Clean, friendly, just something noisy but otherwise great connectivity and great location.

Friendly and accommodating staff. Good breakfast.

Facilities were daily good and the rooms were very small.

Good hotel for a night sleep. Nothing special.

Good customer service. Room was quite small. The breakfast was decent.

Even thought I was looking for a cheap hotel, I was not expecting some things. I couldn't close the bathroom doors, the floors were so crooked that my stuff started rolling. Overall — Funny experience, probably would not do again.

Disgusting. Avoid at all costs do not make a mistake in using this place.

Room was ok for a night or two, very basic. Very nice staff.

Average hotel. No air conditioning. Only serves breakfast, a big breakfast, bacon, egg, toast, beans and sausage. The staff and hosts are really friendly! But my stay was not great due to noisy tenants up and about slamming doors till 2 am. Close to amenities. Hotel room smelled of stale smoke. Although at £89 a night, it's what you get for the price. Wi-Fi is free, but ended up using my mobile tethering hotspot, as it was too slow and kept dropping. The room was relatively clean, and had the basics.

Good location in the city of London near Covent Garden and Soho. Pretty sketchy rooms, tiny water room. Not bad, lack of fruit or yogurt to run the English breakfast!

Tiny room and even tinier bathroom. Shower had very low water pressure. Entire building seemed to be falling into disrepair.

Convenient location, but price and quality aren't related. I was expecting quite more for the price. Very small rooms, tiny bathroom to the point that it makes it even difficult to wash your hands and face. Breakfast: there is only one choice and not the very best, so after 2nd. Day one had enough. It does not seem is run by professionals.

Just goes to show, you get what you pay for in this world. This place is a dump, but if you are on a budget, it's doable and is centrally located. Plenty of cheap places to eat nearby. All the other negative reviews about this hotel are accurate, I'm afraid. I'll add that in room there is barely any water pressure for the shower.

We ordered 2, double rooms. The rooms were small but ok, many small issues with the rooms tho, you should not be picky about this. Only 1 of the 2 bath rooms had a sink which was annoying, but not unbearable. The staff was nice, but what really dragged down this experience from "ok" to "would not recommend" was the food! I had an english breakfast and I have never before seen such a disgusting sausage, and generally the whole breakfast was rather disgusting and hardly edible, I decided to taste one small bit of the beans and then I left it and didn't touch it again. At least there were some packaged cereal so I didn't walk away empty-stomached but if you are staying at this hotel, stay clear of any food that they make by themselves.

Arrived at this hotel and was very disappointing at the smell as we walked in then went to our room which was very dirty, small and still the smell. The rooms were a size of a single room not a double as we booked The staff was very pleasant but was unable to credit our card with a refund due to the management not being available until Monday Would not recommend this hotel unless the whole building was updated.

Great hotel for London on a budget very helpful staff.

Upon entering my room I noticed a door at the opposite end of the room, which opened onto the garden. This door was only held shut by a metal hook. This along with the bathroom window being fixed open ensured that there was a permanent draught. What also concerned me about this window was that as it was fixed open (at the bottom) and the net curtain did not reach that far, had anyone been in the garden they could have looked straight through to the shower, which in turn did not have a frosted front. By the garden door there was an ant prevention device and there was an additional extermination device under the bed. This did not prevent a slug entering the room. I informed the reception lady and she had it removed but was incredibly rude when I asked to change rooms, which she begrudgingly allowed me to do. The actual check out time was also something of an issue. My online booking stated latest check-out time was 11:00am, the sign in the room said 10:30 and the cleaner informed me that it was 10:00am. Terrible place to stay.

The worst place I have ever stayed. Like a DHSS doss house. Dirty, decrepid and staffed by chinese people who can't speak english. Awful.

The Garth Hotel is an old, very dirty hotel. The carpet on the floor and on the stairs, handrails: everything was very dirty. The shower was almost cleaned. We had fitted a very small room, poor. There is a hospital nearby and the first night, we heard many sirens. But that was a real problem. The problem was the dirt. We store often and we are not luxurious, but this was really unacceptable.
