Great stay and they even had a well known pop star to have breakfast with. Will be staying again.

Had afternoon tea, staff was very polite and friendly. The hotel decor was dated, but I like that. Lovely pictures on the wall.

Food was good, well presented and excellent value. Romantic setting and we enjoyed our meal.

It's lovely rooms fire blazing today was welcome on such a cold day. The only issue is the awful music in the bar which is too loud and spoils the lovely ambience that used to be present.

We took The in this lovely hotel which has a little room on purpose. Great service, sweet and savoury good and homemade scones great. We went with a coupon and had a really good time. I absolutely recommend it.

This hotel needs a complete refurbishment, it’s grubby and very tired. The royal afternoon tea was very bad, mini cakes all soggy and miniature scones heated up no fruit in and got no jam Glasses were dusty and unclean, very disappointing and waste of money and time.

Outstanding location and fair price considering how expensive it is to stay in London. Unfortunately, the charming building is rather old so walls are thin and floors are squeaky.

The location is good, but the rooms, at least mine very uncomfortable. First they gave me a very small room that I didn't accept and then they gave me a bigger one but with steps in the room. To access the room or bathroom the only tiny placard had to descend 6 steps. Plus there's a lot of noise in the hotel.

Nice and clean hotel with air conditioning in the rooms, and close to the shopping streets.

Amazing place. Very relaxed surroundings. Had a lovely champagne afternoon tea with my lovely girlfriend.

It’s a very tired, small and overpriced hotel.
The location is good though. However I had money stole from a wallet which was hidden inside my suitcase.

This is our second visit to the Leonard and we find it a very friendly welcoming hotel with great service and friendly helpful staff. Beautiful old world charm.

Nice hotel but asked for tea twice and waited an hour but still no tea arrived. Service just none existent so gave up and went across the road.

Really good service, location could not be better and a fabulous value. We've stayed there twice now, the first time was years ago. She's a bit of a faded lady but if you can go with the flow of a few creaks and fussy thermostats, you'll enjoy your stay.

Nice hotel in a very central location. Modern, clean bathroom. The room was very comfortable and the breakfast was very good. Despite the central location very quiet and pleasant. Friendly staff. Many cafes and restaurants in the immediate vicinity. To Oxford Street not even 2 min.
So far the most pleasant hotel in this class that I have visited in London.

Tea was fine, service was a little odd but ok.

Not a very genuine afternoon tea here. No real cream, just cream icing and they served us cupcakes, CUPCAKES! All tasted store bought and cheap. Place looks nice though, hence the 2 stars.

The bar and restaurant are great at this hotel. Extremely comfortable with a relaxing and calm atmosphere. The food is delicious — I highly recommend. The waiters are really very nice as well. All positive from me.

I went with a group of four friends. We were shown to a nice table by the window. We went there on a Groupon deal and there was a bit of an issue with the security code. One member of staff went out of his way to try and sort this out. He went above and beyond and his customer service was excellent! The champagne was really good, the scones were still warm and very tasty. I can't fault it for the price we paid. The dining room was very traditional and cosy. Would recommend. Top marks to Reinson our waiter for sorting out the issues and making it such a lovely afternoon tea!

Visited Leonard hotel for the Royal Afternoon Tea and could not be happier with the service. Scones were very well made, the other items were on the sweet side but still hugely enjoyable. Wide variety of teas. Very professional staff. They were friendly and knew exactly what they were doing. As for the place I would describe it as traditional. Some reviews say it's old-fashioned but I think that's rather harsh. All in all I would certainly re-visit The Leonard Hotel again. I could not comment on the rooms or the main meals so this review is based on just the afternoon tea.

Went for an afternoon tea on a Saturday at 4pm. There were two choices of afternoon tea available. We had the Royal tea, which included a glass of Champagne. It was lovely. The sandwiches and cakes were made to perfection. There was a variety of different flavours of tea and filter coffee if preferred. Staff were very friendly and extremely professional. The whole experience was perfectly elegant. The decor of the hotel is old fashioned, almost like an old royal kind of feel, which personally was nice from the often modern, sleek and common feel in a high end hotel. Perfectly English and traditional. I would be very happy to visit again. However, if you're after the afternoon tea, you'll need to book early, a week at least in advance especially for weekend sittings.

We went to this hotel for Afternoon tea brought for me from my niece for my 60th birthday. We had a brilliant time. Sandwiches were very nice. Scones were still warm and very tasty the cakes were to die for. Really lovely staff got us a jug of nice ice cold water with lemon in it. One guy was fantastic we had a really nice chat and a good laugh with him his name was Rainsun highly recommended the afternoon tea. Also the toilets were lovely and very clean x.

The music being played was pretty horrible, but the high tea was nice.

Went to have an afternoon tea. Service was quite slow. Tea was good and was offered another teapot so that was good. Cakes were a bit sweet. Sandwiches were good tho also quite small but fine. I think they should offer an unlimited sandwich selection for the price one pays. Overall was good.

Convenient location (walking distance from marble Arch subway), small but elegant and clean hotel, breakfast plentiful and in context relaxing (just wake up there is no need of silence and quiet…). Turning the corner you will find one of the best Indian restaurants in London!

Staff were very accommodating with a last minute booking. Came here with a Groupon for afternoon tea, food and drink were of good quality. Service was a touch slow, but fine for the most part.

Our Daughter Roxii, a freelance journalist, booked us a three course meal via Wowcher and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience! Our waiters were excellent and the food with our choice of white wine was first class Our Daughter came along with us and we shared another bottle of vino with her in the relaxing lounge next to the restaurant with an open fire surrounded by Christmas decorations. The feeling was very festive. A fantastic experience!

Old style charm. A few crashing doors in the corridor outside the room woke me up which detracted from the stay a little. Comfortable bed. Bathroom had a bath in it! My view was of the kitchen area so more like victorian london themed view. I'd stay there again but possibly try somewhere else first if there were comparable options. As to value — £180 a night still feels expensive… but, great location. 1 min walk from marble arch/hyde park. If you are bored of the big chain hotel lack of personality then the leonard is worth a go.

I have been going to this place for over 3 years and it has never let me down, they have amazing service and clean room and apartments.

I had afternoon tea there yesterday. The staff were courteous, the food was yummy. Our waiter Abdel was very attentive. A fantastic experience I would definitely recommenmd this.

We stayed in the apartment,, nice and very traditional English style. The location is great. All the stuff are friendly and helpful. But the apartment had "ants" issue. But I would stay in it again :)

When you are booking a hotel room in London, you are generally afraid to end up in a claustrophobic room, no matter the chain, the location or the stars. The Leonard Hotel is an absolutely safe and reliable option, in a perfectly central location, with excellent quality of service and room options suitable both for singles, couples and families. It is ranked as a boutique hotel probably also in light of the warmth, the professionalism and yet the friendliness of its staff.

Lovely location and wonderful staff. The cookies at reception are wonderful, but the rooms are a bit old for today.

This a very old fashioned hotel which need to be refreshed, apart from the location, you get much better around for the price.
