Shocking customer service. The air conditioning made a terrible noise all night and made it impossible to sleep. Then no hot water in the morning. The rooms are also very tired and nothing like the pictures. The Duty Manager Nick was absolutely awful and patronising. He was not able to offer a resolution to any of the guests who were in the reception complaining and refused to escalate any of the complaints to his Manager. Completely inept and left a large number of customers absolutely furious. Truly shocking 😑 Totally ruined the visit that was for a special occasion.

Highly recommend this hotel. Comfortable, great breakfast. Quiet road… excellent location for seeing the sights.
Catalin… in reception… gave us a wonderful welcome. He couldn’t have been more helpful and courteous. He made our stay perfect.

Very welcoming and although there was no extra bed in the family room the concierge got straight down to the matter also very reasonable priced food and beverage menu overall very happy.

Beautiful spacious clean room and service very pleasant. Rooms so quiet slept really well. Just had a lovely cooked breakfast that was excellent too.

Very nice and a copy hotel. Rooms are small but clean and very cosy. Staff is mostly east European but very friendly and helpful. Hotel is at a walking distance from Hollborn station and British museum is again just a 5 mins walk.

Nice place, services are always perfect with nice staff.
The hôtel has an ideal location. Near Oxford street, Covent Garden, théâtre, Soho, Pub, China Town.
The price is correct.

Good place to stay in central London. So close to BM and UCL. Always use when in town. My grandson loves it.! Huge rooms and excellent breakfasts.

It started raining in my bathroom. A nice feature for a minute. Then, they said they were booked up for the night and couldn’t move me. See pics, and screenshot from the video I took. Carpet soaked when it started pouring down the wall. I’m very disappointed in this hotel. REVIEW EDIT: They moved me the next morning into a room that didn’t rain from the ceiling, and a free upgrade on my extended stay. I’m happy with this turn of events.

Great location down a quiet street 10mins walk from Covent Garden. Nice big rooms but unfortunately we had a room in the basement directly under reception and could hear the staff and guests walking across the lobby all night so did not get a good night's sleep. Continental breakfast ok.

Perfectly located 1min from the British Museum, in very quiet street with hardly any traffic. Close to public transport and there is tourist bus stop opposite. Between two parks, at the beginning and end of the street. Continental breakfast very good and full, although somewhat expensive. Small rooms (very common in London). Very friendly and helpful staff.

Stayed here because there was no water in sw17 after the Thames Water pipe burst. Booked last minute on the evening for just £75 online, our room was upgraded as it was a quiet night and they supplied us with complimentary water. Great to know a London hotel looks after Londoners when there are local issues with the water pressure.

Lovely hotel, room was amazing and staff were friendly and helpful. In a great location too. Will definitely stay here again. We stayed in a twin room and it was huge! Really quiet too which in London is a huge bonus.

One of the good rated hotel chain's hotel, located in peaceful street but main market road is just 5 minutes away. Near to Holborn Tube station. Located centrally, can walk to Piccadilly, oxford street, Covent garden walking from hotel. Hotel is clean, rooms are daily cleaned, beds are comfortable, rooms are good for family as well as bachelors as well. Breakfast are good with great variety. Hash browns are must. However, reaching to your room would be a task if you are allotted in below ground floor, you have to literally cross 4-5 doors to reach to your room. Rest is very good. They can offer room service to carry luggage to room if they have single girl/women guest. Carrying luggage and crossing floors and several doors is bit tiring. Lol.

Superb location, close to tube and local bars and Covent gardens. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Room was massive for the money, with a small balcony overlooking the street with a large bathroon and the usual facilities. If needed would use again.

The rooms are lovely and the service is brilliant. Reception couldn’t do enough for me. However the hotel restaurant is absolutely terrible. The food was really grim. I was the only person in the restaurant and I felt a bit bad complaining at the time so didn’t bother but they would know the food is poor.

Nice place for staying when away with work. Clean, friendly staff and well located. Prefer not to be in a basement room, but hey ho, can't have it all.

Room was small yet comfortable. Odd smell upon arriving (most likely ciggarettes) though this was quickly solved by opening the window for a few minutes. Staff is friendly. Room was clean. Breakfast not adviced. There are a lot of nice cafe's nearby for an equal if not better breakfast. Breakfast at the hotel is pricey too! Overall great hotel. 7-7, 5/10

Really good location and good sized rooms. Have stayed in similar places at similar prices and had rooms half the size, definitely a bonus. We could seem to figure out the heating/air con and our room seemed to get very warm during the night. We had a room overlooking the street so had a bit of occasional noise from cars beeping and such but not much. The continental breakfast was included in our room and it's pretty much what you'd expect, nothing special but nice. The location is definitely a plus here, in the middle of Holborn and Russel Square stops and walking distance to Covent Garden and Euston station. (About 15 minutes either way)

Wonderful staff! I arrived jetlagged and short tempered but they were professional and courteous. The rooms are great too!

