The rooms are beautiful, breakfast divine and the beds the comfiest you’ll ever sleep on. Superb location too.

Fantastic afternoon tea and a lovely place to chill and unwind x.

Would not recommend the Mary Quant Afternoon Tea. Shocking service and cakes were nothing like advertised.

Very disappointed
We were first put into what looked like a waiting area only to be told that was were we were having our tea
So we asked to be moved and put in a room behind reception and just left there to get on with it
They have a restaurant so why not use that area
Cakes looked good but not very nice to eat
Scones were doughy
Banana cake was stale
Buttercream was grainy
Meringue was off my friend had to spit it out
There was no service so we already had agreed not to pay service charge
Had to get up and go to reception to ask for more tea and to get our bill
Would not recommend!
When we complained they sent a young boy to deal with us not even a senior member of staff
So he had to go back and forth to get a reply from the chef who in return said nothing wrong with cakes and there had been 8 couples for tea that day and no one had complained. Well I can tell you we spoke to one couple with were having their tea in the waiting area and they were not impressed after paying £90 but were obviously too polite to complain.
We agreed to pay £40 but in hindsight we should not have paid for anything it was shocking and the attitude was poor

What a wonderful hotel! Quaint and traditional. Rooms are luxurious. The concierge is particularly amazing. Full of knowledge and so helpful. Made our stay.

Great hotel, beautiful rooms and bathrooms. The hotel itself is beautiful and the staff is quiet and respectful. My only complaints are the lack of A. C. (it technically has it but it's next to nothing), no fan in the bathroom so it can get a bit stinky and stuffy, and there's only one hotel key (no key cards) so they ask you to turn it in to them when you leave for the day. Overall beautiful and nice.

I have stayed at The Pelham Hotel three times over the past 18 years and in that time I believe the amenities have been pared down. The staff is all very nice and helpful but the rooms seem smaller and less well cared for, i. E. Scuffs on walls have not been painted and, although bathrooms in general are up to date, some drains don't work properly, and there is tiny closet space. One improvement that could be made would be to have French press coffee makers in rooms or at least available in the mornings without having to go to the restaurant. There was also a lot of ambient noise either created by staff working or the sound of water trickling through pipes. Perhaps I had been upgraded in the past but I remember larger rooms. I probably will not stay here again because I feel that for $400/night and staying one week the value is just not there.

Class Hotel! Super friendly staff. Room for London conditions very large. Perfect location to explore the city. Directly at South Kensington station. Hotel located directly on the street but was very quiet.

So we ordered a tea in the main room next to the reception. First thing we see when we walk in, is a woman sleeping as though she was about to die. Then we seat down and order some green tea. While wating for the tea I take my mobile beacuse I had a msg. Next thing I see is the husband of the dying woman come to me and tells me"please stop the noise my wife is pregnant"? Really? We had to go take our tea downstairs! we went to the reception to ask if it was usual that the guest can sleep in the public area and the other guest must chut up because the wife is pregnant and needs rest. The manager did not even apologize and send us to the restaurant to have a tea. I really wonder if you can classify the service 5 stars! Despicable really! This will be our last visit to the Pelham chicken coop.

Had afternoon tea in own private room. Lovely. Teas were huge and tasty. Good variety.

The décor is very pretty and the hotel is ideally located in front of the South Kensington Station (Circle & District and Picadilly lines). The area is very lively: grocery stores (chic), restaurants and pubs… for info we are in the heart of the French quarter, not very exotic. The hotel is cosy, the rooms tiny but very cute and well equipped: bathrobes, slippers, hairdryer and mini bar, water bottles are offered every day. I just regretted the lack of coffee/tea tray.

Clean hotel right in the center of it all. Tube close by and front desk staff always willing to help.

Rooms are nicely decorated, has a mini bar you pay for but doesn't have tea or coffee, you need to request a tray from reception.
Down for breakfast at 9:05, our bacon and egg roll arrived at 9:50. Good timing if they hand made the rolls and sourced the eggs from a farm while we waited! It's also the first hotel I have ever EVER stayed in that has ran out of food by 12:30pm on a Wednesday afternoon! Literally nothing, we had no choice but to purchase food and bring it back. The bar staff on the other hand were great, very attentive and friendly.

Of the high-end hotels I've been to, this wasn't all that great. It's very "old-style" which I liked but the room was kind of small. Each room has a different design which is cool. Customer service was okay; most days I walked in and there was no one around which is very odd for high-end hotels. However, one night I asked for a microwave to heat up a delicious Shepherd's pie and they took it, heated it up in the oven, and brought it to my room with utensils and napkins. Overall, it was okay.

