An excellent budget hotel with a good location in Paddington.
The staff was very serviceminded.
The breakfast was excellent.
The 3 bed room was clean an nice.
We can definetely recommend this hotel. 2019 January.

Great location – two tube lines just five minutes walk, as well as Paddington railway station, from which you can get straight to Oxford. The neighbourhood looks pretty safe and very clean. The receptionist tries to be as polite as possible, which makes you feel he is not sincere, just playing his role. If you leave the luggage before they are able to check you in, they will than bring your stuff into your room, which is great. The room is very tiny, but clean. Good value for this price. Breakfast is quite strange – nothing to eat properly, just toasts, jam, some fruits and tea.

Nice and unpretentious, this little Hotel deserves a good review: good location, great service by the Receptionist, lovely room, clean, tidy and with all comforts for a ridiculous price. Some of the bedrooms are split over two buildings, no lifts in the block around the corner but it was worthy climbing four floors to reach a cosy loft with sunshine and bright natural light. The room was clean and equipped with a mini fridge, a flat screen TV, a compact bathroom and tea and coffee facilities… Air conditioning system was a nice addition, for some reason the remote was missing so one had to jump out of bed to adjust the temperature, lol Overall, great hosts and facilities. Highly recommended.

My family and I were staying in a neat but old small penthouse room that was in another wing round the corner of Sussex Place. The staircase was steep and our bags were bulky and heavy that it was so exhausting for us to move up and down. The bathroom was not spacious enough for a big guy to turn around easily. The breakfast menu was much better than my expectation but we needed to travel to and fro the main hotel building each morning; thanks to God that there was not much raining. The fire alarm rang twice one morning but didn't know why or there might be someone smoking in their rooms.

Lovely staff so helpful loads of food and drink places around but yes rooms are small but for the price and area not bad at all.

My wife and I have been going there for 20 years. Great cleaning of the rooms with ladies always available. Great location, strategic for those who have to move. Very close to Hyde Park and Kensington Garden. Good breakfast, too, plentiful. Staff speaking Italian.

The staff was very friendly and very helpful even in the middle of the night, present all the Comforts and perfectly positioned to visit the city. The only flaw is the amount of stairs to do to get to the room, but surely there were also more accessible rooms given to older people.

Clean rooms not very spacious. The four stars go to the extremely strategic position. Poor breakfast for variety of choice and raw materials.

Great hotel in a lovely neighborhood — close to many attractions and public transport. Very nice and responsive staff. Room was small and basic, but a comfy bed, everything functioned, and price was quite reasonable. Would definitely stay here again!

Because of its location in the center, the value for money is difficult to match.

Simple and clean. Good location to visit London. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Had to 2t a very small room. 2 single beds were aneinandergeschoben and 50cm of space to go around. The bathroom was very small. However, we also had a balcony, a mini fridge and a TV. It was very modern and well furnished and very clean. Our room was in the 2nd building, speak once around the corner. Breakfast was lockable but tasty. The room for breakfast was in the building where the reception is. The room was also small and skinny, but it was enough for us. Service was great and also always put up for a joke despite the small room it is recommended to continue.

On arrival we found out that they are 4 floors by narrow and uncomfortable stairs. Sloppy, 1 Single window very small.

Lovely clean rooms, good sized beds in the single rooms. Friendly and helpful staff. Only negative point: windows need replacement, they won‘t keep the cold out. Steep and narrow staircase — ask for a ground floor room if you have any issues with climbing stairs, there is no lift. Great location: just a 5 minute walk away from Paddington station and Lancaster Gate station. With the tube or bus you can reach Oxford street in 10 minutes.

We only had a very small room in the basement with no windows. A disservice that such a thing is offered at all. After all, it was clean and the staff was friendly. It was enough for one night.

First list the positive points (it will go faster), the staff is very nice, and the bathroom is brand new, the location is good (close two lines Demetro zone 1), Nice neighborhood…
Then let's go to the grievances… Clearly the breakfast is a big joke… Products of little variety and of a quality frankly mediocre (in fact the products land directly from the wholesaler of the supermarket and are "skillfully" hidden under a tablecloth), we are in England, I would like to believe that the coffee can still be average… But even the tea is bland…
Then the cleaning is done every day… Yes… But on the other hand two beautiful red/brown spots were waiting for me for my first night… Obviously the sheets were changed immediately… But still…
Finally, and this is the Big black dot, book this hotel if you want to live with your neighbors of landing… The soundproofing is simply catastrophic, really… The walls could be made of pulp cardboard that it would hardly change…
All for a price… Too much too high… Oh, really…
Sincerely I strongly advise against this establishment, we find better for cheaper around the British Museum for example… Because I finish my stay with a slight impression of having been taken for a big big pigeon…

Small Hotel conveniently located in the High Park district. Close to transport and value for money more than suitable for London. Staff at the top and breakfast offering the basics.

Not what was advertised. Even being close to hyde park, it's not worth the money. Don't recommend.

Top location opposite Hyde Park, 2 blocks from the tube and a 20 minutes walk to Oxford Street shops and lively Soho. Rooms are small but clean and comfy, reception runs 24hr and always welcomes you with a smile. Wi-Fi is free of charge and a decent breakfast is included in the decent price. Value for money at its best! A serious option to consider if you're traveling CV to London!

We have been going to London for years and already have some hotels through.
At the Rhodes Hotel we spend our stay for the 6th time in a row because we feel very comfortable there. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are clean and modern renovated and very quiet for such a big noisy city, especially the hotel's 2nd house around the corner in Sussex Place. The breakfast room was slightly enlarged. We will continue to spend our holidays there and can certainly recommend the hotel.