Staff were excellent, we got upgraded upon arrival… great start! Room was a huge Junior suite. Bed was comfortable, as was the sofa, only small feedback would be I felt room needed a refurb. All in all a good stay, would recommend.

This has been one of my most enjoyable hotel stays! The staff has been absolutely phenomenal, and our family has greatly appreciated their hospitality. We're traveling with two elderly adults in wheelchairs, and upon seeing our group, they made the generous decision to upgrade them to an executive suite! They also made accommodations to put out a permanent ramp in front of the hotel for the duration of our stay. Room service has been attentive and the rooms are comfortable and modern. Breakfast has also been tasty and there is a wide selection of food. I think in general, this hotel has amazing staff and is very comfortable and quiet, and I'd recommend this hotel to anyone!

Bed was not level, sloped towards headboard and also dipped in centre. TV was stuck in 4:3 mode despite being capable of 16:9 it was impossible to select this. Staff are very nice and friendly and hotel is in a quiet and good location.

Attended a training course at this hotel in its meeting room. The staff were consistently lovely, friendly and helpful. The air con was luxurious. The food for lunch was great every day of the course, really delicious. The rooms looked very nice too. The staff really make a difference.

Nicely decorated rooms, if a little small. Lovely toiletries and good coffee/ tea facilities. Some minor faults which could do with correcting, like cracks in the bath etc. Very helpful staff. Great continental breakfast, one of the best I've had. Fab location.

Hotel is great, quirky but well kept and clean. The staff are fantastic and very willing to help. The bedrooms are well equipped and comfortable. My only gripe is staying on the 3rd (top floor) and there is a really loud air conditioning unit next to the room, that even with ear plugs in it is easily audible.

For my 22nd birthday my girlfriend had booked a room at "double tree by Holton at West end" so called 5* hotel. After arriving to what I could only guess was there lower range room at 238 (A NIGHT) with breakfast for two we where both less than impressed with the room! So we did no more and looked in the local area for hotels. We got a refund and we booked in to the Grange Beauchamp hotel for a fraction of the cost we already outlaid! We left a note on the booking site explaining it was my 22nd birthday, upon arrival we was greeted by very friendly staff and a fresh smelling lobby. Because of the occasion we had a room upgrade from an executive suit to a executive twin suit which wasn't needed but was really greatly appreciated, also cake and drink was delivered to the room as a welcoming gift because of my birthday I'm lead to believe, the room was everything that was advertised and the room service was excellent, where the hotel is located isn't on a busy road which was nice when it came to settling down at night. All in all a great hotel and made my stay very comfortable. Would recommend and stay again! 5

The good was excellent, but the bad was awful. I'm a wheelchair user and I'd rung to check the hotel was fully accessible. Which I was told it was. When we arrived it was pouring with rain and I was left outside in the rain for 10 minutes while the staff searched for the ramp. I can walk a little and when the staff came out my husband helped me up the steps and the staff carried my chair.
We were upgraded to a junior suite which was good, but the initial experience was bad. The ramp had appeared when we came to go out, but it was slippery and needs a non slip surface.

Lovely hotel and in a fantastic location. Went for our joint 50th birthday and bit disappointed no little extras as some hotels do! But that aside would definitely recommend.

Although a fairly small hotel, it's very clean, bright, fairly modern, and in a nice central location. Food was very nice, the staff extremely polite, friendly, and helpful. The rooms are very comfortable and bright, although due to the arrangement of the building, easily overlooked from the outside. Definitely a worthy contender for anyone looking to stay in central London.

We got upgraded to a superior room for free because we were there for a birthday weekend — room was massive and bathroom likewise. Were also brought complimentary cake to our room for the same reason. Staff very polite and eager to please. There was free Wi-Fi (maybe a change since older reviews), although there was a pay service available if you wanted dedicated bandwidth. Hotel well-situated just around the corner from the British Museum. We walked to it from St Pancras in 15 minutes, but it is also close to Russell Square tube. If we were to have any gripes, it would be that the heating was over-enthusiastic (we were there in January, but it felt tropical in our room). We could also hear faint music from the bar as our room was above it, but not so as to disturb us.

Average hotel, room size small, no water supplied and minimal storage.

Average at best, no water supplied in room and was extremely hot. Apart from that it was okay.

We stayed there while finishing up a 3 week trip to the UK. It was your basic average business hotel. Nothing special. The best reason to stay there is the proximity to the British Museum.

If you like indian food please Try The Taj Restaurant in 10 Carlton Parade Orpington Kent BR6 0JB open 7 days a week Monday to Saturday 5.30pm to 11.30pm and Sunday 5.30pm to 11.00pm.

The hotel is clean and the staff competent but rude. Breakfast is £20 and Wi-Fi £5/hr. We were upgraded to a lower ground room, so the view just consisted of some rubbish from the kitchen. The room was noisy as it had little isolation from the room above, which seemed to be occupied by an hyperactive elephant. The bedsheets smelled of bleach and irritated our skin. Wouldn't stay again or recommend it to anyone.

No free internet. Small bed in normal room.
