MOUSE In the room. Unhelpful staff attitude, uncaring, one guy even laughed at the stressful, traumatic, upsetting night spent with a rodent in the room. My husband was awoken feeling the mouse on his back. Management advised of the mouse, did not come to the room but after an hour of waiting for their assistance, I was forced to publicly confront with management in the reception area. Public area after a disturbed night, feeling unclean from a mouse freely running in our belongings. Hotel staff had no show of sympathy, empathy, customer care and no follow up consideration for deeply traumatised guests. Yes they refunded that nights accommodation but the attitude and consideration of discomfort & impact of sharing a room with a rodent was disappointing. Overall experience was disgusting with cleanliness put in question, although surfaces looked clean, mouse droppings were visible on the white bed linen. Delivery drivers seen regularly in reception and lobby, presumably delivering to rooms. Takeaway packaging discarded in the lobby area beside the lifts.

Great hotel good for business lots of local food and entertainment places.

I cannot fault the food or the staff… everyone has been so very accommodating…
yes they cater for Indian clientele… but if you request they do provide other suitable options.
room is spacious and bed is very comfortable, shower is great… I have made my room to the way I want. And yes I got a few things from supermarket by Uber. it's what you make of the situation.

I never even got to stay at the place due to misadministration, system errors, wrong information and incompetence. Manager Shahareen was very very poor giving wrong information and didn't acknowledge the numerous problems I had had. Asking for a senior manager I had the misfortune of dealing with Christian Van Dam. How this gentleman is a manager is beyond me. Each piece of feedback I gave regarding my unhappiness he made me feel like I was a liar and simply didn't acknowledge anything I said. He was also unwilling to appease me to get the booking made and was rude and made unfounded accusations. I am staying in the Chelsea Harbour Penthouse suite at weekend and the management could learn a lot from the wonderful Larisa there! NB. I advised Christian that on official Samsung caller ID his number comes up as 'Christian Tinder' — VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! I told him this to help him but again he gave the impression he didn't believe me and that I was lying.

The hotel was nice but the food at the Bugis Street restaurant was the worst Chinese food I have ever had. The beef wasnt fresh the noodles were too oily another dish was noodles with cornflour sauce and green veg. We left so much of the food yet no one asked, what was wrong. Good Chinese food is not difficult to cook so why serve this poor food. Not cheap either. Never again!

In London during a very hot week. Room was great initially, clean and nice and cool. On arriving back to the hotel late evening we found our hotel room absolutely stank of cigarette smoke — not great for a hotel with no smoking rooms and when one of you is asthmatic. After telling us there were absolutely no rooms available one was miraculously found. Room was ok but aircon didn’t work and the room temp wouldn’t drop below 30c! Requested a fan but it didn’t turn up. Very disappointing experience and will not recommend!

Had my wedding ceremony here and it was brilliant. The staff, William, Karen and Bianca were a pleasure dealing with and made our wedding day the best ever. This is an excellent place to celebrate and stay! Would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place that provides excellent facilities and services.

Great place to be in. I was here for training 2 days. The location is in quite central of London and could be easily loctated within the city. Has good connecting tube way nearby and the food quality is great. As I was a pure vegetarian, I couldn't find something, but the chef was really humble enough to cook some dish for me along with rice. Was a great place and experience.

FOLLOW UP thorough review — post travel as indicated. At first glance, the hotel lobby is quite impressive. When I opened my room door, the difference between the lobby and the "club room" was like stepping into a time machine. However, the room did offer a Handy smartphone for local calling free of charge during my stay! There was a small closet to hang clothing but not big enough to set up the luggage rack that ended up being moved around the room for use. It appeared that the bed was the newest addition to the room and although it was a double, the mattress was showing signs of required replacement. The tub was enormous and could accommodate anyone with long legs however, the shower head leaked equivalent amounts of water rather than spraying, had low water pressure and a shortage of hot water. Upon exiting the tub, a portion of the tub hand rail was missing. Regarding those stains on the shower curtain? If they do not wash out — replace it. There was a rail for towels that had an electric cord and a timer connected to it but a sign on the wall read: "please kindly note that this is not a heated towel rail". The towels hanging from the rack needed to be replaced as they too were ragged. There was no make up mirror or vanity lighting. Oddly, the (nonfunctional) hair dryer was at the writing table rather than in the bathroom. A replacement dryer arrived but it too did not function.

