I stayed at The Queens Gate Hotel the last week of March 2022. It was beautiful. The location was great, the street was long and amazing, the staff were SO Wonderful! They went out of their way to help me when I truly needed it. A lot of hotels wouldn’t have cared. I highly recommend them. Stay with them next time you’re in London, you’ll be very happy.

We have an afternoon tea in the beautiful Botanical room. Very good service and afternoon tea selection. Very patient to my not so behave nephew and we had a lovely post pandemic catching up with my cousins. Thank you for my birthday cake as well😍.

A lovely hotel which was the perfect location for our show at The Royal Albert Hall.
The room was clean and tidy and had everything we needed. An extra shout out to Joanna and Jalal for helping us swap rooms so quickly. Nothing wrong with first room. We just wanted a lower floor.
Would definitely return. Lovely staff made it.

I stayed with my daughter and 3 year old grandson in a triple bed room. We had a beautiful spacious room and a lovely bathroom with a powerful shower and a fantastic deep bath which my grandson loved.
The restaurant staff were amazing and couldn't do enough for us, the breakfast was one of the best I have had including a fantastic gluten free muffin for my daughter.
Highly recommend this hotel and hope to return one day.

Excellent hotel. Fabulous staff. They go out of their way to make your stay memorable. The decor is classic elegance. Queen's Gate id immaculate. They focus on continuous improvement. The breakfast buffet is excellent. Croissants are the best ever with a crispy top. They put out small batches of prepared eggs, frequently to keep it all as fresh as possible. Fresh squeezed orange juice available on demand. Lattes, cappucinos, lox, brie, homemade yogurt and an endless variety of well sourced fare is included. Special shout out to Markus, Dorina, Silvio and the rest of the superb staff. The reception manager and consierge are also great, sorry for not remembering their names. Shane keeps the wheels turning smoothly without drama. Thank you all!

Ideal location for visiting the Royal Albert Hall and local museums. Reassuring doorman for security. Bedding and bathroom good — even has magnifying mirror ladies! Bring slippers as cold hard floor. Bedrooms in need of quiet door closers, or maintain them! Good price through Expedia.

Had a lovely stay at this hotel, our room was well appointed and the shower was brilliant, however the best thing about this hotel was the staff, everyone of them was lovely! Service was excellent from all we encountered.
Drinks at the bar were good and reasonably priced and food we had at the bistro was tasty, well presented and again reasonably priced.

Staff was fantastic! Great location, especially because it is near everything. View from my room was of a a building being renovated, but that isn’t a bad thing. Breakfast buffet was delicious. Steak at the bar was awesome! Definitely would stay there again if I am lucky enough to go back to London!

Excellent location, ten minutes walk from the Hide park. Despite of its central location there is no crowd, no noise. Very kind personnel, comfortable rooms, delicious breakfast.

Comfortable beds, great water pressure in the shower, and nice towels. Top 3 things I care about in a hotel. Also really nice buffet breakfast included.

1. Dirty numbers — look at the photo! 2. It is impossible to sleep in the hotel, outside the window is construction, which begins at 7 a. M. And this horrible noise is present throughout the day. 3. Disgusting breakfast! First of all, it's awfully cold. It's like a refrigeration chamber. Staff do NOT respond to a request to turn off the air conditioning. Breakfast takes place in the basement. And it's not a restaurant, it's a Soviet dining room! The food is disgusting! I've never even seen such a terrible omelet in a 3 star hotel! The sausages are greasy, everything is in oil, it is impossible to eat! The choice is quite modest, for 2 stars and all tasteless! I had to go to the neighboring cafes for breakfast. 4. Staff. It's a separate topic! On any call — to fix the TV, bring towels, comes a guy from the front desk. The staff are generally NOT friendly! On our — good morning, TWICE in return silence! They don't even smile at you. Look with a haughty look and speak through the teeth! Maybe they were waiting for a tip? But for what?! For a disgusting breakfast? For the dirty rooms? Louts! 5. Dirty decorative pillows were lying on the bed, it is not clear from what. I threw one of them on the closet. You can IMAGINE NOT how much dust flew from there! Huge shreds! To send my complaint to the room cleaner did not respond in any way! She just didn't come! Then we moved to another room, the category OF LESS than ours and the money we did not reimburse! Could offer breakfast free!

