Reviews of Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, London 5*
Great massage and afternoon tea highly recommended!
Top notch luxury, great customer service, amazing experience. Highly recommended.
Always an amazing experience, the concierge and the staff are spotless, and the food is exquisite.
Amazing stay! thanks for your attention and the lovely service in breakfast The best Hotel in England without a doubt 👌

Lovely one night stay, very helpful staff and a lovely welcome.
We had afternoon tea it was lovely. Staff were brilliant very attentive very friendly. Would definitely go back! Pastries were absolute perfection!
Very lovely afternoon tea, friendly, professional staff.
Our afternoon tea was amazing. We were here to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The staff were friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. Atmosphere was relaxing & extremely comfortable. Mark, the young Irish lad, who was looking after us was exceptional. Will definitely be returning very soon.
Just wonderful! Great staff and service, lovely atmosphere and super food and drink! A truly 5 star hotel.
We came in last Sunday, just for a drink or two. The waitress was lovely and attended to our every need. Toilets are lovely and really clean. Didn’t ever have a table full of empty glasses and never waited very long for a drink. I thought it was a lovely quiet hotel with a nice atmosphere. Would return again.
My favourite place in London! Very friendly staff and amazing service.
Amazing restaurant with the most kind and thoughtful staff, oh and the food was out of the park! Very reasonably priced too… Will definitely be back.
Absolutely beautiful ❤️ 100% It was a treat we saved up for and wow mandarin oriental certainly delivered ❤️ thank you so so much. Recommend everything from walking into hotel to walking out.
Good location and beautiful hotel.
Great service. Very friendly stuff.
Our whole experience was excellent, nothing was too much trouble and if something wasn’t quite right it was soon dealt with efficiently and professionally. Every member of staff where lovely, there is a real ethos of teamwork and being proud of being part of the Mandarin Oriental organisation. I will definitely be recommending it and look forward to visiting again.
Love the design, friendly staff, relaxing atmosphere….
Fantastic breathtaking view to the Hyde park.
Beautiful people. That's the best describing fact. Food was of course good. I eat at so many places. But the charm of people treat you is always a different feeling. Thanks alot guys!
Quality of service. Attentive and non patronising staff. Food in Dinner by Heston is exquisite… everyone should have a visit.
Kevin, the amazingly friendly concierge from Bordeaux, was most accommodating and helpful. What an absolute delight! I can not wait to return and spend some time at the bar, sipping cocktails. Heavenly. Simply heavenly!
Very nice place, lovely friendly staff, delicious food. One of the best hotel in London!
Just brilliant! Amazing attention to detail, great surprises for our anniversary.
The Mandarin has to be the most wonderful hotel chain on the planet for their luxury, delicious food, unique buildings and their absolute care to every detail.
Charming friendly 1st class hotel with superb service and great location.
The room is stunning, service was fantastic had the best time. Photos do it no justice you really need to see in person.
Beautiful building, lovely food and the staff very attentive and professional. The ambience was so lovely.
Really comfortable area, exclusive meals and very friendly staff! For breakfast, ask for a table in ‚Mark’s’ area! He does the sunrise on a cloudy day! 100% recommendation! We‘ll visit again!
Excellent staff for valet parking excellent decor good to hold functions.
Restaurant by Michelin star. The welcome and service impeccable. Exceptional cuisine, kudos big all of the staff including the kitchen staff. Dishes nothing short of superlatives, the price in the media. A special thanks to the Chef, the Sommelier, and the great David. Thank you, thank you all for the wonderful evening.
Amazing banqueting team and superb food.
Amazing place great for hosting an Event very professional and helpful staff.
We had our afternoon tea today with children. Staff were very friendly and helpful, afternoon tea one of the best I had in London. Service impeccable, halfway through my daughter said to me “I feel like a really princess today”, and let’s be honest that’s what it is all about. Thank you.
Great quality, and exclusive service.
The staff were very good polite & new the answers to any questions we asked. The hotel was very clean & looked lovely.
Hi fly recommended, one of the best hotel worldwide, staff at friendly provides excellent service.
Beautiful hotel, great location, ambience and staff wonderful.
Luxury at its best — the staff are wonderful and helpful — and an exceptional concierge —
I spent New Year's Eve at Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park 8 years ago and I still remember as one of the best NYE's I have ever had. Rooms were really spacious and well decorated. I know it has been a long time, but I am already looking for repeating it.
