A good size and fairly comfortable room. Was overlooking a main road and very close to to Finsbury Park, but hardly any noise was heard. A nice selection for the continental breakfast. A couple of minor faults though — the shower took ages to get right and the stairs were very noisy. Other than that would recommend.

We were after basic accommodation on a visit to London Close to Alexandra Palace. That is all we needed as we were only going to be sleeping there. Bed was comfy, pillows comfy. Plenty of space in the room. Small bathroom but manageable. Sure, the walls could do with a lick of paint, creaky floor boards but it didn't bother me. And we had hot water, after reading some reviews I was nervous about not having any, but it was fine! I would return if I was going to the area again!

Good location is only plus point. Room absolutely roasting and a real sweat box. Night staff dont speak English. No hot water. No lifts, about 6 flights of stairs to our sauna like roof top room. An absolute dive.

Experience not to be repeated. Floor and crumbling room.

My friend and I stayed here for nights and we never had hot water in our shower. We alerted front desk/management every night of our trip and nothing was ever done. At one point, we were simply ignored and only received a head nod from the woman in the lobby as she continued to do paperwork. Incredibly rude. There was also no AC in our room on the top floor, and as you know… heat rises. We kept our window (with no screen) open the entire stay. Also, the lifts were broken, so we had to climb up and down six flights of stairs every time we wanted to come and go into our room. I understand this is a budget hotel… but even the worst of hotels don't make you take a cold shower every night…

Near Metro but room (510) lack of bedside lamp, beds and squeaky door. Too noisy, not always easy to sleep well (because of the parquet, one has the impression that people will go into the room), walls not thick. Lacks a little cleanliness.
Breakfast level, quite a choice but it would take larger cups for tea. Orange juice not always fresh.

Near Metro bathroom small but the room was clean by cons the lobby of the hotel not too much. Dirty neighborhood.

No elevator, bathroom dwarf, no hair dryer, or lockers, or hangers, to the door of the room lefaltaban 5 inches to reach the ground. Thank God little noisy and warm.

Location is great, the room is cosy and clea, valuable but no lift in this hotel, inconvenient who living here with heavy luggage. Overall, good for stay with partner and family.

Just a trap! Please never book. That can be called "hotel" is just outrageous. From cannabis smell to smelly pillows. Just a nightmare. Immediately ran off the next day.

Good location for what we wanted, easy to get to public transport. Staff were all lovely. Only 2 complaints, 1 — The elevator wasnt working and from reading reviews it hasnt been for at least 12 months! Makes it hard with heavy suitcases going up a couple of flights of stairs. 2 — the beds didnt get made up each day.

Great budget hotel with secure parking at Finsbury Park. Very helpful staff who advised us on the phone where to park; quickly relocated us when the shower stopped working & allowed us to leave the car there during the day after we had checked out. Great value and would stay there again.

The family room was spacious and clean. Every guest had their own towels and shampoos. The included breakfast was very good, open buffet from 7 to 10 am. The beds were a bit too saggy and uncomfortable.

It was a great location and everything was so clean! We also had breakfast there and I enjoyed it very much! However I didn't like that you could hear every noise. Like people walking around in their rooms and outside my room. Except for that… It was a great experience.

Normal Nothing Estraordinario compared to what it costs.

For the price it has been nice but room service is lousy just to say we arrived and the Cleaner had peed in our room for two consecutive times.

I stayed there a few years ago but still remember that I brought to remember bites of bedbugs or fleas all over the body. I would never repeat.

Only go here is you need a bed. The Wi-Fi does not work upstairs in the bedrooms. The curtains are creased and the bathroom has rotting metal. The floor is uneven in the bedrooms and some of the channels on the TV do not work. I ended up watching QVC! The breakfast is a shambles. The building needs to be revamped. To enter the buildings car park takes the longest time. You have to press the buzzer to enter and to exit you have to put you arm through the metal gate to press the same buzzer to let you out.

My teenage son and I stayed for 3nights just after Christmas. Here are the facts witnessed for you to refer. Basic but with all necessaries, generous with toiletries and towels.   Wardrobe and bed looked shabby but clean.   Very hot water and heating like everywhere in the UK. Free and secure Parking.   Fair breakfast.   Fussfree, easy going staff.

Terrible hotel! Completely dilapidated and terrible staff who are not at all happy that you are here and you watch it well, no smile has the reception or breakfast elsewhere which is perfectly connected with the antiquated of this place not charming for such a beautiful city.
Ridiculous breakfast two chocolate buns fight in a duel. Despite its low rate and its good location we are very disappointed to stay at this hotel.

Very nice gepfelgtes hotel.
Except for a two minor defects all super. You can also wash your hands in the shower.
The room was built on a slanted one hardly noticed only the reopening drawer betrayed this Flüchtingkeitsfehler of the architect.
The receptionist seemed to have fallen right at her job.
They even explained to us in detail where we would find our room.
Overall, our stay was a very nice time.
Next year again.

Good location near the subway. Shops and supermarkets nearby.

WE were first time in your hotel and in London. I have traveled many many other countries. We are Asians. We were not treated at all by white British. We requested change of our room due to many many reasons. Not even smile. I will be never be back in this hotel. Im a CEO in Mauritius for psst 17 years. I feel discourage of UK to visit again. We do not come free. We have paid. Never ever come any Asian or black skin to this hotel again. You pay and suffer. Spend you r money for another. Tilak.

