Myself and my partner stayed the night here for a concert just down the road. Approaching the entrance to the hotel we were greeted by blood spatter on the steps. Once inside however, the lobby was a warm and cosy contrast to the cold kentish town streets. Our room was a decent size for the price we paid, complete with our own kettle, TV, fridge and safe (batteries not included). We didn't spend all that much time in the hotel before heading out to the o2 Forum for the night. The venue is only a 15 minute walk from the hotel with only a couple of quiet residential roads to walk down. After our walk to the Forum (and the 5 or so hours of standing whilst there) we were ready to call it a night. As we climbed into bed we noticed a small blood stain on the mattress (the sheets were clean but you could see the stain through them) this left me wondering if THIS was the good side of the mattress as simply flipping it would hide the strain from site. Aside from the stain the bed itself was as you would expect from a cheap hotel, far from top notch luxury but good enough for one night. The pillows, on the other hand, needed to be folded in half before you would even know they were there. We didn't sample the continental breakfast on offer, we opted for a healthy McDonald's instead, but to have the breakfast included in the prices the corner house offers is a bargain for London. All in all our stay at The Corner House was as you should expect from a cheap hotel. Friendly staff, warm rooms with suitable beds in a convenient location. I would recommend it if you are going to the O2 Forum but if you plan on spending more than one night in London this hotel may not be for you.