Great 5 star hotel. Love this place. Helpful staff and great wedding and party venue. Setup not so great as no real loading bay, but manageable with no tickets whilst outside on yellow line. Phew! 5star quality helpful staff. Shame about the fire there this week. Hope it all goes well. Looking forward to coming here again soon.
Great service, hotel in a good location.
One of London's most celebrated five-star hotels, Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park exudes an enticing mix of elegance and luxury. Having recently completed a multi-million pound renovation of the entire hotel, we offer a fashionable and timeless base complete with world-famous restaurants and a stunning spa in the heart of the British capital. very sad to say now the hotel caught fire. almighty, please save the hotel. And persons.
The food was excellent. Each dish was based on a historical English recipe. The wait staff provided incredible attention and were very friendly.
Fantastic Hotel in London that offers the highest quality guarantees and service of my favorite chain. Located in a privileged enclave in London, especially for me that I like so much to visit Hyde Park and Harrods:-)
Absolutely spectacular the food was amazing it was to die for and the staff were fabulous so very polite and really looked after us. The restaurant is a 5* by far. We were celebrating both our birthdays. I would highly recommend this place. Thank you for such a wonderful evening. X.
Probably really expensive … But a beautiful building.
We've been here quite a few times. Lovely service and set up, and good cocktails and afternoon tea. As opposed to have to book ages in advance somewhere else, just ring them on a Saturday morning and your table will be booked.
Hestons was amazing. Not a fan of them talking my credit card details fora booking. They told me it would be 50 pounds if I cancel. That's crazy but the food was phenomenal.
Luxury is hard to criticize. The only downside the price.
One of my favourite hotels, purely because the service is spot on and their attention to detail with the weddings they create are just incredible. Highly recommended for anything you need ❤️
Decent cocktails and service in their bar. Makes for a nice place to finish an evening.
A beautiful meal was had with great service. However with all things like this, it is the company you take with you that makes it special.
Mothers day afternoon at its best. I have now ranked this above Claridge's afternoon tea. The attention to detail was amazing at such a busy occasion. Plus hubby was pleased with beer tasting tea. Sandwiches and sweets were of a high quality and tasted great. Kids loved it too. Can't wait till the next visit… and there will be one too.
The history of the… Mandarin ORIENTAL Hyde Park Hotel, London. Friendship and good taste always lasts in the TEMPS Gràcies Marcel.
No doubt beyond expectations. From the reception to the service, it is a high profile restaurant. Excellent choice of wines and particularly wide. The dishes are from great international restaurant with attention to detail and with a refined approach. Simply amazing sweets. The environment is elegant, well cared for and rich.
Gorgeous hotel! The Rosebery Lounge is a sumptious place for afternoon tea and an endless amount of food, tea, coffee as well as such attentive staff! This is the place in London for a real treat! Beautiful experience and the food and tea was delish!
Absolutely fantastic and stunning place to dine. Myself and my partner booked our table on OpenTable for 28/01/18 and from the moment we gazed at the building to the moment we left we were treated incredibly. Food is spectacular! And the steak, oh my the steak was to die for! We shall be coming back in May to treat my mum to a birthday 3 course meal, she did recommend it to us in the first place.
The hotel is very comfortable, all rooms overlooking the city of Renovirovanye. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The beds were very well kept.
We went for dinner at Bar Boulud. We were greeting by staff who were very friendly and welcoming. We were given a table straight away and seen to by our server. The table was kept topped up with water and bread and butter. Our courses arrived in food time and were excellent. We came on a deal seen on book a table but that did not make a difference to the service. Every staff member we encountered were attentive and friendly. This is my third time attending and I will definately be attending again.
What a wonderful place! The service at this hotel is exceptional. The boulard bar is fantastic and Heston's restaurant was really worth a visit. It is not a cheap experience but if you are interested in his cooking then it is worth a visit. The food was really delicious.
Afternoon tea in the Rosebury Lounge was a lovely experience and really enjoyed the selection of tea and the unique way the food was served. Staff were well trained and engaging.
Heston Blumenthal's food is sublime. The Meat Fruit was excellent, the Powdered Duck Breast superb but the gem was the triple cooked chips with mashed potatoes. Would recommend to everyone.
One of my favourite hotels in London. The restaurant is amazing and the rooms are surprisingly cosy. The spa is closed for renovation at present though.
Visited the cocktail bar after a concert at the Royal Albert Hall. Great service, great cocktails… super high prices! Great for people watching. Will visit again for sure.
