Absolutely fabulous hotel. Never before I came across such a charming hotel.

Great hotel that offers in room breakfast served at your time of choosing. Wonderful 18th century atmosphere!

A wonderful stay with incredible staff. I loved the quirkiness of the rooms, the great amenities and the quiet of my room in Central London. The breakfasts — I tried 3 of them — are not to be missed.

Well in a very historic hotel. Very costly for what it is! Freezing room, size of a box, no heating working! Rooms all slanting so feel sea sick being in here, bed not even a double! No turn down service which you expect for what you pay! I really am experiencing the deprivation of Harry Potter and can see what possibly inspired the author to consider Harry having a broom cupboard for a room! Stuck with booking. Come for two nights in this awful place! Suppose to be a nice time away!. We had to change room three times in one night as the heating was not working, toilet water sprayed out into the bath in the second room. The staff tried to help as much as they could. Room size, bed size not in hotel description. Sadly would not visit this hotel again!

A great place to stay while you’re in London. Close to all good restaurants, stage plays, museums, etc. The staff are super! They even have a resident cat, Sir Godfrey! This is our return visit here and we!

The most amazing hotel. Staff were great. Our room with four poster bed was delightful. A real experience not to be missed. Wonderful place to stay. We have also stayed at the sister hotel The Rookery which also is an amazing hotel.

Charming period hotel in the heart of Soho. It's in a quirky historic building, so expect some surprises like funky room layouts or baths with no showers, but they're well worth it for the decor and cosy atmosphere.

We stayed in the Thomas Archer room and the showerhead is amazing (lots of pressure and hot water). Beds are very comfortable. Great service by the hotel staff and Sir Godfrey. Very clean rooms. The location is perfect. In Soho and close to the coolest Chinatown. We will be back again.

A trip into medieval London with all features of 21st century. Great receptionists and tasty coffee. Neighbourhood vibrant.

Love this hotel! It was my first time in London, and now I can't imagine staying anywhere else. The staff are friendly, the rooms are beautiful and comfortable, and and you can't beat the location!

Superb hotel, beautiful room, very traditional with genuine period features. Excellent location. Nice, friendly, helpful staff. Everything in the room worked perfectly, and this is one of the few hotels I've been to where the air conditioning actually does what you tell it to do!

Stayed here as a birthday treat for my partner in the Madam Kennedy's room… with a fabulous four poster bed… great location and friendly and attentive staff… the bacon ciabatta rolls for breakfast were devine… hope to stay again one day…

Great staff, interesting rooms. Little bit of a rowdy street outside, but not much beyond midnight. Amazing location for shows near Covent Garden, with great eateries within a 2 minute walk. Good facilities. Overall: excellent.

I love the location and decor but things were a bit worn and the lack of a shower didn't work for us.

Lovely hotel in a gorgeous historic townhouse in the middle of Soho. My wife and I were made to feel so at home here, really enjoyed our stay. Great location in the heart of Soho. Wonderful themed rooms with beautiful furniture and oil paintings. If your tall mind the low beams and watch your step, the floors are wonderfully crooked as you would expect in a building of this age. Charming place.

This hotel occupies 300 year old town house and has a lot of character. However, it has no lift, so people with difficulties to climb stairs may not find it suitable for them. Great location for shopping, dining and entertainment.

As always wonderful staff, room and experience. Be sure to have the hot cocoa It's something else. This time we got Madam Kennedy's room with the 4 poster bed… really nice. The history of the hotel and William Hazlitt are worth reading in the provided literature along with that of your own room. There are books everywhere and wonderful nooks to read in. Oh and be sure to look for Godfrey the ginger resident cat, he's most accommodating.

Great up until the last day. Woken by a 9a call from the front desk about tea we didn't order then haggling at checkout over the "honour bar" and mini bar, neither of which we used.

Couldn't have asked for a better get away for our honeymoon. Incredibly friendly staff and such a nice feeling to step out of the bustling centre of Soho and slip into this hidden gem. Bacon sandwiches were very very special — as was the brown sauce. There's even a ginger cat pottering around if you are lucky enough to see it. We were upgraded to "Madame Dafloz" when we arrived — which was a lovely surprise. Then we read about who she was… and she was clearly of a higher class than many… Thanks to all the staff for a wonderful weekend.

Good pity for breakfast only served in the room.

Great location in the heart of the theatre district, Chinatown, casinos, attractions, and shopping! The staff is warm and friendly. The resident cat is adorable and lazy. The room we stayed in made us feel like we were in an English period novel but with modern amenities. I would definitely recommend this hotel to those looking for a charming English experience in the heart of busy London!

Went here for a silly weekend adventure in a boutique hotel after scouring London for decent options. The room was nice — ancient four-poster, floors that were so old that they sagged in the middle (charming rather than bad), and the bath was an old-fashioned roll-top kind. For some reason though I liked the fact that we were on the third floor up with giant windows and cool shutters more than the room itself, which was a shame given how expensive it was. And the local places around it are ace.

Great boutique and classic London hotel in a fantastic location! Staff was wonderful; rooms were very clean, spacious by London standards and had beautiful bed/good linens! Solid Wi-Fi connection, very secure, homey. Loved the huge brass (copper? ) rain showerhead. Will definitely stay there again.

The room was charming and spacious by London standards. I love this quarter, Soho.
