A fantastic experience, a little costly but for a special occasion worth it. Book the afternoon tea and champagne package. A really nice champagne a couple of glasses per person and plenty of Tea. Nice selection of sandwiches and cakes and if you can’t eat them all will box them up for you to take away, a really nice touch.

Enjoyed celebrating my nephews 21st birthday with afternoon tea. Sandwiches, cakes and scones were all delicious. All the staff were very polite and attentive, nothing was too much trouble. A special thank you to Chris, our waiter and Andrew for the tour.

We went here for afternoon tea after I was bought a voucher as a gift. This is a beautiful hotel, well decorated and with very friendly and attentive staff. There was a very good selection of teas to choose from. The tea, sandwiches and cakes were all lovely and you can order as much as you like. We had a lovely time and would highly recommend coming here. The toilet were nice and very clean.

Absolutely amazing afternoon tea and service! Unfortunately I forgot the name of the gentleman who served us (he was from Budapest) but I wanted to thank him for making my mum's visit to London even more special. Service was exceptional and even the gluten free tea looked just as fabulous as the "normal" one. I'm so glad I finally made it after waiting for so long to get a space!

A level of service and friendliness that I have not seen matched by any hotel in the world. I’ve been to many 5 star, luxury hotels: The Waldorf Astoria, The Plaza, Intercontinental Hong Kong, and about 10 different Four Seasons in Europe — all are luxurious and amazing, but Claridges is a cut above because of its people! The employees are the best. They genuinely care about exceptional service. Too many “little things” to mention. It’s my new home away from home in London!

You would think that a place like Claridge’s where it is very difficult to get a booking for afternoon tea would offer something out of the ordinary. Unfortunately for me and my family this was not the case. We arrived with 2 children (aged 4 and 1). Both had been asleep in the car so were a bit teary and crying. The manager in the afternoon tea area approached us and said that if the children did not stop crying we would have to leave! We eventually got them to stop after much coaxing and bribery but were offered very little help with this. When our tea arrived it was ok, nothing particularly special and the service was slow. I had to repeatedly ask for a refill of my tea. I have now amended my rating to reflect the management’s response to my rating and separate concern in an email. The manager has acknowledged their shortcomings, recompensed us and invited us back to retry the Claridge’s Afternoon Tea experience. The response was very quick and they were apologetic. Whilst I cannot give them a 5 star rating I have increased my score because they have appreciated our disappointment and addressed it appropriately. You can’t ask for more than that from any company.

Best hotel in London IMO! Myself and my wife are Londoners born and bred and will always reccommend this truly stunning hotel. Great restaurant, food and bars, impeccable rooms and impressive staff that know how to ensure that your experience is exquisite every time. Great for afternoon tea with family or friends. The place just oozes class and sophistication! Love this hotel!

I mean it's total indulgence. Nobody needs that level of attentiveness or care. It's the over and above that sets this place apart. The staff care about what they do and how you feel. It's been the same for many years. Go here for indulgence, for treats and to be part of something a little different. Don't make it a local as you'll lose the magic. Back in a week *smirk

My mother and I were here for lunch. Loving all things Art Deco, we loved the decor in every way. We found the staff friendly, helpful and accommodating. The 3 course set lunch was a very reasonable price and enjoyable (not wow/amazing but enjoyable) but the drinks are where the costs go. I made the mistake of asking for still water not tap and a small bottle cost £7. The wine was of good quality but pretty damn expensive. Overall a nice experience but once is probably enough.

Every time we visit London, we sleep at the hotel Claridge… and when the tour is just a simple day trip, we always try to stay there for the afternoon tea. A tip, make an effort for the dress side, avoid the look too casual/basketball, T-shirt etc… a little respect for the beautiful place and also for the other guests who are very very elegant. ;-) )

The best afternoon tea in London — and I have done a few. Exquisite service — nothing is too much trouble. The staff are knowledgeable about what they serve and will do their utmost so you have the perfect experience. Their food is consistently outstanding — I am particularly partial to their egg sandwich — they manage to elevate this simple thing to a delicacy. Their tea selection is thoughtfully chosen so there are both classic choices as well as interesting teas you could not taste anywhere else. My favourite anecdote: we were served a beautiful tea jelly with our scones, and having loved it I got curious and asked the waiter: 'which other jams would you have? ', and he answered with a confident tone 'which jam would YOU like?.

