I don't know what the rooms look like here. Or what the rates are. I was employed here as trainee at front of desk last year. But I left after 1 days shift/ walked away. My reasons : * being asked personal questions upon interview by the manager * some staff are ok but some staff are not * staff are not that helpful * being the only female staff at front and then overheard something whilst they were near me. Basically I was "hired" because they needed a woman at front that's "good looking and attract customers " * was not introduced or shown around. I was just thrown in. So I had to go up to staff or some would greet me. * did not feel like I got to do much or learn much * the Indian male at front desk swas horrible to a customer — who had made an error with a booking and when it was pointed out. The front man said to customer he would have to email or phone the company he booked it through. The customer didn't have good English as he seemed European. I wasn't happy the way the staff were with the customer and telling him he'd have to pay for his mistake. I was like to the male staff can't you help him in any way? Only then did that staff member try ring up and try solve the problem. They definetly need to improve or there won't be many customers left and looking at some of the reviews here, I think you're better off at a proper hotel such as a Premier Inn or Travelodge where the beds are nice and so is customer service as I have seen this myself as I've stayed sometimes at a Premier Inn. Recently came across and tried easyHotel which is also good if you're on a budget and not fussy but it's decent and clean. Prices are around £25-35+if you book online or around 40+ If you book in person. Only thing — there was no blanket and I didn't know till saw a note they charge for it so instead I used my coat but I didn't mind. ** ALSO it's much better and cheaper for you if you book any room at any hotel well in advance. Like a week/2/3 weeks in advance. When I try Premier inn in advance I get quoted £52-60+. Guess it depends on the area too.
