I stayed here for one night by myself. The room was tiny, and I mean TINY. I could touch the walls either side of me without even having to fully reach-out my arms. I genuinely felt like I was in a hostel, but the room was very clean as a positive. The hotel in general feels very dated, and the owners have tried to squeeze in as many rooms as they can and then continue to charge £70/per-night and upward for them. Breakfast was also very basic and poor. Staff came across like the couldn't care less. Another slight positive is that the hotel is in a great location and is pretty quiet at night considering you're so close to King's Cross station. There are much better hotels in the same price-range within London.

This can only be called a hotel conditionally. The room for one is tiny, with a very small window, the shower and toilet located in the hallway are in very poor condition. Of the pluses — great location, edible breakfast, friendly staff and price. But I won't stay here anymore.

To start off the customer service was horrible it felt as if they didn’t care about who stays. When we went to enter the room we didn’t mind the very very tiny hallway, however the rooms were disastrous. It felt like it was a game of how many things can you fit in a tiny 20 by 20 feet bedroom including the bathroom. My dad has asthma and the room the gave us was in the basement, when we went to converse with them about the issue they didn’t care and said to come next morning in which they still didn’t care. When we tried to charge our phone there was only one outlet because the there one that was beside the bed but was semi-blocked by the heater… very convenient… On the other hand, when we were leaving on one of the days we saw a couple that was raging as “what you see is not what you get” they were talking about how they felt like they were “Robbed” and “Tricked” by the pictures that are displayed online for consumers, in which I couldnt relate more. They wanted there money back and the staff simply said we can’t give you back what you payed you are the ones who booked its not our problem… what a great and professional way to deal with a problem… In conclusion if you are reading this comment and are considering this hotel just remember what that lady said “What you see is not what you get“, oh and I also forgot to mention the spider I saw in the shower thank you!

The place is a disgrace to be called a hotel. It's a hostel or university dorm. The room bed springs were felt while sleeping. The bathroom was the worst in terms of size or basic amenities. Bedroom was in basement and with my asthma, they just didn't care of changing my room with an of the awful receptionist attitude. TV is an ancient mobile home 9" TV. The price per night was extremely expensive (90GBP equivalent to $118) compared to the room and service. The percentage to recommend that room to anyone is no more than 0%. When I left the room, I asked them to leave the bag in concierge. However the lady wouldn't hand any tag. Then I asked what guarantees another guest not taking the bag by mistake? The lady bluntly pointed me to read the hotel policy, which states the hotel isn't responsible and its my responsibility. What kind of service is that?

Lack of cleanliness!
Stayed 4 nights in this place. What we can salvage is that the location is good. For station and bus connections.
Very small rooms, no room to leave suitcases, simple breakfast, but the worst is the lack of cleanliness in the habítacion! The 2 day they didn't even change sheets, they just stretched the bed. The dirty bathroom. A mess! We leave the corresponding claim.

Hotel facilities in London are generally not very spacious, which is the first awareness to travel to local travel friends. The hotel is just across from the cross train and Metro station, about 5 minutes walk to, very convenient. Hotel age is not small but good maintenance, opposite is a small park, near a number of restaurants and restaurants, laundry walk a few minutes to. It is worth mentioning that the counter service staff is kind, breakfast is very good, luggage can also be stored free of charge, for self-service travelers is very recommended.

Keep in mind that hotels in London are by and large going to be small by American standards. And this one is one of a number of small hotels near the British Library that are all characterized by small rooms and a shabbiness that is alleviated by lots of character. The staff are nice, the beds comfortable, and the breakfast is certainly plentiful. The location can't be beat for the price either.

I stayed there regularly during my escapades in London. The location is ideal at 2mn walk from St Pancrarse. The European is located on a very quiet square. Although the singles are tiny, the bedding would need to be renewed but the value for money is unbeatable and the establishment offers many advantages, compared to other nearby establishments and more expensive: shower and toilets in the room, English breakfast OK offered, free baggage deposit. What to buy a small budget London trip.

A week spent in this hotel — positive points: very well placed in London to travel with the Metro — Clean — value for money. Negatives: Very small room — no elevator (generality in London) — very very small bathroom — we were forced to ask for extra towels — bath mat — bedside lamp. Breakfast included but no research — no milking — not very welcoming staff —

Good accommodation just for sleeping, close to the Sant Pancras train station and a cheap price for London. Breakfast English included.

Very basic hotel. Small rooms. Low quality breakfast. It's not worth what you charge. Only advantage is the proximity to King Cross.

Small but fine hotel for short stay with super transport connections. Friendly staff. Simple equipment. Comfortable beds.

Great location good breakfast very basic rooms.

