimed. Window let in a lot of draught and was right above the bed — must be hell in winter. Toilet door did not close when seated due to lack of space. The worst is the Wi-Fi, which is supposedly available throughout the hotel but can in reality only be received in the lobby. That would have been the deal killer for me, because I had work to do at night and now had to take my laptop to a noisy lobby, where they turned off the light at 11. The staff were very helpful and apologetic about the Wi-Fi but they did admit it was always a problem. So I'd recommend this hotel only if you don't mind 'roughing it' a bit. If you're on a business trip however, then avoid!

Small but fine for the budget! Direct connection and a great area. The breakfast is extensive and fresh, tasty. I will definitely come back.

By far, The worst room i've ever been, staff not Bad.

Very friendly hotel. The staff was very kind and we spent a moderately. The bathroom is, of course, English or noisy. The shower did not allow to adjust the temperature. Overall tornereo.

Basic tourist hotel but room clean and comfortable and staff keen to please. Great location on the edge of Hyde Park.

Dirty, cramped, overheated, overpriced, uncomfortable, in desperate and urgent need of complete refurbishment: windows, baths, basins, loos, lighting, beds and bed spaces, the lot! This hotel markets itself as setting a new standard. Boy, does it!

Location great, rooms ok
For cities trips that take a few days, totally ok. Rooms small but quiet and clean, bathroom as new and always hot water, staff nice, super great location. Two central metro stations in 100 m walking distance, great restaurant, but super Park, not luxurious but ok for overnight.

The Hotel is super awesome! The Underground is just 50 meters. Bus stops all around. Super markets, Souvenir Shops … all the
Heart desires. The people in the Hotel are very nice. The Breakfast was very good and
— reaching. Our double room was very small. To me, it has not much-
made, but people with claustrophobia have big problems. All in all: I would go to all the cases again in this Hotel.

Great cozy place with very friendly and attentive people. Home atmosphere and comfort have to mental equilibrium. The beautiful location. I advise.