Good location, pretty close to an Underground station. Room is really nice if a bit small. Comfy beds and a nice bathroom. Room service is quick and there is a good bit of variety on the menu. No clearly marked vegan options, however. Overall a nice place to stay.

My wife and I stayed at the Queen's Gate Hotel a week ago and it was a fantastic experience. The hotel staff are wonderfully accommodating. The location is steps away from public transportation and a short walk from museums and Hyde Park. We would definitely book this hotel again.

The hotel is probably pretty good, we just had a bad experience upon check in. Someone had been in the room after it was cleaned. They ate the complementary biscuits, and left a wad of dirty toilet paper in the unflushed toilet. All we got from the hotel was, "sorry". I would have thought they'd offer us a free breakfast or something. Also, our room was quite small, and wasn't stocked with any of the fancy teas I saw in the staff cleaning cart. Only bitter Tetley tea. The location was nice, but I don't plan to return after the toilet paper incident.

Great service from a very polite and professional staff. Our room was cozy, without issues. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would come back again if given the opportunity!

Very friendly staff. The room is clean and the breakfast is adequate. The coffee could be better. The bed is comfortable, a wardrobe for jackets is missing, at least in our room.

WARNING: Stay in this hotel you want to be robbed of your valuable possessions and taken advantage of by staff. On our first night in this hotel our room was broken into and robbed, and we were accused of lying about it to staff. After countless attempts at resolving the issue, emails were ignored and it took days for our stay to be refunded. The lies within this hotel are endless; we were initially told that they had only one CCTV camera on the premises, only to find out later they had 18. This robbery was 100% an inside job, with staff preying on young, vulnerable travellers. To this day the hotel is taking no responsibility. Appalling excuse for a '4 star' hotel — would rather stay in a hostel than at the Queens Gate.

My Title: An Amazing, Modern, Welcoming, Just Plain Nice Hotel Forgive me if I already posted a review of this wonderful hotel back in October 2017, but I couldn’t remember if I did or if that was on Trip Advisor. Anyway… this past October I returned to London after 30 years (I was last in London in the late 1980s on a school trip). My friend runs tours to London that specialize in a lot of “free time” to explore and we stayed at The Queen’s Gate Hotel. From the moment we walked in, I knew that this was a special and great hotel. Every single staff member that we encountered from desk staff to bellboys to bartender, The Queen’s Gate Hotel was first class. The room was modern and very clean. The bathroom was immaculately clean. The bed was super comfortable. Breakfast buffet in the basement all purpose room was amazing. Not only did they have great “American traditions” like scrambled eggs and bacon strips, but you could also get English breakfast items. Everything was hot, fresh, and tasty. And the decor was really inviting. A few nights I decided to stay at the bar in the hotel. I must say that it was a really nice experience. The bartender was always friendly but never pushy, if you catch my meaning. And the food ordered at the bar was always delicious and reasonably priced.

Had a lovely stay with mum for her birthday the staff were friendly. The food breakfast and bar food, more than adequate. Rooms I must admit are "modern — minimal " a little strange having laminate flooring but as we were out and about most of the time as it is situated in a fabulous area it didn't matter to us, but would remember slippers next time. I would go back we had a triple room facing the front so we could watch the people go by so this was a bonus.

For me this hotel stands out on others for the following reasons:. It has a great location, although if for example you want to walk to Parliament calculate 50 minutes or so. Here is always a surprise the room that you will touch, because at least I have always given a different shape and structure and I always look forward to seeing what room I am surprised.
. Point in favor of breakfast, and this I have not found in any other London hotel to date and that I have visited several, and is that for breakfast they have machine that makes you freshly squeezed orange juice.
. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and they have a great deal of English speaking people, which is perfect for people with little knowledge of the language.
Overall I try to stay at this hotel if I can because for me it stands out over the others.

A great quality hotel a five minute walk from The Royal Albert Hall & Hyde Park. Gloucester Rd tube station is 10 mins walk. The room I stayed in was a reasonable size and to a high standard. We arrived early on a Saturday morning & checked our bags in which allowed us to explore clutter free. We did the same on Sunday so we collected our luggage just before we travelled home by train. The natural history museum is approx 6 minutes away by foot. Breakfast is in the basement dining room & was a well stocked buffet catering for all tastes. This was included in our room price. Good quality, reasonably priced for Kensington & a great location to explore London.

