We have enjoyed a great week in London and at the Corus hotel, breakfasts were great even though very busy some mornings, thanks Najat for the great coffee and professional service.
Excellent location, comfortable clean rooms, beautiful friendly housekeeping staff. Will definitely recommend and return when next in London.

We had afternoon tea at this hotel. Very nicely presented and staff very friendly and welcoming especially Najat who attended to us. Excellent scones and nice selection of cakes and sandwiches. Would definitely recommend it as location very good, near Lancaster Gate station and Hyde park.

Lovely hotel, great location! We stayed here over my daughters 18th Birthday last weekend, upon arrival the staff had decorated the room & a handwritten card was left from the hotel manager along with a little box of chocolates. She was delighted, a really nice surprise.

Small rooms, no wardrobe, no fridge, odour in room. Whilst staff members Roy and Laura were lovely and appeared helpful we were still left with a £400 theft from our safe which had malfunctioned. A bit of positive PR would have helped but nothing was offered.

Disappointed in facilities in room. Our safe malfunctioned and money went missing. Staff were quick to investigate but we didn’t feel we were necessarily believed. No PR to help make our situation better. Not even an offer of a free meal or upgrade. Location great. Staff friendly.

My friend and I came here for afternoon tea, the food was delicious and the staff highly efficient, I would highly recommend it.

Rooms very small & outdated so in desperate need of refurb. Threadbare carpet, chipped bath enamel & desk, poor lighting & rotten windows. View of back of restaurant/alleyway. Reception/breakfast area very nice. Breakfast good. Staff good. Location excellent. Would not stay again due to rooms letting the rest of the hotel down.

Lovely two night stay with my friend. The twin rooms were a little bit small but for the money were fine. Good location over the road from the park. Didn't have breakfast as we had breakfast in Italian Cafe literally just over the road in the park which was pretty. Hotel check in and checkout very easy and quick, all staff very helpful and friendly. Housekeeping very good and clean. Would recommend.

Located in a busy area in front of Hyde Park. Generally the hotel works fine, specially if you’re in London on business or on a short stay. In my case, I’ve been there on a 2-day conference with my company and everything went well, starting on the staff on reception, maintenance, bar and restaurant. Breakfast was great, lunch time wasn’t that good but acceptable. Room service works fine even at night time. The only problem was the room! I was on a Very small room with capital V! The bathroom was also tiny and for a 6 foot 4 person like me the shower was unbelievably small. The wall is even inclined which makes a bit difficult to complete the task. Despite that, the room looked as new and was comfortable enough though!

Strategically located hotel, attached to Hyde Park. Outwardly good-looking, efficient service and kind staff. Our room was a "business double room". Clean and well furnished, but so small that you could hardly pass between the bed and the wall. The bathroom was functional, but designed in such a way that taking a shower flooded everything. Air conditioning set to polar temperature (16 degrees) and sealed windows. Although we left a note at the exit asking to leave it off, we found it on.

A reasonable hotel in a good location but the rooms need updating. The size of the room itself was small but typical of historical buildings but the water pressure and heat for the shower made it almost unusable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room only so can't comment on breakfast but evening meal at restaurant was good and well priced although £6 for a pint of Diet Coke is just crazy even if it is London. So many places to eat around that area though I would recommend getting out and about if the weather is good and you are able. Hyde Park is a real treat to go for a walk, run or cycle.

Enjoyed my stay, bedroom a bit on the small side, but it is London! Reception and breakfast all good. Good location.

THE ATTITUDES AND BEHAVIOUR OF YOUR STAFF ARE UNACCEPTABLE — It would be advisable for you to listen intently to the customer and to show genuine interest in solving a matter. I won't be staying here again as well none of my colleagues and clients will be encouraged to do so. Beautiful hotel, however for a central hotel high standards are expected and poor customer service is completely unacceptable. I would suggest the Royal Lancaster hotel just down the corner as an alternative.

Beautiful hotel, very comfortable room, great breakfast and all the people who work there were absolutely delightful, from the lady at the reception to the maitre and waitress at breakfast time. Loved it and definitely going back. I like to have a place that I can go back to in the cities I visit often and Corus Hotel has just become the one for London.

