The pub has changed ownership and the tapas are DELICIOUS! Highly recommend and they have a great terrace at the back.

Fabulous owners, gorgeous old/new pub and very comfy and secure rooms above the pub itself. Susi and Tom are wonderful, very very polite and coped extremely well with a small birthday party, just one day after Covid restrictions had been lifted (18bMay). 💯 recommend the. Pub and accommodation.

It’s a lovely pub with a very good landlord that has the bonus feature of a very good food menu. It IS a bit up itself, food-wise, but the kitchen is a good one.

The Captain Cook is a lovely pub with friendly, helpful staff and very nice food. We went there for a 50th birthday party, and they gave us a lovely buffet including vegetarian food. The pub's major disadvantage is the lack of an accessible toilet. This makes it needlessly difficult for wheelchair users to spend time there, and could (and should) be remedied.

Celebrated a friend's 50th here and it was great. The staff could not do enough — excellent and the food was great. I would definitely recommend the Captain Cook.

The food it actually the BEST in Fulham. Yes. Do try it, just wow, time and time again. And good drinks and staff. But the food sets the bar high.

Amiable staff, delicious food, delightful pub decor. The room was beautiful, clean, airy, spacious, relaxing and had a fun theme. Same goes for the bathroom. The hotel has great Wi-Fi, European adapters included in the room. It's located in a nice area, the locals are kind, and it's easy to find. I absolutely loved it.

The private bathroom was down the hall, which was a little odd. I don't think any of the other rooms have bathrooms, so be aware. The room itself was great though.

This place looks AMAZING! When I was an exchange student in London in 2012-2013 my wife and I lived in the this building in the room with the fire place, which looked nothing like it does not. I am SO IMPRESSED with what the owner did with this place that I'm tempted to come back from Japan just to stay in the old room so I can at least have one good experience in this place. When I was there the pub was closed for "water issues", my room leaked, there were rats, and the manager was a disgusting criminal. Kudos to whoever took over this facility and now has taken advantage of the potential it possesses. Great job!

Very nice pub with good choice of food and drinks. Very friendly and accommodating staff. We also stayed overnight here in the rooms upstairs — very comfortable rooms with en suite toilet/shower room. Tea and coffee facilities provided. No air conditioning but there was a fan in the room and with the windows open it was a comfortable temperature even during the heat wave! Would stay here again, thank you!

We stayed the night for 3 days, and the experience was great overall. We arrived to very clean and large room with great decorations. The coffee and tea was fully filled out, so you won't be running out anytime soon. The staff was also really nice, showed us the room and treated us very well when we ate downstairs in the pub. Great fish and chips by the way! Close to a bus station, so staying at the captain cook is great way to visit London for a few days.

Room was a nice size, toilet, sink and shower were separate down the hall. Service was lovely and area was very quiet. Bus from fulham Broadway doesnt take too long.

Cosy atmosphere, friendly staff and beautiful clean rooms! I can only recommend it if you want to ease your stay in London. The area has a lot to offer but you can reach central fairly easy too.

Lovely pub with great food but could do with a larger menu. The room I stayed in was a little dated, the bed was well worn in and one of the windows didn't close. I couldn't sleep due to noisy traffic. The bathroom was shared between all the rooms and there was no sink in the toilet room, you had to go to the toilet and then go into a seperate room to wash your hands. I go again for food as the chef is really good and the staff are very friendly. But I wouldn't stay again. There is also no breakfast at this hotel, you have to walk 10 minutes dow the road to a cafe where you get 10% off for staying at the captain cook but the food is disgusting.

Great drinks and food for a reasonable price. Nice seating and rarely too busy.

Great food, great service, not an extensive beer selection but by no means limited. Shows sports on big screens. Had loads of fun.

I can honestly say that at 54 years old, and having lived in London all my life, that this was the most disgusting meal that I have ever had. The chicken starter was mouldy, and the steak was so high I nearly puked. The chef was totally unrepentant and we were offered zero refund. Never again.

Decent range of draught and bottled beers and a couple of ciders on tap. Food is usually good. We went for the quiz on Sunday night and took advantage of the 2 for 1 burgers — great deal! Will go back for more.

Pretty decent pub for drinks before and after football at Fulham. Anywhere that can put up with 10 inebriated Millwall fans is okay by me.

Great food and friendly staff that were very accommodating. Close to bus stops and reasonably close to the train. Highly recommend this place to anyone. Room was quite large for London standards (we had private washroom in our room also) and has a private entrance off the pub with security camera.
The manager gave us his cell # so we could drop our luggage off until check in time (would have been allowed early check in has the room not been rented the previous night). Will stay there again next time!

Great fun. Has expresso Coffee machines in your room! Stairs a bit tight to carry bags up. But the room and coffee machine made up for this. Showers fantastic.

The Captain Cook was the first place I stayed in London. The room was great & the staff was wonderful. It helps that there is a pub with great food & beer downstairs.

Brilliant brunch deal in a cosy London boozer. Perfect for a chilled out (and tipsy) Saturday afternoon. Only thing for me was that the ketchup was in an annoying little dish… just give me the bottle!

