Stayed here on a rail hotel deal hotel very clean superb rooms friendly helpful staff on reception. Hotel position excellent for shopping and sightseeing very close to Euston and regent street. Continental breakfast is basic but there was plenty juices ham egg yogurt cereal Danish pastry toast, we stayed on third floor and you could hear the tube slightly but this was not a problem would definitely return to this hotel.

We stayed in London for the night and found this little hotel looked lovely on the website so I went ahead and booked a double room … then I read some of the reviews and wasnt keenas seen a few bad reviews but in my opinion it was a lovely little hotel very smart inside and the room was very nice aswell I cant complain could hear the train going underneath every now 5mins or so but it. Wasnt as loud as people made out … perfect breakfast in the morning and lovely staff … would definitely stay there again.

No fridge. Squeaky floor boards in every room, sounded like it was full of mice. Poor decoration. Should be listed as a hostel and not worth the amount they charge.

Cheap enough, the room was ok, a bit tatty and tired but an excellent location.

Staff really nice and helpful. Location brilliant, we've been walking everywhere from here. Not that much noise from traffic, only a little bit. Our room was clean, and included nice little stuffs. Breakfast was really good, and with multiple choices to eat. Would for sure stay here again.

Cute hotel, convenient location, quiet street.

The maid at this hotel stole my designer sunglasses out of my room. When I went to the front desk, they put me in touch with the head housekeeper. I asked to speak to the manager, but the manager told the head housekeeper that I could file a police report if I choose. The LEAST that the manager could have done was come and speak with me. Horrible experience and I do NOT recommend this hotel to anyone. In addition to this incident, the rooms and bathrooms are very outdated. Find someplace else to stay.

The good: Location, staff and cleanliness. The rooms get cleaned/freshened up every day. All room-items are restocked, new bedsheets, towels etc. The location is absolutely amazing with easy waking access to Oxford, Soho, Regents Park,, Hyde etc and Oxford Circus tube stop not far. The size of the room is pretty good and the tall ceiling makes it seem airy. The bad: The rooms are severely outdated. The air is stuffy, no AC, the beds are horrible. We had a double bed but in reality it was just 2 singles pushed together. My side of the bed didn't have a nightstand . Because there wasn't room for it. We could feel every spring in the mattress. It's grossly overpriced. I live in a non-English capitol considered more expensive than London and we can get a much better hotel way cheaper than the 180 pounds per night we paid. Absolute ripoff. The bathroom is old consisting of a bathtub with shower and a sink with separate outlets for warm and cold. Toilet was in its own room. There's no visible ventilation in neither the main room (including the bed), the bathroom or the toilet. Also, did I mention how the sound travels? We could literally hear what our neighbour's where talking about and everything going on. There is no minibar, 2 simple kitchen glasses and 2 coffee cups. And a water heater but the water heater has to be connected to an outlet at the floor. It just feels so dated. You pay for location, nothing else. We will not revisit.

Well located hotel, between Regent Park and Oxford Street, quiet street. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The only downside is the soundproofing! The subway passes below the hotel so avoid the rooms on the ground floor or 1st level.
The reception is friendly.
The breakfast is OK, nothing extraordinary but there is a bit of everything (tea, coffee, cereals, buns, toast…)

Our family stayed here for 4 days in March. Excellent value for the money to be located so central to everything in a (generally) fairly expensive area. The Ritz or Savoy it is not, as the rooms are a dated and worn somewhat. However, again, very inexpensive for area, large rooms and all spotlessly clean. Fantastic shower, kitchenette, etc. Breakfast was great, and all the staff were quite helpful. You simply cannot beat the location. Oxford station just down the block. Buy yourself an Oyster card first day, then tube anywhere in the city! Yes, you can hear the train rumble underneath every 20 minutes. Big deal, it's a hyper active city, and if that bothers you, it just means you've traveled far to waste too much time hanging out in a hotel. Instead of out roaming this fantastic city 'till all hours, sampling all the great pubs, sights, etc. Crashing late/get up early do it again. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again, and recommend to all our friends. (non-prissy ones anyway…)

Old Fashioned Hotel. Renovated hall and breakfast room. Rooms a little less. Quiet area and close to the center. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Very good central location. Helpful and vriendly staff. Breakfast was lovely. My only complaint is that the hotel basically sits above one of the tube lines and if you are on the ground floor, you will notice that. It wasn't a big deal for me as I was so jet lagged. It's a nice hotel over all.

We loved our stay there. Location is good, breakfast was satisfactory as well. Is recommend it to people who are interested in shopping as Oxford Street is very close.

Was OK but no more than that. Stayed on a quiet Monday night so it wasn’t exactly busy. I’m a light sleeper and when booking has politely and specifically asked for a quiet room on an upper floor if possible. So, what do they give me, a ground floor room with the noise and vibration from the Underground trains! To be fair, Once they had stopped I didn’t sleep too badly and the room was clean and comfortable. Buffet continental breakfast was good too with plenty of choice.

Good location. Got bad luck with the check in (room wasn’t ready at 2 pm, they needed one more hour). Ofc, I was kindly remembered to do the check out in time (11 am). Old furniture, really old bathroom, clean tho’. I woke up really early because of the tube noise, weird how loud it was. The breakfast: boiled eggs werent fresh, seemed cooked 2 days before. Overall: wont go here 2nd time. But I guess for London is a regular 100 euros hotel!