Our vacation started on a sad note when I arrived at this place. When we arrived we realized our agent had booked us into the wrong Central Park hotel from the outside appearance. Hesitantly we went in and was met with a receptionist that was not friendly. She did not have a smile on her face. When they checked us in and told us where to proceed to the room we had to climb 30 steps with suitcases. I was in tears and my husband fuming when we saw the room. The bed was a box and mattress on the floor. The sheets were discolored, curtains falling off the wall and overall disgusting. We headed back down to the reception and told them we could not stay in that room. She said that was not the original room we were supposed to get, it was switched and called to see if the house keeper had the other room ready. This now meant climbing 44 steps to get to the room. Although the room was a bit better than the original with a bed and a table I was paranoid to even sit on the bed. The place was musty and smelled foul. The floor boards in the hallways squeaked and the carpets was ragged. I inquired at the front desk for a refund and was told they could not talk to us we had to go through our agent. We had to incur long distance charges to call back to Canada with a time zone difference to get out of this situation. The room was cold and when asked if there was no heat we were told the heat was not on yet. Luckily we had a blanket in our suitcase that what we used to keep warm.

Don't count on the breakfast and don't expect much of the rooms. But the staff is really nice and helpful.

Location is not so good. Staff very polite. The bed was really uncomfortable in the first night, but they provided a change of room.

The only highlight of this hotel is the location as it is close to the inner city but the Finsbury Park area is rough and doesn't feel very safe. Even for the cheap price, you'd expect a clean room, but that is left to your imagination should you visit this hotel. Dirty rooms with hairs on floor of main room and bathroom. Low beds with average mattresses and thin stained sheets. 6 plugs on one wall yet no kettle etc. "Free Wi-Fi" doesn't work or reach further than the reception area. The lift was out of order and seems to have been that way for a long time, which wasn't an issue for myself but would be for others. Windows damaged and struggle to open/close. Uneven floor and thus uneven beds. Greeted by a rude receptionist who asked irrelevant questions and made for a dragged out check in although other staff seemed friendlier. I'd recommend this hotel only as a last resort.

Not a nice place to stay, location is about its only saviour, and I suppose the bed was comfortable enough. The Wi-Fi is not strong enough to use at all, so may as well not advertise it. Almost everything was dirty and/or broken in the room, including bathroom taps and even the floor. The toilet barely flushed and the shower was dirty and powerless. The whole place clearly isn't maintained or cleaned to any acceptable standard. The worst was the long black hairs that were everywhere, on our floors, beds, shower, taps, walls, mirrors, towels, and disgustingly ourselves after using the towels. I came to the conclusion that obviously nobody cared enough to clean the rooms, as frankly a child could have done a better job.

The hotel is not bad. The people at the front desk are friendly and helpful but there is no air conditioning or Wi-Fi in the rooms and the area where it is is very dangerous!
We arrived just when there was a festival nearby and it was crowded with people drinking, smoking and screaming outside the hotel and across the street. Impossible to sleep.

Friendly and helpful staff. Decent breakfast and a very clean environment. Handy for the tubes to the West end. Great budget hotel.

Very small rooms, no elevator so you have to climb your suitcases down a rather uncomfortable and noisy stairs. Wi-Fi is a lie. If you want Internet you should go to the hotel reception. That's why there's always people there. To end the deal on the part of the hotel staff is lousy. I do not recommend it at all, look for another besieged even a little more expensive.

Wi-Fi are in the lobby, very small bathroom with dirty towels of unidentified spots. Too much noise in the night (slamming doors, floors creaking at all hours). Stained mattresses. Very poor breakfast (bread, butter, cooked ham of dubious provenance). Staff not very friendly. The bright side? The area is well served by the means.

Wi-Fi only in the atrium… arrived at 22:30 with an absurd desire to take a hot shower… only problem… there is no hot water:… toilet flush broken… Staff response? Tomorrow we see what to do… breakfast… nn talk… rather than go back there I put a tent in the park…

It was there in 2012. The location is very good. Neighborhood a little scary, not very neat. The hotel is the same. It's probably some kind of family business. The rooms are clean, of course. If you're a student or just a so person, you'll enjoy it.

What they told are not the same as it is.

A good room empty. Which remind me of a hospital room. Without a soul, no decoration. Clean but empty. In the bathroom, nothing to put his stuff, not even a rest towels. Toilets are glues to the sink. In the bedroom, very thin curtains, which let the light of day. No bedside table, apart from the main light fill light which lights at the entrance to the room. Two chairs. No closet, just two rows of hangers placed just in front of a small mirror. Practice. Home more frosty at the front desk, I asked for help booking a restaurant and was cordially invited to use the public phone. In the words of the receptionist, all rooms are identical. All without elevator, nice when we have to get her suitcase on the third.
Avoid.

Very good hotel, cheap, clean, great location, breakfast was average but adequate. There are shops nearby, the bus night that goes to the heart of London just down the hotel or the subway which is about a 10 min walk.

Friendly staff. Nice clean hotel. Towels and toiletries provided. Hallways could do with a lick of paint and a new carpet but don't let this put you off the rooms. Room was spotlessly clean, we stayed for 2 nights in December 2013 and fresh towels were provided for both days. If you want luxury then try elsewhere, if you want a clean place to rest your head which is value for money, then look no further. Self service continental breakfast buffet was lovely. 4 mins walk to tube station, loads of halal places to eat less than 3 mins walk away, cafes and fish and chips and tesco metro 2 mins walk away. Will return with children and would recommend this hotel to everyone.

Let us be clear. If a person doesn't want to spend that much. That's the place to be. Absolutely right. Rooms in fact. With parquet not at both. Bathrooms so and so. Not shown x people complicated. C finsbury park tube station is very close. The buses even more close. I c I would.
