Reviews of St Giles London - A St Giles Hotel 3*
I have stayed at this hotel many times and found it to be ok. Lots of room options the more you spend the bigger the room and more facilities. Always good value. Very near the underground. Plenty of shops and places to snack/eat/drink. Never had any problems. Good standard hotel. Book direct for better prices and room options. You will enjoy London. Plan ahead there is so much to see and do.
We don't do marmalade I was sharply told at breakfast! Really in an English Hotel serving an English breakfast. Small things make a good hotel. Rooms stiflingly hot. Hotel must have been a YMCA in the past? Great location and most of the staff pleasant. I know you pay for what you get but it really could be turned into a good hotel with attention from management.
Really enjoyed out stay here. Didn't know what to expect as I've never stayed in central London before, but they exceeded my expectations. The reception is huge, with plenty of people attending and a great concierge where you can leave your bag and go back out before checking in and after checking out. They have a 24 hour restaurant, I didn't go in but the menu looked good. The rooms were lovely, great views, cold air con and really modern. Would definitely return.
The hotel has 3 stars! Everything is perfect. Good location, the metro is reached in 2 minutes. The rooms are okay for this price. It has a great bar and a 24 hour restaurant that cooks cheap and well. A bakery is also nearby where you can have a delicious breakfast. I can only recommend the Hotel St. Giles!
Very decent for a budget hotel. It is well located relative to the main attractions. Enjoyed the early breakfast.
The staff is beyond praise. Special thanks to Elise, who is 02.07.18 helped to correct the flaws of the reservation and convey the meaning of the necessary information to non-speakers of any other language, except Russian, bikers.
Actually a really nice hotel situated in central London area very close to tube and Oxford Street, 10 minute walk to Leicester Square. Breakfast is great and eat all you want from a vast array. Pub in lobby has a good feel and does really good meals. The separate restaurant leaves a bit to be desired though and can't recommend that. You can leave luggage for a £1 per item for the day on checkout. No Aircon and can't leave windows open due to noise, but silent when closed.
Good place breakfast simple but sufficient room rather small but functional restaurant on site arrival and start fast only Bemol too waiting for the elevators.
Ideally located, right next to Tottenham short station, with three restaurants in the hotel, including a 24/24, shops of facilities right in front, pharmacy, small supermarket, bakery, … to be worn from SOHO… to advise.

The hotel's location is perfect! With Oxford street just around the corner, the British Museum a few minutes' walk away etc. The corridors to the rooms were a little confusing at first (got lost the first time I went from my room to the elevators, nothing serious though), but after that it was very easy to find the right way. The entrance/doors to the rooms were also quite narrow but other than that, everything was excellent. The beds were so comfortable, the breakfast was great, the service was very good and the staff easy to talk to. Furthermore, at the hotel there's also a restaurant which is open 24/7 (I think) and a casino, which I sadly did not go to. On the other hand, I did try out the swimming pool, the sauna, the steaming room and the gym (which is big and on two floors — if I remember correctly). As a former swimmer, I really liked the pool area with a 25m pool and heated water. Overall, from my experience, I really recommend this hotel.
So it's not terrible, but it's not great either. The rooms are pretty small, but that's a European thing. There's a million stairs for everything if you can't use the escalator. The breakfast is average to slightly above average. But the main thing that's making me say 3 instead of 4 is the fact that the rooms are hot. Forget about the A/C. It's ineffective, just sleep in sweat at night. Oh, and there's no outlets inside the bathroom. They are inconveniently located in your tiny bedroom. Other than that, it's good.
The location of this establishment is outstanding. Next to Tottenham court road and Oxford street. The hotel itself is quite basic and the rooms are small. Upgrade to deluxe, it's an essential for staying here. Also, the desk staff is very helpful. Service is quite good! May have some ques…
Very large Hotel, offers a wide choice for breakfast with typical English dishes. Rooms not particularly large but comfortable. It is located near Soho which allows you to reach venues and restaurants for the evening with a 5 minute walk.