Extremely exquisite afternoon tea, from cutlery to meals to the service are very top. Restaurant atmosphere, layout and furnishings are very suitable for chatting with friends. Everything is fabulous, starting with their afternoon tea, to the bar and to the restaurant. The afternoon tea is exactly as how I imagine most people would enjoy it: impeccable service, fine china, silver teapots, and a great selection of teas, tasty pastries and wonderfully prepared sandwiches. Both young and old can enjoy the afternoon tea here. The champagne high tea is worth recommending, but if you’re not in the mood for afternoon tea, pop in to the bar for an expertly prepared drink, or go all-out with a dinner at the restaurant. You won’t be disappointed by either of these choices… Do dress smartly and avoid sneakers and t-shirts (not only to get better service / a table, but also for your fellow guests) as it only adds to the atmosphere.

We have dined in the restaurant, had Afternoon Tea and visited both cocktail bars at this stunning hotel in the heart of central London. One of the most luxurious hotels in London, every visit to this hotel feels like a special occasion. The service, surroundings and quality of food and beverages is exceptional as one might expect. Claridge’s Afternoon Tea is our No. 1 favourite of all the Afternoon Tea experiences we have sampled in London.

I was lucky enough to stay in a couple of suites including the Royal Suite. At £2200 per night it wasn't cheap, though I'm told this was a special price. However, I can say it was absolutely worth it. Stunning! Food, service, space, decor, location, ambience. Perfect. Perfect. Perfect. Saw Kanye West casually, know I was in the right place! Restaurants are good too! Only downside — the piano in my room was not kept tuned — I hired the suite to use the piano. So I had to tune it myself. Otherwise great.

I went for Afternoon Tea. I had a lot of expectations due to hearing lots of praise about it being the "best" in London; sadly, it didn't reach those expectations. Decorations were very beautiful, the tea selection was wide and full of options, and the desserts were great! However, the sandwiches are for particular tastes. And lastly, they had great scones. The service was excellent; and, the prices are what would you expect out of a 5-Star hotel.

Too satisfied, the surrounding is a luxury base, but the money is spent on the hotel, did not buy bags, of course, is not very short. It was supposed to be 5 nights, and the family wanted to try another high-class hotel, only 2 nights, and we stayed at peak August. The only price is high, 480 pounds/night, excluding breakfast.

My experience there started out really well. You come into this gorgeous hotel, you are greeted and seated at your table. Everything and everyone looks really fancy. You start reading through the tea options and are initially overwhelmed. Unfortunately, our server wasn't very helpful in helping us choose. She pointed to the recommended options without elaborating, didn't inform us that we could choose different cups of tea from each other and that we could choose a different cup for each course, and on top of this hurried us along when we needed more time to read through the options. She also at first objected to me keeping the menu through our meal when I asked and said that it would be given back to me the next time I need to make a tea choice, but allowed me to do it after I explained that I want to read through it more while I have my tea and follow along. Then the sandwiches and tea came out. The sandwiches and the rest of the food (scones and desserts) were delicious. The Marco Polo jello for the scones was especially delicious. The tea, though, tasted mostly like slightly flavoured hot water and really missed out on showcasing the varied, subtle flavours. The leaves used seemed really good but the tea wasn't steeped long enough. Whenever the waitress came to refill out cups of tea, she would pour the hot water into the pot with leaves and would pour it out into our cups right away without letting it steep at all.

Came for the afternoon tea; fantastic experience, service was very accommodating and unpretentious, and the teas were phenomenal — they were kind enough to let us try a few different ones, and certainly some of the best teas we've ever had — jasmine and antler specifically were lovely. The one lost star is a bit facetious — might be a good idea to better secure the takeout dessert box; as we were walking home and holding it by its ribbon handle, the box came apart and all our desserts ended up on the ground! Such a shame : (

Slightly different, but equally fantastic experience to provide Claridge Hotel in London, decorated in the style of the 30s. Even if the typical English weather will prevent us from admiring the city, certainly we will not be bored inside the refined and extremely elegant setting. Apart from the choice of rooms and suites, each of which has its historical name and other interior decorating, you should go there for one of several restaurants. English as befits the hotel, we drink tea here — the choice is up to 509 different types. For the cheapest room at the end of the month we will pay 1, 210 dollars. It will have 32 square meters, the huge royal bed, elegant marble bathrooms and lavishly equipped barges.

If you are either a family, looking for. (The DREADED) 'kids friendly, ' or you can't afford some of the the FINEST rooms in ANY hotel, pls; GO ELSEWHERE! Claridge's is a class act, not a 'Days Inn. ' It is elegant, and understated — it's not 'nouveau riche' gaudiness, but — if you are such, they'll still accommodate you (while grudgingly, they'll NEVER show it).
