Ordered food, after 40 min the food still not coming, bad bar and kitchen staff! Not recommending!

Food is crap (went there last night) my school dinners where lot better than the crap they pass out, do yourself a favour go to weatherspoons and get a higher standard of food and cost about 70% less.

Popped in on a Saturday lunchtime whilst waiting for my friends. The place smelled of bad stale beer, tables were still dirty and sticky from night before. The staff who served us drinks had really dirty and stained shirt and waste coat on. I ordered G&T and was given a short whisky tumbler where I could obviously not fit the whole of the tonic water from the bottle I was given. Noisy child was watching a cartoon from a tablet on very loud volume no one seem to care (even the parents for that matter) won’t be returning, sorry.

Had lunch yesterday and am now home food poisoned, so is the rest of my company so 4 of us in total. Extremely poor quality of food and bad service, basically no service at all.

Unfortunate service at the bar. Poorly prepared food, and subsequently 3 of the 4 of us have been sick the following day.
Shame as the pub itself is great but let down by everything in it.

Spent a really enjoyable afternoon/evening celebrating my mother’s birthday. Staff were very friendly, food was excellent and service was fantastic and what’s more they are dog friendly. Sunday roasts are a must! Thank you, we will be back!

Staff in my experience not trained, u pay nearly £6 for a pint and get a funny look when you ask them to top up a pint only 3 quarters full, happened more than once, not impressed at all.

Service was amazing. From when we entered till we left, not one foot was put wrong. Friendly staff and management on a busy Saturday afternoon. Lovely menu to choose from, great beers on tap, even tasters were offered of the various options I didn't know. Food was quick served hot and all perfectly timed to arrive at the table all together. Small things one appreciate when dining in a group. Well done Dog and Fox, our meal and evening was super. Thank you.

A nice pub, my Sunday roast chicken was well cooked. However the chicken burger made with very cheap slices of burger cheese. That wasn’t great, very poor quality. Half table service, then left to get your own cutlery which is odd perhaps choose one or the other.

Good pub, nice place. Staff is kind but overall not exceptional. The veggie burger I tried was very basic.

I went because it said that it was a pub but I think the word that fits better it's restaurant. If you go to the terrace it's nice and informal, but inside it's more formal. Didn't like the music + it was so loud that I couldn't chat with my friends. All in all, I'd say that it's a good place to go for a date or a meeting with just one friend but not for groups of more than 3 people.

I live in Wimbledon and love Wimbledon Village so it's a shame that this pub is the only one right in the middle of it. This is the third time I've experienced rude service from the staff here and I won't be going back again. Last night I was waiting to be served and the bar lady knew I was next but decided to serve the man next to me who had only just arrived. It was obvious she was choosing to ignore me and I had to point out that I was next. She then served me with a rude attitude. I had the one drink and left — I do not expect to pay the extortionate bar prices whilst being made to feel like a piece of rubbish by the staff. The last time I came to this pub, me and my friend waited so long at the bar (because we were being ignored) that we walked out. The management need to start employing better staff here, I've already got friends who refuse to come here because of the bad service and i'm now another Wimbledon resident who won't be back.

Cozy rooms, with good beds and nice little shaving/showering packs. Well placed in Wimbledon. A lot of little shops and things to do in the area. The restaurant is also really good. Some good vegan options including a delicious mushroom burger which is definitely worth a try. Fairly priced for the area as well. Good atmosphere. Nice comfy corner booths. Friendly hotel staff and waiters.

Amazing food and even better cocktails! Such good vibes in this pub. It's my go to pub as I'm always guaranteed a good fun evening with my friends. I always land up walking away with new friends after a day at D&F.

Actually, surprisingly good service last night, the staff really seem to be a lot better than I remember. Bravo! Also, draft Moretti and Estrella? Can't go wrong really.