Well located hotel for sightseeing, close to the Tottenham Court Metro, close to Oxford Street and soHo. Friendly staff, available and adapts to French tourists.
The rooms are comfortable, the bathroom is sufficient.
No negative points.
Perfect location for shopping, theatre and transport elsewhere. Stayed for a trip to see Harry Potter and The Cursed Child. Loved it. Staff at hotel were friendly. Good atmosphere in the lobby. Restaurant and bar looked good although we did not try them. Room was decent size although there was only one bath towel for 2 of us staying in the room. They did send another few towels to our room when asked, although one of them was stained/mouldy.
The only good thing about this hotel is the location. The attention is terrible, they show and offer rooms whose size and aesthetics are enganosas for their guests. I booked a large room but when I went, I got a very small room, uncomfortable to put the suitcases and the worst of all dirty. A mess.
It saves the great location to visit the centre of London even on foot… For the rest it is an English hotel… We were on the 4th floor, 2 adults a little girl. Small room. Wifi is slow and not always working. Friendly and helpful Staff.
Overall clean. Very helpful concierge. Those who are not at breakfast time have to expect waiting times. Typical tourist hotel.
Still nice — although they have already come in the years. Staff very friendly! Central location ideal for shopping, going out u great public connection to the airport.
Staff very friendly, efficient, room optimal but no more. Very good location. Offers various services.
Good location, very nice hotel.
Last week I was on vacation in London and I stayed at this hotel. The rooms are claustrophobic and the hall smells weird. But this is not the worst. On my third day at the hotel, while waiting to take the lift (which by the way takes a lot), a girl (staying at the hotel, alone without her parents) violently opened an emergency door (which opens outwards) hitting me head. It is necessary to emphasize, that the door by the part in that I was not counted on any type of signaling. Due to the hit my right eyebrow split, the ambulance had to come and I had to go to the hospital. As I could walk, they told me that the ambulance did not take me to the hospital therefore I should take a taxi or walk. The hotel did not want to take responsibility for anything (although the accident was at their hotel, with one of its doors badly marked and because of an unguarded girl housed in it). We called a taxi to go to the hospital, and the hotel did not even pay the taxi. Once in the hospital (and after waiting 4 hours) they put 7 points in my eyebrow.
I do not intend to return to this hotel anymore, not for the money, but for the lack of compassion and help. Thanks to your hotel, my holidays were ruined and also the next week due to I have to go several times to remove the stitches due to the length of the cut.
Very well located in the hypercenter of London, it is almost possible to make all the tourist attractions on foot. Close to shopping and transportation. The rooms are small but ample enough, the hotel is clean and the staff courteous.
I have stayed a 3 times at this hotel for work reasons. It was my favorite hotel, by location. The beds are not the most comfortable in the world and the small rooms, but it is correct and the breakfast rich and abundant.
Cleaning. Friendliness. Elegance. A little noisy the rooms. Good breakfast possibility to book events and attractions in the city, directly at the reception.
The hotel is located in the immediate vicinity of Oxford Street, right in the center, 100m is also a supermarket. Rooms without infamy or praise, quite clean and with very simple furnishings. Breakfast is not included in the room rate but it is plentiful and obviously in perfect English style. Overall good accommodation. Personally it allowed me to walk to the London Transport Museum.
Full central London and the thing is fantastic! Rooms a little small, but equipped, reviewable organization. Nice bathroom, but room quite cold (there was a stove to stick to a slightly dangling outlet). Nice public areas. Not really cheap.
PLUS: Perfect location. Walking distance to British Museum, West End, Chinatown, Soho, Oxford Street and more. Many pubs and restaurants nearby. PLUS: Hotel staff were very friendly. A small problem we had with the room plumbing was fixed within an hour. PLUS: Price was reasonable for a hotel in central London. MINUS: Hotel room was relatively small. Heating was produced by noisy air conditioning. There was no heating to the bathroom.
