We had the London theme afternoon tea. From entry to the hotel to the minute we left staff were super friendly and attentive. I would definitely recommend anyone to visit. The food was outstanding and I would definitely recommend the champagne cocktails.

The most perfect London themed afternoon tea for my mums birthday. Everything was so adorable and absolutely delicious. They took into account any changes we wanted to make to the menu and brought a complimentary happy birthday cake out for my mum at the end. The best afternoon tea I have ever had and a lovely indulgent treat on our trip.

The afternoon tea. It's fabulous. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and the hotel itself is gorgeous. The afternoon tea comes out on a replica of the London Eye and there is a great selection of food. The cakes are in the shape of London attractions. Highly recommend this place and I will be going back.

From the moment we entered The Kensington, was warmly greeted by the concierge and taken to our table for the Landmark Afternoon Tea. Our waiters/waitresses were friendly and engaging which went towards the whole experience of a truly wonderful afternoon.

All you can say good, very good, about the modern hotels. Excellent atmosphere too.

Went for afternoon tea for my birthday… the staff were so friendly and helpful! they all went out of their way to wish me a happy birthday and even brought out a cheesecake on a special plate with happy birthday iced on it! never been there before but the hotel is beautiful, the staff wonderful and the food fantastic… loved it! thank u!

Afternoon tea here was one of the best I have been to and I have been too many of the luxury hotels in London. The service was top notch and the staff made us feel really welcome and were very friendly. The atmosphere and interior of the hotel is beautiful and the London Landmarks afternoon tea was delicious. The ingredients were so fresh and prepared beautifully. We had a 4 pm sitting and we never felt rushed to leave after we had finished, in fact we didn’t leave until 7 pm! Well done Kensington Hotel you are my new favourite place to go to for Afternoon Tea in London.

The staff were extremely courteous and so welcoming. Even though we were only there for an afternoon tea we were made to feel so special. My mother and I were given roses as we were celebrating a belated Mother’s Day. The tea was truly amazing! Best afternoon tea I’ve ever had anywhere.

Your staff is the best! Thomas, Curtis and frankly everyone we encountered made us feel so at home and welcome during our first trip to London. They went out of their way to accommodate. The location, décor and size of the rooms was wonderful. We had the London Landmarks afternoon tea, and it was amazing! We also had dinner at the Townhouse and it was a wonderful meal.

Love this hotel, its location, the service, decor, style and class. This place is as grand on the inside as it is on the outside and the staff and management clearly go to some lengths to make sure that the standards are constantly maintained. Book early… this place fills quickly… a testament to is popularity. My favourite London hotel.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. I loved the lobby and the feel of the hotel. My room was a bit on the small side but was very cozy. The gym had all the latest equipment. Room service was delicious. My only complaint was I could hear the room next door very clearly in the middle of the night — walls were a bit thin. Would stay here again.

Now that I’ve stayed at The Kensington, how can I ever book anywhere else in my favorite London? Vacationing from Los Angeles, I whirled through Norway and Nice, France, but ending up in London was the icing on the cake! Our room was lovely and luxurious, staff were above courteous and the afternoon tea with some old time friends; being in Central London was just amazing! We’ll be back!

Excellent. Can't beat the hospitality. The location provided for a great run to Hyde park. On my return from running, the door man had a water waiting for me. The breakfast was great; I had the best omelette I've ever had in my life. The only complaint would be the size of the rooms, but I think that's only compared to what I'm used to in America. After touring all over Europe afterwards, the room sizes were definitely bigger than everywhere else.

I came here for my 30th birthday yesterday (15/06/2018). The staff are all quite friendly. However, the food is very very bland. I have been to various afternoon tea establishments and was slightly disappointed with this one. The staff do not let the tea brew before they pour it in your cup, so your tea is very weak so I told them not to pour it anymore and that I would do it myself. It is great to take photos. However, the actual sitting area for the afternoon tea has no theme at all, which is very disappointing. They need to add more theme to the afternoon tea sitting area and then it would be a lot better. They do cater to allergies. It's just a shame that you don't get any scones with your afternoon tea!

I have just returned from the beauty and the beast themed afternoon tea and honestly loved today! Everything was so perfect. All the staff right from the doormen to the staff in the restaurant were so helpful and amazing at their job. The food was amazing and I loved all the characters on the table. It was so so special and I can't wait to come back to this hotel. Plus the toilets are amazing! Such a perfect day. Thankyou everyone involved.

Beautiful hotel in a classy and vibrant neighborhood steps away from the tube. The breakfast is fantastic, great quality food with a nice buffet and expanded menu. Room was a little tight but nicely maintained and water and coffee was complimentary and restocked daily. They also sent up prosecco and chocolate strawberries. Overall a great place.

Thomas is a master at his job giving a little history on the hotel on the way to our table and once seated he told us all about what our afternoon was going to be about. The food was amazing of a high standard and plentyful. The attention to detail was spot on! I highly recommend this to any age and even if your not a disney fan your still going to love it! The staff are a credit to your hotel as they go out of their way to make your experience enjoyable!