I would recommend this pub. I would bring my family for a roast dinner as it was delicious! The staff were helpful as well as friendly. Lots of space with a big garden.

Had a great time at this inn for 4 days in London. The staff were all fantastic, the room was bright, clean, and surprisingly spacious for the price. The food downstairs is great, and definitely don't miss the live music on Saturday.

We went here with a groupon offer for bottomless brunch. We had a delicious almond croissant to start and then I had eggs royale. The free flowing bubbly was delicious and our glasses were never empty! Attentive and friendly staff too.

A really nice local pub. It's clean and tidy, well lit, and the staff are friendly. Went here to watch an early rugby game and it was busy, but not uncomfortable. The breakfast menu isn't huge, but has the expected standard English options. Good selection of beers and other drinks (the bloody Mary I had was very good).

I went to The Captain Cook for their special prosecco brunch and left having made friends and with incredible memories. Thank you Rob, Nuno, Paul, Susana and Darren for your exceptional service and for the great atmosphere created by amazing food, drink and music choices! Fantastic times! I recommend the place and the people!

Great brunch with bottomless prossecco! Excellent service and good quality food. All very reasonably priced! (Groupon deal) Location is a bit off but I can live with that.

This all. Very well. You even have a tea and coffee maker to do what you want without any cost. The restaurant is very good.

Regular pub quiz on a Sunday evening. Pleasant venue, but the food has dropped in quality recently.

Food was cold. Roast dinner was misleading as it was a stake of beef I was not asked how I liked it cooked so we thought it was slices of beef. it was raw & chewy. My daughters Vegetarian Sweet potato was rock hard inside. Then when offered an alternative. A vegie burger. She was given a whole Mushroom with something inside it. At the bottom of mushroom was what she thought was a green salad, but was a green napkin gone soft! she had been eating it!

We stayed here for 10 amazing days. You can not ask for anything better. Paul and his staff are absoluty top notch. This hotel has great rooms and the food is superb, I highly recomend eating here and having the chicken parmasean. Our room was clean and the beds are very comfortable. Its just a short bus and tube ride to everything, if you have never been to London this is the case no matter where you go so you should just say here. I give this hotel and its staff 5 stars. Thank you for helping make our trip so enjoyable.

We took a chance and booked 3 nights based on on-line reviews. We were NOT disappointed in our choice and neither will you.
Our room was very clean & comfortable, the staff at the pub were very welcoming and friendly. The food & drinks were excellent. We had 1 rainy day so we spent the afternoon in the pub enjoying appetizers, drinks and playing the assortment of board games.
If pub food is not your thing, there is a great curry take-away just a few steps from the front door of the pub, or a chippie a 5 minute walk away. Pub is located on a bus route so you can get anywhere easily.
Would highly recommend you check this spot out, you won't be disappointed.

Really nicely refurbished pub with accommodation, with captain James Cook theme. Food was excellent.

Since they have opened with the new name and management, I have tried this pub in several occasions, and I have completely opposite experiences, nice and quiet in the week days so nice to go with friends for a drink and comforting food. But avoid with the family on weekends if possible, they are very slow and every time I have been with the children, the food was either wrong or very slow. Last time we ordered the food for the kids 20 minutes earlier than the adults, and still got my main before my kids got theirs? Inspire of having a great waiter this last time, usually staff are not very helpful and sometimes borderline rude.

Really nice place. Had not been in here before so can't comment on improvements, but pub is very nice and we'll decorated. Had burger and chips on good Friday. Staff were very friendly. Date visited 25th March, 2016.

Not quite the same as when the Captain Cook was in Putney. You can still play board games and the scotch egg is amazing but no pool table and dart board of the old pub. A slightly older patronage as well.

First review ever written because the whole experience was jst amazing! Came along last Saturday evening for some food and drink and the whole night well exceeded my expectations. The live music was fantastic with a lady and her acoustic guitar. She was superb! The staff were great, friendly and very welcoming as a whole, and the food was exceptional. My girlfriend had sea bream which she said was really good, and I had a homemade burger which by all accounts was the best I think I've had. It was that good complimented with cheese and crispy bacon, I nearly ordered another! The venue generally had a nice vibe with doors open at the front to sit outside, likewise at the back for the cool little courtyard garden, and just as importantly there was a good selection of drinks and beers to choose from. Well done guys. Looking forward to coming again. Oh and thanks for the shot at the end :)

Just finished an awesome 3 course dinner at the captain cook. We came from Bristol and we don't know many good places in london. We were lucky enough to find this place. Very high quality pub dining. Everything was great! Very friendly staff, cosy atmosphere, amazing food and some really cool live music on sat night. Highly recommended. Get down there!

Visited for Sunday lunch. Although into very busy there was still some atmosphere and was nice and airy although a little chilly. Staff were friendly and relaxed. The roast beef was excellent, very tender and delicious. Yorkshires and other accompaniments were all well cooked. One comment would be that it wasn't very hot. Apple crumble desert was delicious. Downside would be the location which is slightly out of the way from the tube station and other shops, however I'd happily go again.