A very good hotel with excellent facilities. Our room was clean and comfortable. Extremely reasonable rates for room and food and drink. A great selection of restaurants and bars within the hotel. First rate staff. Friendly and helpful. Great location for many attractions. Theatres. Museums. And night life. Our first time here and we shall definitely stay again. We could not fault it in any way. Highly recommended.
Location is good. Room was a little dated. Staff were friendly. Edit: I stayed with work who were paying for it. When I arrived I was informed that the room hadn't been paid for. I arrived at about half 5 on a Sunday evening so I couldn't contact work to sort and was informed that the reservations team went at 5pm. I therefore had to hold the money on my personal card which was slightly inconvenient. I contacted work the next day and they sorted it and paid the room. However my card was still charged AND there were two pending transactions from the hotel. Whilst this is now sorted I feel that I will not be staying with this company again.
Good hotel. The amazing truth the price I had for the location as we were a. 15 minutes walk from central London.
I would recommend it and would stay again as I find that price at that location is impossible.
The rooms are small the bed and little else. Every room has its toilet which in London is already enough.
Inside the hallways and rooms are average don't expect great luxuries.
On the other hand the reception, my English is not very good and did not understand me lacked kindness…
However if pluck good offer is a recommended hotel as in London be well located and well connected with the Metro (there is a stop to two cslles, 3 min. Walking) is fundamental.
Good location but old hotel and not top service.
From the lobby this place LOOKS amazing, nice bar, casino, huge gym, 24 hour diner and then you go to the elevators. On our floor they had electrical tape holding flooring down walking towards our room. We got 2 singles, and they were smaller than singles I’m used to. The room is much smaller than they show in their pictures and they don’t seem to have seen a serious renovation since the 60s. Only 2 outlets on the vanity for the whole room! None in the bathroom. We could hear everything outside our room, down the hall at the elevators. The pillows were lumpy and old. The comforter on the bed was a warm winter one which was nice, but that doesn’t make up for everything else these rooms lack. Really disappointed, would never stay again. But I would visit all their additional facilities.
I studied a few years ago and the experience was superb. The classes and the residence where we stayed just above them. I would return without hesitation.
Excellent location just meters from Oxford Street and tunnel station. Comfortable and clean rooms. Good breakfast to start a day of walks in the beautiful city of London. Recommended.
Finding a good pork belly is not easy. I've been to many pubs where the slab of meat presented on a plate to me is dry and chewy. At Hudson House, they have it done very well. Moist, and good balance of lean and fat. The crackling on top was pretty good too. The portion size is on the big side and I felt rather stuffed afterwards!
Nice hotel and very good welcome the rooms are. Own Restaurant Pool Casino spa available. Ideally located I recommend.
Excellent location. Full breakfast and very rich. Clean. Various services. Correct but small rooms like all over London.
A great hotel with a good price — performance ratio. I can only recommend it.
It is a place where there are many people always (not to be quiet). The good part is that it is very central and everything is close. The rooms are small but you have what it takes to have a good stay.
Small rooms, great service and in the middle of the city!
Great in everything! Very nice staff. Small but cosy room with very comfortable bed and superb view of the "London Eye" (12th floor) functional and clean bathroom. Ample enough just to sleep when you leave all day on a trip to London very well located in relation to everything, access by Metro/bus and even on foot! The only downside is the Sage & Chili restaurant which is rather a canteen in terms of the quality of the kitchen, just good for breakfasts. Otherwise I recommend vivementNous will definitely go back to the next London Trip…
Was very impressed with the friendly and helpful staff here. Rooms a little on the small side but clean and tidy. If looking for a very reasonably priced place to crash whilst in Town then this place is ideal. Will definitely use again.
Very helpful staff. Room lovely clean and modern. Great have bath and a soak. Excellent location. The room was little warm but today is mild for winter. Would Def stay again. Don't be put off by outside its very smart inside Mich frim Surrey.
