We enjoyed a really lovely one night stay here this week. Easy to find and in a good close proximity to visit an event at the O2 Arena. The bus stop to the Arena was literally outside the hotel. All staff were very polite and helpful. The facilities were clean and the food was really nice and very plentiful. We would definitely return. 💖

Had afternoon tea here today. Service not great in my opinion. Too many people serving if asked for a drink had to wait for a different waitress as one I asked doesn’t do the drinks! Long waiting time for food. Scones were very doughy and red velvet cake was not nice / not light & fluffy as sponge should be (tasted stale tbh) To finish on a positive the pianist was fabulous Would not go back.

Stayed there over remembrance weekend, 22 of us in total with the troops. Staff were very friendly and their service was exceptional Rooms were spotlessly clean. Food was excellent. Would definatly recommend going again.

Roast dinners look plentiful but are tasteless I don’t think any seasoning is used at all so disappointed potatoes were not crispy. Very disappointing experience for a lovely hotel.

Just back from an action packed Family break in London where we made the Clarendon our base… as ever the rooms were great, the staff fantastic, food was brilliant with great selection same with the drinks which is essential after a long day sight seeing! my 2 lads loved it and seeing the posh pigeons flying round (the green parakeets) made there stay! many thanks and we will see you again soon!

Almost 60 of us for a family meal. Set in a private room. Everyone complimented the food and great friendly staff. Would recommend to go back another time… If they’ll have us.

The restaurant is very good, food was great, looked lovely when served, nice and hot and above all, very good gravy! Service good, and friendly and not too expensive, will definitely return!

Had a great time staying here lovely staff great bar and lounge area pet friendly made to feel welcome great food stunning views lovely hotel. My only down fall was my room had dust 3mill thick when I cleand if fan was actually black not white carpet smelt and stain on sheets on one bed not every one who owns a dog lives in dirty place I did let them know they brought new fan and spray for carpet ive worked in hotel bars kitchens and as Chambermaid in my younger years if I had left rooms like this I would of been sacked on spot. My advise get new cleaners … as stunning place rest of hotel was lovely … and yes I would stay again because people were so lovely that work there and stunning hotel … hopefully had new cleaners soon as or pull them in for a warning as that's only fault not nice to arrive to room like that after 8 hour traveling … the rest hotel are doing great job … chrissi Johnstone Key stayed in room 78.

Everything! All the staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms are beautiful and really big, and I loved the Regency style of the rooms.
I would definitely come back here, absolutely no hesitation.

Had an amazing Calvary lunch there Sunday following winning their competition. The service was fantastic, staff amazing and very attentive, nothing was too much trouble and food was delicious. Defiantly going back and so reasonably priced.

Stayed for a second time this weekend and thoroughly enjoyed it. Staff are very friendly, hotel is clean, the breakfast is amazing and the rooms are comfortable. It was lovely to see the garden in bloom this time too.

What a wonderful hotel, warm welcome from the friendly staff on reception. Clean, tidy, well presented room,. Spotless bathroom and the bed is extremely comfortable.
The location is fantastic too, right next to Blackheath and a short walk to Greenwich Park.
Highly recommended by my family and I.

A decent hotel with nice rooms. The parking is diabolical though. There's very few spaces for such a large hotel. They have concrete bollards which restricts the parking even more. I ended up parking about 3-5 minutes away down a private road due to the lack of spaces. The staff were friendly though and the breakfast was nice. Would stay again but the parking situation needs sorting out.

100% best place to stay. Staff, not just one but ALL were the VERY best I have experienced in many years. Nothing was any trouble especially if visiting the 02. Bus stop opposite hotel and only fifteen minutes and £1.50. Village or town was lovely and filled with nice people, shops and nice atmosphere.

A well run hotel in a nice location. Food that I experienced (including breakfast) is good to very good. Only downside (and the reason for the loss of a star) is that the room we had was not air conditioned and when it is 33 deg C outside the room was very warm, especially at night. Scaffolding outside meant reluctant to leave windows open. The staff were all helpful and friendly and couldn't do enough for you.