The room and location are great. The first day we arrived there was a protest happening at the embassy next door and it was very loud. We had jet lag and wanted to sleep so that was frustrating, but not the hotel's fault.

4 start hotel £157 for one nights stay. I no its London but I expect the bathroom sink to drain which it didn't. The shower had black mould on the ceiling. One of the power sockets didn't work so I had to unplug the kettle when charging my phone. The inc breakfast was help yourself buffet but beans were cold and eggs bacon were Luke warm. I wouldn't stay there again. Its a shame as the location was fantastic. This is my fist negative feedback I'm not normally bothered easily but my stay was ruined and its not cheap.

Nice hotel with friendly staff and clean rooms. The bathrooms are compact! There isn’t much space either side of the bed but there is ample space at the foot of the bed where there is a chair, small table, desk etc. There is a wardrobe in the entranceway which is plenty of space for a short stay. The room had a mini bar with spare space for you to keep your own food, drink or medication in. The rooms have lovely high ceilings and large windows. The hotel is close to a few tube stops, natural history museum, Hyde park, Kensington palace, royal Albert hall, Knightsbridge (including Harrods) so a good location for a tourist that is after a non-chain hotel.

Excellent service and spacious room. First hotel I have stayed at that provides 3 seperate beds — such a good idea. Located opposite the Imperial college university campus but still within walking distance of the Royal Albert Hall, Kensington High Street as well as the museums in South Kensington. Staff were really helpful and friendly. Only downsides were the slightly worn bath tub & sink however the room was massive.

Room was too warm all the time, no way to cool it down. Receptionist insisted whole hotel would lose heating if 1 room was cooled. Standard has dropped significantly since last visit in Oct 2016. Used to be go-to hotel in London, now will not visit again.

Nice hotel in a great location. Our stay was let down by traffic noise so avoid a room at the front of the building if you want a restful night. On checkout we complained about the noise and lack of sleep but staff did not resolve adequately so only two stars.

Nice place. Nice staff. Remember to top up bacon after 9am. Excellent brakfast. Clean rooms. Super marked and starbucks behind the hotel 6 minutes to go to Hyde Park take bus 10 Oxford Street. Long walk takes 8 minutes to go Royal Albert Hall. Close Gloucester tube stations. Travel Buddy was excellent.

Superb. Not too many frills attached but a great place to stay. Staff were fantastic throughout our stay. Excellent, just out of town location with great transport links to get back into the city.

Comfortable, spacious, clean. Friendly staff and clean rooms. Excellent breakfast. A pity there is no restaurant. Bar selection and bar service disappointing. In the future, I'd suggest changing the black and grey paint as it affects a welcoming atmosphere. Just a detail.

Service on reception very good, quality of room good although attention to detail on the bathroom was lacking (empty toilet roll on holder, bits of who knows what stuck to the door), Tv in room could only get BBC1 — maintenance was sent to have a look at issue but said he could not fix, said sorry and that was it (not good)! Door as you got out of list looked like it had been missed when decorating, not a nice first impression!
Would I stay again, yes it was overall good — maybe a bit overpriced by about £30-40 per night!

The hotel itself was lovely, however we could not keep our window doors shut in our room 104, and it was freezing at night told Sarah on reception who basically did not want to know! The toilet was covered in faeces around the rim which you could only see when you laid in the bath. The food on room service was very poor and burnt… we were still charged full rate!
It's a shame because they had plenty of staff but they didn't do anything!

I stayed at the Queen's Gate Hotel in June 2017. When​ I booked the hotel, the pictures of the room type I selected showed a large room. When I checked in, the room was a queen bed with about 1.5 feet of space on all sides and a closet sized bathroom. It looked nothing like the pictures. Additionally, the room type promised an approximate size of 18 square meters. I measured the room (bathroom included) and it measured a mere 13 square meters. This is an enormous difference in spaces this small, and was a straight up lie on the website. I immediately returned to the desk and asked for a room comparable to what had been promised and was told the hotel was fully booked, but an upgrade was available that I could pay extra for. This was an entirely unacceptable solution, and these deceitful business practice makes me unable to recommend this property. The hotel was nicely decorated and clean; however the entire lobby smelled of cigarette smoke throughout my stay, and the view from my room was of a dirty dark alley.