Easily accessible from Paddington Station. Also, very close to Hyde Park. The room was small however very comfortable. Amenities such as AC, TV, dryer, fridge was provided. However, the breakfast room was under construction during our overnight stay there. So, we had to eat the bread, croissants which had been placed in the room there.

Room was very nice and comfortable. Beds plenty comfortable as well. Unfortunately the breakfast room was under construction though we were told it would be ready by the time of our stay. The breakfast they deliver to your room is mediocre at best. Also the stairs to the rooms are very hard after a long day but understandable based on the location of the hotel.

Room in the hotel a Victorian style house with renovations pending clean and quiet, close to stop D metro and bus, no problem whatsoever, we would return.

Very nice place to stay. I was a guest there for 3 nights. Very easily accessible from Paddington underground station. The staff is polite and helpful. The rooms are not very spacious, but are clean and well maintained. Stairs are a bit narrow, so can be difficult if you have oversize luggage. Their kitchen was being redone while I was there, so cannot comment on the food. But there are many eateries and pubs close by, so it is not a major concern.

Fantastic location a 2 minute walk from Paddington Station. Very friendly and helpful staff. Yes the room was quite small but it was clean and the bed was soooo comfortable. Lovely pub (The Victoria) just down the road too. Would definitely recommend.

Conveniently located near Paddington Station. Reasonably priced.

This hotel was a great choice for our family of four (two adults and two teens). We had enough space in our quadruple room and it was clean with good furnishings. If stairs are an issue, request a room on the ground floor. We also requested a room in the main building. The free continental breakfast had plenty of variety and was a great way to start our day. Location is the best feature of this hotel as it is close to Paddington station and Lancaster Gate Tube. We could also walk easily to Hyde Park, Buckingham Palace, and Harrod's. The employees are friendly. Thank you Maria, Stefano, Panos, and Nitsa (and others) for a memorable stay.

Rooms were small but well appointed and looked after, and the hotel has a great location on the edge of Kensington Gardens.

Rooms are nice and clean. Mini fridge in room along with tea kettle. Very close to Paddington station. Place needs new pillows. Pillows are either too lumpy or just plain heavy.

Fantastic hotel with yet not so expensive. Nearby Paddington metro station and many halal fast foods around the corner.

I went to the UK for a study abroad and this was our chosen place of stay. Rhodes hotel is more of a family oriented hotel. It is warm and cozy.

Excellent location 4 min walk from Paddington, room 216 was nice with enough room for the two of us, my other half had fun in the jacuzzi which was great. 24 hour reception and could drop bags before check in and leave bags there after checking out. Good continental breakfast with as much tea and toast as you like. Option to buy cooked breakfast too. Only negatives are hard pillows which didn't bother me but my partner couldn't sleep and the croissants would have been nicer if warmed in the oven. All in all very good value for money and would stay again.

I stayed in the Rhodes Hotel for 5 nights with my family, we were four in total. I have to say that I found myself very well. Nice the outside in Victorian style, comfortable the renovated interior in a satisfactory way. Bathroom very large for a family, (the sink was a double bathtub), good shower. The beds were kinda hard as well as the pillows at least for family standards. Frigor, and a convenient electric teapot to prepare for the excellent English tea. Decent breakfast, I think they could also insert the eggs strappazzate in the menu all inclusive. Great location A stone's throw from Lancaster Gate station across from Hyde Park, and Paddington Junction station. Great reception make you feel right at ease. I recommend it to anyone who wants to have good value for money.

It is a charming family hotel, Victorian style with an excellent location very close to two metro stations and several bus stops. The staff is excellent. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The bathroom is large and bright. Daily they replenished the bathroom fixtures and all towels. The breakfast is very complete and is noteworthy that they serve you at the table drinks (coffee, tea, milk) and toast. Thanks, preventing the frequent queues that are organized in other services of breakfast in front of toasters and coffee makers. There is Wi-Fi and it works well. Streets leading to Garden Sanssex many restaurants of all types in which you can eat for a reasonable price/quality. When you return to London I do not mind repeating.

The hotel is well located, close to Hyde Park. The rooms are small but that's normal for London. The staff is friendly. Convenient prices are pretty decent.

Great Hotel well located.

We had a great stay in room 216, jacuzzi and balcony. As long as you know it's an economy hotel you know what you'll get. But it's probably most value for money in London. Great "we don't have it here but I'll go and get it for you"-staff, generous breakfast. Owner is a true character, as loud as he has big heart (Greek). High ceiling, clean. We stayed with our 1.5 year and went great. Just know there isn't an elevator and the rooms are small (as they are in London). Bathrooms are big compared to similar hotels. A special thank you to their handyman who fixed our daughters toy blow dryer.

We found the Rhodes Hotel London to be very good value.
The breakfast was plentiful with the fresh fruits much appreciated; the fridge in the room was good use for cold drinks. The beds were comfortable, the air-conditioning worked very well and the ceiling was high on the second floor.
We had a good talk with the personnel at the Hotel and we were surprised to know how scammers use information technology to get their insurance claims even in the Hotel industry.
Overall stay was pleasant and we will recommend this Hotel without any hesitation.

Great value. We spent a great weekend at London, staying at Rhodes hotel. London is not cheap, but Rhodes hotel provides a good location (just one street from Paddington underground/station). Aswell, is near from city center, just walking 25 minutes. Good service, clean, individual bathroom, free internet conection, moderate good breakfast. Rooms are small, but who cares if you just sleep there.