It leaves a lot, much to be desired. The walls are paper, it does not matter that you put the "Do Not Disturb" sign because if the room next door has not put it, you find out what they call at your doorstep at seven in the morning, the questionable cleaning, the toilet glasses were clean at the beginning D E century. The person who greets you for breakfast lacks absolute education, but pretends with a smile, not an old hotel, it's an old hotel. The bed has buns everywhere, as one lifts, the other has to be careful not to get out rolling… The service room, does not exist, despite what you put in the brochure… Let's go. For us, the opposite of what we expected. But we had a great in the city! London absolutely recommended. The Hotel St. Giles, I'm afraid not…
Excellent location, but it is a very large hotel, receives many people and lose certain details, such as getting your bags when you return at 5 Porq was not the room available.
Very good location C is its more. Reception redone. Our fourth stay in this host. Bravo the reception that satisfied our requests. View from the room.
Very clean but rooms were really small and paper thin walls. Watch your head on the wall lights. Very noisy, inconsiderate guests so not much sleep BUT the reason for 4* is the staff/atmosphere in Hudson's House bar in the hotel; absolutely fantastic! Food was really excellent, portions really good value for money especially the pre theatre offer. Staff constantly clearing, watching the floor etc. Very pleasant experience. Would definitely eat there again but would request an upgrade on the room.
I have valued with 4 stars because it is a very well located hotel. You have a subway. Collective. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Good breakfast. Security in the rooms. Although they are small but comfortable. I would stay at that hotel again on a next trip.
We stayed at St Giles Hotel in September/2016. It was three nights and we really appreciated the staff's manner with us. The staff were very helpful and friendly all the time of our stayed. The room was nice and clean included the bathroom. The location is great as you can get the tube two minutes walking from the hotel. Of course, it's not a five-star hotel, therefore it's corresponded out expectations and we have a great time there. If you want to stay nearby town, I highly recommend the hotel.
Very good location The rooms are small but clean. It doesn't have good air conditioning. But you fix one. If you are not demanding.
We stayed at the St. Giles for several nights while on our honeymoon in London. The lobby and restaurant were pretty, clean, and nice decorated. The hallways to the rooms were a bit more rundown looking and not as clean, which gave me pause, but who spends time in the hallway anyway? The room was small, but not unreasonable for London, and the bathroom, while small, was larger than I expected. The room was very clean and nicely appointed. It wasn't especially fancy, but we weren't there to spend time in the room. There was no air conditioning, but we stayed very comfortable during the unusually warm October weather by cracking the window at night. The staff was reasonably friendly and helpful. The St. Giles is conveniently located within walking distance of several tube stops, as well as a variety of pubs, restaurants, and theaters. Would stay again.
The double room is small but meets, you do not have a fridge and some rooms have Air conditioning. In my case, the room I got on the second floor, had an air conditioner that was part of the connections, tubes and other without connecting. In addition, I found a mouse that toured across the room from under the bed until the gap between the table and the wall. I was offered a change of room on the eighth floor, which is not Air-conditioned and the bathroom was much smaller. The beds are very soft and of small length, mido 1, 80 and I am at the limit. The soundproofing is bad, you hear everything from the street and hallway. The gym and pool are paid for by 5 pounds. For my part, avoid this hotel.

In my case, the room I got on the second floor, had an air conditioner that had part of the connections, pipes and other unconnected. On top of that, I found a mouse that traversed the entire room from under the bed to the gap between the table and the wall.

For my part, avoid this hotel.
The best location. Very friendly staff. The breakfast buffet was good. The room, on the 1st floor, small and the bathroom tiny. The noise from the street quite annoying. The cleanliness is better.
We've just stayed at St Giles hotel, and as I had stayed there before I knew it was just what we wanted. The hotel was clean, the staff were very nice and helpful, and I really couldn't complain about anything. It was busy, but that was a good sign as far as I am concerned. It was good value for money, the rooms were not enormous, but they were clean and all that we needed was there, — kettle, coffee, tea, hairdryer, TV. I would certainly go back again, and would have no problem recommending it to others.