I highly recommend staying at the Queen's Gate Hotel in South Kensington. In the recent past, we stayed there on a family trip and found the hotel to be a perfect spot in a lovely, safe neighborhood. This past weekend, our college age daughter was stranded, alone in London due to the British Airways IT catastrophe. She immediately thought of the Queens Gate and made her way there hungry and tired. Upon arrival at the Queens Gate Hotel, she experienced kind, helpful hotel staff who guided her to nearby cafes and shops. Her room was exceptionally lovely and quiet. Mr. Shane, the manager, was particularly gracious and hospitable. Great hotel, great experience!

Very comfortable hotel. The rooms are a little small but functional. In Kesington, a very rich area of London. Close to Gloucester station, very well located. Opposite the Imperial College and the museums of CS natural and that of Alberto I go Victoria. Recommended.

"All right but some offside" The room was quite large and clean, the bed comfortable. Equipment to a 4star hotel. The bathroom was a bit small, no shower of its own (combined with bathtub). The location is not quite in the centre, accessible by metro in 10 minutes (in 3 minutes at Hyde Park). However, more and more almost as long for the way from the hotel to the station should be expected.

I'm am currently staying here and am very disappointed with the standard of the room. I have had to ask for the bedding to he changed on arrival, as it was soiled and torn. There is a charming brick wall outside the window and there is damage to many surfaces in the room, including torn wall paper, a bedside table with the wood ripped away across the entire front of it, I have never seen a bath so chip in all my life and the floor is uneven and has a large dip in the cheap laminate flooring in the entryway. Needless to say I cannot wait to get out of here and back home! And to top it off I'm sitting in the bar listening to "ahh f#$king hell and Jesus Christ" drifting over from behind the bar!

It was comfortable and clean. The room was very small and you couldnt even walk your luggage at the end of the bed. For the price, I think the room was overpriced as I have stayed in many where it has been of similar price but bigger rooms.

A very good hotel with large rooms (wit had booked a 3-bed rooms), a good selection of buffet breakfast and friendly staff. The situation is quite calm and several Metro stations are within 10-15 minutes walking distance.

All in all, I've lived here is very good. Hotel in a great location, close to Metro station and the beautiful Hyde Park, breakfast very nice, rooms are small but functional and cost-effective, the only thing not too satisfied with the room air ventilation, a little boring … … And the air conditioning doesn't work at night, and had to wake Windows that open. Seems to be good during the day, but always hot and cold are two mode switches, I will come here again because it's safe and convenient.

Verry nice dinner and food fast. I love to the abba Queen's Gate Hotal in London. I am going to London job for driving car and bus, truk…

Great room, excellent bathroom, good Wi-Fi, helpful staff, tasty breakfast. The hotel is excellent for the price and in a lovely neighborhood. Our only complaint: it's a good five-minute walk to the nearest tube station.

Good location good facilities, friendly staff all perfect.

We only had a one night stay here but it was very nice. Will definitely return as it's so central for all the museums, Royal Albert Hall is only a 10 minute stroll away, Hyde Park etc. The breakfast was very well executed, and so much choice from cereals, and fresh fruit to everything cooked. If I had any criticism then it would be the shower head, this needed a bit more of a clean and for a 4 star hotel was a bit of a disappointment.

Somewhat spacious for a South Kensington hotel, but still very "European" and somewhat spartan. When I was there, none of the staff seemed to speak English (the hotel seems to be managed by a Spanish company. Their full English breakfast was a little odd, with a Spanish flair (including tortillas de patatas, for example). Easy walking distance to Hyde Park or the Natural History Museum and Royal Albert Hall.

The staff is very attentive and they also speak Spanish. The very spacious room, very comfortable bed and the bathroom is not lacking in detail. Always you are the room clean. You can walk to almost all the tourist sites of London, if you like to go; If not have several metro stations and bus 5 minutes stops. He would return to this hotel without hesitation.
