Had a wonderful time here! The staff went above and beyond to take care of our stay! Wonderful rooms, food and staff!

A lovely hotel and wonderful room and delicious breakfast. What made it special was the man who first met us and looked after us. He was Irish but un fortunately we didn't get his name. He was lovely and really interested in us. When he found out we were attending Abba Voyage he immediately had a chat with us about that. He was amazing, an asset to your hotel.

We only went to the terrace bar for a drink and a light bite. We must have waited half an hour before the my food was delivered and then had to wait another 15 minutes before my daughter’s food arrived. Then, to top it off, the waiter prepared the bill before we asked for it, took away the plates whilst my daughter was still eating and charged us 12.5% service charge! Not a good experience I’m afraid.

Great hotel a bit quirky as it’s part of and old MI5 building, very comfortable, they dealt with a complaint about room AC not working quickly allocating us a different room.

Delightful full breakfast buffet in very civilized environment. Thoroughly classy! (not me,. The Hotel! ) 😉

The staff accommodated celebrations for my wife’s birthday with a lovely gesture of a specially made dessert and all presented it to her singing happy birthday. The building is so elegant and all the staff take such good care of you. We would love to go back but this time to stay at the hotel. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Fantastic service, lovely food.

This is a pretty hotel but the service is terrible. One night I spent 30 mins trying to get a hold of room service to place an order. Another night we were told there would be a 20 mins wait to eat dinner at the restaurant because one of the employees couldn't figure out how to seat 4 people because she only has tables for 2's. The room service wouldn't replace my coffee pods I had to call to get more and they would do turn down service differently every night. Just an odd hotel experience all around.

What a class! I came to London for a short period to follow up some personal matter. This is my first time to stay here and I am planning to stay here if any in future. This is one for the few real hotels in London. Walking distance from the Trafalgar square, Leicester Square and Piccadilly. Also walking distance from most of the musical theaters. On the same time, the hotel is located in a fancy and quite locality. Very safe locality. It has fancy restaurant Large cozy rooms with comfortable queen size bed Large bathroom with Jacuzzi Super server Wonderful professional and expert staff Great facility.

Stayed end of August for 12 nights, this's my forth stay and will defiantly not come back. The hotel needs a major update, improve the cleanness level of the rooms and restaurants, needs to train their staff starting from hotel manager to reception staff, room service and housekeeping. We found a mouse at the outdoor restaurant running between the tables (seems to be familiar with the place)! took a video and showed to the hotel manager who didn't bother to say anything or apologies. The receptionist charges our card twice and couldn't rectify the mistake until now and after we checked out. That's only two issues out 10 that took place during our horrible stay. Will defiantly not come back or recommend to others.

A lovely afternoon, on the terrace, sampling a selection of delicious, finger sandwiches, mouthwatering, mini cakes and scones, champagne and fruity, refreshing ice — tea, which was spot on. The birds were an added bonus to the afternoon. The lounge and the terrace were nicely designed. The terrace is my favourite, as it's a hidden gem, a haven, tucked away in London, excellent choice, of background music and a "chilled" ambiance with plenty of greenery.
What makes this hotel stand out from their competitors? Their outstanding, customer service and quality training. It's consistent from every member of staff. The young lady who looked after us today, I would like to refer to, what makes her shine from the other employees. Her name is Martina. She is very attentive, accommodating, polite, professional and implemented, service with a smile. She has an eye for detail and has a high level of EQ (emotional quotient). I hope she will be considered for the, "Employee of the year, " recognition programme for her exceptional, job performance.
We will definitely recommend and visit again, to try the ala carte menu. Thank you for making this visit memorable.

Very upscale hotel but quite relaxed with dress code presumably because of some many diverse guests. Lounge area is plush, relaxed and there was no sense of being 'rushed out'. The tea itself was excellent: good quality champagne; divine sandwiches ('proper' cucumber sandwiches as part of the selection) ; scones were a little small but were excellent too — the cream was *really* thick. We were too full after that to partake in the cake collection but a box was provided for us to take them home. Overall, an excellent experience and somewhere I would go again. Service (from Safia) was very courteous and thoughtful.