A pleasant welcome, but a very small room in a tight hallway. No mention of where breakfast might be or when. Heating in room was poor on what was a cold damp night. Heating was turned off over night not back on till 7 next day. Good job there was an extra blanket supplied. I had a small double bed in a clearly single room. Bed was actually comfy, but nearby American in next room was noisy, on his phone at 2:30 am. Another distraction was a circling helicopter through the night and sirens every so often. Not the quiet place that was described. Full English breakfast was average, no welcome from staff, no fresh coffee just a kept warm flask style container. All in all cheap and not cheerful. I guess you get what you pay for. .

Very full breakfast and good location is a street from King's Cross and has one of the best breakfasts I have ever taken. The rooms are small but the building is lovely, very English. And the service is very attentive. It has luggage storage service in case the departure and flight schedules do not coincide. It is very well connected to the Metro thanks to the buses and the city subway. For its price it is very well located and has good service. Ideal If you don't plan to spend much time in the room.

Well located by Kings Cross; perfect for exploring London by day and night. Small rooms perfect for individual travellers. Great breakfast and very reasonable prices.

Good value for money nothing amazing decor wise but the staff are very good and friendly and nothing is too much trouble.

Great little budget hotel with full English breakfast included. Very quiet area at night with great pub serving good affordable food diagonally opposite over square. All of city sights within half an hours walk for the energetic!

The hotel is certainly not for very demanding people, but for me there was everything necessary. An admittedly tiny room furnishings, from the mini-toilet to an almost absurdly small TV — but everything available and (Sogut at the old building possible) quite clean. As a big city, the street noises did not bother me either. The public connection is with KingsCross ideal, British Library, Regents Park etc. Within walking distance. I think the photos on the hotel website make a good look at what it actually looks like. Kettle with free tea/coffee is refreshed daily. In principle everything very functional, but for ~ 60 pounds the night for London a very good value for money. Staff consistently friendly.
I have only one criticism: the heater only ran at night! Late risers can expect a slightly cooler morning. (It should be noted that I found it not worth the effort to inquire whether this is normal. )

Plus 2. Five to three! Expensive for what it is! But the hotel remains clean all the same and the breakfasts are OK.

Worst hotel ever. A prison is much BETTER. Worst breakfast I have ever seen. Instead of juice they serve orange squash. Very dirty rooms. The TV is too small. To see the receptionist smile or saying thank you, I think you have to pay her. She is so unfriendly. No lift and the stairs are too tiny to get the luggage upstairs. Towels are not changed and the bathroom is too small and its difficult for a person to fit in. An advise from me is that dont even think to stay in this horrible hotel cause its a nightmare. Its better to pay a little bit more money and get a decent room in an other hotel.

This shall not be called a hotel for sure! I only gave it one star because you cannot give less. The main issue is the space of the rooms, they are like a cage where you dont have space to even make a step and the bathroom is so small that even one person is hard to fit in. They are also very dirty and unhygenic, no soap provided, the towels and room are not cleaned everyday. Another big FAIL is the breakfast it is horrible to say the least, the toast would be ready so it is cold, there is no juice provided just squash without no taste, the scrambled eggs are flooded in water. The walls of the hotel are too thin and you can hear every word the other people in other rooms say. I regret giving my money to this woman since she is also unfriendly and not helpful. I wouldnt recommend this hotel to animals let alone persons!

Simple, small, no elevator, but only 5minutes from Kings Cross. Better skip the breakfast.

We just spent a few days at this hotel all ready from St Pancras station.
To tell you the truth, apart from the location, we were not packed with the benefits.
Rikiki Room, no isolated window so you can hear very well what is going on in the street, you have cold air coming in and in the morning, condensation on the tiles.
The walls are not more insulated and you hear the neighbors.
English breakfast all simple but sufficient except that it does not change.
So I advise to stay more than three days under pain of the bowl.
When the staff, they totally ignore you in the breakfast room, discuss in Russian or Polish and nibble while replenishing the buffet.
In short, I do not retournerairetournerai but in troubleshooting, it is acceptable.

Cheap option. The only advantage is location. Bad breakfast, tight rooms. Take it only if there are no other options.

Central location and close to famous places; nice clean room with bathroom; basic unlimited buffet breakfast; only problem was that there was no lift and had to use stairs.

Very poor rooms… Even prisoners get decent rooms than this. Attached is the picture. Unfortunately it didn't come out well due to low light. It was covered with a layer of dust everywhere. Looks like the room is empty for a very long time.

The location is great. Right at King's Cross with access to several tube lines making it easy to get around. Rooms are clean and have some storage which is a huge bonus in a budget hotel. Full breakfast is surprisingly good. Another bonus at this price point. Supposed 24 hour desk. On our last day we were unable to access to hotel for several minutes in the afternoon, not in itself a huge deal but the person who finally answered the door was extremely rude. We were not the only patrons waiting.