Great central location. Easy access to tube station. Very courteous and efficient staff. Nice restaurants within hotel. Very pleased. Will stay there on our next trip.
We booked a Deluxe room and it wasn't big enough to swing a cat in. It did have a 'separate seating area' which was odd and wasn't somewhere I'd want to relax in. The shower room was tiny. Ended up speaking to Reception, who are really pleasant, and asked to see a standard room. They are miles better, no silly seating area and you could actually walk around the bed. Shower Room still tiny, but hey ho, you get what you pay for. All in all, if you're just here for a quick trip to London and won't be spending loads orb time in your room, don't bother going Deluxe.
Lobby was very nice and modern looking but my room was not. The room was so small there was space for the bed and a small pathway to the bathroom that was also so small I could not comfortably use the toilet. Reception recommended having breakfast before 8 to avoid the rush. At 7.30 I had to spend about 10 minutes looking for a table and ended up sharing with another guest. By 8 o'clock the breakfast room was almost empty, so much for the after 8 rush.
Hotel, little clean, low level kitchen and poço cured. I am very adaptable I do not make problems and I do not create, but the quality of the food was really poor tantopiu ' that the ' cook ' is Italian. Too bad because it would be very little to make a difference.
It's not a three-star. Inadequate security rooms like Loculi. Cooks that modest. Blankets and pillows stinking ridiculous and "clean" bathrooms only at arrival. Worse than an inn.
The rooms are OK but the main reason most people come to the hotel is the price. The reception has been updated but the rest of the hotel needs work. All the rooms are small and are well used. I was impressed with the restaurant and did like the bar. Staff are all friendly and helpful but do lack some knowledge about the hotel. Good place to stay on a budget.
Ideally situated. Tube minutes away. Staff excellent. 24 hour restaurant next door such a great idea. When we next go to London we shall definitely be staying here.
Very reasonably priced modern hotel for central London. Only 5 minutes walk from Tottenham Court Road underground station. Decent rooms. Clean, spacious, all mod cons. Nice bar, with a good selection of reasonable priced drinks. Slightly limited breakfast, included in room price. But not bad really for the overall room cost. Didn't use the restaurant but the food looked good. Handy for theatres, usual London sight seeing & local restaurants. Already thinking about our next visit.
Having stayed at the St. Giles many times, I will continue to do so due to its location and reasonable pricing. I would always recommend and executive room over anything more basic. Despite this, there have been a few changes that are less than ideal. The orderly queue at reception has now been gotten rid of in favour of a scrum. The executive rooms always came with breakfast included but after years of this being standard, it has quietly been removed with no true warning of the change. On balance it is still worth staying at, but less of a sure bet than it has been.
Great location at two steps from the metro, good accommodation if you find a offer at advantageous prices. Small rooms but great for London. Clean. Single negative point noisy room and no blackout curtains.
The hotel is in a very central area. Very well located if you want to turn to London. The rooms are functional but a bit small. Very helpful and professional staff.
Really strategic location at a very good price x London Center. The double room is where we stayed is a bit small and needed maintenance. But it was clean every day.
I recommend it to anyone who wants to spend the right price.
The initial front of house service was quite professional and above expectation. Upon receiving my bill I noticed I had been overcharged by £100 and took this up with the staff, they were more than happy to reimburse the money although made no offer of compensation. The room itself was tight (twin single) though clean. The continental breakfast was more than adequate but could do with more friendliness / Hotel atmosphere as it felt more like a hostel atmosphere. Besides these points, the major benefit is location and price. I would stay here again.
Started overnight in a small single room. Basic amenities were available. Street noise was audible from the 4th floor. Oddly the wash basin is located inside the shower within the cramped bathroom. Otherwise comfortable enough for a short stay although air conditioning would have been nice during a rather hot and humid night.
