Okay, I upping my review from 2 to 3 stars (it's okay), I had already booked up for several visits and it's seems I'd been given the worst room on the first occasion. The latest couple of rooms I've had have been in better condition. Though they really need to sort that first room out, it's really decrepit! Original review: It's bearly passable, everything works and cleanliness is okay but the rooms look very dated and like they've not been painted in years and the carpet is very thin low quality with strange bumps underneath. I think it's time the rooms were all upgraded decoration wise. Also there aren't enough bathrooms in the building that I'm in. I've stayed in LSE's other halls and they're much better. However, the breakfast and the location are both good.

Friendly people and very well organised, rooms are clean and tidy, good opportunities for students to accommodate.

Main thing is the low price (for London) and location which is good. Breakfast was great. Apart from that though not so great. Room was very worn. 2 of the 3 showers on the floor was out of order. Bed (single) was comfortable enough.

Clean and tidy. Was in London for 1 night, rooms are basic but suitable for a 1 night stay in London. Considering breakfast was included it must be the best value accommodation in London.

Budget accommodation — no frills but very convenient location next to Old Finsbury Town Hall and just down from Sandler's Wells theatre. The room is very small with 2 beds jammed in for a single occupant; my room was 2nd floor and had single glazing so traffic and sirens were VERY loud — take earplugs to get a good night's sleep! Toilets/showers are communal rather than ensuite. Breakfast is all you can eat buffet style with a helpful allergen guide — it's possible to eat gluten — and dairy — free but don't expect a wide selection. I saw someone filling up a tupperware tub and no-one batted an eyelid so you could probably cover your lunch too!

Room rate is normal, nearby buses are very much to sightseeing spots, downstairs restaurant is quite delicious, and can take a lot (photo is a single ya room) in winter, the dining room is cold and not warm enough.

Clean, very affordable price for the location. Breakfast was excellent with good vegetarian options. Shared bathroom was the only downside.

Liked it very much. It's a schoolhome for students. It not new or fancy but has a nice atmosphere. Breakfast is huge. It can be a bit tricky to get to the nearest underground (Angel) from the other stations.

I always stay here when I'm in London. Great place and wonderful staff. My favourite Student accommodation in the area. Easy to get to Shoreditch and a Addison lee taxi is only £10 from euston. But it's close enough to walk from station if you want to save money. Great breakfast. Good showers, Wi-Fi and free luggage storage. Pool tables.

The rooms were tidy, clean and spacious. The shared bathroom was clean and well suited. It's perfect for solo travelers looking for an affordable stay and it's close to everything around London. 45 GBP/night + Breakfast.

A very good dorm for students to stay in. Very close to most of the places in central London. Very good places to eat in the vicinity. Breakfast is included in the dorm. All kinds of rooms are available based on your budget. Laundry room, TV room, Computer room, Dining Hall, Recreation room, kitchen all are available.

I went to visit my friend staying there. The building itself is beautiful and there are 2 kitchens available. The rooms itself is good and the cleaning crew comes by to clean periodically. There is a lounge area with a pool table where people hangout.

Excellent stay, good room, breakfast plentiful and varied good home.

Very basic university co ed dorm. Beds were good, room was clean, could have been better decorated but it is student digs! Shared showers and loo, I was taken back to my student days. Breakfast was very good and included in the price!

Stayed here during a week long course. Great amenities, and not too far a walk from the station. Shared bathrooms are very clean, and rooms well maintained. Good breakfast in the cafe too.

It was an enjoyable stay. The brunette receptionist was exceptionally friendly. She was very helpful with my queries. Although the room was a bit small, the location was great.

The location is excellent, but the rooms and breakfasts are extremely mediocre to poor. The room was small and damp, and the beds were simple metal camp beds. I certainly wouldn't recommend this for luxury. The front desk was friendly, and so were the cooking staff, but fundamentally you're in a really dated student halls and can get a lot more for your money at even budget hotels.

Perfect to see London! Super clean, breakfast amazing and very well located.

Super staff & atmosphere!

During the summer months you can stay in the residence halls which function as a B&B. The rooms are clean and furnished as you would expect. There are shared bathroom and shower faculties but there seem to be plenty to go round. The breakfast is nothing special but there are plenty of options. Overall, for the price and location, you can't beat the deal!

Breakfast and price good for the location and private rooms. Bathrooms could have been cleaner and better sign posted.

Rooms moderately sized. Location is far from central London. Fun basement. I didn't stay overnight.

It was below expectation for the price… extremely limited furniture and only one plug socket.

Hotel a bit far from the metro, but not bad at all. I don't remember very clean, not that it was dirty but if you don't have that clean feeling when you enter a hotel room.

Worked/lived here for two years from 2010-2012. Love all my students & colleagues I met and worked with here. So many stories, so many good friends, and so many happy memories from this place! :-)

Nice catered hall, subsidised for LSE students so affordable for a nicely located accommodation in inner London. There is a computer room, it's convenient.