Depends on the room allocated, staff a little reserved though overall, considering it is very close to the station and is one of the cheaper hotels, value for money not bad.

Great central busy location, well served by public transport, but still in a very quiet street. Good English breakfast, friendly staff. The rooms and the bathroom are very tiny but clean.

It was ok our room had bathroom which was so small you couldn't pick up a cat let alone swing one. Beds where comfortable. Better hotels for less.

Very accommodating place. The room was tiny but not bad for a hostel-like place. Water pressure in the shower was great. Free breakfast was very good. Staff helped us out with everything we asked them for.

I've stayed in a fair few budget hotels in London and stayed here a number of times. It's been consistently average which isn't a bad thing for the price in london. Good if you want to get back late, fall asleep and the get out early! ie spend minimal time in the room. Bed comfortable, room minimal and clean. Floors not too creaky, you can hear through the walls if you have an inconsiderate neighbour.

The room was very small. Aspect of the room to be depressed. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Absolutely avoid with family. Passable for young people little interested in the comfort of the room if they find very low prices.

Hotel convenient to get to, a couple of minutes from Kings Cross. Helpful Staff. Rooms a bit small and not so new, but good point the parquet instead of the usual carpet. Minimal bathroom. Good cleanliness, considering the average levels of London. Usual English breakfast, standard.

Pros: Free English breakfast buffet, very plentiful. Very kind staff, they even printed out tickets for the return plane for free. Economic. Great Central area and perfect for visiting many places in London. A staff lady also speaks Italian.
Cons: Small room, no lift and many stairs.

Sincerely, not what I recommend. The rooms are depressing, and service… Low by not say no!

Near public transport — just across the road from both Kings Cross and St Pancreas Railway Stations. Quiet outlook the 2 nights we stayed there. Clean and comfortable with hot powerful shower. Tasty breakfast with efficient service and friendly staff. Small rooms and shower, but small price to pay for such good facilities at such an affordable price.

Schmutzig, Schimmelig, laute abwasser, kein Frühstück gegessen, da das Zimmer schon sehr unhygienisch war, starker Gasgeruch beim Öffnen des Fensters, Bettwäsche war wohl schon benutzt, Haare im Bett, keinerlei Komfort. Einziges Plus: Gute Lage NIE WIEDER! ICH RATE: FINGER WEG!

Can't give a score lower than one star unfortunately. But stay here… if you want a horrible room, unfriendly staff, enjoy feeling unsafe and want the feeling that you could be raped during the night.

I never thought sleeping in the basement and still less with that musty smell that gave bad head. I urge you not to take two showers in same half a day because the second is cold. The TV remote didn't work because she was rafistollee with a sheet folded in four and was missing a battery. The shower was dirty, and it's not even worth about shower curtain rod. I find it shameful to sleeping people in the "cellar". Good night to the next people who will stay in the room of 65. One good point, Hotel is 2 steps from the train station st pancras.

Room uncomfortable and breakfast very poor. Very expensive. It is only worth its location.

This place needs closing down once and for all. I don't need to come here now I have my flat but these hoteliers are rip off merchants and they need exposing including the very unsafe building which is going to collapse unless it is looked at by health and safety. It is a disaster waiting to happen. Lucy and her pinchpenny family won't ever pay out a penny for restructuring because it costs too much. Every review on trip advisor is a serious complaint and health and safety executives maybe the BBC need to see unfit for purpose so called hotel. I'd call it a credible death trap.

This place does what it says on the tin. I'm American and lived in the UK for 10 years. If you are expecting anything more than a half-sized motel room you'll be disappointed. But the location is great, the Eastern European staff are superb, and the breakfast is good. I'll be back for my next budget London visit.

I once stayed here. I now live in a Hampstead flat. I have to say after reading constantly bad reviews about this place it should be shut down once and for all. It's not fit for purpose and refurbishment needs to take precedence. Lucy her daughter's are nice good Italian folk but are complacent and will never have inclination to modernise refurbish this building because they are so financially money obsessed and this is just unacceptable and the reason why I have lost all respect for this place. Health and safety would close this place down immediately if they witnessed all the colossal failings. This place could be a real success only if management would stop being so complacent and lazy.

Very small rooms, smell bad inside rhe bathroom, but very cheap. It`s up to you if you want to stay in the city centre and spend less money it`s for you.

If you want to rest, don't come here. Fire alarm goes off several times a day. They actually said they're not going to do anything about it. Mold in the shower and lousy breakfast round up the experience.
