This is not a hotel. It is advertised on various reputable websites. They cancelled our reservation before we arrived then charged us full price. We had to find alternative accommodation. It is a house on a council estate. I was intimidated and have still not received a refund.

Quick and easy transit through air terminal always makes city airport my number one choice for European travel.

London City Airport is very well placed to take advantage of its location to the Financial District (on its doorstep) and the City itself. Promised investment needs to be used as it is getting less pleasant to use with generally outdated facilities for users. I came across a member of staff at the Airport who does deserve special mention. His name badge indicated the name of MOHAN who was on the customer end of the Airport's business. A very nice guy, very willing to assist who broke the usual people stereotype of people who appear indifferent and are automatic programmed. Get the investment going in the Airport before the increasing airline business starts to swamp it's present very effective traveller transit. Rg.

It's not a hotel, it's a hostel. What you get is very tipical neighbourhood, very tipical London house, extremely close to the airport and DLR, perfect for 1-3 nights. Cozy and comfortable beds, helpful and friendly service. Tip: when out of the airport or DLR find the elevators and go down to floor — 1 to Drew road, it will bring you directly to the street of the place, it will spare you 10 min walk.

Arrived at Wythes road after walking through rather run down streets with boarded up properties, and found that there is no hotel. 64 Wythes road (Metro London City Hotel) is in fact a house converted into bedsits. The person who answered the door said that he would arrange for us to be taken to the hotel which was some minutes away by car; I was very angry as the 'hotel' had been booked due to its proximity to the airport. We were bundled into someone's car, driven rather recklessly to be deposited in Pier road. NO hotel, just more bedsits, entrance through a door between two fast food places. You can get a train in the morning, we were told! The room had been refurbished, and the sheets were clean. However the windows were broken, closed at the bottom but with a large gap round the sides and top (I know how to close a window; they were broken). Around 9:30 pm someone in the room above decided to do the hovering. The noise from the heavy traffic on the road outside inhibited sleep, some buses/ trucks made the bed shake/ vibrate. When sat on the loo my knees were against the wall. In short, this is a deception — there is NO hotel, and the name designed to trick you into thinking your are near the airport and getting a proper hotel.