Too bad I can't put 0 stars. For a 4-star hotel:

— the room was not made. Dirty towels, bed with dirty sheets, trash cans etc from the former customer.
The front desk changes us to the room… for a room:
— older with the broken window impossible to close. The gentleman of the now had to pass the repair … we're still waiting for him
— Only 2 electrical sockets in the room.

You'll never set foot in this hotel, which absolutely doesn't deserve its 4 stars. View edgy the facility is more like a 2-star hotel. Get away from this hotel as a whole.

I will never go to this hotel ever again. After a 14-hour flight from America to London and then train, we were told our room would not be ready for another 45 minutes. With no available seats in the lobby, the front desk person gave us vouchers for a free drink in the restaurant. We waited for more than an hour. As soon as we opened the door to our room we were hit with a stench. I immediately went out to the hall and found the first maid available and brought her to the room. She told me that the toilets are not working and she told them not to give me the room as it was not ready but they did anyway. But, the smell was not from the toilet. It was something else equally unbearable. She was to bring a machine to clean the air and the plumber, along with the building engineer, to fix the toilet. We were in London for a wedding. We were one hour late for a pre-wedding dinner planned for guests that came from America were unable to get ready until the plumber and the building engineer left. They also talked about how the air — conditioner on that side of the hall is not working. It did not work for our entire stay. I met with the manager that night when we returned from the dinner. He agreed there was a smell but offered that "it isn't unwelcoming. " What! I told him I want the smell gone. He told me he would work on it. The next day we found cokes, energy drinks and a bottle of wine with a screw cap (not a cork) along with a cork screw opener and a bowl of fruit.

Terrible place to stay! Waited hours and hours for our hotel to be ready when they kept promising “20 more minutes”. When we finally got to the room, it was hardly cleaned, the last guest’s hair was still on the pillow. Bathroom is moldy. No one at the front desk is able to help you with anything. There are kids that run through the halls yelling every night. We were left with no toilet paper or shower caps when we returned back to the hotel. Thankful for Nik in concierge. Nicest and most helpful guy in England!

Absolute wonderful hotel. Staff and management was terrific and service off the very highest quality.

Attended an Award ceremony and arrived at 1.50pm to check in and told Room wouldn’t be ready for at least 2 hours. Despite pointing out that this was not my fault there was no offer of complimentary lunch or drinks while we waited on housekeeping catching up. Went to bar for drink and told to be seated and order taken at table. 10 minutes passes without being offered a drink and eventually when they arrived, the mocktail was more expensive than the beer… When the event f…inished around midnight, we retired to the same bar as it was closing. Thankfully they served us and we bought a double round so we could sit for another hour. The bar stayed closed for 20 minutes despite more guests arriving and sitting in the bar looking for a night cap. Eventually they opened the bar again and allowed the celebrations to continue, albeit at London prices. There are some really good restaurants nearby too in this nice neighbourhood. The breakfast at the hotel was expensive (£22 each) so we opted to eat at Starbucks round the corner for £8 each. The location is really good, beside the Gloucester Road Underground Station, which makes it easy to get around London. This would be the main reason to stay here but the service is not up to standard and the rooms are shabby and in desperate need of upgrading.

Very comfortable rooms. Location of the hotel very favorable within walking distance of the metro station. Or underground as the Londoners call it. Also good value for money.

Attended a 3 day summit workshop at the Millennium. The conference room facilities was quiet comfortable, room temperature was a little cold. It would have been nice if the toilets were much closer to the conference room. Staff were very friendly especially the young lady who attended to the ladies toilet beside reception (well done). Lunch was delicious, staff made sure all my needs were met with top satisfaction.

Superb hotel offering great amenities and a Royal breakfast. The black spot is that we were cold for three days. When we read the comments we made a posteriori, it seems to be a recurring problem. Otherwise nothing to complain about.