It is a great place to stay. Staff were friendly caring and pleasant, starting from the reception. Meals are very good and delicious. I want to thank Nick Goldwasser for all the process he made to make sure my mother enjoy. I booked here because of my mother’s birthday. I highly recommend the hotel for locals and foreigners. I would probably come back here.

Normally the team would get five stars but they didn't quite get it right this time. We booked on a package with the hotel but kept getting questioned over aspects of the package. In the end it did rather take the shine off our weekend as the repeated questioning made us feel we were deemed less worthy especially when we kept getting asked if we were Groupon clients. They said they would offer us a better deal next time we booked but we would have been much happier with free bubbly with our afternoon tea (which they knew we had booked) or even a free afternoon tea than an unspecified good deal on a prospective future visit. To be completely fair, many of the staff were very attentive and helpful but the administration of the package led to us being very disappointed in the hotel which has never happened before.

Had afternoon tea there to celebrate my sister's birthday. The sandwiches and cakes were gorgeous all washed down with plenty of tea and a glass of champagne! They even arranged some cakes with a candle on top for my sister to blow out — very thoughtful. The service was brilliant and the surroundings comfortable. Well worth the money.

This review is related to the restaurant itself as I've recently had the chance to dine there. The location/setting of the restaurant itself looks and feels like an oasis to chillout during sunny hot days. Amazing customer service on behalf of the F&B Team members, Alexandra and her male colleague (which name I forgot, sorry:) ) ; best balance of both professionalism and friendliness. Pricing wise: ££ — tasty food and affordable — being a luxurious setting.

We went today for my daughter's 21st birthday and had a wonderful time. Great service, great selection of tasty sandwiches, cakes and teas. They went the extra mile and brought out a lovely cake as an extra with a candle and all sang happy birthday even though I hadn't arranged it. Totally recommend it as a real treat!

Excellent stay: large, well-equipped and comfortable rooms, very good room service. Breakfast is good with a large choice; its price is, as usually, not cheap, unless you prepay it during check-in. Personnel is smilingly serviceable. This hotel is ideally located, close to Westminster, Trafalgar Square and with public transportation (the subway, notably) just a few steps away.

Absolutely beautiful! Excelleny service and so well taken care of! Bathroom had heated floors which was so lovely. No parking anywhere so good luck, but definitely worth a trip to stay here!

Such a nice hotel. Great location, lovely view of the Thames and the London Eye if you get a river facing room. We had a bit of trouble in our room with the facilities and were quickly moved to another room. Staff is friendly and accommodating. So happy we booked here, will definitely return.

We were a group of 10 and on a travelzoo deal. The venue was very nice and the table was ready for us, but, they first tried to give us the restricted menu when we were on the a la carte deal. After half an hour I went to ask why we had not had our order taken, been offered a glass of water or had our glass of prosecco. I was told I had not given them the vouchers, bit difficult with no service in sight. They finally got the orders taken, but one person having soup did not get their starter until we had all finished ours. The food was delicious, but the service took so long that after over two hours one member had to leave without desert or would have missed her train. After two and a half hours we had to ask if there was any outstanding cost as we had to leave. We were given a 12.5% service charge which although normally good and willing tippers we were reluctant to pay as the service had been so poor. We had to search for service on more than one occasion, there was no mint sauce to go with the lamb, they ran out of scallops only half way through taking the order for starters. It was not busy, I would say less than 10% capacity, but other tables came and went whilst we were still waiting for our meals. A real shame as it could have delivered so easily with a bit of effort. Was it because we were on a deal? if so they won’t be getting repeat business from any of us.

A room with no view. Please be aware that some of the rooms at the Royal Horse Guards Hotel have a view of a Brick Shaft. Their web site photos give the impression that you are going to have a good outlook. This is not the case with Room 404 (I would assume the same brick shaft view for all floors with rooms ending in 04). If your paying to stay in a 5 Star Hotel, most people would expect to see the sky or some form of outside view. If you book a Theatre ticket, the Theatre will inform you if the seat has a restricted view prior to your purchase. If you book a Cruise, you can choose if you wish to have a cheaper cabin with no window or a more expensive cabin with a window and view. The Royal Horse Guards Hotel should have a warning that some of their rooms do not have a view. The Staff were very welcoming and helpful and the afternoon tea was really nice. That is why 2 stars instead of 1 star. The chances are you will get a room with a view, but make sure you ask the receptionist if the room has a view or not?

