Stayed here on Sunday night. What a lovely experience. Beautiful room overlooking the river, comfortable bed and the whole hotel very tastefully decorated. Dinner was exceptionally good and reasonably priced. Would definitely stay there again.

Hotel very comfortable, standard rooms better than others I’ve stayed in, food excellent, spa treatments were good but the facilities were disappointing tired too small and changing rooms dirty, with only one functioning shower and toilet and even that was blocked.

Staff were so friendly and hotel is spotless but Abdul was absolutely brilliant and made us feel very special.

There is a helipad just outside our window. Apparently this is how the posh people who don’t like to deal with traffic get around London!

Very funny experience getting to the Spa in our dressing gowns and having to go outside and pass through a kids party.

I really like this hotel, but we always seem to have a few issues. With either the bathrooms not be cleaned properly or hair being left on the sheets. Apart from that the views are beautiful and depending on if you get a suite or not. The rooms are lovely and I would definitely recommend one of the suites with the hot tube.

Great value accommodation. Very spacious, lots of mod cons. Clean, but not immaculate. Reception often unmanned, so no answer, which is frustrating. Overall it's very good for the price. You can pay more and get much less, so for a family, you'd struggle to find better value. Pretty happy overall.

Lovely hotel and stunning room. Right on the banks of the Thames. Great place to take a pew and watch the world go by. Bar and restaurant overlook the Thames. Parking is underground and a bit of a squeeze. Lovely hotel.

Great stay, comfy room. Didn't eat there so can't comment on that. The shower was the best if ever experienced, and the room and very quiet and peaceful, and a remarkable generous size too. Only thing as the staff at reception could have paid me a bit more attention, they were efficient, I didn't get a Hi, or a 'how was your stay' when I checked out. I'd still stay again despite those though.

Emperor suite river view £389 a night amazing room, didn’t appreciate having to pay an extra £40 for breakfast, and speakers for music on iPhone didn’t work in bathroom/jacuzzi room also hotel staff where quite rude and didn’t speak English very well and was hard to understand & spa facilities was very poor, would not stay there again.

Very friendly staff. Shuttle service is so convenient — very pleasant drivers such as Michael and Ian, thanks guys. Lovely room with views. Comfy bed. Shower and lights were bit tricky but overall we had a lovely time. Will definitely recommend.

I really want to give this hotel 5 stars — beautiful big windows with a sea view, comfortable bed and one of the best showers I have used but I cannot due to the events surrounding the stay. i had come on a anniversary getaway break but for some reason they decided to hire out the entire floor above me for a party so there was loud music on — my 7 month old couldnt get to sleep and then we missed his window and he was restless then and the next day resulting in us not been able to enjoy or do what we had wanted. i complained several times about the music and was told 1 hour, 30 mins etc eventually it went off around midnight but then there was the sound of people moving furniture till about 1am.

This is an outstanding hotel. The rooms are very spacious. The service is polite and accommodating. The food was delicious and well presented. Great for solo or couples.

Lovely Hotel, only stayed one night. Good value, river view from room. Highly recommended. Lovely for a romantic weekend. On site spa.

In my eyes this is a outstanding 5 star hotel and I highly recommend. The staff are always friendly, very helpful and have a very high level of customer service. The rooms and food 10/10. Sanya has helped me with all of my bookings and I would like to say a very big thank you.

It's a 5 star… but I would say this hotel gets 4 at most.

The SPA area is quite nice, well equipped gym and quirky style for communal areas. Staff is professional and welcoming. There is a beautiful library space, ideal for people who have paper work to do or simply like to read. The restaurant serves tasty food as well.

I booked this hotel through Groupon for my partners birthday, so to be honest what we paid and what we got we were extremely happy with. The first room given unfortunately had no signal and I was a little disappointed by the view as was just overlooking the cars at the entrance which isn't what's advertised when booking. You kind of assume they will all be overlooking the thames.
However the room itself was lovely, but being a parent without her children I needed to be contactable and the Wi-Fi wasn't working. So discussed this with Ben on reception who I may add was incredibly helpful throughout our stay. He offered us a free upgrade to an emperor suite (George v) and it was absolutely stunning (pics in comments)!
We had a 3 course meal paid for in The Groupon deal and the food was lovely, there was a private party so we were in a side part of the restaurant but that's fine I don't mind being tucked away. The staff were very helpful, and we couldn't be more thankful. The free shuttle service is a godsend too so you can get anywhere from the local station they take you and collect you from.
The place has great potential, but the service and the upgrade made our stay in all honesty.

Great location right on the river with sheltered outdoor seating. Food was fantastic. Will be back especially once weather stays to warm up.

Chose This hotel specifically because of its location and the spa, since we had stayed there in the past and enjoyed it. Much to our dismay the spa was very dysfunctional — two out of four facilities we’re not working, the pool and the steam room. Nobody informed us about this when we specifically inquired about the spa… and there was no notification about spa closure on the site. Our room did not have a safe but after we complained about this, somebody came to put a safe in the room the next morning. The room also had a strange smell coming through the air conditioning. This hotel had a lot of potential when it first opened and it feels like it has started to become a little bit run down. Rooms however are very very clean and spacious, and the breakfast location and food quality is great.

The discounts with promotions in the trstaurante of the hotel are doubtful. And Nonos gave good eyesight.

This is a beautifully located hotel, just on the river Thames. I booked a river facing room and they put an effort into preparing the room with a few nice touches here and there. The heating didn't work and they tried to fix it but eventually upgraded me to their best room, the Emperor Suite! This was really kind of them and yes the Emperor room is beautiful with an amazing jacuzzi yet I felt something was lacking. It's still not up to the standards of say a Hilton executive suite.