Apart from s mix up with the room, I liked this hotel. Very nice breakfast and comfortable bed. The conference facilities and catering were also very good. Good location too, without lovely pubs and restaurants nearby as well as the Natural History Museum.

Nice enough Hotel, but absolutely ruined by the way their Car Operator works. I visited the Hotel for a conference. The payment machine was not functioning correctly and I tried to pay at reception. This couldn’t be done. I tried to phone them from the number on the machine and via the web from the car park. No luck. On returning home I contacted them to try to pay again and the automatic notice on sending them an email was they would be in touch in 2 days. Two days later I received a mail saying I would receive a letter. This letter was a demand for £100 with a reduction if paid immediately. Absolute scoundrels … abusing the system to price gouge customers.

I’m so torn about this hotel. I’d probably give it l a 3.7. The location is amicable because of the closeness to the UnderGround. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom clean and the price was right. So stayed two nights so I dealt with the cold room and street light outside my room window (no black-out curtains). I wondered if my son and I were just given the worst room in the place and maybe all the others were much nicer. I’d say the lobby and first floor business area were the most updated and attractive areas. The bedroom furniture was so outdated. Drawers slanted, furniture chipped and carpet corners lifting. Very in need of a makeover/renovation. In summary, if just a couple of nights and like me you are looking for a deal on the stay… go for it! If aesthetics matter to you then maybe not.

Hotel located 2 ' walk from Gloucester metro stop. Simple but suitable rooms. Service not always efficient. Rich breakfast buffet.

Our booked room was very small. Overlooking a wall, directly at the ventilation system. Impossible to stay there for a week.
At the reception we got a new room without any problems. Much larger and two single beds as booked.
We only had overnight. In the vicinity many possibilities for breakfast and food.
The ambiance in the house was wonderful. Quiet, attentive, friendly.
Perfect location right on the subway stop.
Great restaurants nearby.
Not far from Hyde Park.
Great location to explore London, which we have done extensively.
An unforgettable week!

Friend's birthday party celebration. Had drinks in one of the reception rooms downstairs which was super roomy. Then moved to the second floor for the actual bash. I wasn't excepting the room to be that nice but it was beautiful. Super high glass ceilings and glass walls. It was late in the evening so not sure whether the glass walls and ceilings are see through. Dance area a bit smaller than expected but I suppose it depends on the number of guests. Bar to the side and great service from waiting staff. Reception staff and Porters super helpful and polite.

There is interbationales breakfast, the rooms are spacious, the carpeting has come a little bit in the years, but OK. The staff is also in trouble to fix them. Hotel bar is available, easily accessible next to the subway.

Sadly we only used the hotel for parking but we wished we were staying. Staff were lovely and helpful, really couldn't do enough for us. It was lovely and clean inside the hotel and had a real wow factor. Great location for the natural history and science museums too.

Yes Super Hotel. We had a view of the street and the service was great. Only drawback were the Zigarretenkippen (so 30) right in front of the window on the ledge.

Pleasant stay. In a great, safe and quiet location. Right across the street from Gloucester Road station The room we had was a great size. Comfortable bed and good pillow selection. Maids seemed to overlook some things each day, but pretty minor detail. Would stay here again.

Good location, comfy bed. I give it 2 star due to a series of outrageous experiences with their housekeeping staff. They once knocked on all my colleagues’ door to ask when we will check out. Company has prior arrangements, for past 25 years with them and they should know better or check with reception before they disturb guests’ rest. Yesterday they made me wait for one hour for a room, they haven’t got a cleanup room. I will never come here by choice.

Third time staying at the Millennium Gloucester! We always have a great experience here. It's a bit dated, but it's decent and in a good neighborhood. It's also a 2 min walk to the Gloucester Road station so it's super convenient!

I use this hotel as a meeting venue. It's convenient in London just next door to the Gloucester Road tube. The hotel itself is excellent value for money considering it's location. The meeting rooms I have used are perfectly fine for an internal meeting, they are abit tired As are the bedrooms but perfectly adequate. The staff are helpful but trying to find one sometimes can be a little tricky!