Hotel located in the centre of Oxford Street, 300 metres from the metro. Room clean and fairly quiet with breakfast satisfying. Staff available and welcoming. Pubs and restaurants nearby. I would go back!

Great location and great price.

The staff were friendly and the room was clean. It was necessary to have a sleep of lead to not hear the subway. The sanitary facilities are dated (splinters in the enamel of the bathtub). In noted room, the floor creaked enormously which was quickly painful.

Our stay was in an apartment which having read the reviews was exactly as expected. This is an old hotel which seems to be going through refurbs in some areas… The entrance and meeting rooms are examples of this. The room was dated but prefect for our needs. The hotel is keapt very clean. The area is safe even at night as BBC staff work in the roads surrounding the hotel 24/7. This hotel is about location until they manage to refurb all the rooms to a much higher standard but should still be considered if the price is right as even these current dated rooms offer a comfortable clean stay. Special mention to the cleaning staff and reception who all work hard. We did not try the breakfast, preferring to eat out.

It was good because it lays very central and at a reasonable price. The room was good there was one queen size bed and a small bed. The service was very good to my sister sprained her foot and the woman at the reception gave her ice and bandage, overall a good hotel for the price.

I called to Astor Court Hotel 04/09/2017, at 18.30 Hours get some information. The Reception staff lady from Italy very Rude and very Very Aggressive. She didn't say her name and said she from Italy, she cant speak even proper English. This hotel used to be good hotel but not any more. Rude staff and not disclose hotel manager or supervisor name. Be aware when you going to stay Astor court Hotel.

Great location to visit London, very close to Regent's Park, breakfast service good, rooms ok, sometimes we can hear the underground very loudly and there is almost no insonorisation, staff very welcoming and nice.

Nice reception and the staff is very friendly. Just found odd that, after midnight or so they close the entrance door and you have to ring abell and pass through checks (name, room number, etc. ) to go back to your room… The room was average size, separate toilet (I prefer full bathrooms), no sockets by the bedside table. It was very hot and the room didn't have Aircon or fans Overall stay was ok, unless I get another deal I would look for a different hotel.

Outdated rooms, shabby furniture, strange location of an electrical socket in our room, 7ft up the wall. Continental breakfast only. Not worth the room charge.

The location is perfect both for walking around and by public transport!
The room was large and cozy — comfy bed —, the bathroom perhaps was a little small and would have been more comfortable in the shower instead of the tub but all in all it was not a problem.

Central location, even on foot you can reach many of the destinations in the city. Metro and bus nearby. In the Centre and in quiet area. It's not very modern and the bathrooms need renovations but this does not affect the success of the holiday. Comfortable beds.

CANCELLED ROOM — CHARGED, ANYWAY I made a booking with the Astor Court for February, but needed to change it to 2 nights. Unfortunately, they didn't have 2 nights available, so I called to cancel, so I could book elsewhere. Like most people, I assumed the cancellation was straightforward, and I didn't take the name of the person I spoke to. When my credit card statement came through in March, I found I'd been charged for the room. I called the hotel, and was asked to put it in an email, which I did (on March 17th). After chasing several times, I have today (MAY 7th — over 7 weeks after my initial complaint! ) been emailed by the Astor to say that as I have no proof of my cancellation they are treating it as a no-show, and not willing to refund my charge. Good customer service is evidently not a priority for the Astor. As a very frequent visitor to London, I will be avoiding this hotel like the plague in future.

I can only say that on my last day staying at the hotel, they sold my room to someone else and didn't bother to let me know. So, When I returned to the room I was locked out. They refused to put me up elsewhere and put me in a box room in the basement which gave me an hour of sleep and a bad back for the next week. Also I had to walk through the employees area to the "bathroom". The staff turned up very early and made a god-awful racket which woke me up far earlier than I'd hoped for. They tried to offer to give me a pitiful recompense for the room (for that night) so that they would still profit greatly from their mistake (which they admitted to at the time). When I complained they ignored me for 5 weeks and I have still not heard back from them! I believe that I am not the only one that they have done this to, and highly recommend that you don't stay here unless you have spare money to go to another hotel at last minute! The rooms are definitely nothing special and from my varied experience staying in hotels round the world this is a very pricey hotel, with unappetising breakfast (the coffee was a very poor flavoured water) and certainly not worth £99 per night. The hotel next door is cheaper, but they do not pretend to be something that they are not. If you expect reasonable behaviour from this hotel. Don't.

Considering its central location, this hotel presents good value for money. With regard to some of the comments made here. Decor — It is clean, tidy and presentable. Yes, it's not ultra modern, but then the cost of the room is not ultra high either. Separate bathroom/toilet split? I think I can live with that — again, both clean, tidy and presentable. Yes — the TV was over the other side of the room to the bed. I visited London to see London, not watch TV in bed. Breakfast — no complaints — very nice thank you. My only heartache was the fact there was no cooked breakfast — but I knew this when I booked ;-). Staff — efficient, friendly and helpful. Thoroughly recommended for travelers/visitors who understand the true meaning of value. If you want a high end, overly expensive thoroughly modern hotel room then look elsewhere :).

Pleasent and good value for the location. Room was large but no aircon. Tv on other side of room to bed made viewing uncomfortable. Outdated decor but reflected in price. All round a nice stay.

Very nice! Good breakfast. Very fresh. I didn't like the toilet however, the toilet and the bathroom is separated. Also, no free Wi-Fi.
