The rooms where quite small, which was expected. Air con didn't work at all, and there was no fridge which was pretty weird. Apart from that everything else was decent. Brekkie wasn't too bad either.

We chose this this hotel because of its proximity to euston station, the property is small, but welcoming. It is located in a very central, but quiet area, with very close metro.

The bathroom is very small, but new and in the room.
The only "criticism" I feel like doing the check-in time, 2pm seems really late to me.

The worst place I have ever been to. No front dest no, one to help you. The whole building was very dirty and messy. The only person who was responsible for everything was a 20 year-old girl who was very rude and unfriendly. The single room was too small so I couldn't fit my luggage in it. I paid 80 Euros per night but could't stay there for even one night. The shower drain was clogged so I had to leave the hotel at night and go to another hotel which was two blocks away, with 70 Euros per night which was 10 times bigger and cleaner than bloomsberry palace. I asked to talk to the manager but the girl said that she was the manager and the owner was not available to talk to me. So I had to go and stay in another hotel. Worst experience ever. The pictures on the website are fake.

Room was lovely except no bin in rm kettle dirty and half full of water cleaning was ok and reception staff very friendly. Breakfast rm tinny and staff very uninviting no conversation we sat there ages before someone plonked toast on the table without speaking or asking if we wanted any and definately no browm or white option then asked if we wanted full English the time breakfast arrived toast was stone cold. No one explained the set up. Coffee had run out then was cold when we received 1 this area let's the place down and for the price we paid it wasn't cheap they need to get this spot on. Tourists or not as if it's good u will rtn.

Very nice place and strategically located to get to the places of interest. Small but well cared for room so great value for money. The Wi-Fi works well and the English breakfast is plentiful. Recommend.

Room very small and (my room) not as secure as you might hope. But staff friendly and the location is excellent for both business and leisure.

I stayed on Sunday night for one night very small room but clean bathroom was small but nice. Great staff and nice breakfast for 55 pounds a night with food can't complain really I will stay again.

Rooms and service are of good quality, but make sure you don't get a small room if you're tall.

If I would've to rate the room alone, I would've given it 3 Stars, but the Service made it worth 4. We got a room in the lower level, our window looked out on a dirty back alley, and the wall with the window let in so much cold, we had to up the heat to the max. Other than that, the room was fine and clean. The Service alone deserves 5 Stars. We asked for an AC-Adapter, the Receptionist gave it to us without extra charge. We asked if we could print coach tickets, also no charge (although we didn't print, because we couldnt buy the tickets online, but still, his offer was nice enough). The Breakfast was OK, I expected a buffet, but there were only a couple of cereals, tea, coffee and spreads. You have to wait for the Service to bring you the english breakfast. You can choose between scrambled and sunny side up, and with the engl. Breakfast you also get a couple of slices of toasted white bread. All in all OK for 1 night.

Be extremely careful if you choose to stay here. On the fourth and final night of our stay, we arrived back at our room on the third floor to find two men fixing our door, which had been kicked in — cracking the door frame. Our room had been ransacked. Suitcase cut open, passport, cash and camera gear stolen (all of our gear was packed into our suitcases at this point, as we had planned to go out, see a show that night and depart early the next morning). Strangely these two men were fixing our door prior to the police being called — ultimately tampering with a crime scene. Even more strange was that none of the staff seemed too fussed by the whole ordeal, seemingly brushing it off as if no big deal. It wasn’t until my partner ran downstairs in hysterics and crying that the police were called to investigate. Honestly, the theft seemed far too well orchestrated to merely be unlucky that we were targeted — we believe this was possibly some sort of inside job, with the cleaners potentially scouting our room during the day whilst we were out exploring London (which we did each of the four days we were there). Our room was conveniently just out of range of any CCTV cameras, and we struggle to understand how nobody heard a heavy, old-fashioned door being kicked in when the hotel is only three floors high with only 20 or so rooms. When we asked to see the CCTV and speak to the manager (who wasn’t on premises at the time), the staff declined.

I will make this short because my experience can be summed up in a few sentences for both good and bad. GOOD: Greeted by very friendly ladies at the reception area, she explains everything including Wi-Fi and breakfast times. Heaps to choose from for breakfast and super close to the tourist attraction via walking (1hr to Tower of London, 30mins to Westminster Abbey / St Pauls Church / London Eye & Buckingham Palace). Only 1hr drive to London Airport. BAD: We were in a double room whose bed was so short I literally had feet hanging over from my ankles and Im only 170cm tall. Also, I would like to stress that the bed was the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept on in my entire life. Bathroom is tiny and shower had me bending down as my head hit the roof if I didnt… I ordered the full English breakfast and you could tell it had been just microwaved upon order as bacon was so overcooked you could snap it in half with a tap of the finger. Eggs were stone cold. Toast was soggy. I mean it is not that hard to cook eggs, bacon and toast. Anyway, for the odd £200 I paid for this room, I could have chosen a million other options. I feel bad for saying it but Ive been thinking about how to word this review since 3am this morning because the thermostat didnt work, I was shivering in bed and could hear next doors conversations as the walls are paper thin. Beware.

It wasn’t the disaster I feared. Room (306) was a little rough round the edges but large (with an extra single bed I hadn’t asked for) and bathroom was new-ish and clean if a little small. Decent enough for a night or two on a budget and close to several tube lines. P. S. The receptionist is a bonus :p.