— not found at check in the name despite identity card — checked in under false name although ID card with prior — and increase — room ticket was programmed incorrectly, no access to hotel rooms — very long waiting times at the reception desk, In my opinion probably due to the chaotic processes of the hotel — at check in not mentioned the WLAN extra costs and simply the code handed/calculated (Funktinierte almost never! )
— when checking in at the reception, there were already problems with the hotel guests — an argument between the Arabs and the receptionist — > Arabs threw the receptionist in front of all the aggression on the PC screen — breakfast was not really especially found it wasn't handsome — Rolls relatively dry/cheap, sausage and cheese did not look very appealing, just like scrambled eggs — overall not inviting — on the second day of breakfast there were problems with the staff, as we wanted to put a chair at a table to our group, which we Empty table, and the manager of the breakfast room was in trouble, that the chairs could not be taken away from the tables and added to another table the hotel rooms: • Upon arrival in the room, two larger makeup stains on the pillow Discovered! — then put the pillow extra on the floor so that the upholstery is changed by the maid the next day.

Hotel located 5 minutes from the Gluocester Road stop so very accessible either by car or public transport. I went to the hotel for a work event and the deal received by the bartenders very professional and correct. I recommend it.

Very enjoyable stay; room was v good and better than expected for the price. V friendly staff from check-in, to help from concierge to atmosphere at the barDrinks a bit pricey, but this is to be expected from a hotel in this part of town. Ideally located-couldn’t be more convenient for transport, being a very short walk to Gloucester Road Station as well as being close to local pubs, eateries, shops, V&A, other museums and Harrods. Only negative point was insufficient time to do everything I wanted-on this visit, that is. Will be back to London during the summer and definitely look forward to staying here again.

This hotel is amazing. Rom the room to the location. It's right next to Gloucester Road station and there are so many restaurants and and supermarkets around which makes it so easy to find whatever you need at whatever time. Staff are amazingly friendly and so helpful. The gym is big and so are the rooms. My stay here is always so wonderful.

Broken TV in my standard room, so scored an upgrade to a Millenium Club room with a massive bed and telly. Excellent service from friendly staff. Knocked a star off since one of the chambermaids left an empty pizza box in my room, the little scruff.

Loved it. Many eating places nearby. Across the street from the Gloucester tube station. Convenient. We were upgraded to a large room for our anniversary. Spacious. Clean. Fresh. The breakfast buffet was good, offering many selections. And concierge was always helpful. I recommend this hotel for London visits.

Staff at the small care high class establishment However the room we occupied was either in construction or in decrepitude. The towel dryer was not working (well for the fog! ), the window was hard to open, the tiles were not very fresh and to finish the fixed shower head set for people under 1, 80m.

Very decent hotel, well located, atmosphere "British" as we imagine.

Been here for many leisure trips to London over the years. Great location close to Gloucester Road tube, bars and restaurants, and tube from Heathrow, nice staff too generally. BUT the place is overrun with young Arab males in summer staying for what seems to be lengthy durations. I couldn't care about that were it not for them banging doors at all hours, talking loudly and phones going off in the corridor and rooms in wee small hours when wife and I trying to sleep. They seem truly nocturnal and it seems like its away from home and 'party time'. Been getting more of a problem over the years we've visited. Not convinced management are intent on really sorting it out (after repeated calls to reception to no avail and me getting the 'we are guests too' from them when challenging them directly) given the income stream they must generate for them. Won't be back, which is a pity given it used to be fine.

Lovely, attentive staff. We took a chance and got here 3 hours prior to check-in and we were lucky that the front desk were able to check us in straight away. Hotel is very nice and cosy. Bathroom is a bit small but still nice. Only issue was that housekeeping knocked on the door (twice) at 9:30am which woke us up after a late night out on a Saturday morning. We only stayed for 1 night so housekeeping was not necessary. Other than that, couldn't fault our stay at all. Will definitely be back. :)

Has experienced his best days long ago. Temperature in the room cannot be regulated. Windows are leaking. The location is very good. The breakfast is very good. Due to the size very hectic and impersonal.