My boyfriend and I were celebrating an anniversary each year we choose a famous chef's restaurant. Dinner by Heston did not disappoint. Before going I looked at the menu and was unsure but the food was to die for. I had the meat and fruit to start followed by the chicken and cauliflower and the chocolate bar to finish and all of which was amazing. My boy friend had the rice and flesh, stake and brown bread ice cream again could find no fault. The service was fantastic too and met all our requirement. Watching the chefs cook your dinner just added to the experience you can see why this restaurant has michelin stars.
We booked for afternoon tea for a friends special birthday. The staff are wonderful and the service is exquisite. The afternoon tea was simply delicious. Petite sandwiches in various fillings. Scones with cream and 3 different types of jam/curd. Plum and cinnamon slice and mini batten burgs not to mention the individual fancy cakes. Compliments to the chef. You could also have more of whatever you wished. What more can you ask for. So many various teas and coffee too all served up on beautiful china. It was a wonderful afternoon. Thank you.
A male friend and I had come from one bar for drinks here one night and ended up sitting by a small group of Asian men. My friend left so I went to get a cab out front. One of the men must have followed me and was literally blocking me trying to get into the taxi saying he’d give me a lift. I politely said no yet he persisted trying to usher me away. Luckily, despite being quite drunk I managed to get into the cab. Ladies please take care as there are clearly predators in this bar. These men were vile. This could have had a different, far more serious outcome.
Stayed for a night before flying back to the States after a few weeks hopping around Europe — and I have to say, it was a fantastic idea to spend our last day & night getting pampered at the Mandarin! Did not have to lift a finger, we were treated excellently — allowed an early check-in which made such a difference considering we didn’t have the luxury of time. They made sure we were beyond comfortable! If you want a true, five-star experience, you won’t regret staying here. Our room was posh and incredible, thank you Mandarin! You will certainly see us again.
Luxury hotel with all the class you'd expect. Visited for Dinner by Heston but had a poker around the hotel as well. Great for a date even if you can't afford to actually stay there!
Absolutely amazing from the minute we walked in until the minute we left. I was dubious about portion sizes especially with the gluten-free and some dairy-free items however they didn't disappoint one bit. Afternoon tea was amazing. Usually, when you get gluten-free pastries and cakes they are dry but these were the best that I have ever had. I will be taking my mother next year for her birthday without fail. Thank you also for the celebration plate for my wife on her birthday, it was perfect.
We had a lovely afternoon tea experience. The service was exceptional and the food exquisite. We were very relaxed and not rushed at all. The Rosebery Lounge is a very pleasant setting and atmosphere. Highly recommended and we will be going back.
We ate at Dinner by Heston Blumenthal for our anniversary. The hotel and restaurant are lovely, the food was stunning. The table was positioned in front of the glass window to the kitchen, creating an amazing dining experience. The staff are well versed in the dishes, friendly and helpful. The cost is very high, but this is to be expected. Overall, I can't fault it.
We went to the Dinner restaurant and had an exceptional experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and even brought over a 5L bottle of wine just for us to have a look at when we asked about it. A combination of amazing food and many other little touches made this a truly memorable meal.
Won best contemporary afternoon tea 2016 and totally justified. Possible best afternoon tea place i've been to. Service is impeccable. Decoration is very nice. Impressive tea selection and food of high quality and extras offered multiple times. Definitely worth going to!
The HISTORY of the … Hyde Park ORIENTAL MANDARÍN HotelLondon La AMISTAD y el buen SABOR always endures in time Thanks marcel.
Amazing, amazing, amazing… 5 star died but do it justice, from the moment we arrived the staff were unbelievable so helpful and kind anything g you needed was not a problem, even if they didn't have what you wanted the would get it for you without making you feel it was a problem but a pleasure… extremely comfortable rooms and beds and perfect location overlooking Hyde park. The food and breakfast was amazing and the best of all was the flat white, best flat white we have ever had… I'm leaving feeling relaxed and pampered. I'll be back.
Classy location with numerous famous restaurants. Staff are nice when asking for directions, which you may need due to the construction. Small pick up and drop off area makes handling transportation a bit challenging but there is the underground right next door, so it's a great location.