Certain Areas seen better days but overall a nice place to stay! Good value drinks in the bar… really short walk to Oxford street, tube station and bus stops. Would recommend and looking to stay there again later in the year! Well done St Giles!
Very good location and means of transportation if I return to London back to this hotel.
It is a good hotel, in a perfect location. You can walk everywhere, there is a very close to Underground station and many remains.
I have stayed at St Giles Hotel twice now for Christmas shopping in December (2014 and 2015), on both occasions I have found the rooms in excellent condition, staff always very helpful and friendly and can't do enough for you, the restaurants and bar in the hotel very reasonably priced and you get to use a special offer voucher booklet in restaurants/bar, ideally situated for access to all attractions, highly recommend, going back in August for another visit re: Liverpool Barcelona match at Wembley, can't wait.
The hotel is very well located, without doubt. But the room was Very small, poorly aerated (window mini that opens in half), bathroom very small and basic. Dubious cleanliness. No Wi-Fi, everything is paid for extra, and what is most important to me: no one speaks or understand Spanish, and the hotel was with many customers, nobody cares about you even speaking some English was hard for me to communicate with them.
The location is great but it is not a hotel to go to rest, but to get up early and get out to walk. You have a block and a half to the subway, opposite a Sainsbury's (supermarket, sells food made) and a Primark (clothes shop very cheaply), in addition to other businesses. About two or three blocks away is the British Museum. The rooms do not have air conditioning, just a fan, and the window does not open almost anything. But for winter you're not going to be cold. If pretendés sleep for the morning, take into account that the walls are of role and you listen to the maids turning on all sides. The windows have a curtain that lets a lot of light, if you're of those who need darkness to sleep here you won't find it. The breakfast is very american, for an Argentine traditional as I was missing content, such as cakes, croissants, a muffin, etc, The Wifi is paying, it is not expensive, but when pagás the speed is not the best. So if you have signal in all the hotel. But the Casino has free Wifi for any emergency. Have saved luggage, but they charge a pound per item. The taxi service of the hotel is good, their prices are reasonable.
We stayed two nights in a deluxe double and whilst the hotel was spotless and the rooms clean our room was small it had a double bed in one room which you could just about walk round and a small sitting room also small next door. Our main complaint was the noise! Which was not the hotels fault but I am sure they could do something about. Sainsburys had a local supermarket opposite and the two nights we were there Saturday and Sunday the delivery lorrys arrived early hours of the morning and I think they threw the contents onto the pavement which made such a loud crashing noise it kept us both awake this went on for about an hour. We expected traffic noise etc but this was very disturbing and spoilt our stay. We did not eat at the hotel so can't comment but the staff seemed happy to help.
Stayed there for 4 days in a business trip. The hotel is centrally located with reasonable price. All surrounding roads are dynamic and filled with shops. The double room is suitable and reasonable breakfast options.
Stayed at the hotel as part of a weekend visit to the Theatre. We booked a DeLuxe room, but got an upgrade to an executive room, which was very welcome. The hotel is well situated close to the underground for easy transport access. The room was spacious, clean, and had excellent views over London. Complementary teas and coffees were provided. The bed was very comfortable. The shower and bathroom facility was clean and refreshing. Wi-Fi is available as an optional extra, but we didn't use it. Breakfast the following morning was in the VQ restaurant; very tasty and good sized portions. All the staff were polite and friendly. Booking online was easy, checkout similarly quick and easy. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay, and would happily stay again.
Lovely clean room, staff nice and friendly. Bar is very nice as well! Ideal location for shopping, near Covent garden and theatres. Very close to tube. Would definitely stay here again.
Enter the St Giles Conference rooms from a separate entrance and head down a never ending set of stairs. Conference are small but perfect for smaller meetings and events up too 30 people. Wi-Fi is wildly over priced.