My local with amazing drinks and fantastic people. Really wide selection of good drinks and lots of snacks to go down with it. Did is also great and service time is really quick. Friendly bar staff and sometimes lets the little dogs in. Very comfy interior with leather sofas and a great dining area and outside tables for summer.

I love the pub itself… but I always feel a little bit let down by the food quality, considering the competition around it I would have expected better with food, but with that said… it is a great pub, in the summer it's FANTASTIC and over Wimbledon time you can imagine it's nuts. The staff are all nice! And living literally a stone's throw away it's a great place to hang out night or day, weekday or weekend. Xx.

This is a great pub in a great location! On a summers day if you are lucky enough to get a seat outside you can sit for hours which seem like minutes. We have eaten here on many occasions and the food has always been good to excellent for pub grub. Good selections of wine and beers to compliment, however, stay away for the Wimbledon tennis tournament unless you are happy waiting for 20 mins for a drink. Victim of its own success and location but highly recommended.

Lovely building, large bar area and a quite grand dining room. Pleasant ambience on a delightful spring day. Attentive staff and good beer!

I've been to the pub a few times. There's always a good atmosphere and there are a good selection of food and drink on offer. It's slightly pricier than I would like though.

Great customer service and consideration. Although we did not have a reservation they allowed my mother and us to sit at a table until the guests that had booked arrived. Many thanks.

One of my favourite hotels. Beautiful boutique rooms. Tried the luxurious fox suite once. It's massive with a four poster bed and a bath tub in the bedroom to relax in. Even the dog suites are comfortable and Great for a few nights sleep after the busy days in London. Great service and awesome breakfast.

One of my favourite pubs, by a long shot. Totally dog friendly, dog even allowed in the dining room which is very unusual for a pub. Absolutely fantastic food, and the building itself is incredible. Can’t recommend enough!

OK… Roast was OK but seriously, TWO small potatoes? I won't be back for a while as the toilets were some of the most disgusting I've ever visited! OK (ish) food, good choice of drinks, good service but the toilets! it's Wimbledon people, not some third world poverty stricken country! … There is absolutely no excuse in this day and age for toilets that should rightly be condemned! Not a dog fan either… Dogs in restaurants… I didn't know when I booked. Would have gone somewhere else.

The location of the hotel is nice and it's right in the centre of Wimbledon village. The food choices are good and the quality & quantity are generous. However, the service could have been much better. Having been three times already, the service levels were still not up to the mark.

Stayed one night here, and it's not expensive for such an affluent area. But it's like a rabbit warren; I wouldn't like to be caught in a fire there. The room was large and 'quaintly' decorated, but the loo was squeezed in a corner by the bath and impossible to sit comfortably on, plus the loo seat was broken. The pillows were hard, so inexpensive it might have been, but next time I'll pay more and go somewhere better.

As the central pub in Wimbledon Village, the Dog and Fox is always popular, particularly at weekend lunchtimes. You will often see people wandering forlornly, looking for seats. It is no surprise though, as they offer good food (including excellent roasts), a decent selection of Youngs beer and other drinks, rapid & professional service, some comfortable chairs (if you manage to grab one! ), and the building itself feels roomy and full of character. The Dog & Fox is not cheap, but then nothing in the area is.

Nice enough place with tasty enough food, but it's just not good value for money. Went there for brunch, and the smashed avocado on toast was just one slice, with hardly a generous amount of avocado. Lonely little thing on a big plate, and £9.50. Tasted nice, but we left pretty hungry.

Fantastic pub, demonstrated by how full it is all the time. It's only negative is that it's always busy but when you get a table, you're happy to settle in for the foreseeable. Good drinks and even better food.

Lovely feel in the restaurant and the menu looks lovely. However the food is achingly expensive, I would highly recommend for drinks and group meet ups as they had live music in the bar and the drinks aren't too dear.

Had our staff xmas party. Good venue but the bar counter is too busy at best of times on a Saturday. Pace and urgency was lacking. Apart from that all good.