The hotel itself is very beautiful on the other hand its architecture. Its historical past makes it more interesting!

Checked in at 3pm today — and my wife emailed prior to arriving to say it was my birthday and was told you were gonna do something “special” — however nothing was in the room and the noise coming from our TV is awful right now, we can’t even watch it! My wife went down to reception and they said “wasn’t there a birthday slate in the room” to which my wife replied no and now we are still waiting on maintenance too look at our TV — not a great start so far for my birthday celebration and what should be a 5 star hotel.

Beautiful hotel in a perfect location with fantastic views over the Thames. Staff were very helpful and friendly. There was a nice relaxing atmosphere throughout the hotel. Our room was a little noisy due to roadworks the original windows weren't the best at keeping the noise out. Buffet breakfast had a very good selection the bar area was nice. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel.

This building is stunning. The art and architecture is a joy to experience and the views from the upper floors an added bonus. The books in the main hall make it a little like stepping into the library in Beauty and the Beast!

My daughters booked the champagne afternoon cream tea for a birthday surprise. Beautiful area for the afternoon tea, staff very attentive and friendly. A little way through, they brought a little platter with small cakes decoration with a lit candle and sung happy birthday! A nice extra touch. Thank you.

I’ve been to different hotels, some of which were beyond imagination awful and thought I can hardly be impressed by anything but I was mistaken… The unique and only multi-purpose wardrobe/safe-box/minibar facility in the Royal Horseguards Hotel is a marvel! You can easily hang your socks in it and even underwear if it is not too long! But there is also a chair at your disposal where you can try to put your trousers, then jacket and then coat on top it — works brilliantly!

Rooms: Top! 5 star Facilities: from iron to TV in the bathtub all available staff: This topic is the most important for me, every employee I had contact with was extremely helpful and wanted to fulfill every wish to me and my partner.
Breakfast: Very large selection with high quality products from scrambled eggs to walnuts all available.
I can recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to experience something special.

Beautiful hotel with very good service. Fantastic location and wonderful views from our river facing room overlooking the Thames and London Eye. Only negative is the noise from the traffic was quite loud even though we were on floor 7! Woke us up a couple of times but the comfy bed and dark room meant that we found it easy yo go back to sleep quickly. We look forward to our next stay.

We stayed in a Deluxe City View Room and in my opinion, did not receive a 5 star standard stay at all. The rooms’ facilities were dated and old fashioned and the underfloor heating and towel rail in the bathroom did not work. When I turned the hairdryer on, the TV picture became fuzzy. Be wary of the rate you pay as I feel strongly that the rack rate advertised of approximately £365 for this room, not inclusive of breakfast, is extortionate. All the staff we encountered however were polite and courteous. There are better hotels in London offering the same facilities for a much lower price.

The hotel is in a great location and the next tube is only 3 minutes away. One lives "in the old building", depending on the location of the hotel, the view is better (higher floor or Themen-view incl. London Eye). Breakfast is OK. Service very good and the afternoon tea highly recommended!

The Royal Horseguards is ideally located square in the middle of London. Looking out the window, the London Eye sits right across the Thames River. Many other fun attractions like Big Ben and Trafalgar Square are within walking distance. The room is exceptional with everything one could want: comfortable bed, spacious bathroom with both shower and tub, and more nice furniture. The service is fantastic — these people really go above and beyond. Every individual is kind and helpful to the greatest extent and it's been a pleasure to stay at their hotel. 10 out of 10, would recommend to a friend.

A luxurious hotel for a very attractive price compared to the competing offers. The latter is very well located, the hotel is beautiful and the service perfect. Plus, what a nice surprise to get upgraded. If I return to London, I'll choose for sure this hotel!

