If you want pretty decent American food in London, this is the place to go. We were starving and it was a place that wasn't too busy, so it was our choice at that moment. Asked for two "sharing" appetizers: the American and a "bucket of wings. " When we received our food, we got the American fine, and 5 additional wings. I asked the waiter if that was what consisted of a "bucket" of wings. He asked "Oh, this isn't enough food for you? " I said, "No, it may be, but it isn't what I ordered. " He insisted it was. Luckily I wasn't charged for the bucket, at least.

Not too bad of a place it was very clean the food came out pretty good but I think my cut of steak was not the best cut for being a T-bone. A little over cooked. The waiter that we had was not quite as attentive as they normally are in London where the tip is already built into the price. As soon as the group of ladies came in he was gone. But don't be fooled it's a nice place to eat.

Came in for desserts. Sweet potato fries were nice, as were the milkshakes. The toffee crispy cake was disappointing and was soft. I've never once left a dessert, but this really was inedible. Certainly not what I expected for an eatery in this part of London. Before the food arrived, we thought about coming back for mains, but is highly unlikely.

We visit Angus Steakhouse in Canbourn street frequently when we go to London (actually more than once during our stay). They never disappointed us. Food is good as well as the service. Prices are moderate and portions are good too. A good choice of food on the menu.

Walked in for dinner on a Thursday night and loved it. Did not get the best seats as it was very busy, but the service was prompt. Loved their hot and spicy pork ribs, tasted great.

Too expensive for what they offer.

Nice food however very expensive. When looking at the menu before hand it seemed reasonable for the location and for a steak house. When arriving and enquiring about the steaks however it was £25 for just the steak so additional items had to be bought such as chips to make it a meal. If I had known this previously I probably wouldn't have gone since it then ended up a lot more expensive that originally planned.

Food is ok, service is outstanding really calm and helpful with foreign people. A bit pricey tho.

Nothing special. Unprofessional staff. After wrong ordering the waiter did not admit the error, but he wanted to blame the customer. The meat nothing to it, overpriced for the quality they offer.

Sunday 21 h. It gets quieter everywhere, just not in London. And here, too, the human snake was still on the way. Had a nice waiter and super meat quality in the rather noisy atmosphere. Our son, 11, loved his spareribs!

Good food the ribs delicious but we went 3 and we were very tight. Excellent service.

We have used this Resturant for a number of years and have always received good food and an excellent service. However, we noted on the last occasion they had added a cover charge to our bill. Still not sure what this cover charge is for, as we were never advised when ordering our food there was a cover charge. The charge was refunded, following a complaint made, but afraid the Resturant have now lost our custom and we will eat elsewhere in the future.

Flavor taste flavor. This is the chorus of the menu available. The meats are of quality and available to be cooked according to preference. The BBQ sauce is to try. The staff is large and well available and also speaks Italian. Clean, beautiful and modern looking room. Background music Maybe a little high to talk to quietly.

I only went because my mother wanted to eat something "normal" since for 2 days we ate oriental. Well it was better to keep eating oriental food. Apart from the table in front of the entrance door that every time it opened the Ice age was entering. The waitress who served us seemed annoyed by our presence. I think she was Italian but she refused to speak Italian, but this is the problem since we knew how to speak English. But the food was awful. But my mom was satisfied.

Be prepared to wait and pay extra £1/person for the table charge. If you really fancy a steak I'd rather recommend Harvester. This restaurant is dear.

I had the lamb shank and peanut butter cake. Both delicious. Minus one star due to very high prices. A meal for two (one starter, two mains, two desserts, two Cokes) came to £70. Definitely not good value for money.

Excellent service, average steak. Upon my arrival at around 1 p. M. On a Saturday, when the place seemed only moderately busy, I was greeted outside the front door and immediately shown to a table. All service was prompt, attentive and excellent (proactive and non-intrusive). My starter of prosciutto with fresh and roasted tomatoes was scrumptious; the filet steak and chips for main course rather less so (though still acceptable). The side salad was as expected, although the salad leaves served with the steak looked slightly 'tired'. I would probably return, because of this restaurant's location and good service.

Angus Steakhouse is a nice, clean restaurant in a good location, opposite the Leicester Square underground. It's surrounded by shops, bus stops and a taxi rank. Not far from Trafalgar Square. Food is great and prices are reasonable for London.