Cramped rooms, toilet extractor fan not working, noise from traffic in spite of double glazing (poorly fitting). Dirty window. One room rejected because it had no work table, only a small round coffee table. Another room rejected because extractor fan not working. Eventually stayed in the 3rd room, on 9th floor, but shower was pathetic — little more than a trickle. Noisy air conditioning, not properly controllable. Attentive staff at check-in and checkout.

Perfect location very polite staff. The rooms are a bit small but then so are most rooms in London hotels. Very clean rooms. Slow elevations and slow showers but all else is great. Stayed here 3 summers ago and going back again. It is about 2mins walk from Lancaster gate tube station, 10 to 15mins walk to Paddington station. Hyde park is right in front of it so you can go walking and enjoy the park.

Nice comfortable hotel but a bit tired and in need of some updating. Only disturbance was from folk who don't know how to close a door quietly. Great location for the West End, Central Line station right next door.

I went there with the afternoon tea voucher from Groupon. I was afraid of not getting what I expected from a afternoon tea as it was very “cheap”. Don’t know if the desserts were bought or hand made, but it wasn’t nothing especial. Tea was good and they refill the hot water without problem, but the cups and spoons weren’t polish-clean properly so they seem dirty. Maybe just old, but not good looking. The sandwiches were the worst part. The ham size was just five times what was supposed to be and full of hard fat. The beagle with cream cheese and salmon had the cheese dry — means they are storing it unwrapped and not doing it as you arrived (not fresh). Can’t remember why but at the end I didn’t eat the focaccia with egg&mayo. The place was cold as they seemed to have some trouble with the radiation — the engineer from the hotel was there checking them cuz the table next to us who arrive earlier maybe had made a complain before. Don’t suggest to go for the afternoon tea — at least if you have the basic one.

The staff were very friendly and very welcoming. The only downside is the elevator that is expected from too many minutes in the day, especially in the morning! You have to know to manage your time.

So not 4 star! Looks nice until you get to your micro-room which is very tatty and suits one person only. Disappointed.

Breakfast is not bad, the coffee is served at the table and the fried eggs are made at the moment. The room (double standard in my case) and the rest of the services were only correct.

My partner and I have had the pleasure of staying at the Corus Hotel for our last two nights before we depart back to Australia. After a 12 hour coach travel we arrived with a few complications with our room on two occassions and another occasion with food that was mistakenly provided resulting in me falling quite ill and bed ridden. On both occassions we were greeted with respect and integrity by all Corus Hotel Staff and from their resturant Staff and head of Managment …of Olios Resturant.
We were offered a complimentary upgrade suite along with a complimentary wine and dinner.
The next day we were greeted at lunch by warm wishes and genuine care from staff and managment of the hotel along with a personal meeting with managment advising us to inform them if we requested anything at all.
Followed by a dinner with room service and simple requests were acknowledged and met our expectations. Mistakes are made easily and no hotel is perfect however I can confidently say that the outcome and quailty service was outstanding along with the generosity and warmth by all who went out of their way to accommodate our needs to ensure we were happy but above all ensure we felt comfortable. In my 5 weeks of traveling all over Europe and staying in some of the most up market hotels I can honestly say that the Corus Hotel has been the closet connection to home.

Very clean, comfortable rooms. For the price really great and very central, right on Hyde Park. The bathroom is a little small but adequate and the beds very comfortable. Really recommended!

Nice hotel in great location rooms were sufficiently large, bathroom a little small but adequate, everything clean. Breakfast class, wide choice of cold and hot dishes. Not far from Lancaster Gate subway station. Will book this hotel again next time.

Strengths: Location, two steps from Lancaster Gate, breakfast and cleanliness flaws: microscopic room, cold, really hard to live in two. Staff not very efficient and with the payment in euros, proposed by them, they are smart with the currency I would not go back, nearby there are other structures in my opinion more valid.

Had a great city break this week and this hotel was fabulous. We stayed in the Viceroy room and from the tastefully decorated room and very comfortable bed to the complimentary luxurious bath robes, slippers, soap and shampoos etc, coffee machine, fridge, selection of teas, bottled water, biscuits, chocolates, iron, hairdryer and safe in case you need it and the bowl of fruit. Check out was 12 pm which was great as we didn't have to rush to get out. Hotel itself is beautiful with a grand marble and mirrored foyer and piano. Would definitely come back again especially as we received an e-mail on arrival back home offering a 15% discount for next time. Fabulous customer service.