Rooms clean although some fixtures seemed a little tired. Shower excellent with body sprays and nice toiletries. Breakfast standard buffet spread. Restaurant overlooks the Thames. It is located a little out of the way but has excellent parking (£15) so suited me as I had use of a car. Possibly stay again.

Location was good for restaurants. Offered free shuttle service to and from Clapham Junction. First room we were given smelled like there was damp so the manager moved us, with no fuss. Very friendly staff on site but less attentive on calls we made to query some info.

Not appropriate to the STERNENIVEU. Spa area is small. Tiny pool with counter current system for max. A person.

Unfortunately I did not consider the location of the hotel before booking. The trip to the city takes a long time with min. 2 times change. Especially in the evening bad connections.

Nice Hotel. If you try the emperor suites the view is particularly good. Chic hotel. Right in the middle of Battersea. Not convenient by public transport. Really good spa. Good for birthdays and anniversaries etc.

Unfortunately, I did not take a close look at the location of the hotel before booking. The trip to the city takes a long time with at least 2 times transfer. Especially in the evenings bad connections.

Not central to where we wanted looks more central online than it actually is. Massage great. Shower great in room. Had abit of difficulty with the room to begin with and we switched rooms. My partner left his body warmer in first room by accident he went back to get it and the cleaner had been in the room telling my boyfriend there was nothing there until he gave in and said it’s in my own personal room I will go get it for you. So watch what you leave behind as he was pretty much stealing this if my partner had not went back for it. Very noisy also right beside heliport.

Fantastic place with great views. Went for mine and my partner's anniversary, then returned around 18 months later and they remembered us. Great restaurant and friendly staff.

Staff at anytime suburb right outside the door a bus stop which takes you to the city and if you want there is a shuttle to the nearest major subway and bus station. The rooms clean neat and the bathroom just great with the big shower.

Hard to give this a top review as my room to start off with was very small and didn't have a view. Signal here to make calls was very poor, I had to go into the lobby and then outside! Wi-Fi should have been very fast knowing full well their signal is poor but even that was intermittent. Parking is £15 for the night which is reasonable, overall service was acceptable but it didn't give me the feel that I was staying at a 5star hotel. Not sure I would return.

One of my favourite hotels in the world! After recently having undergone open heart surgery and a lengthy stay in hospital — I had a dream that I would stay again at Hotel Rafayel when I recovered. The thought of this would cheer me up no end, due to having many a great memory of times at the hotel from past stays. The staff are all so friendly, warm and welcoming. Rooms are very large, fully equipped and most have spectacular views of the river. The free shuttle service is excellent for getting around London & the restaurant serves wonderful food. Just perfect!

Friendly and professional staff who are always willing to help. The rooms were spacious and clean. Small but appropriate gym containing every instrument needed for working-out. The restaurant has an incredible view of the Thames and serves great food at very reasonable prices. Highly recommended!

Had a great time here at Hotel Rafayel. Made my girlfriend's 29th a blast with the Jacuzzi. Many thanks to Ben who set up the decorations in the room for her. 6* if possible.

Absolutely beautiful highly recommended. All facilities in the room comfy bed not to mention the food and this is the lower grade room the king suite has a Jacuzzi in the room check it out.

Worth every penny. Huge, luxurious rooms. Only got room service but fantastic food.

This is a fantastic hotel. Great location, great facilities parking is reasonable and the rooms are fantastic. What more could you ask for?

Really nice hotel with wonderful staff. There is a free shuttle bus and also a public bus to and from clapham junction station, only fault I can find is not enough pillows, no milk in room for tea or coffee and breakfast is expensive. But all in all a good place to stay :)

This hotel knows how to offend people. Apparently it is this hotel policy to check if they are allowed to accept scottish pound notes? How utterly offensive? My family were left embarrassed by the staff lack of knowledge that scottish pounds are British pounds. I approached Tariq and he because what I would describe as argumentative, he was becoming irritated by me, his voice was raised arms folded. This is truly a disgraceful was to treat guests, it's a sure fire way to embarrass your guests but what's most shocking is the staff potentially do not know scottish pounds are British pounds. Tariq refused to even acknowledge or apologies and my attempts to communicate via Twitter have been ignored as well. This in my opinion summarises this establishment. If you appreciate the value of good customer service and a smile, I would look for somewhere else where your not horribly embarrassed just because your scottish or pay with scottish bank notes.

Hotel Rafayel is an amazing gem on the left bank of the Thames. A five star establishment from top to bottom. The breakfast is absolutely tops and you cannot beat the service. Aga made out visit particularly special with her warm, friendly nature and pleasant disposition. The food was also very good and the staff made our visit the best it could be The view of the river from our room was always pleasant… ducks, geese, swans, pleasure boats, crew and cruise ships as well as amazing sunsets. Traveling to London City was a breeze as bus stops are located a few steps from the lobby and cars and taxis are readily available as well.

It was okay but I wasn't amazed like I was expecting. The facilities were modern and the desk staff were kind and helpful but the spa area is tiny. The afternoon bar lady had no clue about serving drinks which was a bit of a joke. From reading reviews and comparing pictures from the website to what it actually was in person, I won't be going back and wouldn't recommend it to others.

Away from the metro stops. Poorly lit rooms and current outlets poorly arranged (eg missing outlets near the bed). The Wi-Fi took little inside my room.
The rooms are large and well clean with very comfortable beds. Also the breakfast (payable apart) very good.
Rated 2 out of 5 stars because from a 5 star hotel I would have expected better.

Clean, very large and quiet rooms, located in a magnificent location along the river, not far from the central area.