I really like this hotel. It is in a great location on Whitehall so really close for lots of stuff, plus the building is fantastic. Inside is done out really nicely — old style rather than modern and contemporary and it suits it. The rooms are good. Beds really comfy. Heated floor in the bathroom which is amazing in the middle of the night or the morning. A TV in the bathroom if you want a soak in the bath and watch some TV (Hint — whatever channel is on the bedroom TV is on in the bathroom — took me a few mins to figure that out). Free mini bar snacks (crisps, cold soft drinks, chocolate). I really recommend staying here if you are in town — lovely place. Breakfast is great too.

5 star hotel right by the river. The lobby is charming in the most British way you could imagine — decked out in red and gold for the Christmas season and serving mulled wine as the choice of complimentary beverage for guests. Don't forget to take advantage of your free beverages inside your room's mini bar. Air conditioning unit could be renovated so as to reduce the loud noise it makes during the night. Overall, good hospitality and convenient location right around the corner from Embankment tube.

Classic building of classic construction, located in the center of London, currently very used for business events, meeting and meetings due to its large spaces that give the possibility of assembling all the necessary equipment for them, as can be scenarios, projections and everything emprecindible.

Our booking included a complimentary bottle of wine and everything in the mini bar was complimentary as well. Our room overlooked the river and the London Eye. The floors in the bathroom are heated which feels great on cold mornings. With our booking we also got a free buffet style English breakfast each morning. Everybody was very accommodating. Very closely located to Trafalgar square and quick access to the soonest. 10/10 would stay there again.

This historic building is well located for business and tourists alike. The high touch and elegant surroundings coddle guests with luxurious traditional furniture and decorations while discretely incorporating a high level of technology. Even the most economical room offered a TV in the shower and a minifridge stocked with FREE mineral water, Coke, diet Coke and snacks. The food is not overly complicated but is well executed with excellent ingredients. This is a hotel to fall in love with. And, then there is the history!

A beautiful hotel with friendly and approachable staff. A large restaurant and lounge area are available, serving tasty food. A small bar and a quiet room is adjacent. Bedrooms are large, deluxe double, with complimentary mini bar, clean bathroom and very comfy beds. Porters are very helpful and knowledgeable. Payment and currency conversion available. Within 10 minutes walk of Trafalgar Square, 5 minutes from the River Thames.

Very well kept hotel in an ideal surroundings on the banks of the river Thames. Close to sights such as Trafalgar Square, The Houses of Parliament and the London Eye. The hotel staff are courteous and always helpful and the food is excellent. I would recommend this hotel to visitors even though it's not cheap.

Just superb. The hotel was as opulent and luxurious as you'd expect from a five star hotel, but the staff were also extra accommodating; nothing was too much trouble and they were always on hand in case they could do anything else for you. The only food I had at the hotel was breakfast, and it was exceptional, with a wide range of cereals, cheeses, cold meats, continental pastries and a full English buffet. The room was clean, well stocked and offered a great view across the city (we were on the 9th floor).

I gave a 5-star rating when I checked into the hotel with my wife days ago. We are here on holidays. Everything was perfect. The staff at the reception at the check/in was very professional and helpful. The hotel is nice and beautiful. The room is nice and clean and perfectly sited facing the river and London Eye. Just as we thought the good memory will last, but as I am writing this review right now which is 8 mins to 12 midnight, we are still being tormented by the loud disco music coming from somewhere below our hotel room. The music has been blasting loudly since 8:30pm. I do not think we are going to have a good night rest. Hotel management need to look into this.

My first time here and I really loved it, although the rooms are a little smaller than you would expect (i had the deluxe river room) the views are stunning and the service is worthy of 5 stars. I had their afternoon tea service, delicious with signature strawberry and cream tea. The breakfast was wonderful better than most restaurants we visited. Definitely stay here at least one night if you can afford the luxury.

Thought it would be great because of reviews and the impressive architecture… wrong… got in and check-in took forever… got to room, no mini-bar as promised, called operator, no answer 5 times (let ring until timed out), finally answered said they would move me and to call when I was packed, called when I was ready, another person answered, had no idea what I was talking about, finally figured it out and I finally moved… get there and mini-bar is half empty… complain and let them know that I did not use any of these drinks… get a knock at the door, hey here's a complimentary bottle of champagne! Wow great… 2 seconds later doorbell rings… sorry not for you… never asked to restock what was gone… Also no cell reception… all in all quite possibly the worst first night in a hotel ever and I travel 35% of the year at least.