Good location. Very friendly staff. Very quiet area. Near Lancaster Gate subway station. Just room in size but with all the amenities. Great breakfast. Pianist to entertain your rest in the hall of the hotel.
Carlos, head of reception has given us very complete information in Spanish to go to the main tourist sites.
I would definitely repeat whenever I come back.

The room service is very slow. I requested for a shower cap and had to call room service one time and reception twice. Finally, I couldn't wait longer and went outside. The room (red one) is very small and freezing cold. The heating system does need to be improved! I asked for a portable heater. A staff said he will check about it and offered to bring me more blanket. I waited and got nothing. I complained again and was offered for more blanket and nothing again. A staff said he tried to adjust my room's temperature, but it was still cold. Even the heater was very cold itself! Lastly, after a long cold waiting, I asked to change the room. Thanks to one of the reception staffs. He offered me a new room (black) which was much better. However, I have to agree that the location of this hotel is very good. I can easily walk to places and the tube is very near. (Repost for adding more photos)

The rooms are very small and very noisy.

The lobby is a bit odd but the rooms are nice and clean. The location is great for exploring the city, very central, on Hyde park, and just 2 minutes from tube station. Good value given location.

Went for a cheese lovers afternoon tea. Staff barely understood what were saying and vice versa. We were served a normal afternoon tea, most of the fillings I couldn't eat. The scones were very nice and freshly cooked and we were offered top ups of tea. Very disappointed that we didn't get what we'd booked and paid for though. And when I used the ladies toilets, 3 of the 5 cubicles were out of use.

Very well placed, close to transportation and Hyde Park, we were at 8th, the room is not very large but OK, noted, no shower, just a bathtub with a curtain… Soundproofing perfectible in the noise of the street, and also that of the ventilation of the room… Nice staff, we can leave our luggage at the reception for the day after leaving the room… Very convenient.

The best thing about this hotel is the location. It is pretty much central to everything a visitor would want to see. A tube station is a block away, Hyde Park is beautiful and is just a few steps away. That's the best the hotel has to offer. The room was decent and the bed was comfortable, but it was terribly small for two people. The room service was, seemingly, non-existent as the only thing they seemed to do was swap out soap and towels. Trash that was left for them to take was left. The hallways smelled of musty carpet. The lobby was very nice and I was very hopeful when I saw it, but the stay was just ok.

Ask absolutely the renovated rooms if not on the street it's just horrible without forgetting the piping noises. We moved from 5th to 8th or the room was great!

Great location right Ubahnlinie Central. For breakfast people have to be on 20-30 minutes… We stayed at Hyde Park breakfast;-)

Booked my break to London through super-breaks. Very impressed by Hotel Corus cannot find one bad thing to say about it. Bed was comfy, room clean and hotel aesthetically pleasing. Breakfast was delicious and plenty of choice. Perfect location for Winter Wonderland and would definitely recommend.

Great location, otherwise a functional hotel, rooms with just space and old look, like almost all the hotels in central London, but at Global is fine.

Fabulous afternoon tea. Staff friendly and very polite. Requested no alcohol in cakes and non meat sandwiches. The chef prepared a special dessert to replace the one that had alcohol… was delicious. Very thoughtful of the chef. Staff member explained our afternoon tea and food contents. Very comfortable and wasn't at all rushed. Would highly recommend.

Ideally placed, however the rate is high, we were under the attic, Welcome to review, not speaking perfectly English the person at the reception made fun of us by speaking fast and with accent (a Korean no doubt). Otherwise the rest of the staff was perfect, very good breakfast and close to everything and Metro, Hyde Park etc. Quiet area. I recommend.

Standard 3-star-level rooms or less. The one we were assigned with bad smell and air was coming through the window (9th floor). The reception and the breakfast area well. Friendly staff.