What a hotel! You get what you pay for at this lavish but tasteful iconic London hotel. With prices on a par with what you'd expect for a building that faces Harvey Nichols and Harrods on Knightsbridge on the one side, and Hyde Park on the other. The rooms are very good quality though I noticed a few marks on the upholstery. The tea room and restaurant are both worth a visit on their own. The tea room does outstanding British Afternoon Tea with little tasteful twists, and a wide selection of teas and coffees. The staff are incredibly well trained and attentive. Properly trained staff are the foundation of any hotel or restaurant and the staff at the Mandarin Oriental are absolutely world class. Polite, fast, discreet and yet with a relaxing, reassuring demeanour. I felt thoroughly at home here.
The 2 best food in my life. Thanks, that's just art.
Great food and beautiful hotel. Hestons restraunt brilliant.
This is best located hotel but unfortunately the service and staff is below five star hotel to be honest it's more like B&B on the rood side. Room service is so poor you feel guilty for calling them. Food is always late and always missing something from your order or missing cutlery. Wi-Fi is very bad.
Really amazing food, perfect service and atmosphere. Pricey but you get what you pay for.
Decent, clean hotel with friendly staff. Wireless works great but the direct internet cable provided in the room did not work. The TV does not allow for plugging in devices.
Had dinner at the french bar-bistrot. Our meat on the bone for two was perfectly cooked and very tasty. Crab salad as appetizer was fine. My asparagus were of a variety a bit hard and too large, I prefer the smaller ones and more tender, but this is a matter of tastes. We had two glasses of wine, one white and one red and they were excellent. Prices are VERY high, but this is one of the poshest hotels in the world.
Dinner by Heston Blumenthal. Great food and excellent service! Try the meat fruit.
Had SUCH an amazing experience at the bar here — the cocktails are all so unique and delicious. The service was also spectacular. My group and I couldn't stop talking about how much we enjoyed it here — I can't wait to go back!
Dinner by H. Blumenthal. Seriously good! I have been fascinated by recipes from medieval times through the 18thC, so this was always going to be interesting. We didn't have the Tipsy Cake, largely because everyone said we had to, but everything else was delicious, perfectly executed, seriously brilliantly adapted and FUN! The Meat Fruit shows that El Bulli and Blumenthal weren't the first ones to want to delight us with delicious surprises. They were doing it 700 years ago. If you want to try something unique and exciting don't hesitate. Oh, and the made at your table with liquid nitrogen ice cream was the perfect showy end to the whole outrageously enjoyable dinner.
White negroni… Worth the trip alone.
Went for valentine's day dinner at Dinner at Heston's at the Chef's Table. A remarkable dining experience. Very interesting to hear the history behind the dishes and the variety of flavours was magnificent. Excellent service all round.

Very classy hotel, the usual high level of service. Personnel is courteous and happy to help. Food was good, not excellent though.
The location near Harrods is the only positive. Hotel impressive façade but Al flee! Inside the room out, worn furniture, heating and air conditioning very old, bath shower really out, mat off Hall. J hallucinated for a suite view park. Facilities are zero not worthy of a mandarin Oriental. Price and service you can find better in London.
I've been in the hotel several times, they can check. This time has been worse. By 3000 euros q have cost me two days. Already not worth. The hotel has lowered their quality dramatic mind. I won't repeat. Not worth the trouble. The rooms devoid of everything, and no views. The fourth did not do so until 6 pm from 9 am we left. In the end I can have more things, but I advise you not to go and look for another. A penalty. Jaime.
Incredible dining experience and the most reasonably priced Michelin starred dinner I have ever had. Not to miss: meat fruit appetizer and the riast pineapple dessert. These dishes are truly unique and cannot be described. The ice creamliquid nitrogen cart is a real trip too! (You have to order ice cream to fully understand). The premise of the restaurant is that every recipe is based on a historical one (often hundreds of years old) so they flavors are both simple and not quite what we're used to nowadays. I got in on a reservationmy friends already had but I hear that it is difficult to get a table here!
Definitely overrated. Instead of the bestsellers of meat fruit or tipsy cake, I went for the lunch sets. The food was nice but ordinary, it wasn't like anything innovative that surprise my taste bud as one may have expected. Service was okay, though staffs seem to always trying to push you into buying more.
Amazing! Very welcoming staff and very relaxed atmosphere in the restaurant, but best of all the food was divine.
Great experience. Good portions. Friendly and attentive service. Pricey but as expected. Overall a nice dining experience in a semi-relaxed environment. £270 for 2 people, 3 course, 1 bottle of wine and including service charge. Expensive, but on par for the quality of service and food. Worth it.