Fantastic quality hotel with loads to do in the immediate area. We decided to stay here as an anniversary treat, we were made very welcome at reception. Staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. The big surprise was that when we got to our room, we were greeted by some "Happy Anniversary" balloons and a box of chocolates! Such a personal touch! I cannot recommend highly enough.

I've been charged of 140€ whereas I've never been there. Don't get me wrong it is my fault as I called the wrong Clarendon Hotel to confirm my booking so they had an empty room for a weekend in July. I therefore understand the trouble for them, but it is unbelievable to refuse to pay me back and therefore to be as much not commercial. I personnaly can't imagine that about an hotel but apparently I must be crazy.

I have just got home to the Isle of Man, after a 3 night stay at the Clarendon. This place just gets better every time I stay. The food, both at breakfast and in the evening is simply amazing — the best. My room was huge — and spotlessly clean — both when I arrived and every day, after I had been out. The staff, from reception, to the cleaners, to the waiters and waitresses are nothing short of brilliant — nothing is too much trouble … ever! I have to give a special mention to Freda and Isabella (waitresses at breakfast) — both of them and the rest of the highly professional team were kind, considerate and absolutely everything is done with a smile — they and the team are an assett to the hotel — they have become like old friends, and I look forward to seeing you all in September, when I come across for the On Blackheath festival — keep up the good work everyone — see you soon x.

Great views over Blackheath from the front of this hotel which is on a fairly busy road, it did not disturb my sleep though. Had to sleep with the window open as there's no air conditioning. Overall a good experience and I would stay again.

Lovely hotel, in a quiet area with lovely green park opposite. (Good for sunbathing on a sunny day! ) ice cream van usually parks up outside, if it's hot. I didn't see many shops — so ensure you have what you need. Rooms were ok — a little dated, but good value for money — with the breakfast. Breakfast was lovely — they were very accommodating and everything was delicious! We came in a cab, but noticed parking was a bit of a squeeze. There seemed to be very limited parking so I'd suggest no car or early booking.

The staff were brilliant, the food was awesome. The only problem was the parking situation not a lot of parking for every guest. Also the rooms needs updating. We struggled to find a USB Port to charge our phones in the room, We had to walk a mile away from the hotel to our car to charge our phones. Please update the rooms it needs some TLC to help both national & international guest to enjoy their stay.

Very nice Hotel in a very quiet area in front of a huge park in a small town that has everything from restaurants pubs shops etcetera very good breakfast and very good rooms for the price relation quality and in London unbeatable it takes a Little on arriving by bus or by train 10 minutes from London Bridge but worth it.

Lovely place to stay. Comfy bed and a good choice of breakfasts. Also a very good 3 course roast for the evening meal and the bar meals were good too. The Staff were delightful and nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Stayed in a different wing this time. There where some rooms being restored. The room we stayed in was very nice and new however it was extremely hot and only had a fan on the wall in the room which created noise at night and so disturbed our sleep. Great breakfast but again the breakfast room was like an oven. Too hot to relax.

It looks nice inside and the male receptionist over the phone was very helpful and attentive, I called to see if I could eat in the restaurant with my dog to which he kindly said that only in the bar it was allowed. Once I am there I asked the receptionist available if I could order from the bar with my dog as I had previously asked over the phone, to which she replied "BUT WHAT DO YOU WANT? ". I literally grab my things and left the premises, I don't think she knows what customer service is, I guess she was having a bad day but I am certainly not staying, eating drinking or doing anything in The Clarendon Hotel ever again.

Nice sized room with a modern bathroom. Friendly staff when checking in and out even with a lot of guests there at the same time. The food is good but location is about a 5 minute walk around from the train station with restaurants closer than that.

Excellent location and good buffet style breakfast. Rooms clean, warm and functional. Staff showed genuinely good customer service from reception to the breakfast staff. Would stay again.

Hi, Mido 1, 83 high and my feet were getting out of bed.
The mattress is 80 wide spring and very uncomfortable.