I will not recommend for people to come here for afternoon tea… Firstly, the sandwiches, scones and cakes came before we even ordered our tea. Once we got our tea, we noticed one of them was not even what we ordered — and also all our teas tasted awfully disgusting and bitter. We looked into the teapot and found it full of tea leaves and it’s only a small teapot! The reason why it was so bitter was because there were too much tea leaves. Having explained to one of the staffs, she acted ignorantly and said — “yeah. They put too much leaves. So what do you want to change it to. ” Without any apology or explanation whatsoever! It’s as if it’s OUR wrong. Most important part of an “afternoon tea” is the TEA. Not being able to serve tea properly already is a major fail in “afternoon tea”. I would definitely not come here again.

From the reception, to the rooms and also to requesting luggage storage… everything was perfect! Congratulations!

The location and the service are excellent. On the other hand the rooms are extremely small, the least of the things would be to expose them on the reference sites so as not to feel betrayed. It's a pity because the location is really a marvel.

Great location, good (and kind of pricey) breakfast. I got a single room right by the elevator hall which turned out to be very noisy all night long, besides the air-conditioning not working (yes, it can get hot in London! ) so I asked the front desk for a different room and they managed to get me a newly renovated one with a double bed and good AC for the other nights.

We stayed here for two nights for our sons 13th birthday. Usually we wouldn't afford to stay in a hotel like this but we saved hard. The lobby, lounge and restaurant has a wonderful ambience, especially in the evening when the pianist plays. We'd read reviews about tiny rooms but our room was quite spacious and very clean. Special mention to the Romanian waitress (sorry I didn't get your name). She was so lovely, especially to our son who finds social situations very difficult. She bought him a complimentary desert with a candle in it — made his day!

The location is amazing but don't get fooled by pictures they can be deceiving if you have high hopes for the room. The room service is mediocre, they can't supply bottle of water when needed late at night and they told us to wait till the morning for any service needed. Would only recommend if you are in desperate need of a roof.

We had a very small room. Next to the elevator. Noise all night. Someone said Q spoke Spanish? They made them all… just an Italian… the good location… nom coment… not highly recommended.

I have been for a course there and I saw it nice, clean and very organized. Very close to Notting Hill and close to Lancaster Metro station.

Everything is nice and clean. Good service, compact but nice rooms. Only complaint is that you can hear the street outside very clearly making it hard to sleep at times.

Enjoyed the best ever Traditional Cream Tea here on Wednesday 27/9/17 and First class service the Teas, Pastries and the Savories were nothing short of stunning on the eyes and the taste buds will definitely visit again.

How this place claims to be 4* I have got no idea. Tiny rooms and bathroom, tired interiors, and unhelpful staff. Tried to order room service at 10:40pm to be told the kitchen had shut. The menu states room service available till 10:45pm. The night manager said he could do nothing to help other than order a take away pizza for me. Luckily the chef came to reception whilst trying to sort this out and cooked me a burger and fries, thank you to the chef. Premier inn or Travel lodge are much better!

I recommend the hotel for the cleanliness and friendliness of the staff.

Nice foyer. Stayed in room 414. The twin beds were clearly old and showing many signs of wear. In the bathroom there was a hatch open in the ceiling where I assume maintenance had recently been done but they hadn't closed it. At breakfast the milk split when I poured it into my coffee so it appeared to be off. Would not recommend.

I stayed in early May, 2017. Our hotel room was very clean. The size of the room is fair at best. The room appeared to be a little rundown, but definitely more than acceptable. The view wasn't anything special, it was simply rooftops of other buildings near by. The room we were given was unfortunately placed in between multiple elevators and the stairwell. At night, and early mornings it was noisy as you could hear guests entering and exiting the elevators, along with the beep that notifies you that the elevator has arrived at its destination. The location of the room was definitely the biggest frustration, and the main reason why I wasn't able to give this hotel a four star rating. To be fair, we had to check-in late due to a flight delay earlier that day. The lobby of the hotel is fantastic. The decor is amazing, and the pianist playing during the evenings is a nice touch. The staff were extremely helpful, and made my family and I feel very welcome throughout our stay. The location is fantastic. It is very close to Hyde Park. The Swan is a pub a few minutes away from the hotel — I'd definitely recommend dining there. The hotel is very close to Lancaster Gate station — unfortunately it will be closed until July 2017. You're going to have to take the underground to either Queensway or Marble Arch to get to the hotel. Overall, the hotel room was very clean, but somewhat rundown.