Being a die-hard Disney fanatic, the moment I heard of the Tale As Old As Time tea, I hurried to book our seating. Due to the popularity of this tea, we needed to book a year in advance for our annual London holiday. My daughter and I were joined by my mother who was visiting from the US. The attention to detail was superb. We had the pleasure of dining with Cogsworth, Lumiere, Mrs. Potts, and Chip who recommended the grey stuff, which was indeed delicious! The savouries were a delicious beginning, the sandwiches were lovely and plentiful, but the sweets were by far our favorites as they were brilliantly done references to my all time favorite Disney princess tale. You might wonder what could possibly enhance this experience; two names come to mind THOMAS AND BARBARA! We traveled from the US and Germany for this tea and we were not disappointed. Thomas and Barbara were delightfully friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable. They truly made this an extraordinary highlight from our trip. My expectations for service may be unrealistic after being served by Thomas and Barbara. They cannot be matched! Everything was perfect and I highly recommend this afternoon tea.

We were a party of 4 booked for the Beauty and the Beast afternoon tea. All the staff were very welcoming and professional, and it seemed like nothing was too much trouble to ensure we had the best experience possible and we were happy with our visit. The food was excellent, I highly recommend the Jasmine Silver Tip white tea, and overall I thought the service was good value. I can see why this sold out so quickly. We had a wonderful time! :)

We attended The Kensington for the Tale As Old As Time Afternoon Tea. The food and selection of teas was wonderful. The service was very attentive. It has a lovely atmosphere. The only negative comment I have is that the bill had a service charge of 12.5%. I personally believe that this should be considered as part of the price of afternoon tea and then any tip should be down to the choice of the visitor if they wish.

I just left a 6 day stay at the Kensington. I am truly impressed with the service and friendliness of the staff. The interiors are great. The hotel bar is a must see even if just for drinks. The location is great — close to tube stop. The rooms are tiny but configured well. I highly reccomend it.

It was a really lovely day out the choice of teas was amazing the food was great and I liked it was of the characters. Staff were very attentive but I felt let down by 2 things
The 1st it would of been nice to have some Disney beauty and the beast background music as after all it was a beauty and the beast afternoon tea and secondly the service charge
Surely if u r happy with the service tip the waiter but it is alot of money to add to the already quite expensive bill.

We attended the beauty and the beast themed afternoon tea and it was brilliant! The layout and crocery was in keeping with the film. The staff were so friendly and great at waiting on our table, and the food was delicious. Very worth the visit, but book well in advance, as it is hard to get a table at short notice!

This hotel was our first taste of London to kickoff our honeymoon last winter. Service was good and the style was cozy. Only disappointment was the room size but to my understanding that was the standard you would expect in this bastion of a metropolitan European capital. We had breakfast here every morning and it was certainly a delight. All the food was kept fresh and their menu was unique to us. We sure still miss it.

A superb venue for relaxing and having a nice conversation with friends. I have yet to stay at the hotel but I plan to do so in the future. I believe it may well be a fantastic experience. The decor is second to none and I can't praise the designer's highly enough.

Great venue for a drink. Not stayed here though. Service is good though in slightly busy periods service standards drop remarkably.

The area is beautiful as well as close to many upper-class restaurants. Our room was quite spacious and clean, and the street view was quite pretty. The staff was very friendly though a bit eager, however some of the in-house restaurant staff were difficult to understand. Overall, this was a great stay and I only wish I could have stayed longer.

We live in 315, although very clean and decorated very well, but it's pretty small. Small bathroom into a realm. However, everything is very modern and clean. Beds very comfortable, no need to worry about traffic noise. Decoration in public areas of the hotel are beautiful. We enjoyed drink until I fell asleep. One by one the only thing I'm mad about, is less a plug next to our bedroom mirror. Can't look in the mirror so there's no way to take care of my hair. Where there is no dissatisfaction, going again.

Stayed here and had a really good experience. We got there and our room must have been allocated accidentally because there were painters in there, the problem was quickly sorted out and we were upgraded. Nice friendly staff, would recommend.

This is another universe entirely. Between the boutique hotel and the palace. A sumptuous pause, both so very London chic and surreal. Modern and suspended in time… Step in and the dream starts right within the entrance with the cloud-like lights, the murals coming to life. On the side, a corridor leads to a succession of lounges each with its own atmosphere, bathed in light by large, elegant windows. On winter days, you will find roaring chimney fires and regulars wait for dusk with delight settling down with a book, an afternoon tea or a cocktail (the barman can personalise them for you and trust me they are amazing. Ask Alessandro! ), watching the flames dance — such a cosy, comforting feeling. A wonderful place to spend a rainy day or meet up with friends. The rooms are classic but luxurious, the bed so comfortable. A real escape from life.

Seriously — this is an awesome hotel with a great staff and very comfortable location. Short walk to Hyde Park, museums right around the corner, tons of food nearby, Kensington Station down the block — really was happy to have gotten to stay here.

I'have stayed in this hotel for 5 days 4 nights (20-24/7/2013). I also used to work from hotel services background. During the stay I am perfectly satisfied with the service there. Started feeling unhappy with the door lock matters but after the second times I called up again, Paul was very patient to quickly help me solve this pro during late night, I would like to special thanks to PAUL for being so helpful. Secondly the chinese bellman very good to take the initiative for ours baggage. Thirdly The service from bar and restaurant pretty good too. Hopefully for my next trip the service still will up to there. Keep it up.