Very nice hotel for the price. Literal Walk 1calle to take the subway. You have several restaurants next door for breakfast and for dinner and even 1 casino. There is also a 1-street pub. You got everything close. The location is not the most central but in a very quiet area. The rooms are fine. The only thing I complain and I never resolved is that they put USB inputs to charge your phones and did not work, so if you had no adapter for UK and could not charge your phone.

While the location of the hotel was nice, the service provided by the staff left a lot to be desired. There did not seem to be any initiative by the staff to resolve problems. The room was clean but our air — conditioning did not work.

This is a clean and upscale hotel, in a quieter part of London. It's by the embassies on an easy walk to Kensington Park as well as the Victoria and Albert museum. The hotel is close to a tube (underground) station, which is very convenient. This hotel also has great breakfasts and free drinks at the club level. Overall, a great place to spend a week in London!

Great hotel, with radiant history. Perfectly located on Gloucester road and the station. Has many professional event halls and courteous service. Also hats off to the millennium hotel for supporting the local community.

Buyer beware! This hotel offers very low quality customer service and accommodation. The air con doesn't work in any room. The decor is very worn. The fridge is empty and not cold. Room service doesn't show up. The heated towel rails have a sign which says they do not heat. There is no fresh cooked breakfast, or good quality coffee. The waiters/waitresses don't speak English. If all the above sounds appealing then you're in for a treat. If not, then you'll be better off elsewhere.

Absolutely gorgeous hotel. Rooms are lovely & so is the breakfast, very tasty & plenty of choice. Comfortable sleep. Loved the fuffy robes to wear. Pleasant helpful staff. Definitely would stay there again, I would recommend to anyone to stay here. It's in a great spot close to tube stain for all links. What more cud you want. We went to see Phil Collins at The Royal Albert Hall. Such a lovely wknd & great hotel. We upgraded to club room but didn't know about club lounge tho so think we missed out on something special.

It was very clean and the staff were very helpful. Very close to the main metro lines Piccadilly District Circus lines.

Ask to see rooms you could be assigned a double with a bed from a half square.

Classic English Hotel. Good rooms and nice staff I was a guest at this hotel in December 2010 thanks to a competition won with radio sound size.

That hotel is amazing but the toilets are very dirty.

Was amazing hello for me, by all staff I met, I felt home. Me and my colleague culturals presenters from Yemen, enjoyed staying there as students, we engaged in many conversations that influenced our stay and enjoying the city of London.

Terrible state of repair, cracked, scratched bathroom tiles, cabinets with broken handles and shelves. The carpet was stained with what looked like bleach and it had the black stains that come with significant years of wear. The Wi-Fi was prohibitively expensive and in 2014, really should be free. There's a starbucks opposite the tube station on the corner so don't bother paying the extra. The cleaning staff do their job well as the beds and towels etc were very clean. There's only so much they can do with the aging decor. Avoid this place, plenty of others to chose from.

Disappointing day delegate catering experience. Staff were snappy, rather than explaining what was on the lunch menu they pointed at the small menus tucked between the raised chaffing dishes (so not easily seen or read). The meeting room wasn't cleared down after lunch despite the fact that it was left empty for an hour and the water glasses were reset so it seems bizarre that these were left. Only sweet, sugary snacks were available throughout the day, no healthy or sugar-free option and the mid-morning muffins were small and under-risen in their cases. The breakfast pastries were a bit dry too. As far as the venue if concerned, the decor is dated with chintzy chairs and carpet and totally over the top chandeliers everywhere, obviously an attempt to distract from the fact there are no windows in the Orchid room.

Was pretty good nice and friendly staff with do with some small improvements they charged 10 quid for 24hr Wi-Fi which didn't even work NICE ONE! Could do with some different dishes for the breakfast.

This hotel has beautiful facilities and is located just a minute's walk from the Gloucester Tube Stop. Despite the posh atmosphere — there is no free Wi-fi, a crime for such an expensive hotel in my opinion. Also, I am disappointed to say my bag was stolen in the hotel bar. That being said, I was very pleased with the hotel staff and the way they dealt with the situation.

Good location. Cleaning of rooms could be better. Wi-Fi policy annoying — should be included in room rates.
