Staff are helpful, breakfast as filling as you want, and it's well positioned, but some of the rooms are tiny, so make sure you get a larger room.

The hotel is located near the train station, about 5 minutes away. There are several places to eat and on the corner there a super market. The hotel is something old but that's how everyone looks, the rooms are small compared to those in the United States. The hotel does not have air conditioning that luxury are only found in few hotels. If you arrive early you can leave your luggage.

About a two minute walk from Earl's Court station. Was greeted by a very friendly and helpful receptionist. Upon entering the room, it was decently clean, though the decor could be updated. Every thing worked well except for the shower drain which was extremely slow draining the water. Checking out the next day was painless. They allowed us to leave our luggage at the reception's office while we checked out the town before our next flight which was a few hours later.

Basic accommodation. Staff were friendly and helpful so no complaints there. Location good too. But rooms were small and bathrooms tiny.

If its placement has Earls Court is very nice and offers a nice setting the hotel when to it is a banality. The spring bedding already seen far too much customer and cleanliness leaves to be desired.
However the hotel is suitable for a week-end stay.

Brilliant hotel with incredibly kind and attentive staff, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will be back soon, it was great value for money, and the bed was super comfy.

Cheap and cheerful, didn’t realize I had booked a single room without a toilet, only a super small shower with toilet down the hall and down the stairs. But clean-ish with good Wi-Fi and friendly staff.

We arrived late at night and I was shocked when we opened the room door of room 106. The room was only slightly broader than the bed. It was almost impossible to move or to find a place to open the suitcase beside on the bed. The bed was hard as a rock and the matrace very old and uncomfortable. The walls are as thin as paper and we heard a man snoring next door as if he was lying next to us. Moreover the room is close to the loud elevator. We did not sleep for a minute that night since it was so noisy. We complaint in the morning and moved to another room in Second Floor. I think this was one of the rooms that all of the good recommendations result from. It was okay for sleeping. We checked out early the next day and switched hotels.

I stayed here during a week-long vacation to London and I was pleased with all. I got in 7 hours before check-in, and found my room was ready which was a huge relief! I got the single room with a private bath. Yes, the room was small but who spends a bunch of time in a hotel room in London?. The room was made everyday very nicely. I didn’t try the tea in the room because there were plenty of coffee and bread shops within 2 blocks of this hotel. Also, being right next to the Piccadilly Line made getting anywhere in the city super easy all week. I will definitely recommend this place and I’ll be coming back to stay.

In case you arrive before the time of arrival they allow you to leave your suitcase and have a bath in reception where if you like to change you can do it, it has a shop steps from the hotel and the subway station to half a block, an almost close to the hotel, KFC, McDonalds and many more very close to the hotel.

The room was clean and the breakfast was very nice. The best is its ideal location very close to the subway and in a neighborhood with options to eat and have breakfast, Bokado is a good place to eat.

3 * Stars for a 3 * hotel rooms are small and rustic. Bathroom or room in itself could be refurbished windows are leaking. Hairdryer not available. W-Lan is good and stable. Breakfast is sufficient and you are fed up. (Continental breakfast) Service is consistently positive and nice. Easy access to the tube. Shopping facilities and restaurants in the immediate vicinity. Recommended for a city trip.

It's a basic hotel. We were in room 601 if I'm not mistaken, almost a subscale. Very small, not to mention the bathroom with the sink really unusable for the reduced size. However in the room there was a kettle and coffee always available, the cleanliness was discreet and the reception staff unexceptionable, very helpful to provide information and to make you comfortable. Convenient to the underground station of Earl's Court, in a central area s close to typical restaurants, English pubs, fast food and market. Recommended yes, but not to the comodists.

Great location! Only a minute long walk to Earl's Court. + Friendly staff. + Good rooms for the price. A little tired looking and a bit small, but has all the essentials. + Rooms are serviced daily. + Free Wi-Fi — Because it's so close to the tube station/a busy street it can be quite noisy at night. — Walls are a little thin. You can hear the other guests quite audibly. All-in-all you get your money's worth. If I'm in the area again, I'd be happy to book at Lord Jim's.

Good location. Nearby Metro. Very friendly staff. We stayed in a dwarf triple room, we couldn't move.

Comfortable bed, nice warm shower but drainage problem and an annoying curtain that tries to hug your body whilst showering. Lovely big bath towels provided but no hand towels. No air con but windows that open however there was a lot of noise from cats. No hairdryer in room, I expect you need to ask. Similarly ironing board. Very clean and was not too noisy. Lift is a bit clanky. A comfortable budget hotel.

This place is suitable to stay for sleeping. Typical London, places are very tiny. It was very clean, well kept and have helpful friendly staff.

The neighborhood was very nice and convenient to the train. The outside is attractive. The rooms were super small and the bathrooms are so small you can not even turn around in. The rooms had a very old and wet smell.

We stopped at the family room on the third floor. The room was small but cozy with two twin beds and one double bed. The breakfast was delicious. The washroom was inside the room. Very close to the subway station Earl's Court.

Clean rooms, beds not very comfortable, elevator with written out but used by the staff, no recreational space outside of the rooms.

Location is fantastic and the price was reasonable. Just off the main road in Earls Court with the Tube station just around the corner. Easy trip into downtown without the crowds. Several nice pubs, two small grocery stores, and a laundromat also nearby. Room was quite adequate, but the mattresses were pretty uncomfortable. Renovated bathroom was very nice and clean. Front desk staff were helpful in giving directions and calling a taxi. Lots of similar types of lodging on Penywern Road, Lord Jim seemed to be middle-grade quality. If the mattresses were replaced we would definitely stay here again.

Very small rooms, but they do the job, had a room by the elevator so was quite noisy. Facilities are adequate although the ironing board provided is laughably small to the point of it being child sized.

We had 4 days in the "August in the Lord JIm hotel and had booked a 3-bed room which was then unavailable on the day of arrival. We had to dodge on a single and a double room located in the basement. The rooms are extremely small. The double room we have claimed after the first night because the window does not open read and it was so stuffy, that we have not slept half the night. The bathroom with WC had total 2 m2! The carpet in the room before the bath was totally wet — just a disaster. In the complaint, we were treated very unfreundich, got a room on the ground floor but after a long back and forth. This room was slightly larger, the front door read but also not quite open, as the beds have adjusted it. The breakfast was very simple, coffee from the vending machine, butter, jam, Nutella and cheese. Toast, white Brödchen and croissant. Every day the same, salt was none available, then we've got a bag of Mc Donald. Also the breakfast room in the basement is much too small, very stuffy, man must confront on a table to meet so breakfast quickly do because the next already waiting. We can not recommend this hotel all in all.

Good location, nice and quiet Avenue. Good proximity to the tube. We had a triple room and a double room small, bathroom small and dark, max 1 towel per person. This goes only for overnight use, shower bane.

The hotel sreni. Documents are processed quickly. We took Pascal, was friendly and pleasant to talk to. Other employees at the front Desk is also friendly enough. Linen seems to be clean. Cons: the rooms are small, and not everywhere has a toilet. Bedbugs in the room?! In General, the ratio price/quality is good. Breakfast is moderately good.