This was our second visit this year. Our room on the first visit in March was very small even though we had booked an executive room. The stay was only for one night so we didn't mind too much but mentioned this on checkout. The very helpful reception staff ensured us we would have a better room this time. Check in was good again and although on the same floor as previous the room was much larger with a lovely huge comfortable bed. We overlooked Kensington Gardens which was great but as on the top floor could only see out when next to the windows. Room facilities were very good with quality coffee maker, water and complimentary chocolates in fridge, very nice touch for a London hotel. Bathroom was small but again good range of complimentary toiletries. The only let down was the shower, poor water pressure so not much more than a trickle. All staff brilliant, so friendly from reception to housekeeping to the restaurant, made us feel really welcome. Breakfast fantastic, plentiful good choice for all tastes and in a lovely light dining room too with views to Hyde park and the gardens from many tables. Excellent position, we were attending concerts at the Albert Hall so very easy to walk through the park. Will be even better once Lancaster Gate tube station reopens. Really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel for a London stay.

Good location, around the corner from the central line. However, the room was only moderately comfortable, with poor temperature control that only cooled and was hard to manage. The beds were good, but not great in terms of comfort. Staff was competent, but didn't seem to go out of their way to offer any help.

Amazing location. Very small rooms and wash rooms. Service is ok. But the location makes up for the short comings. And yeah… Good breakfast.

Stayed for 5 nights and it was decent. I was greeted by rude staff but the hotel manager apologised on their behalf. They tried to bill me for a drink from the "mini bar" even though my room didn't even have a mini bar. The room is very small but is fine for tourists who just need somewhere convenient to sleep. We had a sunken room so I could hear people walking up and down the stairs. The beds were not comfortable and neither were the pillows. The shower is within the bathtub so put the anti-slip mat down to avoid slipping over. It is close to the tube and Paddington station. I probably won't stay here again.

Great location opposite Hyde Park & near Lancaster Gate tube station. Nice modern room but small & the wet room bathroom was a little inconvenient with the limited space.

The hotel has been amazing so far. Rooms are wonderful and clean. The Wi-Fi has been working extremly well for me and the dinner food and free buffet breakfasts in the hotel restraunt has been amazing. The park across the street is beautiful. Also it's close to a tube station so it provides easy access to the rest of the city.

The location in Bayswater is great — within walking distance of Picadilly Circus, and has tons of public transport.

Location near to the park and underground. Too small shrunken room with extra too small toilet. "Please mind your head in the shower room". Expensive rate compared to other hotels. Any special small request will be charged. Rooms clean with uncomfortable bed. The reception guy wasn't nice.

I stayed here for 4 nights with my friends, this is the best hotel service we experienced this year, employees were really good. Breakfast was good, room was great, we stayed in business. Hotels near Kensington (Kensington) and Hyde Park (Hyde Park), and just 5 minutes walk to the nearest metro station, and then by subway you 5 minutes to Oxford Street. I will definitely come back.

Really helpful doorman who informed me of the cheapest parking, lovely hotel from the outside and impressive reception but it stopped there really. Our room was tiny and extremely basic. Comfy bed but the window didn't close properly so it was freezing and the wooden shutters didn't meet together so left light shining through. The bathroom was very clean but the shower head didn't move from a position that not even a child could fit under so my boyfriend had to adjust that high enough to stand under then the shower head was constantly in a fixed position and did not heat up enough. Had really good links to central London and staff were friendly. The lifts were the most annoying part. Even when no one was on that level it stopped at every floor! Nice hotel if you wont be in your room much!

We have just stayed three nights at the corus Hyde park. The lobby area is beautiful, and the placement is very nice. But that's it. The room was old and worn out. We got a room just out of the elevator, and found out we can hear everything that happens with the elevators, people talking and banging the doors. The beds was a pull out, with madrasses. We will not use this hotel again.

Rude staff, they toke our money and didn't give us a room, not happy.