We often eat at the angus steakhouse. This particular time was memorable in that we had a rather eccentric waitor. He knew his stuff but was particularly certain about what he thought we should be eating that day. Non the less it was a great afternoon eating good food in a lovely restaurant. Always clean and friendly when you eat here.

A welcome surprise.
Of course, at the entrance you will find the usual Italian staff that you do not want to find if you are his compatriot, but once inside, with a service not exactly fast, you can enjoy a good meat dish.
Whether it's a burger, whether it's a cut or just a good fillet, the pot won't disappoint.
Good and average budget, the place is part of a chain that you can find almost anywhere in the city.

Music too strong, good dishes but well check his note because we were counted 10pounds more! Tourists!

Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Prices are medium to high, as expected. Ive tried pork ribs which were really nice, but not enough to make you full.

A bit pricey but very good with nice surroundings and young and dynamic staff. Only downside, the music, too loud to chat quietly during the meal and to be understood by the waiters. Otherwise well, I recommend.

The service is slow although the servers are running in circles. Basically the kitchen doesn't follow. Yet the price side is in the high end. Too bad for a restaurant so well placed.

As a good Italian hungry I stopped after checking that the meat ounces of the portions were sufficient to feed themselves. I was satisfied, good cut of meat (at a high price, €34 with the change). Good taste but a bit dry and I did not want to use "strange" sauces, but only the meat to the natural.
Potatoes with cheese have been a nice novelty, now I also make them at home.
Last tip: Ask for "tap water" to have water in jug and not bottled.

Medium quality steaks. A nice atmosphere for couples and families. Good sides options with the steak. The rib eyes are nice. Plus, the surrounding area is lively.

Roman Holiday Accommodation was here: nice place in the center of London. I had Gold Fillet with spicy sauce which was great. French fries and drunk Stella Artois. Recommended.

Reasonable price, food is not bad but the steak was not very good.

Excellent meat good service a bit expensive for its kind pero compensated by the good quality location.

It is a chain of restaurants, it eats well, very London style, it is not of the expensive places. The tables are very small and they are very close together.

Quality normal but price I found excessive is not so much the truth I'm sorry but I would not recommend by price although if you have no problems paying more.

An excellent place to eat for the West End. Clean, smart and well serviced, it was impressive. The menu was steak based, of course but it was wider than that with good choices. The table service was excellent too. I recommend it.

Abysmal service, we were herded and rushed like cattle, the waiting staff were ignorant and at times extremely inappropriate. Prices were astronomical. I definitely would never go back to the Cranborn Street branch. Nice food though.

Tiny portions, very expensive and the food is mediocre. We were waiting for the staff to take these plates for 10 minutes, even though it was not busy and they walked by numerous times and were talking to each other. We had to arduously signal staff to get anywhere. Avoid. It’s only still around because it’s in a busy touristy area.

Good steak served here… opted for the ribeye steak… blue… came in good time served by polite and friendly waitress and was very tasty. Will come again next time I am in town… Get the feeling it is very much aimed at tourists but I guess that's what you expect taking into account the location and franchise name. Go on make a night of it couple it up with a trip to the cinema or one of the nearby theatres and make a day of it.

Food and service are both top class. A great variety of food. Cooked to your liking and reasonably priced. Great place for all the family to eat.

A steakhouse that can't cook a steak! Ordered 18oz t-bone rare… came out med-well done. Sent it back and 2nd one came out just the same… very disappointing! Waiter was extremely rude and felt like he was inconvenienced by the fact I didn't get what I asked for! Steaks are expensive and you have to pay for all sides and extras. Only redeeming factor was the sweet potato fries that were excellent and the wife said her rib eye was "ok". Go to steak & co round the corner… much better steak for your money.

I think those who value meat this is not the best place to taste it. A bit pricey for the quality quantity, the treatment very correct.

Close to the theatre district. Standard steakhouse format found across the western world. Usual choice of cuts. Varied wine menu, sourced internationally. Quality was good and served as ordered — as it should be; that's the business they are in. Attentive, polite and professional service — perhaps above average for a chain restaurant. Steakhouse decor (as found in similar establishments worldwide), overly loud piped music, disabled toilet. A good experience and would go again.