Ok hotel in the heart of London. The executive rooms are the best. The overall appearance is of faded glory but they have good rates on the YMCA swimming pool (and gym) so that makes it a fav.
It all starterd with a paid Wi-Fi, from there, everything went wrong. Completely unexpected, Wi-Fi was paid and as such I never got the "Feel at home" touch. Afterwards we went to the room and realized it was the worst hotel of the trip. The Bahtroom: The shower was bad, hot water was scarce and had an unintuitive system. When the toilet is flushed, a loud and weird noise is made and it lasts minutes. The floor was extremely cold and small. The room: No AC/Heater but the temperature was fair. The room was small, the beds where not that bad and it included a small desktop. Nothing out of the extraordinary but fair, except for the size. Extras: Location was really good, next to a casino close to a McDonalds and close to the Underground and to Oxford Street. The Card system was a little weird. Conclusion: Not a Go-to hotel but not that bad either, except for the paid Wi-Fi.
Had a pleasant one night stay, and evening meal at the 24hr restaurant. Room was fairly basic but had everything we needed and the location was very good for transport links and local shops. The food was reasonably priced and tasted fine.
At check-in I agree 2 prepaid cards because they say it to their policy they can't do that. Thank goodness I was traveling with my daughter and paid her with her, for other rechargeable too! The worst thing is to feel treated as a beggar, not by attendants at the counter, but even by their manager on duty. It was late and we were tired, otherwise we would have gone. Average waiting queue to the elevators, 20 minutes! I have 4 but 2 are out of service, throughout the week have never been able to fix it. A night drop off and I do not work the key back to the reception (to get off the 5th floor I always took the stairs, because the Russian roulette of expectation to the elevators not pleasant) tell me that because of an electrical problem I was upgraded to the 6th floor, they send me a concierge to retrieve my belongings in the old room, 20 minutes for the elevator and off to move. Elapsed time between waiting in reception, concierge and lift, wait 1 hour. Microscopic rooms, bathroom even worse. In 2015 will still pay the Wifi!
— extrem noisly (traffic and streatwork)
— room old (409)
— breakfast expensive
— Elevators
— wlan very expensive
+ location
+ clean.
Perfect location, simple hotel and very good price for London. There is No fridge in the room but has a dispenser of ice next to the elevators q is sufficient and fast. Reception a minimum of 6 people to serve you, if you need route information or ask the concierge q are extremely educated and simpaticos.
St Giles hotel is conveniently on the corner of Oxford St. And Oxford St. Nw. A former YMCA hotel. We were th from Oct. 3-6 2013 in a standard room. This type of room is like a walk-in closet, which comes with a loose fan, since it has no air conditioning. There is a small window that can be opened, to get some fresh air, which comes with free and loud road noise. The breakfast is served between 08:00 and 09:30 you have a 12-15 minute que wait the staircase up and across the lobby. Once inside the breakfast there is another row for the Soupkitchen similar buffet. After hard pressure, we got back our pre-paid brakfast. There are many places to get your breakfast around the corner. We offered an upgrade to an executive room for an extra £40 a night but preferred a hotel for the money. The Concierge could not offer us a card as "everyone takes the pipe" we asked London buses the us, where al the bus passengers were from, as soon as we have our menu elsewhere.
The hotel is well located, but all the extra services such as Wi-Fi, pool, etc. Are paid. The rooms are a bit small and do not have a bath but shower. The receptionists are not very nice, really, but on the outside for the perfect situation does not come back.

Stayed here in August for 2 days the room which was described as an executive room was small and compact. This is to be expected for central London. The room was damp and had visible damp patches. The toilet floor tiles were lifting away from the floor and the shower showed signs of damp. The bar was ok although very expensive again to be expected. We had booked breakfast for 2 days which he had to go to an attached restaurant not part of the hotel. Both days we were told he hadn't paid. Both days we had to go back upstairs go to reception complain the accompanied by the receptionist downstairs to be then sat down to a pretty poor breakfast. On the plus side it was near the theatre.