I have rated 150+ restaurants on Google and this is by far the BEST! I have been to Dinner twice and on both occasions been extremely pleased with the whole experience — 5 stars are not enough to indicate how perfect it was! Not surprised it's Top 10 restaurants in the world — food prepared and presented to perfection, genuinely friendly and helpful service, welcoming and relaxed (not quiet and intimidating like some fine dining restaurants could be), and for the quality of the whole experience I'm surprised they are not actually that expensive. It is expensive but a lot of other places in London charge you the same price for a much lower standard! Highly recommend Meat Fruit, slow cooked duck and Tipsy cake (you have to order the cake 40 mins in advance). If there's more room for dessert, ask for their ice-cream — they will literally push an ice-cream trolley to your table and create a vanilla ice-cream with liquid nitrogen in front of you. You then choose what topping you like (e. G. Popping candy, nuts, hundreds and thousands). You could also ask for a table near the open kitchen (open but behind glass) so you can see the chefs in action! If you have the budget for one fine dining meal in London then this is the place you need to be.
Pierced fucking day I play ai a puja rat in his food wed, … da.
Great location, staff were very helpful and arranged to have afternoon tea in room whilst staying.
I've been to Dinner twice, the first time I was impressed with the Chicken liver pâté mandarin, the fluffy cake with Pineapple and the Nitrogen Ice cream, but it didn't feel like a world's top 10 restaurant by any mean, the second time was much worse, we waited half and hour to be sitted, Boring ambience, bad service and average food, I wound't come back to this place, there are much better options in London where to spend a special night.
Bar-Boulud was absolute class. Love every moment of it and the food was great.
Not a big fan of the Victorian decorations in the room but the spa is one of the best ones I have ever been to. Single sex facility so you don't have to worry about walk into a different gender, the therapists they have got were also top notch, worth every penny. Already a regular here and it's very unlikely to change.
Heston Blumenthal's restaurant is among the best in London with a cigar terrace that's great fun for cocktails.
Verry friendly and nice hotel.
I booked the Mandarin Oriental for my mum's 70th — my mum is very very fussy. The Receptionist was very patient as I had to change the booking around several times to accommodate our family. From the very start i. E the doorman who helped us with parking, right through to the person who sat us down, the two people who served our tea — Wendy and Ludovic — enough couldn't be done for us. They did not overly fuss, however they made us all feel very relaxed. We are going to be book again. The sandwiches, pastries and tea, the room, the ambience and the view were all lovely — but the customer service is what sold it to us. Once again, thank you to Wendy and Ludovic.
Perfect hotel and restaurant! I enjoyed the time at the hotel, the service is great my room was very nice with a great bathroom. I´ll come again soon. Thank you very much.
Amazing experience, unbeatable.
I went to "Dinner with Heston" for a friends birthday. Our host had hired out the private dining room which was incredibly elegant, although I felt that the table was so big it was hard to speak to one another. The staff were fantastic and couldn't have looked after us better. We had the set menu and the food was beyond delicious — lobster with cucumber soup, spiced pigeon and probably the best chocolate desert I've ever tested. The food was very rich and we never made it to the 4th course. I'd love to go back to dine in the actual restaurant and try the infamous meat fruit.
CAREFUL OF THE 5% Discretionary Accommodations Charge (they will neglect to tell you about it on check-in but will remove from your bill if you ask) We checked in with 3 other couples at 1am after traveling all day to find that they had played the old hotel trick on us. They upgraded us to an even better room because they were full. Mind you, we had booked our rooms 3 months ago. They put us in the TOWER which is a beautiful stage set done by someone who never saw the room and who didn't think people had clothing. We are here for a week. Between 1am and 2am I spent my time working with one of the porters removing things from the room so we could get around without tripping over things. There is no place to leave an empty suitcase. They had to bring a hanging rack and put it in the bathroom so we could hang up our clothing. Breakfast in the room was fine but only 1 chair and the 2nd person had to sit on the sofa about a mile below the table. Of course, this will not be a problem tomorrow as they sent up a 2nd chair. Last week we had been at the Royal Gardens and loved the rooms. We will be back there next time. Not here. By the way, part of the upgrade is a "city view" of the rooftops of London as opposed to the view we'd requested of Hyde Park. Spoke with the Manager on Duty (GM was away today as it's Saturday) and he was quite pleasant and fully aware of these problems. So why don't they fix them.