I was expecting much more for the price. They do have a fantastic location, but the overall room was small and a a bit dated. Additionally, though the staff was very friendly and courteous, they seemed to be quite over capacity leading to long wait times to check in and out. The breakfast was decent but again a bit overpriced from what you get. I think that if you really want to stay near embankment then book this place, but for you money you are probably better elsewhere.

I love this hotel and I like everything about it. It seems more like a London Club and has a much more intimate feeling that its contemporaries. It could perhaps do with some more imagination in the Equis bar which sort of nearly works but does not quite live up to the London cocktail bar expectation. Only a minor point which is why I have still scored it a 5. I have stayed in this hotel on three occasions and loved both rooms one double and one double twin. Ask for James or Ssank or Conrad if you can.

Located in embankment, facing onto the Thames with a brilliant views of all the local landmarks. The rooms are spacious and impeccably well kept. Service is highly responsive and quick to attend to you with a smile. A lovely to go and one I couldn't praise any higher.

The location is excellent, very close to embankment and Charing Cross and with a river view room the view is wonderful across the river and overlooking the south bank. The building has a gorgeous exterior and the interior decoratoon is lovely.

After a long trip arriving at The Royal Horseguard Hotel and being treated like a guest should be treated. Absolutely amazing, the service is phenomenal. By far the best place I have stayed in all these years traveling around the globe.

I only stayed here once but I still can say that this is a decent hotel to stay with. Good service, good customer service, nice place. I really enjoyed my stay.

If you like indian food please Try The Taj Restaurant in 10 Carlton Parade Orpington Kent BR6 0JB open 7 days a week Monday to Saturday 5.30pm to 11.30pm and Sunday 5.30pm to 11.00pm.

The absolute best hotel in London. If you are reading this review while still deciding whether to stay here, then please do choose to book. The staff are wonderful, the rooms are lovely (& all nice and quiet too), the entire place is immaculately clean without feeling cold in any way, the location is perfect, and the facilities are very good too.

The last time we were here was during our family trip! We super adore your interior design and room arrangement. Booking is also hassle free and your staffs are welcoming and responsive with every questions that I asked. Good service.

Wow. I was lucky enough to be treated to two nights here and it is an experience I will never forget. At first, I felt a little out of my depth, from the moment you step inside The Royal Horseguards you can tell it is a place of luxury. I felt like Cinderella entering the palace still wearing my rags. But the staff completely put me at ease, they made my partner and I very welcome. When we got to the room there was a complimentary bottle of wine waiting for us, a terrific view across the Thames to the London Eye and A TV OVER THE BATH. Trust me, watching TV in the bath with a bottle of red is hellish fun. The hotel itself was so beautiful itself to look at that we had to drag ourselves out of there to go explore London. We couldn't resist taking a look around and found the most exquisite marble staircase. Breakfast each morning did not let the side down. There was a great range to choose from and all of it was scrumptious. All in all, very expensive but you definitely get your money's worth.

Great hotel in the centre of London, less than five minutes walk from Trafalgar Square. Full of beauty and elegance.

A 5-star for their customer service, place and hotel services. They got nice and friendly staffs that will welcome you with a beautiful smile so one pretty smile can make a day wonderful. I was happy with my experience here so far.

For British food, not too bad.

A beautiful hotel situated right on the banks of the Thames where you can enjoy the most beautiful part of London, very close to the houses of parliament, Big Eye, or other spectacular locations and characteristic of the capital of England. The facilities are really nice, classic and craft in addition to lighting the same something really amazing and very well managed.

The Hotel has been renovated but in an approximate way, the rooms that are given to tourists are without light and without view because they overlook the inner courtyards, to have an acceptable view you have to shell out 25 pounds more per day! A burglary! The breakfast is monotonous… always the same things without a slight variation… The bathroom is old and modest… In general it is a Hotel to avoid for the value for money absolutely unbalanced!