Good value for money The waitresses were very friendly and the service quick.

A very good location (near international railway station and national railway station, underground and buses lines), a nice staff who can give you advices for your trip (places to visit, restaurant …), clean rooms and a cheap price. It's a 5 out of 5 as it concerns me.

Excellent location, very good hotel.

Very very clean for London standards, despite the carpet of 1 cm. Room very small but arranged well, a chair, a small table, comfortable bed, tv, small bathroom but large shower normal. All new, renovated. Cleaning every day, beds and linen, and two water bottles, breakfast set and lie new every day. Coffee maker. Wifi perfect. Cheap price compared to other, 100 meters from king's cross where they spend the major metro.

It is a quiet hotel for its location in London, but the rooms and bathrooms are tiny, no sink, but a washing hands, and obliged to leave the door open to wash! No soundproofing Provide earplugs if you don't want to hear neighbors even if they are discrete. The staff is kind. The joints of the shower deserve to be refreshed but the room is clean and the bedding comfortable.

It's in a great location — it is right next to the park and 5 minute walk to King Cross Station and Saint Pancreas International. The room is a bit small by North American standards but it serves its purpose.

Cute little hotel. The rooms are small, and the bathrooms tiny. (Think of it as cozy…) My room was downstairs and the windows opened right at street level, but the neighborhood is quiet enough that this wasn't a problem. The Underground was a short 5 minute walk at most. My only complaint was that if the bedroom door stayed open for any length of time an alarm would go off until it was shut. (I'm notoriously bad at waiting until I've opened the door to check that I've got everything…)

Was okay for a few days. The room was thinking small, we had almost no place for our two small suitcases. Also, the front door was not properly isolated, so that in part it was pretty cold in the room. The location is great, a few minutes to Kings Cross Station, the room was clean and good Wi-Fi connection. Enough hotel for a weekend trip.

A little gem in the budget hotel category — very kind staff and the rooms are pleasantly stylish in furnishing, if tiny. I loved the bed and the tea and coffee facilities and still and sparkling water were a lovely touch; Wi-Fi is fast and free of charge. Walls are thin but that's to be expected in a historic Georgian building. It's just around the corner from King's Cross/St Pancras so transport links are great. Realistically, you're not going to be spending a lot of time in your hotel so it's perfectly adequate for a good night's sleep after a busy London day.

For the price the hotel was fine. The room was very tiny, but big enough to sleep comfortably and have a shower. It's basically just a tiny room and a tiny shower and toilet and sink. For us that was perfect and I think for many casual visitors it will be too. It's also right next to the tube.

Rooms r always small. But this is so close to the Kings Cross Station. It's within 2 minutes walk to the station but not noisy at all as it locates behind a small park square. Room gets cleaned daily. A very nice place to stay. I would come back again.

You expect small rooms in a budget hotel near King's Cross station but at least it is neat, fresh and very clean. Our room even has a reasonable view over the small park area. Not too noisy. Friendly, helpful person at reception. Have stayed in several budget hotels in this same area (so close to St Pancras station) and Angus is the best of them.

Stayed at the Angus Hotel for 2 nights. I had read previous reviews saying that the rooms are very small. We were quite surprised just how small the room and bathroom actually were but it was very clean (bedding and towels changed daily) and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Literally a stones throw from Kings Cross St. Pancras station so ideal for the underground. Situated on a square I was quite surprised just how quiet it actually was, was able to sleep with the window wide open and sleep wasn't disturbed. Would definitely stay here again, excellent value for money.

Super Delicious and great service… everything very fast and also friendly… I had the Black Angus gold steak and it was really awesome and also fried on the point medium… Highly recommended just like the sweet potato fries… super yummy… you should have tried;) times. You can do a lot of wrong with steak but they know how to do it right. *****
I can not understand the overall ratings with worse than 4 *…

Nice hotel. We slept very good. Bed is nice. Conserning hoodlums-it's just teenagers, threy spoke till midnight and escaped. No more noisy than at other London streets.

Do NOT EVER stay here. The hotel is nice and staff friendly but there is a pack of hoodlums partying and smoking outside our window. Unfortunately, the window needs to be open to get air. Until the hotel can get the hoodlums to find another place to hang out this makes all of the effort spent on the hotel for naught.