We stayed here for a couple nights for our honeymoon and had a terrific stay! Pelham is situated right in the heart of South Kensington in the ideal location – just a few minutes walk to the Natural History Museum, Science Museum, Kensington Gardens and some great local eats and boutique shops. We wish the room had included an iron/ironing board but besides that it was perfect! They even surprised us with a handwritten note and bottle of bubbly in celebration of our special occasion. Would definitely stay again!

Another terrific stay at the Pelham. Always hospitable, providing a delightful home away from home. Air Con worked perfectly — which was nice as it was warm out in September; sheets top quality, together with the bed. All the nice touches, including a smart phone at no cost for folks without a local SIM card… Love staying here in South Ken.

I stayed at the hotel with my Aunt on our first trip to London. The hotel is located in South Kensington within in steps of the South Kensington tube station. Easy access and within minutes to many of London's attraction (Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, etc. ). It is located next to a somewhat busy street (previous reviews noted noise), however we were located on the 4th floor and did not hear little to none of the street noise. Rooms are very clean and well maintained. I truly appreciate the staff. My Aunt had not been feeling well when we arrived to London and they were the upmost kind and helpful to her. Great service overall. Will definitely stay again when I come back to London.

My husband and I just returned from a fabulous stay at The Pelham. We could not have been happier with the location of the hotel, the warm and wonderful staff, or our cozy, clean, and charming room. From the moment we first walked in the door and were greeted by the concierge until the morning we left, everything was just right. Most mornings, we enjoyed a delicious continental breakfast (with additional items available from the menu) in the sunny and cheerful Trattoria that included perfect french press coffee. The common areas of the hotel are beautiful with artfully designed fresh flowers. The hotel staff assisted us with show tickets and a car rental and could not have been more accommodating. Definitely look forward to visiting again. Thank you so much to everyone at The Pelham for helping to make our stay in London such a good one!

I would put 3, 5 stars rather than 4 because we had some problems with the hot water which has been resolved. However the decoration is very cozy and nice. Good restaurant with kind and competent staff. Very good location. An address to remember.

Terrible because for the price you get boiling water in the bathtub so impossible to take a shower. Then the cold water in the sink doesn't flow. After calling them we waited for at least 10min then they came and couldn't do anything. What kind of quality is that?!

Amazing staff and unbelievable room. It is well located and a great price. I couldn't recommend this enough! You need to stay here!

The rooms are very small, the First one we got was without a window…, the kitchen are Italiaans and have no idea How to cook a british breakfast, the sausages were horrible and the bacon was like left overs from the kitchen, the toast as rock hard yet 23 gbp plus 12, 5 percent service. No tea facilities In a 5 star hotel? Would never stay here again, they don t even have a bar…

Only stayed overnight, but it was very good. Lovely, helpful staff, comfortable bed, air conditioning very welcome on a hot night. Only troubled by the underground trains rumbling away, but that's hardly the hotel's fault, and something one has to expect in London. Overall, would happily stay here again as it's very convenient and comfortable.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the pelham hotel London. The location was ideal, and staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay there again and would certainly recommend it.

We loved staying at the Pelham hotel! Beautiful rooms with very comfortable beds, excellent service from very helpful staff and wonderful surroundings. The only thing that bothered us was the constant noise from the underground.

Stayed at The Pelham for a week while visiting our oldest daughter at her study abroad program. This hotel provided an excellent experience from start to finish. The rooms were very clean, updated and plush: comfortable beds, nice towels, etc. The "library" was the coziest of rooms to order a drink and sit by the fire at the end of the day. The staff was very helpful and friendly save one woman who was at the front desk. The location was excellent, being right across from the tube station and right near many places to pick up coffee, snacks, fresh fruit, etc. There are several nice restaurants and pubs in the neighborhood. It is walking distance to several museums and to Chelsea. Our entire family said that we would not look any further for a hotel if we were to return to London.

We had a wonderful 'Tea-tox' afternoon here early in January, and left feeling fresh and ready to take on the new year! A cornucopia of tea blends on offer to help revitalise your whole being, there were a selection of healthy goodies as well to graze on together — brown rice and ginger scones, cucumber and lime sorbet, fresh strawberries and blueberries, poached salmon rye bread sandwich, we sat by a towering bookcase and browsed through the books as we drank, ate and chatted. A lovely experience in a lovely setting.
