If all you need is a bed overnight, then this is fine because it's close to a busy metro station. However, if you're planning to stay more than two nights and can afford to, pay a bit more and go somewhere else. 1. The Wi-Fi is £1/hour. You have to log in and out, if you forget to log out, you will use up your time. I have been to hostels who charge for Wi-Fi, but they always have a deal, like £5/week. This one does not. 2. They have a kitchen but do not provide pots, pans, or cooking utensils. This is absurd. One of the main draws of staying in a hostel is the ability to cook meals and avoid the cost of eating out. I do not travel on backpacking trips with pots and pans unless I intend to camp. We ended up spending more than we saved by eating dinner out, although we managed breakfast (overnight oats) and lunch (sandwiches). 3. The showers are terrible. There are 4 showers. If more than one is running the water pressure is reduced by half. They do not get hot, only warm and at least one of them only does cold if two or more are on. Additionally, the women's stalls for restrooms do not have bins for sanitary products. 4. It's very loud. They have chosen to cover many of the hallways in tile so everything echos. Each door has a suspension mechanism to keep it from slamming, but it finishes with a very loud bang and cannot be avoided by manually shutting the door. In spite of its location, we would never stay here again. By paying a little bit more, we could have had hot showers, a better night's rest, and ultimately saved money by being able to cook our suppers.
