We’ve been visiting the Tamasha for 15 years and it never disappoints. Amazing meal, great food & staff thoroughly recommend.

We just moved to Bromley last night and we were exhausted and couldn’t find the moving in box with plates and cutlery so our new neighbours told us about Tamasha just down the road. So nice to have an Indian meal with a difference. The food was traditional Indian style but with twist on it. Really friendly and welcoming staff with an old style fine dining atmosphere. Starters were all different to the usual and my tandoori chicken came with a delicious dal too. The best bit was it wasn’t just all sauce and a few pieces of meat and the portions were just perfect. Thoroughly recommend it for a delicious meal.

This is definitely one of the better Indian restaurants in the area. Far superior to anything calling itself a ‘curry house’. There are classics as well as original creations on the menu — all rich and flavourful. The food came out quickly and was delicious. The ambience was great too! The only negative for me was that the service felt a little too stuffy and I occasionally felt like I was being watched.

The place is alright, not much in the way of amenities. The room was red hot and the hot water took ages to come in the shower. Good for if you need a room and nothing else. Not good if you are disabled though, do bear this in mind!

Always spectacularly good food though the prices for the Indian wine are a complete rip off. The food cannot be faulted though, always tasty and fresh. My wife ordered fish and the portion was disappointingly small though when she complained they brought another portion free, but it was too little too late as we'd all finished eating. So all in all I've eaten here many times and I hope these minor niggles are not the norm as that would be a great shame.

Excellent authentic Indian food and really great service! The green chicken is marinated to perfection and is super succulent. My wife and I always order the Tamasha coffee at the end of our meal, it tastes amazing. 10/10 for all aspects.

Very nice hotel, the room was a good size, clean and tidy. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was included in the price. Parking was free.

Best Indian for miles best to save it for special occasions, fantastic decor dating back to the British Raj, you must check out the toilets. Service can't be beaten, but best of all is the food to die for! Would give it 6 stars.

Stayed a night in the hotel. Clean room with modern on suite. Comfortable bed & a quiet nights sleep. Sunday curry buffet was lovely. Well cooked, nice selection. Pleasant interior & friendly helpful staff. Would definitely stay & dine here again.

Indian food at it's best with great service and cocktails.

The decor is designed to take you back to the days of the Raj… Nice bar, good selection of dishes on the menu and usually cooked to a good or better standard (a bit hit and miss on starters sometimes and I've had dodgy takeaways a couple of times with stale onions and the oil having gone funny). The portions feel a little miserly for the money — some generosity would go a long way in my opinion. I do find myself going back every now and then for the chicken manchuri and punjabi gosht.

We went for lunch. I pretty sure we were the only people there. The reception was a bit cold and the man seemed stand offish. He did warm up a bit later. The food was amazing. Can not praise it enough. The restaurant was beautifully decorated. Very clean. The wc was something else. From the pictures on the wall (which was an eye opener) to the perfume deodorants for coustomers to use. A truly lovely experience.

Expensive and quality of food feels likes it's dropped. I don't mind spending money on a good meal but the recent visit was a bit disappointing. While still nice restaurant food feels a bit outdated and the staff inconsistent in terms of service.

Went there once with my wife and all the waiters are perverts who haven't seen a female before. After a few minutes after ordering our food when we looked over and noticed all the waiters standing together staring continuously at my wife who was feeling very uncomfortable. No other tables had customers. At this point I asked the waiters if they would like to join us so they could get a better view of my wife. I was fobbed off with an apology, the staring stopped and most of the perverts left the seating area. Food arrived but the roti bread was burnt really bad. Didn't bother complaining again, we just ate what we could and left. I will never ever visit this place again. A place to avoid if you have an attractive wife or girlfriend and dislike perverts.

We go here every valentines day and we love the atmosphere, the food (Authentic Indian Cuisine), the services and also music. Very traditional looking place bit pricy but hey! its worth it. Must try the Tamasha Coffee ;) :)

You'd think from the over average prices that you'd get the best food and service in the area… Unfortunately you'll be disappointed. Probably the worse service of any Indian restaurant and just average food. Save your money as this place is over rated. I would recommend the Shampan in Westerham.

Thoroughly recommend this restaurant, it consistently serves authentic delicious food (I have had the good fortune to visit India several times) the staff are polite, courteous and it has a refreshingly traditional, old world ambience — reminiscent of the recent TV program Indian Summers (to give an idea). It’s a shame more restaurants don’t embrace their cultural origins and music as they do at Tamasha. It’s slightly pricey yes but then you get what you pay for and I’d rather pay a little more for great food than a bit less somewhere distinctly average of which there is an abundance in Bromley. We had poppadum’s, 2 starters (recommend the lamb cutlets) 2 mains, 2 nans, 1 side of vegetables, a large bottle of mineral water, 1 mango lassi (gorgeous) 1 beer and the bill was £80 including service. The imagery in the ladies as mentioned by another reviewer (not racist at all – generalizing ALL Indian men as perverts! ) is actually very small and something you may not even notice unless you bother to look quite closely at the animated cartoon Kamasutra illustrations inside the cubicles. If you are not easily offended it is rather amusing and definitely an ice breaker!

I'm from India and liked the authentic and very tasty Indian foods served in this restaurant.

Avoid this restaurant if you're a woman. The waiters in that restaurant are perverts, I have had an awful experience of a pervert in that restaurant. I am not racist but Indian men are so sleazy and that restaurant has it's fair share of sleazy waiters. If you go to the ladies toilets they have inappropriate, explicit sex pictures plastered across the walls, some pictures even portraying intercourse with animals.

Fantastiic Food. My fav dish not on the menu. Asked about it. Hay presto they done it no questions asked. If curious it was mumsaab chatenard. Well cooked suckulant Lamb in med to hot spice in what I would call a well flavoured reduction in a lovely curry sauce dark and rich in colour and taste. Service great. Ambiance good. Pricy as you want to make it. Or not. Xxxxx.

When I went there in the Xmas holidays, we had to wait for 2 hours until they noticed us. I went with 3 other friends and we only had a single bed to share. The bathroom had no toilet paper, toiletries and no mirror. It was the worst weekend of my life. Only go there if you want to be tortured.

After a long wait in reception and being ignored we were shown to our room at the top of the hotel-3 flights of stairs-me and my pregnant daughter had to carry our own heavy cases due to there being no lift and no help from the staff. the room was clean and tidy but very basic and the toiletries consisted of small tubes of shower gel, no shampoo and the liquid hand soap was a cheap refil in an expensive bottle. we did not use the restaurant but what we saw looked good the price stated £75 out side on the board but we were charged £85 and as for the continental breakfast we were told it would be brought to our room at 8am and we had no choice in what we were getting or if we had a choice of places to eat it, we have eaten all over europe and THIS WAS NOT a continental breakfast, we were given very weak tea and coffee, 1 hard boiled egg each, 2 slices of toast and a box of frosties each, the frosties was more of a gesture as there was only enough milk for the tea. there was no phone in the room to contact room service and on making the hike to reception found it locked up with no body to be seen, even on checking out. in short avoid this over priced hotel but we can not comment on the restaurant as we never tried it.