This place was so accommodating. We stayed here 3 nights and loved it. The breakfast is amazing. The bar was nice to visit at night while the Grandma and kids stayed in our 2 bedroom room. Our party of 5 was very comfortable here. This location is actually ideal to see London. Greenwich has it's own sights, and was a nice safe haven to return to after the chaos of London. We spent only one day in downtown London doing the tourist stuff, and then two days in Greenwich seeing Cutty Sark, museums, playgrounds, gardens, etc. Our 2 days were so relaxing and pleasant compared to the 1 day in London. I definitely recommend this hotel and area!

Highly recommend — stayed for a week & it was like home away from home. The staff were friendly, accommodating and highly professional. They really went out of their way to make sure that I was comfortable during my stay. Great location — 5 min walk to the train which takes you straight to London Bridge… Excellent!

We went to the Clarendon for a family boxing day meal. We were a large group of 24 including children. The food was lovely and the staff were all friendly and accommodating. The kids were given little Christmas presents. My only complaint is the wait time on drinks and between courses. Other than that we had a fantastic time.

Clean. Very nice rooms. Cleaners always walking around. Parking is not too bad. Very accomodating to special requests. Very close to main train stations.

The hotel was booked as a last-minute late in the evening, after a negative experience in an apartment. The staff overall is friendly, helpful and speaks English easy to understand. The rooms are nice, large, clean and covered with Wi-Fi. Two problems however: the lock of the rooms is not electronic, and the heating is not very strong, although in the winter of London is almost an obligation. The location is very interesting as it is very close to the Greenwich-Blackheath neighborhoods. To get to the center just take the railway pass from Blackheath (approx. 5 minutes walk) with interesting directions like London Victoria and London Bridge. I only took advantage of the breakfast, included in the fare, and continental English. Plentiful but the right, great choice between salty and sweet, drinks and various sauces that offer a charge for the whole day. Also present the possibility to book transfers from-to the airports very recommended.

Massive room with bathroom/bath in a small annex. Decor/layout quite old but comfortable. Noise from whatever function is on travelled very freely upstairs which made sleeping hard. Thankfully the staff looking after the very good breakfast buffet are lovely. Location near Greenwich is pretty, and there are good eats and pubs nearby. If you're going places on a weekday morning, going north through the tunnel is a bit of a 'mare.

Stayed here in September. Very pleased with the service. Also grateful for the prompt return of a bracelet which I forgot to pack. Housekeeping dept kept sent it back, when I called about it. I sent a self addressed stamped envelope, and received the bracelet a few days later.

I have just stayed at The Clarendon and would not hesitate to stay there again. The staff were all amazing, so helpful. The room was fine and the bed nice and comfy. The breakfast was fantastic, so much choice and again the staff were excellent. I would happily recommend it.

I stayed in February 2017 and I must say one of the worst experiences. I only stayed a night and the room had one large double bed and two single beds literally taking up the whole room. I have told them but they said it's alright. There were noises around my room and I just wasn't feeling safe to fall asleep though it was late at night. The toilet wasn't working properly. It got blocked. The breakfast was included and even though they do room service they didn't want to bring the food for me and instead said go and eat in the breakfast place. Please avoid there are much better hotels around the area.

Room was very large and well presented. Staff was friendly and helpful and there was free parking available! Only gripe was the room was a tad cold during the morning (only stayed for a night, so didn't bother finding the heating).

My rating is based on the restaurant and only on the food. We where hungry and wanted a simple meal nothing sophisticated. Being a local we never tried this place but I suggest you please stay away! Much better places just across the road for dinning. Booth dishes including the bread was cooked from frozen, the quality was POOR didn't finished the meal. The waitress must have noticed and when asked I give her my honest feedback and they have compt. The food. They seriously need a proper chef!

Adequate but clean room with very small bathroom and not able to open any windows. However, wall mounted fan provided! Not walking distance to O2 as advertised with a £12 taxi journey required. Some good and some poor and unattentive staff on Reception. Bar not open after midnight, again not catering for those attending shows at O2 and staying at hotel. Great overall location in a lovely village. Good breakfast and car parking.