The hotel is 10-15 minutes walk from Paddington station and is within easy walking distance of a variety of eateries. It is situated on a reasonably busy road and even from my 5th floor room the traffic noise was a little loud. However, it was not so excessive as to impact on a good night's sleep. The room itself was perhaps a little smaller than the double rooms of some hotels, however there was sufficient space for me and I feel there would have been if there was another person in the room. The facilities were perfectly adequate though and included everything I could reasonably have expected. The staff were friendly, professional and efficient and responded quickly to all requests. Unfortunately breakfast was not served until 7 am and I had to leave at 6:45. A breakfast box was provided on request, the contents of which were sufficient if uninspiring. Sitting for an evening drink in the hotel bar, customers were treated with continuous live piano music and staff were eager to cater to the requirements of everyone. My overall experience was excellent and whilst recommendations are not my thing, I would certainly suggest this hotel to anyone looking to stay in the Paddington area.

Lovely Hotel. Every time I have been it has been on business. All of the staff I have come in to contact with have been very helpful and friendly and the club sandwiches are really nice. Highly recommended!

Very lovely staff, rooms are quite small and claustrophobic at times. Balcony door did not work. Otherwise very clean and cosy.

Had a great stay on the weekend. Double Executive room was huge! Clean, spacious, air-conditioned room with Wi-Fi throughout the hotel. The staff were brilliant… very attentive!

Great location. Very old rooms (the phones in the rooms had dial up modems attached — very 1995) but they do have Wi-Fi. Our room floors were not very clean. Breakfast, while offering a great selection, was a 3/5 stars (ok food, poor service). Again though, if you can overcome the above — it's a prime location right next to Hyde Park, tube entry (5 mins walk) and the train station (8 min walk)

Two nights for 2: Four star location, three star room, two star breakfast. Clean, with most amenities. Breakfast was not very good. Most annoying part was the lifts. All three lifts stop on all floors that a button has been pressed, going up or down.

My friend and I had an afternoon tea here. We had a voucher so the whole thing was very good value. The sandwich tasted fresh, the desserts not as much but they were still tasty. The waitress got our tea order wrong at first, but quickly fixed the mistake. Overall, a nice afternoon out.

Not a good hotel. Had to stay here as my usual hotel was fully booked. The shower was like being dribbled on, the shutters on the window let all the light in at 4am and the breakfast was terrible. The staff are the only thing giving it one extra star.

Very small room and bathroom even smaller no closet.

I recommend do not to live here. There are some reasons. (1) equipments are not good. Lifts were broken twice, no gas once and the card for rooms were out of work many times. (2) the staffs do not have good manner. When I asked them to change my room card because it was broken, they showed the face that please go away and it was happened normally. (3) the area of the hotel is not safe. Some money had been stolen when living there. There are many good hotels near here. I do not recommend to live in this hotel.

The rooms are the smallest and poorest i've ever had in and country. The hotell is good If You don't get one of the small rooms.

This is a really lovely the hotel team members are so nice and the rooms clean and big. We were three person in one room and one of us did like to sleep longer and then we cut just slide the sliding door to the side and turn on the light. The toilet was really great and the bath top was clean and work well.

Awful experience: the third world is not in line with what was promised. The bed was a Queen size bed and the bathroom is better than I do.

All staffs in the hotel are indians, you feel like you are in NewDelhi. And they are unfriendly and treat customers very bad. Rooms are very small. Free advice: do not stay in this indian hotel if you want to feel you are in England.

Room pretty much average for the price paid. However, during the night the fire alarm sounded twice in the early hours of the morning, maybe half an hour apart which produced maximum sleep disturbance! A letter was pushed under the door apologising for this happening for 3 nights in a row, so it was clearly a known fault which they had not fixed. Then to further make the stay more intolerable, I awoke to discover none of the lights/lamps worked and no sockets worked. The bathroom was in complete darkness, I could not make a drink, check the news, iron my clothes or charge my phone. The "Duty Manager" must assume guests are incapable of pushing a light switch as he then tested several in the room despite me advising there was no power to any lights or sockets within the room. Quite probably the worst hotel stay I've ever experienced on both leisure and business. There's plenty more hotels in the Hyde Park/Lancaster Gate area for a similar price or less which seem to look after guests in a more effective manner.