Nice spacious pub located in the heart of Wimbledon village. Great for Sunday roasts. Closes too early on a Saturday though.

Lots of kids and dogs so very family friendly. Lots of space and good food. Not the cheapest place, but it was worth the slightly pricier cost. A nice place.

Very good food. The fries where perfect as well as the burger. Waiters where kind but did not put the necessary condiments (ketchup, salt)

I love the dog n fox. It's a great place, really nice old building. Lovely bar area, inside and out. The food is very good and they have a decent selection of beers, largers and ciders. The one thing that gets me though is the mark up on beers and bar snacks. One beer, three packets of crisps and some nuts cost £23. That's just too much.

The food was fantastic, service was great and a good choice of beers made this a lovely lunch. Will definitely go back.

Went as a group for a pub dinner in the restaurant. We were easily able to book a table for 6 of us by calling late in the afternoon with no issues. The food was delicious — it was a Sunday so lots of options for traditional Sunday roasts. Good range of drinks. Everyone left satisfied and happy.

Nice hotel, rooms are clean, and adorable. Very quiet place. Food is what you can expect from a pub in England. Nice place to have a drink with friends, very well located in lovely winbledon village.

I found this place perfect for a warm brunch on my own. Spacious interior with a cozy multi-purpose feel, but clearly way better food than a typical pub. Lots of inventive brunch options and a buzzing bar. I had this Brioche with mushrooms in a garlic/parsley sauce + poached egg, and it was perfect! Especially at £7… there are also long high tables for groups drinking, more traditional tables, and cozy couch benches under the windows. I think I'll hang out a while :)

Came and had a roast here last year which was amazing. Today we returned and it was not the same — the Yorkshire pudding was much smaller, the meat was not pink and a bit tough, the portions weren't what we would have expected for £21 (2 roast potatoes! ). Not a bad meal but nowhere near how good it used to be, don't know what has happened…? Fair enough we came late in the afternoon so maybe the best food was already gone but what a shame.

The bar was very spacious and well air conditioned, and the staff were very friendly. We sat in the small outdoor area and the benches and tables were large and comfortable. A great choice of beer on offer too! Would definitely visit again!

Didn't respond to an email after 4 days when I had called out the service. Good pub for a pint, don't bother with food. I don't often review but they have disappointed me twice.

Service amazing young lady from the USA served all 10 1/2 of us. Food was lovely, as a vegetarian I always end up with the same crap every menu but I chose the cauliflower cheese. All I can say is the portion won it wAs like the ever lasting porridge pot lol. I felt like it was producing more as I ate it. My husband had the lamb with mash and root veg ragu and said he would travel down from Sunderland to eat that again (I did have a sneaky taste of the ragu n could have quite easily ate a bowl of that it was delicious) however a few of the party had fish n chips n weren't as impressed. I think that has to be judged on a personal basis though but all in all a fabulous dining experience would I go back? Most definitely x.

Regular wimbledon drinking tavern. Lots of seating but no craft beers or particular surprises. Standard Youngs Brewery stuff.

I had a great experience at the dog & fox, having stopped there for drinks on the way through. Thr staff were friendly and I would recommend it.

Huge pub with great atmosphere and great food. Child friendly with very nice staff, Sunday roast well worth it by bear in mind can get busy so book if you can.

Beautiful building with a really nice atmosphere inside. Dog friendly, and the stag were really accommodating for the dog and in general. The roast was delicious but two potatoes was a bit tight! Good experience overall and I would definitely go back.

I went for lunch on a Saturday with a few friends and found the food to be nothing special. Service was lovely but one meal was forgotten about and when brought out, the kitchen had replaced one of the toppings with another without asking if this was okay. Two of the meals were bland and a little sorry to look at. I understand from my friends that the food used to be good but it appears to have really gone downhill.

This place is a comfy, pretty trendy pub. They sell a few craft beers, ciders and a nice ginger beer. I was just passing through but it seemed to attract all ages and was full of life.