I booked the hotel and later I read about the comments here. It got me scared, but I had a very good experience. I stayed there for five nights. The bed was good, long enough (I am 1.92m and fitted), the room is very small, but complete. Wifi was fine all the time, TV worked perfect, temperature in the room was ok. Hotel room was cleaned every day, and also the public areas were clean. Breakfast fills you up for at least half a day; I never had to wait. Staff is very friendly. They provided me with drinking water and electricity converter during my entire stay. On the second floor the traffic noise was very doable, as all windows have double-glass. Sensitive guests should bring earplugs. This is the cost for staying in the center of London. Location is excellent, and very safe, also at night. Supermarkets, shops, restaurants nearby. Summarized: high value for money — — — compared to other hotels in London this is really a good option.

Room was not as advertised on the website; a cupboard I think it must have been originally! Literally so small I could hold out one arm and touch the wall with my finger tips, and my other shoulder could touch the other wall. Dirty, smelly, pubic hairs in the bed, brownish streaks down one wall and didn't feel that safe in the hotel where my room was so didn't even stay to experience anything else I walked out and very luckily found another hotel down the road with one room to spare!

Room was far too small. No space to do anything other than sit or lay on bed. This was a cupboard with a bed in it. Road noise all through the night so not a good sleep. Every thing else was fine. Lovely staff. Good breakfast and clean place.

Extremely small rooms. Not all rooms have air conditioning. I had one but it was broken. Bathroom also very small and broken faucets. Not recommended.

Simple place, fare price! Close to the hospital. I experienced some noise from the ambulancies passing by the dawn …

Smallest room I've ever been in, it's like I'm in Harry Potter's closet under the staircase. That being said, this place is just what you need for a short, short-notice trip to Central London on a budget (my room was £75). Breakfast is also included, and it's a pretty good one too (full English), so that's another £5-10 value right there. Regarding my particular room, it DID have an en suite bathroom, but it was so small that I could barely turn in the bathroom. My room was on the first floor, at the back, with a direct door to the garden (! ), so it was relatively quiet. However, the room is right next to the stairs to the breakfast area, so in the morning there was noise, and the room smelled of food in the morning.

Room very small and curtains were filthy with blood on them. Breakfast was nice but lugging suitcases up 3 flights is no joke, very disappointed as I paid £250 for 2 nights. Would not stay there again.

Room for single person was small but as only stopping 2 nights was fine, very limited hanging space (2 coat hangers). Room was situated at the front near road so was very noisy at times. Didn't effect me as the beer allows me to sleep through anything! Great location and good breakfast, helpful and friendly staff, clean and tidy. If I used again would request a room at the back.

4 is questionable. But it depends on your needs. For example we were in three and guys… we were always around so what we cared about was the location which was really great, very central. Close to GOODGE STREET subway station. A bit neglected and breakfast to review. But overall it is acceptable.

Small hotel, the room small but quite clean. The normal breakfast, a little bacon, a sausage, half tomato, fried or scrambled egg, white beans with ketchup. Good hotel but the receptionist did not help too to make themselves understood.

The room was small, simple and mainly clean (although the net curtain was very dirty at the bottom and there was a little mould on the window). Breakfast comes with two rashers of bacon and one sausage plus beens and egg (scrambled or fried, but not both). Toast brought to the table on the side. All in all it would be hard to complain for the price of £85 for a double room.

This place is outdated and just plain terrible. Way too expensive for the price. I had the worst experience I've ever had over there — my room had a window to the big street and due to the noise it felt like trucks were driving all over me all night. I did not close an eye that night — before a 6AM presentation I had in the morning… Not to mention the room had old furniture and wasn't clean. And I could not properly close the door, because the lid of some sort of a electricity plug box above the door kept opening and hanging in the door aisle. When I asked if my room could be changed due to all that I got a firm NO, WE ARE FULLY BOOKED. No room service, less than average breakfast. Very disappointing, I don't get where the good reviews come from, really.

I don't get why people rate this hotel to be a one star hotel. I found this place great! Close to the subway, it's affordable even with a limited budget, the beds are better than I expected, the bathrooms are fresh and feels really new and the staff is very helpful and friendly. The rooms are not the biggest I've seen but that's perfectly fine. When you go to London you don't go there just to sit in your hotel room all day long. YES, I will definitely return!

More than adequate for a nights stay in London. Beds were comfy, staff were friendly and the breakfast was more than expected with fast service. The bathroom was also more modern than expected from such a quaint building. The only down point was a dusty and grimy remote for the TV, but that's just harsh criticism.

Cheap — but bed only suitable for a limbless torso and room basically a cupboard. You live and learn.

It is only a walking distance to the city centre as well as the British Museum. Hotel is right opposite to the bus station so it is very convenient to access.

Me and my boyfriends stayed there in January for 5 days. It was a very nice hotel really close to Oxford Street (5 min. Walk). We had read in reviews that people said the rooms were really small but our was pretty big, or just average size and really nice. The man in the reception was also very nice, and when we asked for new batteries in the safe that was in the room, he was quick to get it and fix it for us. I recommend this hotel for this kind of price! I would go there again.

I travel widely throughout the world on a regular basis. This is by far the worst hotel I've stayed in. They misrepresent their advertisement of 4 stars. I've stayed in 3 star hotels in India that are better. There is no air conditioning in the middle of summer. They have a crappy Wi-Fi connection. The photos of the rooms and bathroom online misrepresent the actual size of the rooms. My room is so small, only one person can stand in it, let alone move around in it, including the bathroom. The worst of it is the lock on my door is faulty. I am staying here as a single female and during the day while I was half-dressed in the room, one of the male hotel employees entered my room without permission. He offered no apology. When I complained at reception and asked for another room or for them to fix the lock on my door, the male employee at the reception refused and said he would try to arrange for it to be attended to the next day. In the meantime, I have to sleep in a room where any hotel employee could slip into my room at any time, including while I'm asleep. The room does not even have a chair that I could lodge against the doorknob. I do not feel safe here. If you are thinking of booking a hotel in London, especially in the Russell Square / Camden area, STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.