The first room we were given was incredibly hot, feeling stuffier than the tube, and had a solitary bed bug crawling on the bottom of the bed. We were less than impressed and got the staff to move us to another room. Whilst the second room wasn't perfect it was a marked improvement (although also had a small bathroom and needed a good clean) and the staff were very nice. Overall, I wouldn't choose to stay here again, but it's not too bad as a last resort.

Good hotel structure, traditional English breakfasts and abundant internationals, well connected by public transport (bus and train line), staff prepared, very recommended.

Looked for a hotel near to University of Greenwich/ Trinity College of Music on business. Ideally placed. Lovely location. Friendly staff. Yes, it is first come first served for free parking spot which I was too late to take advantage of, but there is free overnight parking on local roads. Room was clean, comfy, all you need and very acceptable pricing for London and I thoroughly enjoyed the inclusive breakfast complemented by attentive staff. All staff in the hotel attentive and very pleasant. I can recommend this hotel for both business and pleasure.

Great peaceful location, large rooms even when chosing a single. Great staff, great breakfast options. FREE parking on site front and rear, can be a bit busy at times. Great local attractions and restaurants. 5min walk to Train station and occasionallyget to see the Cavalry on an early morning exercise.

My parents stayed here for the Marathon so we ate here the evening before and the day of the Marathon. The evening before dinner was a special meat/pasta buffet for the runners. I'm always weary of buffets but this was great. Fantastic steak and really nice pastas. The following evening was a la carte. Food was again fantastic. The service was slightly more all over the place. Items were forgotten and multiple staff were asking the same questions but they were dealing with a whole host of post-marathon room service requests so understandable. Friendly throughout.

Had a birthday lunch here. Half the group had afternoon tea and half had a proper meal. The service was friendly and the food was good. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their meal and afternoon tea too.

Easy, English, perfectly located.

We got married here, and orher than a few hicups, ie cutting up my cake and leaving it in a corner to stale without telling anyone, (ruined our cake really) The coordinator being on holiday so one of my guests did it on the day for me, but it was a beautiful day over all, the rooms are lovely, it is old fashioned but in a tasteful and clean way. Their resident dj was rubbish though so id suggest booking your own.

Stone-age hotel, by American chain standards. Very old, but very clean and well kept. Friendly and attentive staff. I did notice that the management did go out of their way to corral a drunken wedding party that arrived late. Breakfast was very nice, freshly prepared food and good variety. Overall, a nice stay, but if you're American and expecting a Holiday Inn Express or a Ramada, this might not be the place for you.

It was OK for oner night on a business trip but I probably wouldn't stay there again.

We were there in January and I have to say that we really had a dirty room. So I slept on my towel, and tucked me with my bathrobe. The breakfast was really brisk also totally not for me and the service at breakfast. But the receptionists were incredibly nice and helpful and the car everything was quick to reach.

We were all in all as a family with a 7-year-old child very nice large lawn in front of the door good breakfast clean quiet tea garden recommended.

Me and my husband booked a room for our wedding night. We had few extras in our room like champagne, fruits, sweets and flowers. First thing why we were disappointed was a bath tub, It was very small, I had to lay down with my knees bended, and I'm not a tall person at all. As for my hubby he found it best to have a shower instead. Second thing, the room was dirty. I never complained about hotel in my life, I'm a nice person and I one hair in the bathroom doesn't bother me, but it's not only the hair what we found. In the bathroom I almost stepped on a piece of glass All the headboard was so dusty and nasty that I couldn't not notice it, the cups and the spoon wasn't washed and it looked disgusting as the dried milk and coffee was staring from the shelf. Room also didn't have a hair dryer, had to ask for it. Sweets were almost out of date and tasted not nice, few grapes were rotten. Over all it was very disappointing, honeymoon night wasn't pleasant knowing we are in such a dirty room.

Rooms dated and smelling death. There is no renovations were made for some ten years. Inconceivable to find a television 20 cm diagonal and addition but not cable channels. Paid Internet. Cold reception, like all the rest. And besides dear, £95 a night. Inconceivable in 2011.
